501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using crypto to help the homeless - (for real - with pics!) on: May 06, 2019, 10:15:52 PM
So I just finished my last year of pharmacy school classes and have more free time now. As a result, I decided to start this project "Crypto for the homeless" mainly because I always wanted to get involved with something involving crypto (other than hodling). I also feel strongly compassionate for the homeless because of personal ties to loved ones who experienced it. Anyways, I went out twice so far and handed out some meals. Planning on going out again tomorrow - I was thinking of using a flyer this time with some QR codes and the url for the site to maybe help gain exposure. I definitely plan on expanding this as much as I can.

http://cryptohomeless.home.blog - this is the url - check it out! help spread the word and donate some satoshis if you want! thanks!
This a welcome development to the community. And it should bring lots of adopters in to Crypto and Blockchain. I love the idea and I believe many newbies are already taking note and Even to do better than.
502  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Central Banks in the Age of Blockchains on: May 04, 2019, 11:12:12 PM
Asking for the implication, I think that one simple implication is that it is likely to increase the bitcoin awareness. Such is because, people's confidence will increase since the banks and IMF have started understudying the blockchain tech. I think that it will show in the movement of price.
If there won't be another sort of regulations in future that will drive away investors and as well making the community to loose hope on bitcoin. We all are just hoping and waiting to see bitcoin have more value in future.
503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fun stuff to do with bitcoin? on: May 04, 2019, 11:08:35 PM
I remember the first years of bitcoin's life. There were so many things to do and learn: mining, faucets, wallets, blockchain visualizations, etc.

Nowadays the bitcoin world is pretty boring: mining is for people with deep pockets, faucets don't exist anymore, wallets are getting centralized by big corporations (blockchain.com, coinbase, etc.).

Is there anything fun left to do with bitcoin, any specific application, website, app, anything that will make bitcoin fun and interesting again? Otherwise I just keep on holding and that's it.
I don't think there is fun in bitcoin any more we are now getting more serious in the atmosphere. Definitely my own path where it's fun is the hunt if AirDrops and Bounties and getting to see how most projects sticks to their products and get to make the community believe they won't turn back on them. I remember wasting time and data back then for mining and faucets which was a big waste of time wish I knew about AirDrops and bounties it would have made a long impact in me. Which is not too late am still taking part today.
504  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to keep your funds secured? on: May 03, 2019, 11:06:23 PM
Im quite new to crypto so i wanted to know what exchanges do you use and i'd be grateful for advises on security. I currently keep my crypto on localbitcoins but it recently got hacked to im concerned for my money. I want to move it somewhere safe but still be able to make trades without much fuss. Im still learning to trade but im pretty serious about it. Can you recommend me a good exchange that hasn't been hacked yet?
Keeping funds secured is the number steps to keep in mind when embarking on Cryptocurrency hunting and the rest have you. Now we have lots of ways. And everyone in the Crypto space has its own ideas to give out. On my own path I don't store my funds in an online wallet where I don't have the private key to and secondly I don't store my private keys and other key online. And another aspect of securing funds on an Exchanger or any platform you come across is to deeply make some research before dumping your funds in them.

506  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to be A Good Trader? [new] on: May 01, 2019, 04:28:53 PM
There are certain perspective to be a good trader, few of them are you don't spend all your time much on your portfolio, you don't look back on any trade you executed no Matter how high it has gone.
507  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did i just lose all my bitcoin cash ? on: April 30, 2019, 10:17:52 PM
Whats the relationship like between Coinbase and blockchain.info
I copied the address from Bhc address from Coinbase, pasted to blockchain.info and clicked send

Now im like what the hell happened here, i was on Coinbase few days later and don’t see anything
Then i look blockchain.info history and it shows that it was sent to some long, even invalid address? (Not the case, valid address)

Can anybody tell what happened and where is the bitcoin cash
https://imgur.com/a/k02CbcN

Update 7 April:

It shows that the bitcoin cash is in this address- pr994hajwtscfvgcprmak52czn95uyg6gu6kysfpcq
The address has one transaction and i sure as hell don’t know anything about that wallet address.

