501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coronavirus is ravaging a large portion of cryptocurrencies. Is this permanent? on: March 14, 2020, 08:11:07 AM
As you all may know, Corona is heavily affecting the crypto market, however, do you believe that this is permanent, or will the effects be seen for the next 3, 6, 12 or 18 months?

Talk about certainty, it is something we couldn't provide. There are some claims that such huge market drops was highly influenced by Corona virus, and there were some claims that the virus has nothing to do with it (remember myself few months ago). But anyway, by now I as well believe that such disease was the major factor among the parts of why is the market moving downwards right now. Is it going to be permanent? No. Crypto is highly volatile, and as soon as virus came to an end the market as well will recover, imo. And don't forget, halving is coming we might be able to see new heights here the thing is we don't know when, it might take a year based from the halving history.
502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction threads on: March 14, 2020, 06:39:17 AM
I have seen countless threads about gambling addiction and I've been sharing my experiences on those threads, To be honest those threads helped me realized the failures I got from being a gambling addict. I'm just curious if those threads helped other gambling addicts here and do the threads helped them on changing.

Does the gambling discussion here about gambling addiction help you reducing your gambling activities or helps you to think that you need to change?

Could not measure it all. But it gives me an idea, and somehow a feeling of being in their shoes you know a feeling of being portrayed by someone. Well may be there were people here who have been highly influenced by such threads/stories because they are truly useful as for someone who are looking for a person who behaves as they are. Since it is tough to listen to somebody who didn't knew the experience, who didn't knew being in their place, just a someone who are giving words of advice out of what they think are beneficial compared to someone who have been through it all a lot, much credible I mean much believable.
503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can porn sites make bitcoin more popular or will it brings negative effects? on: March 13, 2020, 06:45:21 PM
Porn site will bring negative effect for bitcoin because many investor bitcoin come from moslem people and they will dislike when bitcoin accepted for porn site, they will get negative effect if bitcoin using for wrong way.
But they can't stop that from happening, just like muslim does not like gambling but there are still gambling sites.
Bitcoin being accepted in port sites will not bring negative effect to its totality, maybe to some people or group but in overall, it will mean adoption, so goo effect.
Agree there will be people who will turn their back against bitcoin/crypto for this matter as their faith been corrupted with such action. And besides ain't everyone had the same faith, so no matter what actions bitcoin/crypto space might get involve into, I am pretty sure it would be good as it gets more exposure to public thus, the public will get notice the whole new world bitcoin/crypto has. Anyway, whatever it may be, IMO both side will get the benefit in this circumstances as bitcoin could fill the shortcomings in such platforms, and while being a such thing bitcoin would get he exposure it always been needed. Though it has a negative effects but the positive effects is in the upper hand here.
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will coronavirus encourage people to use crypto more thoroughly? on: March 13, 2020, 05:16:51 PM
I've seen somewhere across the web, that China has been taking measures to protect physical banknotes/bills from getting infected with the coronavirus. After all, it's said that the virus could be transmitted across physical cash in circulation from one person to another. If the trend continues, people will look for other ways to spend their money safely without having direct contact with the virus. In this regard, digital payments prove to be a winner when it comes to sending/receiving money without exposing yourself to physical banknotes/bills that have could've been contaminated with the coronavirus. I believe that it could be a win-win situation for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the Blockchain space. Unless governments decide to start rolling their digital currencies to the world, everything will remain likely the same as it is today.

Do you think that the recent situation will encourage people to use (or rely) on crypto more thoroughly? What are your thoughts? Huh

Depends on the usage. Because there were people who aren't into risk, and crypto is always associated with that 'cause once you engaged/convert your money here it is a matter of a time on where its value would downfall or rise up. Besides if their business were just for payment alone, and to avoid in contact with the virus then may be crypto wouldn't be in their choice, not even in the least especially when they want to kept maintaining the value of their money. On the other hand, people who are, some sort of risk taker, and are willing to take some changes with it then crypto really suits them up. Thus, the word encourage to use crypto thoroughly here is what defines them
505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19: Avoid casino, play online on: March 13, 2020, 03:56:47 PM
COVID-19 is still spreading all over the world, there are so many people affected by the virus, there are a lot of people who can not work anymore because of being afraid to go outside.

We should do something to prevent COVID-19 from spreading to each and everyone, if we want to play gamble, please do not go outside and find any nearest casino building just to play. I know that real life casino is better when playing because we can interact to anyone and we can also feel the ambiance of the real life casino but as of this moment, it is better to play online gambling than real life casino, it is better for you to stay at home to avoid contact to many people.

