181  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 23, 2014, 10:32:57 AM
It's been a while since I've been on the PD signature as I moved over to the fixed deals as they're better for me as I only do around 50-100 posts, but I'm eager to see if Stunna moves to a fixed rate. Hopefully he'll better the current deals or make it 100 posts instead of 50 or something. Will the new deals be coming for Pd3?
182  Other / Off-topic / Re: 7 on: July 23, 2014, 10:19:24 AM
Coincidence only.
You made this in July which is the 7th month of the year.  Shocked Shocked    Roll Eyes

Exactly. You could literally do something like this for every number and it would produce similar results. I remember seeing all kinds of crazy conspiracy theories about the numbers 911 after 9/11 etc.
183  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Free electricity but no free Internet... Should I still mine? on: July 23, 2014, 10:13:43 AM
lol, no you should not mine. It's quite clear you know very little about this. Without expensive mining equipment you will get zero. You can't just take your laptop and a usb miner you bought off ebay plonk it down in a library for a few hours and expect to get some easy coins. Please do some more research before you jump in.
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fun with Winkle "COIN" on: July 23, 2014, 10:10:42 AM
Winklecoin? Is this some crappy alt or are you just talking about their fund? I don't see how it will be a 'game changer' though. Can you explain?
185  Other / Meta / Re: BitcoinTalk phishing scam! on: July 23, 2014, 10:08:49 AM
Its probably not a phishing scam but just trying to scam you out of money by thinking youre getting forum adds. Somebody was scammed a bit ago like this but via the forum.
186  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-21] Meet the High Schoolers Developing BitSell, the $150 Bitcoin ATM on: July 23, 2014, 09:05:26 AM
This seems like it needs a lot of work before it becomes worthwhile. Have they provided any mock ups of what it will even look like? And like others have said, just using credit cards is a big negative. And is it even legal for high school kids to crowd fund these type of things?
187  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-23] - New Zealand to Treat Bitcoin as Foreign Currency on: July 23, 2014, 08:59:12 AM
I think treating it as foreign currency is the best way to go and gives it some legitimacy in my eyes. It also makes things easier and clearer to know where you stand legally or on the paying taxes front.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: Bitcoin Demographics Highest Education Level on: July 23, 2014, 08:57:18 AM
What purpose does this serve other than to fuel snobbery? Qualifications are not necessarily an indication of intelligence. And I bet a lot of those surveyed lied  Cheesy.
189  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any auction sites like what bitmit used to be? on: July 23, 2014, 08:53:17 AM
Yes, it has a built in escrow service. I recommend it.

that galaxy s3 on the site is a pretty good bargain. brand new for $200, wtf m8? you can't get one for that price on craigslist or ebay..

Like ebay, that listing may or may not be legitmate. Check the sellers feedback. No other sales yet so be careful and use your own judgement on these things, but as long as you don't release the escrow you should be fine.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Karpeles Auctions off Bitcoins.com on: July 23, 2014, 08:51:51 AM
Ugh, he shouldn't even auction this off. What if it falls into the hands of someone who will use it badly? He should just donate it to the community somehow. He's never going to earn enough money from this to pay everyone back anyway.
191  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-19] Chain’s iOS API Provides Fingerprint Authorisation for Bitcoin Apps on: July 20, 2014, 06:54:10 PM
I think this technology could be put to good use if it's used right. Having some sort of fingerprint scanner to finally ok a transaction would be a good idea ontop of 2 factor authentication.
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why should common people use bitcoin? on: July 19, 2014, 04:37:53 PM
Common people? As with all technology it is first adopted by a select few who are in the know, but once it becomes mainstream these 'common people' will all wish they took the time to try understand or use the technology. I don't think bitcoin is even that complicated to use, but I realise that it seems to at first, but as with all tech that is a barrier people need to overcome.
193  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: July 19, 2014, 04:30:45 PM
Nobody cares about getting some crappy worthless pre-mined coins. If somebody wants to start their own alt coin version of this thread go ahead, just make sure it's in the alt coin forum. I'm sure it'll be useful over there but not here.
194  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-18] Dell Computers now accepting Bitcoin!! on: July 19, 2014, 04:29:05 PM
Wow, I had no idea Dell was that huge. I've got an old Dell and it's served me well but I think this announcement is going to push me to buy a new one with my coins as I've been itching to spend them on something and this is perfect.
195  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is it just a coincidence Malaysia Flight MH370 disappearance now MH17 shot down? on: July 19, 2014, 04:26:32 PM
Yes, it literally is just a coincidence. What other relation could there possibly be, though this isn't going to stop conspiracy theorists going wild with their imaginations. I think the simple matter of a fact was that the plane was flying over a warzone and some idiots blew it out of the sky just because they could.
196  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dead bodies in Malaysian aircraft. on: July 19, 2014, 04:24:25 PM
What are those punched out holes in the passport or does nobody know at this point? I did find it weird how the bodies were pretty much all in tact and the passports that were being shown around looked pristine. I'm not saying there's a conspiracy there but it was surprising to me.
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could the US government gain control of Bitcoin? on: July 19, 2014, 04:21:29 PM
I can't see any government going to this length in an attempt to take control. It'll be futile as even if they were successful people would just move on or create a new currency so there's literally no point in fighting it so they've better learn to live with it.
198  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you know that most girls are Bi? on: July 14, 2014, 11:05:14 AM
most females are bi

Do you have any research of sources on this claim or has it come from one of these polls that has been taken out of context when women are asked if they find other women attractive but are not necessarily sexually attracted to them?
199  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Pope Francis: 'About 2%' of Catholic clergy paedophiles on: July 14, 2014, 08:42:11 AM
It was interesting to see that he's looking into the possibility of letting priests marry women. I wonder if this would stop them abusing children? It's not natural to be celebrate and can only cause problems. I'm not even sure if there was anything in the bible strictly about it either.
200  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-14] ANX Issues World’s First Bitcoin Debit Card on: July 14, 2014, 07:31:55 AM
Where can we buy these things and do they ship worldwide. Does it credit you with the balance when you top up the card or what the coins are worth on the actual day when you go to spend them? Surely it's the former as opposed to the latter?