Its impossible that i could of copied it from somewhere else.

So here’s what happened

Step one : copy paste coinbase aadress to blockchain and click send
Step two : sent bitcoin cash ended up in - pr994hajwtscfvgcprmak52czn95uyg6gu6kysfpcq which is not the current coinbase bitcoin cash address

Step three: lose all bitcoin cash and there is nothing that could of prevented that from happening

Edit : My opinion on this

You know if i made mistake somehow and sent it to the wrong address, I’d just accept it and end it.
It would be an unfortunate mistake and it wouldn’t affect my quality of live.I still have food on the table tomorrow

As i recall the sending in my memory, and i barely make one transaction a month.

i took out my iphone and opened coinbase and blockchain and do the back and fourth logging in.

There is just nowhere to copy and find another address to make a mistake with the sending.
Id accept a mistake, but i just can’t see how that could of happened.

Where did the address even come from ?

I’m just an athlete doing physical training and browsing social media

Edit : Update 24 April

I made a test transfer to coinbase and saw that address indeed changed after receiving the coins.I believe the earlier transfer changed and disappeared without crediting the account first

I talked to blockchain and believe that they are not at fault.
Coinbase has still not answered the first email and there is no other way to contact them.I believe that this is what happened

Second sent email to coinbase :

Hello i believe coinbase took my bitcoin cash.

I made a transfer of over 10 bitcoin cash to my coinbase wallet, but after sending the coins my coinbase wallet address had changed and there was no history of  transfer

The coins are currently in an untouched address which i believe to belong to coinbase and i believe that there was a coinbase wallet mistake and error in my account
In such transactions is good u crossed check the address double times before you can confirm definitely there should be something wrong with the address.
508  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Art of quitting !!!! on: April 30, 2019, 10:14:05 PM
Lets discuss about Art of Quitting . Entering any market or business is required lots of research , dedication as well as patience . I think its also applies for Quitting . Based on some research people successfully gained money in Crypto market or any other trading Market  They know the skill Art of Quitting . Could some experience people can give their Strategy about Exiting market in Right time .
Definitely what we understand to quitting the market is when the bearish is really hard ( that's when the market is not favourable and profitable at that moment you get to know it's time you exit the market).
509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mining would bring back excessive profit? on: April 30, 2019, 10:02:15 PM
What make an influence on Bitcoin mining is computing power, difficulty of computing power and electrovalence. Among them, the electrovalence can be seen as a constant value for the reason of smooth fluctuations under the annual mining contract. There are generally two reasons for drastic fluctuation. One is the evolution of mining machines or methods resulting in halving the reward of Bitcoin; the other is the value of Bitcoin mining won’t increase more than the fluctuation of Bitcoin price.

Hence, Bitcoin mining could return to the lucrative business if its price continues to increase (say, above $5,785).

Do we still have a legit platform for Bitcoin mining, because I came to realise late last year that many Bitcoin mining platform turned scam. And the only one we can recommend is that if hashrate, Genesis mining and so on. Mining in other words its not too profitable let's say in this present time.
510  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 4 Things Traders Must Do To Be Successful on: April 30, 2019, 09:56:53 PM
THESE 4 TRAITS WILL MAKE TRADERS SUCCESSFUL

If you have a passion for trading, Dr. Brett Steenbarger has some choice words for you: you're not going to make it. Instead, traders need to be passionate about markets. It may sound like a minor distinction, but it's not. In decades of working with billionaire hedge fund managers and traders, he's found that traders that are passionate about trading don't put in the work and trade too much.