Let us help each and everyone, by simply obeying our authority by staying at home, do not go outside. Let us start stopping the virus, it will all start with ourself.

Thank you for reminding everybody here though. Playing casino or gambling games would be stopped by not playing on physical casino. There were some sort of online stuff out there that we could use for the mean time although kind of boring but it is the only way or the recommended way for us to fill the urge of gambling. If you get boring with it, then get rest, explore other stuff in your home, and tell you, staying at home for a moment is as well a good practice to lessen the gambling addiction, this virus did bring a good thing somehow. Anyway, COVID-19 is a serious thing, thus we must comply with the necessary action to lessen the scale of spreading it.
506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stop gambling in a time of crisis? on: March 13, 2020, 01:47:51 PM
Guys, in moments such this we are living, with a crisis just ahead of all of us, do you stop gambling?

In my case I have to admit that I will stop for a while.
When I see some crisis or a decrease of my salary (I have my own business), I immediately cut some stuff and gamble are one of the first I stop, like going out and trips too

So, what's your opinion?

There is more alternative to that, I could say not when my thing requires no physical contact to such places. What I mean if you could play, gamble online then there is no problem that needs to be solved as the virus doesn't spread digitally lol. Well in different crisis such as personals; financially like that then may be a total halt in such activities that consumes money should be done in the mean time to recover. Anything else beside that doesn't bother me to stop 'cause based on what I have mentioned there are more alternatives to that 'cause if it doesn't have or someone doesn't knew then he/she should be stop for a while on not to be a source on spreading the virus in the area.
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best time to fill the bag? on: March 13, 2020, 12:36:25 PM
I always reiterate that everytime is a good time to buy because as a trader, all you need to do is know how to identify an opportunity, strategize how to get in and get out in profit asap.

So with the present rates of tokens in crypto currency, now is a good time to fill the bag, but it depends on your skill to choose the right altcoins.
What are right altcoins ? DYOR and ensure you invest in a project that has an achievable product.

For short term basis, I supposed. However, for long term basis I do/everyone think that this current market condition is a great time for us to buy some crypto, dig in 'cause for sure anytime soon it will going back to what it was. Anyway, as for picking up a coin which to root one, may be those on the top spots in cmc will be good enough for you. Because anything else behind that, IMO, requires a proper recognition among them, may be for satisfaction and assurance purposes as investing in crypto space ain't just kind of joke thing though. So, fill some bags, gotta buy some though looking on the market is quite irritating in the eyes.
508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19 and its effect in Gambling World on: March 13, 2020, 11:37:26 AM
Now i have to stay home ,so basically im gambling again because of the corona  Grin
i'm not sick  Tongue
Great, enjoy, we will all stay at home because we are scared that we will be infected on the corona virus, if person like Gobert and Tom Hanks are infected, how much more an ordinary people like us, we have to be careful as this is a deadly virus, so chill at home, gamble all you want and enjoy the break.

The more the known personality and higher the chances of meeting or coming in contact with other persons the risk rises of getting infected . So people if possible should avoid travelling and I think now days even casinos would be quite empty as not much travellers are travelling and would like to stay away from a crowded place . This would have an impact in the gambling world for surely .

There's a big impact, a negative impact but at least this would also help the online casino grow at the same time.
This pandemic has starting to crush our economy, however, the gambling industry is big enough, most gamblers are online gambling so they can still certainly do their thing even without the threat is getting higher for the corona virus to spread more.

Agree there were bunch of websites/platforms offering the same thing like what a physical casino has. The difference is the environment of visiting a physical casino that is far exciting than the digital ones. And mostly grown-ups, or the aged people who aren't literate on handling technologies wouldn't be able to play online casinos without the assistance of somebody knowledgeable on it. Well, most of the death cases with COVID-19 are the elderly thus, they must the first one to comply with such proper action to avoid such threats. Anyway, high hopes that such threatening virus must come on its end soon.
509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Game Over? on: March 13, 2020, 10:32:36 AM
On the contrary, I think there is a correlation between traditional markets and crypto, it is because of the current corona virus scare that is spreading across the globe. And this is real, people died, many new cases are discovered everyday putting a lot of pressures on everyone including investors on the global market scale.

Moreover, crypto asset is very different, it's volatile and it is based on speculation. That's why it nosedive in the last 48 hours, because everyone is wanting to be on the safe side, they still prefer to have cash just in worst case scenario. Food are the main priority here, so people are stacking as much as they can and they needed fiat, that's why their is a massive cashing-out.

