Obviously it shouldn't be an arrestable offense to take drugs or own drug paraphernalia, but if the cops spot something illegal going on wherever they are then they're going to act on it. But yeah, fuck cops  Cheesy.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi ..Private key lost? on: November 24, 2014, 12:02:35 PM
The only thing anyone can be certain about is that his coins never moved thus far. Outside of that, everything else is speculation.

And we all know how much people like to speculate on here  Cheesy. For some people that is all they're interested in sadly.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiners, Stop Worrying About Everything! on: November 24, 2014, 11:58:34 AM
Working in the Bitcoin world is like working for a drug addict with bipolar disorder. There are brief periods of astonishing, irrational exuberance followed by long periods of deep existential dread over basically nothing. During the good times, nothing can damage Bitcoin’s spirit. But for most of the time, bitcoiners are a bunch of namby-pamby worry-warts who wet their pants over everything.

I can kind of see his point. I was like this when I initially got into bitcoin as I guess many people are, but I soon learned to get over it. IF you don't it can become very stressful very quickly. Now I'm just chill and passing the time because I know bitcoin will probably become less eratic in the near future.
84  Other / Off-topic / Re: BEST IRREVERSIBLE PAYMENT OPTION ONLINE OUT OF PAYPAL,PERFECTMONEY,SKRILL on: November 03, 2014, 07:16:24 PM
Paypal is obviously the least safe, but I think even Skrill can be reversed, but not sure about Perfect Money. People can also use a creditcard and chargeback months down the line. I'd check with the sites terms and conditions before accepting them.

Like the investment, when you play mentioned every way this sentence: "Don't bet what can you afford to lose"

That's a given but irrelevant if you're addicted or becoming so, but they probably didn't bet more than they could afford to lose, but nobody wants to lose and it's never a nice feeling when you do.

Hey guys, Cyyy here with a post that's bound to get lost among the current Hufflepuff madness.  I'm only posting this here since I guess I became a sort of figurehead in the chat room thanks to my occasional tipping sprees, chattiness & helpfulness.

I'm calling it quits for gambling.  Kind of.  Thanks to a combination of boredom & laziness, I somehow managed to lose 2+ BTC without batting an eye today after making a nice climb upwards, which is a good indication that I should quit while I'm ahead.  PD has been causing me too much anxiety and is detracting from my real life so it's time take what I have and run for the door.  I think I'll still show up for a weekly 0.1 5-20x YOLO on Fridays but I will no longer be hanging out in the chat room or betting regularly.

It's been a fun few months, but it's time for me to get a new hobby!  May your bets be forever green and your faucets overflowing.

Probably a good idea if you're sensing it may become a problem. It's far too easy for gambling to go from having a bit of fun to soul/life-destroying. Good luck.

Has Huffle lost much beforehand? It's unlikely that his luck has been so continuous in the past. Most people will lose money in the long run. I feel kinda bad for PD, but it's also nice to see someone win so much and it makes you realize that the business is also a gamble for the operators who run it.

PD didn't care about talking every BTC from AK. they even took his last 0.00345362 so i dont care if hufflepuff takes theirs.

what i mean by that is PD should have given AK 10-20BTC comp to help him get back on his feet a week or two after.

I talked to AK last night and PD doesn't keep up to date in paying him his monthly and all time leaderboard BTC
Nonsense! AK lost fair and square. It's not Pd's job to help him get back on his feet. You do have a point about the leaderboard. Seems like PD hasn't been paying those out regularly

They offered AK a 2% rakeback, so they aren't all that heartless ;P

As heartless as it may sound they should remain heartless. All you'll get by offering refunds is sore losers crying that they want or should be entitled to a refund as well. PD should take a hard stance on this.
88  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anyone use random.org password generator? on: November 03, 2014, 06:31:45 PM
Why bother with this? If it's ridiculously complex you're likely to forget it, and no matter what your password is if you've got a keylogger you're screwed anyway. Just don't have a basic pass and you should be fine. I'd concentrate more on keeping your coins secure and accessible only by you more than how complex your password is.

Easy passwords could be brute-forced easily. Strong passwords are very important.

It doesn't have to be easy, but read what I actually wrote because strong passwords don't mean shit if you're not careful. Nobody should ever have access to your wallet other than yourself, but if you're not careful you wont be careful about keyloggers either most likely.

Why would they 'care'. They're a business. McDonalds doesn't care if you spend all or your last change there. And why should PD have given any money back to AK?

If that was the case their ploy to get free advertising hasnt gone very well as they don't seem to get much. There's only been a couple of disqualifications recently. If they wanted to they could make the rules much stricter and kick off many more people on technicalities.

Would I be able to join? I'd live to reserve a spot if possible. Can you check my posts and let me know if I would be accepted? TY.

Probably Tradefortress, but I'm pretty sure there was an exact thread about this recently.

Edit here it is: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=771316.0

Beware of this campaign folks. I've been a member of several signature campaigns and was never treated so badly. I suggest going to other campaigns.

Clearly luckybit has made up their mind given their non-response. Hopefully all of this was worth the 0.05 Bitcoins you saved. I know a lot of people in the Bitcoin community and they will be hearing about this.

I bet they're shitting themselves. Luckybit/Stinglewood seem pretty fair and consistent with their enforcement of the rules and anyone else who didnt meet the criteria would be treated the same. If they gave you special treatment they wouldnt be though.

Round 3 of advertising in this thread has started! Click here to place your bet!

Gross Sad

I'm not visiting the front page of this thread anymore.  I'll still pop in to see about the last few pages to see if there's anything interesting going on that I missed.  But it's really easy to see what sig-ad campaigns are happening by simply looking at the "Services" board.  Too bad this has become some kind of commercial service.

Lol, you do realize you've got an advert in your signature? I'm not going to read your posts anymore since they've become some sort of commercial services. Too bad for you. Love how people just love to moan about the tiniest of things on here.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you USE your BTC? on: October 14, 2014, 11:16:17 AM
I made a vow to not spend my coins until they hit at least £500. This is the price I will feel comfortable spending them and feel like I am getting a decent amount for my investment. I believe this time will come with a little patience.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Holding BTC only raise it's monetary value. on: October 02, 2014, 03:15:31 PM

So what's the point of holding while your X bitcoin is always gonna be X.Not making any profit, just assuming one day it could get mainstream.

Except that would make profit. Your argument seems to be contradictory. You may have the same amount of bitcoins but their value may be drastically different.

100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Laxotrade Send 10k sat in advertising on: October 02, 2014, 10:32:31 AM
I wonder how much they've spent on this form of advertising? I've seen reports of individual users racking up 0.01 in payments every time a batch gets sent out. I guess it does work in some respects but not if you're sending out many bitcoins.
