Starting out with what?

The biggest wastes of money are ridiculously priced haircuts. You don't ever need to pay hundreds of pounds for one. Just get a hairdresser gf instead lol.

It's a long way to colonize Mars.

It's a long way to mars. I can't imagine they;ll ever get funding for this if they are entirely serious and it's not just a marketing ploy or publicity stunt etc.
503  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you have a bitcoin blog and looking for a guest poster? on: April 22, 2014, 10:49:34 PM
I take it you're not wanting to do this for free? lol. Check or advertise in the services section.
504  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Browser You Use on: April 22, 2014, 10:48:43 PM
I mostly use Chrome and sometimes Opera. Firefox is so damn slow.

It's usually only slow if your computer is. Never had problems with mine.
505  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Song are you Listening To? on: April 22, 2014, 10:48:03 PM
Bon Jovi - It's my life

Legendary song if you ask me  Smiley

Not as legendary as his older classic anthems.
In due time this one will be too.

Maybe, but I wouldn't say it's better than their other big earlier hits. Love a bit of Bon Jovi though lol.
506  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is this Charlie Shrem ? on: April 22, 2014, 10:46:03 PM

507  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's wrong with eating meat? on: April 22, 2014, 10:44:59 PM
And has anyone raised the issue that if everyone went vegetarian in the world and we stopped meat production with farms and such we would run out of phosphor which we need to provide the population with vegetarian food by 2035~ (source forgotten but feel free to google it)?

This is not an issue. Because there's a huge margin between the current situation, and all the world becoming vegetarian; that's litteraly impossible. And actually, most of the phosphorus we use is mined from calcium phosphate rocks. And there's phosphorus in all cell membranes, wether they come from animals or plants.

I recommend the BBC documentary "How Many People Can Live on Planet Earth?" if you wanna learn about how much cultivation is ruining our planet. You can't blame the meat industry for everything, just saying'.

I don't think people are saying its the problem for everything, but it causes much harm and damage. I'll check out the doc.

509  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does anybody else get annoyed when people call gold "butter"? on: April 22, 2014, 10:41:19 PM
Cheddar and butter. All you need now are some potatoes.

Or bread. I love just butter and cheese sandwhiches. Jacket potats are great too though.
510  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: April 22, 2014, 10:40:28 PM
Isn't it best to check if it's a bad kind of mold?

How do you know if its a bad kind  of mould?
511  Other / Off-topic / Re: Colonizing Mars on: April 22, 2014, 08:16:51 PM
I think most of the participants haven't full realized that they are going on a one way ticket. Meaning they will stay there for the rest of their lives. For the first two years there will be only 4 people on the base as well. Someone of them is definitely going to go nuts and kill everyone up there...

My main concern about the Mars One mission is just that. I think they may have a real lord of the flies situation once a small handful of people get up there, and start to realize there is no practical way for anyone to restrain them from doing whatever they damn well please. I think a starter colony should be a much larger group to help mitigate this, but then it gets prohibitively expensive...

There are some groups that do "Mars" training by having people live in special facilities in desert/tundra regions and a large part of the rationale behind it is to explore the psychological effects of isolation, being trapped indoors for extended periods of time, etc.

I'm sure if they don't already realise they're not coming back they will very soon. I also think it wont work. People can go insane quite quickly in space and loose their shit.

do you think it would be possible if we did have a settlement, and there was a reality-type TV show, that it wouldn't be epically popular? i think the world has gotten so dumb (especially the us govt) that the show wouldn't be a hit to the majority of the world.

I think you are bang on.  The moon landing was one of the most watched programs in TV history.

There's some kind of Mars reality show in the works apparently. Not sure how feasible or if it'll actually happen though.

515  Other / Off-topic / Re: How can "black markets" be considered safe? on: April 22, 2014, 06:16:37 PM
So a while a go I was looking through the Tor hidden wiki. Some things like stolen CC's I think is very hard for law enforcement to stop.
But I remember reading about a guy selling citizenship to the US. Apparently this guy had a contact in the US government that allowed him a limited amount of green cards per year.

If this guy is legit wouldn't this be very easy for law enforcement to stop? Since FBI, CIA etc are part of the government all they have to do is order a green card from this guy.
When they receive it they check with their pals in Washington exactly how it was possible for them get citizenship. Then they will find out who the "government contact" is.