Agree to this man. Besides we couldn't say it that this massive event currently happening has no relation at all with the market condition right now, when in the first place crypto market is a mere speculation of connecting events. And unfortunately, COVID-19 is the most obvious one that we could say, a major factor? And I bet you would do the same either; cashing out your assets for them to buy them off of a foods, hygiene necessities or whatsoever that urgently need in this crisis, especially when the virus is near at your place, in my opinion. But if the virus effect or the panic itself ain't a thing with this market condition right now, if it is being natural I think it is absurd.
510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It doesn't look like on: March 12, 2020, 07:14:26 PM
I think you are under estimating the power of halving and the bullish momentum it has brought to the price of bitcoin, even if you check historically real btc bull trend has started after halving and has continued for more than a year so wise people know the importance of halving and in simple words the supply is reduced to half that drives the demand and value up so it is not a small thing.

Its not that Im not a believer here but this happening to the world have some crazy effect already. Today I saw the price continoualy declining. I know halving ia a good event for bitcoin but for the whole world to experience a serious pandemic virus that even NBA players, famous actor ( Tom hanks) has been also affected could means a big drop down to any sector and it means global crisis already.

Looks like it, man. I never thought it could brag the market down totally like this, and neither you see this coming? With this crisis remain unsolved do you think that the market will continue to decline? 'Cause I don't think it would particularly because there were nothing left to juice out here. What must be do is to wait for it to rise up again, in order for people to take the decent profit that would cover their necessities as the virus kept on continuing to spread. Besides with the incoming event, it is still long way to go, though it comes, bullrun ain't guaranteed already, since it is been showed in the history that it usually happen after a year when did the halving happened.
511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do ? on: March 12, 2020, 06:11:21 PM
So lets say "hypothetically" that I've came across a bug in a pretty big an well-established gambling websites sportsbook that allows me to place bets on matches which have already ended , thus knowing the outcome and being able to place some sure x30-x40 betslips.

What path would you follow , report the bug ,   or try to benefit from it ?

As much as I am tempted to take an advantage with this bug is the much I worry that it could be use against me, and worse might turn the situation upside down. That's why I am going to report such bug instead, and who knows that I may be rewarded with such act, a reward that is equivalent close to what I am supposed to win. Talk about winning here, with such cases it is always a win-win situation from the both of you (website and yourself) if you'll be cooperating with the people behind the platform on reporting the bug. 'Cause you might get rewarded, be offered a privileges, and lastly the recognition and on the website's side they'll be able to fix it and avoid such further loses with such problems.
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when price is dump?? on: March 12, 2020, 05:36:40 PM
The basic solution in times as this for traders is to Hold their/your capital in fiat or stable coin then wait patiently, then you get into the trade after there has been few more rekts or tokens has reached the bottom.

What do you think? Is it a smart move at this time?

Well, probably a one of the good ideas out there. IMO, if you're confident enough with the market or you do not have anything else to do with your holding then probably your idea might suit you best, on the other hand if you are not the typical type of person which I mention, in which you have bag of responsibilities with the crypto you are holding with, then converting it with stable coins might be the best idea that suits you. Regardless with these ideology, there were some other tips unmentioned here, but for whatever it is, as long as it don't impact you negatively then it could be a smart one, and you could take advantage with the market in this time not just by holding on your assets.
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More Damages to Crypto Market on: March 12, 2020, 04:27:14 PM
If this Coronavirus of a thing continues like this then do not expect anything good from Bitcoin halving in May or after May because it seems Bitcoin will keep going down from now on, damn no one saw this coming either way, I never expected a new virus to change the fate of Bitcoin and crypto market this year, the very year I've been waiting for, so sad  Undecided

Do you think that it is just a coincidence? I mean market were really going down it is just that the virus itself became pandemic as well, that we think that it is the virus itself that cause it, I am just wondering. I certainly think that this virus plays a major role with this current market condition. But anyway, because if it really a coincidence, then this down market were really an organic one. Nevertheless, let us just hope that soon the corona virus get shut down, the infected people be cured, and the market to recover as well.
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of good marketing on: March 12, 2020, 03:13:48 PM
Alot of projects in this crypto space lacks good marketing. Gone are the days where people use top personality to market their project for people to invest.
Some project have product but zero marketing. This makes them still undervalued and unnoticed.
Good marketing and a good community will bring a great progressive result for a project.
The crypto space values the community so much because they play a great role. Having a good community is Paramount and part of good marketing . Also listing on a good , popular, relaible exchanges is a form of marketing that will Introduce a project and it's product to a wide range of people.