To be successful trading, Dr. Steenbarger has learned:

1.   A rule of thumb for how traders should control losses so that they never lose more in a morning than they can make in an afternoon, more in a day than they can make in a week and more in a week than they can make in a month;

2.   Why traders should not just focus on minimizing their weaknesses, but also maximizing their strengths;

3.   A simple trading journal that will help you improve each day; and

4.   That the best traders are ones that embrace losses and use them to become better.

511  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: best coin for long term investing on: April 30, 2019, 09:51:33 PM
please tell which is best coin for long term investments
[/b][/i]
We don't have a best coin for investment, and definitely the community won't give you an advise in what coin you will dump your money on. Is a good thing for you to make research and also read about any coin you likely want to invest on in my choice Bitcoin is there to start from.
512  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I bet it all in bitcoin? on: April 29, 2019, 08:03:13 PM
"If I'm right in the thesis, what do I get?"

"But on the other hand, if I am wrong, what is the maximum I lose?"

With these two bezels on your head, it's easy to size and risk your bet.

The risk is huge and so we must scale very well the amount we have to lose, not to fall into the fallacy of trying to solve life with a single shot.
Is never a good idea to gamble all your investment in one project definitely we know Bitcoin is a good Crypto to hold for a decades but on the other hand you can still look out for other Crypto altcoin to hold to. There is always a risk in investment. So plan out your risk management well.

514  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Please be careful with traders who.... on: April 27, 2019, 04:12:15 PM
There are still some reasons besides that, maybe they want more money by giving courses to others. But you have still point, for me, I will never pay someone to teach me a trade or will buy some courses. I know it is much better to do our own research or more on self-study, much better for me since there's already a lot of resources now.
That's the last thing I can ever think of to pay someone to help me trade. Definitely I devoted my time to learn trading through some WhatsApp groups and as well as telegram groups too and also meeting some pro on (TV) tradingview.
515  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Please be careful with traders who.... on: April 27, 2019, 04:09:32 PM
"Please be careful with traders who run private groups, do phone consultations, and sell courses.

Most successful traders are too busy trading, they don't have time to teach.

It would be a distraction."

Saw this tweet just now.

Worth to share to those trading newbies who wants to rely on paid advisors.

Will not go deeper. Hope you got the picture.

(P.S. Credits goes to @BTC_M****. Decided not share the source link as I don't want to promote his Twitter account as owner's other tweets might influence newbies perspectives. But it's quiet easy to search.)
I guess this should give a good scope to the newbies who looks for shortcut on trading analysis. In my own say a busy trader doesn't have time to him or her self talk less of teaching. So to make it far just put up your own knowledge and Google search and also watch some videos about trading.
516  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: i Want to Trade my Bitcoin on: April 26, 2019, 06:30:18 AM
Trading of bitcoin is quiet easy and simple now than before where it's really difficult to go through. Now escrow services has made it easier just like we have LUNO and the rest which you are aware of Luno is quiet simple to go through and it's well used.
517  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When did you start trading? on: April 26, 2019, 06:27:42 AM
When did you start trading? And share me some of your experiences as a trader? Your failures and improvements.

By the way I am new to trading and I want to learn a lot of things about it Cheesy
I started trading early last year, when market was fair enough to trade. I believe now lots of money are leaving the crypto market and as well as more money are hopping in. I First started with a little capital which on the way I dropped due to the capital wasn't enough. My advice is don't Start trading with low capital.
518  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any reason to day trade anything other than bitcoin? on: April 11, 2019, 10:34:19 PM
We have other altcoin in the market, ETH is there so as Neo and the rest of them it basically depends on your analysis and skills on the market.
519  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 4 Things Traders Must Do To Be Successful on: April 11, 2019, 10:28:17 PM
Do we still have successful traders as we speak definitely we might, in my speech is due to some have just went out of the market if am not mistaking. Because as at when market was really bad lots of traders dropped. By the way and now it's picking up and we might see some coming back to trade I guess that doesn't make one a successful trader and at the process he or she might have forgotten some techniques to tackle the market
