Well good morning Bitcoinland.

It's a little too early for trains and fiddles but $30K at Stamp sure looks nice.

Onward and upward. Go Bitcoin go.

I  still have my BTC baseball caps. What I spent on them would buy a car now, or some land in Mexico.

Think of all the fortunes spent on alpaca socks.

pls don't remember me of my quarter million computer monitor and my 40k$ DVD burner   Roll Eyes

still, hard to beat Greg:

At least baseball caps don't become obsolete like DVDs or dollars.  Cool

i was reading this thread from starting (just for fun),
i seen users which are  the lucky early adopters and they are now millionaires, even billionaires now.

Lucky? Some call it foresight.

Patience has a lot to do with it too.

Without even considering the temptation for many to buy pizza and lambos with their bitcoin on the way up, there was much adversity for early adopters to wade through.  Luck was not an option and sadly, many did not make through unscathed.  I'm glad for the few stalwarts in this thread who were like pillars of support and advice and also for those who were the exact opposite who provided excellent examples of how not to proceed.  I'm not going to name names - you know who you are (not all are still active) and I thank you.

Unscathed? I  still have my BTC baseball caps. What I spent on them would buy a car now, or some land in Mexico.

Think of all the fortunes spent on alpaca socks.

A Sunday haiku:
Every time it rains it rains
Dog shits from heaven

Don't you know each bag contains
Dog shits from heaven...
And et cetera...

...grammatical proficiency is diminishing at an inverse proportion to my age.

It's not your age. It's the age we live in.

Grammatical proficiency?

Some people can't even grasp the simple concept of singular versus plural when it comes to pronouns.

Let's not miss any

Damn it. Something's happening in WO... Too quiet. No heated debates, no rusty pipes, no Batslaps, no Dude's resto/pissing pics, no proudhon posts, r0ach probably died or abandoned us, nullius fell in love with a Greek goddess and won't post anymore, Elwar's seastead sunk and he abandoned ship... Hell, not even a post about Bob's ranch or Jimbo's lake projects. Have we really stooped so low?

Price drives everything it seems... Come on, Bitcoin, do something (like a mega-pump to ATH+)... We need some Carolinas and Choo-Choos to get things going!

Jimbo's probably enjoying his lake and barbecuing up some steaks since we had some record high temps last week - one day we broke a 75 year-old record.

Actually, I was too busy with IRL stuff to make it up to the lake during that sweet spot after the snow melted and before the blackflies and mosquitos started. Also we've been busy with renovations on the new house we bought downtown last summer. Still working on the reverse mortgage to keep making capital gains tax payments without selling any much more Bitcoin. Trying to keep as much of my stash together until we achieve some new ATHs in a couple of years. Trying to get into a lower tax bracket.

Yes it has been ridiculously hot lately. Luckily we have excellent air conditioning in the city. Can't see going north to hide out behind screens running a generator to keep the AC going 24/7. Hopefully the blackflies will be done soon. Steaks on the barbecue at the lake will have to wait just a little longer.

Don't worry. Once we start making price daily gains in the tens of thousands of dollars you'll see the trains and fiddles again. It may be a heat wave IRL but it's still late Bitcoin winter. The Bitcoin days may be getting longer but it's still fucking freezing. Bitcoin spring is just around the corner.

Apparently our attention seeking bro has figured out how to get quoted several times and elicit replies.

I'm not falling for it.

Are you contributing to it by referring to it?

Am I contributing to it by meriting you?

 Huh

What is a bitcoin?
Hundred million satoshis.
Each little sat counts.

Quote
Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

How true.  The more the merrier.

I hate the term "wallet".

And pronouns, don't forget about pronouns!

Singular? Plural? Who cares?

Common sense doesn't matter. It's all about identity.

And we always lack one side of the history, for there to be a buyer, there must be a seller., and i think we allways understimat the seller in this history.

You mean Jercos (Jeremy Sturdivant).

Approximately 13 years ago, on this date 22 May a person named Laszlo Hanec in New York exchanged 10,000 Bitcoins (which were valued at around $25 at that time) to buy two Pizzas

Actually Laszlo Hanyecz lived in Florida.

He was a very important contributor in Bitcoin's early days, writing the code that enabled the use of GPUs to mine Bitcoin. Previously all mining was done on CPUs. This is what sparked the creation of mining-specific systems crammed with multiple videocards each sporting massive thread parallelism.

This led to a subculture of GPU mining which ruled Bitcoin mining for years until FPGAs and then ASICs took over.

Many people know him only as the Bitcoin Pizza guy. We owe him thanks for 2 things: establishing dedicated Bitcoin mining hardware, and giving Bitcoin a monetary value.

Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day Laszlo and thank you.

The next state orchestrated “Plandemic” is going to be a “Crypto Contagion”.
• There is going to be financial turmoil

Recession, inflation and rate increase , bank will cry. Invest in bitcoin before bull.

Bank will cry?, man bank never gonna cry, they are always one step ahead, or they receive money from the govement, change the law, change their names etc.

Well yes they are gonna cry to the press but backdoor they know how it works because they are the masters, not a peasant.

This is why it's so important to be your own bank.

NYKNYC

Illegal cab company? You mean Uber?

Uber isn't illegal. It is a scam though.

I hail a cab on a street corner, get dropped off at another street corner, and pay cash, my ride is totally private. Nobody takes my name, address, destination, banking information or any other sensitive information. The driver gets his money and has the choice of declaring his tip or not. I get to go where I'm going. No problem.

As soon as you start using phones and credit cards anonymity is lost. There's permanent record of who you are, where you came from, where you went, and how much you paid. No thanks.

Same is true with subway in NYC.

Used buy a token for 35% drop it in the turnstile and no one knew if you were on any subway.

Same also in Toronto with the whole public transit system but they're trying to change that. They recently stopped selling subway tokens and they want to phase out tickets and cash on surface routes and get everybody using "Presto" smart cards. Their excuse is that 90% of passengers already use the cards. I haven't checked out how difficult it is to obtain a card anon-/pseudonymously. I still use metal coins.

I'm a big baseball fan. I used to be able to walk up to the box office and buy a ticket anonymously with cash and then pay for a beer with cash. No cards or identification required (although I did get carded buying a beer when I was 60 years old). Now they've discontinued paper tickets and even scannable season ticket holder cards. Now you're obliged to bring an Android or Apple device to the ballpark and use their "Ballpark" application to display a moving barcode to be scanned at the gate. Last year you could print the QR codes for your tickets on paper and scan that. Not any more. Now you must physically bring a device to the park. The last thing I want to bring to a ball game is a telephone, especially one with a GPS that can be triangulated by cellular towers . To add insult to injury, they don't accept cash for beer anymore. Now you have to keep a permanent credit card record of every beer and hot dog along with the time of purchase.

There is no freedom without anonymity. I'm constantly amazed by how many people don't care about freedom anymore.

mprep says plagiarism doesn't apply to images here.

It may not be plagiarism but it sure as hell is spam.