Good project often came unnoticed. Well, there were countless of project out there we couldn't say it that they lack the market 'cause there were some participants always been involved, the quest if is the project itself if it is going to have a good run or not. IMO, no matter how big or small the project itself as long as it have a sufficient stuff it needs, it will going to progress but it will just ride a rough road ahead. But anyway, projects with good promotion or advertising often gather a lot participants especially those who do not check what stuff the projects have behind.
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Corona drop over or will it continue? on: March 12, 2020, 01:30:00 PM
It seems like the media aren't helping at all, they are the reason there is panics all around the globe right now, more over how many stock holders or crypto holders died from Coronavirus if I may ask? I guess none so why all this?

We couldn't take media to being set aside nowadays that we're living in a whole different era, wherein people are totally dependent on such platform to gather some information, news, and etc. No matter what the result would it be, helpful or not, it is a fact that we are as well somehow being into it, it is what it is. Anyway, going back to the topic, I couldn't agree more to OP, yes, the virus cause itself literally do have the big factor here causing everyone to panic (well, who would not?) it is just that the people aren't prepared to this event, couldn't act properly that they tend to panic, that leads their behavior on becoming more selfish. What's worse than this? is not the virus itself, but the behavior human presenting.
516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not blame it on Corona outbreak on: March 12, 2020, 12:43:24 PM
Alot of blogs and articles are referencing the facts that the present dip in prices is related to corona virus outbreak. But I do not believe so
I believe It's not just the virus, all these things were going to happen,
the virus just lit the match and acted as a catalyst

I believe so too. However, with the current circumstances right now isn't it because of the corona virus effect? I mean not on health but on the mindset of people all over the world, right now. Like there are panic buying in my country/place happening right now. People tend to buy all necessary stuff for them to lock themselves up on their home/room as corona virus been looking for a cure. Relating it to crypto space, it is more like people try to sell their crypto in order for them to buy it for such stuff alcohol, and foods... With that catch, and current crypto market it would as well drag down the price given the fear of not be able to take their possible profit.

I've read or tried to help build so many such lists I started get sick of them, really. Nobody seems to read them.
Becauss people always take such topics for granted believing that they won't be a victim, not a chance. And then would go back here, would look for some sympathy, will blame the project as if they don't deserve to be a victim in the first place when they entered/participated on their own discretion. Well reality sucks but it is what it is. Either way there are still people who found such topics a big help for their journey, I certainly believe so.

Maybe somebody could try to maintain a nicely formatted topic with the "good" bounties.
But at start it will need a lot of work.
I think there is someone who created a thread that tackles about a good bounties. He/She even had a telegram channel announcing bounties. So if you have time may be you could take a look up on his/her work.

519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here we go again on: March 06, 2020, 11:32:04 PM
As of today March 4 India lift the ban on crypto, how is this going to affect crypto market? Coronavirus is still out there, is this good or not good enough?
Good especially India has a big population that can surely affect bitcoin or the whole crypto space. And finally more video tutorials on youtube about crypto stuff, since people of India has been known to be a producer of tutorials, reviews about tech and stuff. Hence, would influenced large amount of people. Good of choice of their government though, I hope other countries who bans bitcoin/crypto on their country for ages be influenced by this great news India has. Well, anyway this news is worth more than anything as we can see newly people engaging into some crypto activities especially the India citizens.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Indiscipline and Greed on: March 06, 2020, 10:15:51 PM
Trading cryotocurrencies is not so easy but very profitable.  majority find it difficult to retain their profit after a successful trade which is mostly caused by greed and indiscipline. When you have made enough money, it's better to call it a day and wait for another day of opportunity. Instead, indiscipline will make you open another trade to make more money which is what usually  lead to  losing the profit you already made from your first trade. Anyone can make this mistake and the most important lesson is to learn from our past mistakes because the mistakes are the lessons.
It looks pretty easy to do but it is really hard to execute when it comes to personal behaviour. Because unconciously people are doing such stuff continuously disregarding the idea of what they already had then totally forgetting what's on their pocket already on their consecutive trade. And later will regret it when they run out of funds, and will realize that they even used the supposedly profit they should have. Well, blame is for 'em all because no matter what advices we spit out here if they won't take any action with that, if they will be indisciplined still then nothing would work here.