It's basically the same with stuff sent by mail. All they have to do is order some illegal stuff and then trace where the package was sent from.
That's possible right? The postal service have the ability to track mail right?

The guy probably wasnt legit. Saying yoiu have a contact in the Usgov sounds a bit simple,

And they can only track certain mail. They wont be able to track a random letter or package without knowing about it and intercepting it first.
516  Other / Off-topic / Re: do you enjoy eating sandwiches with potato chips in them? on: April 22, 2014, 06:02:47 PM
I used to do it all the time as a kid but haven't since. Might have to try it again soon.
517  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's wrong with eating meat? on: April 22, 2014, 05:59:22 PM
Theres Genesis 9:3
Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything.

Theres plenty about eating animals, I don't what bible you are looking in.

He probably wasn’t looking in any bible seeing as intelligent people don't get their rules or morality from such books.

Even if your not of Christiain faith, theres still things that are common sense, and historical truths.

For example
Thou shall not murder? Common sense, happens to be in the bible.
Adultery, lying, all common sense, "happens" to be in the bible. So yeah, "Intelligent" people may or may not get there rules/morality from the bible but does not mean you should dismiss the book altogether. That maybe a reason why its the number one most sold book.....

Thou shall not murder unless you're a homosexual. What does the ammount of copies sold have to do with anything either?
518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC transfer are too damn slow! on: April 22, 2014, 05:55:24 PM
OP, congrats this is a new topic never discussed before.  Wink

There is no trolling.  It's the truth and you know it.  Confirms or not, it's the same f---ing thing.  SLOW

The problem is that when trolls complain, they don't make the effort to compare the same f---ing thing.

How long does it take for a credit card (or debit) transaction to become irreversible for the merchant?
How long does it take for a PayPal transaction to become irreversible for the merchant?
How long does it take for an ACH transfer to become irreversible for the merchant?

When compared to these common forms of electronic payment, Bitcoin is not SLOW.  Bitcoin is actually quite FAST.

Even FedWire (which is nearly instantaneous once the transaction is actually put on the wire) can take more than 24 hours from when the user contacts their bank until the merchant receives confirmation from their bank that the payment is received.

EDIT:  It appears that the troll has deleted the post that I responded to.

Yes, from start to final confirmation BTC is REALLY fast.
The challenge is finding ways to "let the customer leave the store" without needing to wait for several confirmations.

Payment processors, but I don't think waiting for several confirmations is needed. Don't you need to send them simultaneously to even attempt to double spend?
519  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: April 22, 2014, 05:53:42 PM
What do constructive posts mean? Does it have limit for the number of words per post?

It has to be relevant to the thread or discussion. Short sentences are fine but not one word replies.

Which has strict rule about posting ritz or stunna?

Why? It shouldn't matter unless you're going to be spamming. If you post rubbish you'll likely have your posts reported and maybe even banned.

Some of my reply are short some are long. I don't know which were counted. It has nothing to do with spamming.

Most of yours are very short from what I can see.

Posts like these probably wont be counted:

Harry potter is gay.

Yes  Smiley

And if you make them with a sig deal there's a possibility you might get banned.

520  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: April 22, 2014, 05:49:34 PM
After you pay people one month, write down the usernames in a list "march 17- april 17", next month when you are doing the payments again you can see which members are still on your campaign.
Can help out if there is anything I can do.

Oh and, I sent you back last months payment through Primedice last night. Wink

I suggest Stunna send monthly payments directly to PD deposit addresses... Grin

Yeah he could just credit ours PD accounts Cheesy haha... I told him that when had issue about payment , so he asked for new addy Cheesy I just said send it to my pd acc Tongue . It will go there anyways , why not save up fee Cheesy .

That is very smart Smiley spend all earning @ PD ... Smiley I wish you luck, but Stunna must be very happy Cheesy as he pay you for your posts, and you are giving it back while playing Cheesy so it is like he doesn't pay for your sig at all Cheesy

I am sure Stunna if very happy when you are doing it this way.

That's how bit777 used to do it, but they were a bit more harsh, if direct payout it's half the BTC, if it's to bit777 it's full amount.
Or you can look at it as such, that they doubled the price to the Bit777 accounts. Smiley

Not really, since Stunna, its only competitor was paying 0.0002/post, and Bit777 was paying 0.0001/post, 0.0002/post if Bit777 account.

He's probably talking about Bet777 double their pay for money per post.

Which has strict rule about posting ritz or stunna?

They're both the same really. No spamming.
