Does anyone know how long I'll have to wait before I have enough activity to start again?
802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Name the 0.0001 BTC unit - Final Poll on: January 09, 2014, 03:25:07 PM
What about a 'blip' instead?  Smiley
Lol... I dunno, that sounds a bit weird. I think if Nakamoto is shortened to Naka or Moto that would be a good option.

Moto/s sounds good, but nackas sounds like knackers which means bollocks over here  Cheesy. I still like blip/s though.

I like both blips and motos. I could see them catching on.
803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Fees on: January 09, 2014, 03:17:13 PM
Can someone explain the fees to me?  If someone sends me .0001 BTC what is the fee charged?  How about .01 Bitcoin?

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_fees

You can choose how much to send yourself.

Is there a list of what all the other denominations are called?
806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs. Paypal - and PayPal is getting sued. on: January 09, 2014, 02:44:15 PM
Hope you are successful. Paypal needs to be held accountable for their actions. They can't just go handing money back to criminals without any good reason.

Welcome. I am also from the UK. It's not really that cold here at the moment.

Actually today was a fantastic unexpected sunny day in London Smiley
Welcome aboard editor22

It's just right; not too cold, but there's a bit of sun shining through the clouds to take the chill away and warm you up

You can slow down a freight train but you can't stop it, even with both hands  Cheesy

Unless you're Spiderman or Superman.
809  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Meme and Greed - two gods of Crypto? on: January 09, 2014, 02:07:57 PM
The miners move along as soon as the coin becomes unprofitable then the newbies get bored and also move on.

So what happened with this game? Did anyone win?
812  Other / Meta / Re: Problems with tor and the forum on: January 04, 2014, 06:36:03 PM
I understand the reasoning for it, but obviously it doesn't really work against spammers or scammers as they'll just keep hitting new identity, but it is annoying to to other users.

Weirdly I had about 2-3 hours or browsing today without being booted off.
813  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Missed Out On 50 Coins Because Im A Newbie! on: January 04, 2014, 06:15:42 PM

I think you need to provide more details. What payment options can you use and are you willing to escrow?
816  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm about to make a revolutionary annoucement! on: January 04, 2014, 05:41:46 PM
Keep your eyes open for the most revolutionary Crytpographic idea!

Let me guess, it's a clone and offers nothing new apart from a memename?

Stunna, What if I post in the politics section and the off-topic section yet its on topic to the post? Does that count?

As long as the post is of average quality or higher there will be no issues with that. When people are spamming images or identical answers on tons of threads is when I will look into revoking payment.

I haven't seen anyone spamming images, but I've seen some people copying and pasting the same responses or answering questions that have already been answered and so on.

I would be willing to help out any way I can.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POST HERE if you came for the COINYE WEST Crypto! on: January 04, 2014, 04:57:39 PM
I hope the media will stop spreading these kind of news in the future. Because one news site posted it other followed as well. In my opinion Coinye is just the beggining...

I like how this hasn't even been released yet and the media are all over it.
819  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This is exactly why I believe in bitcoins ! VISA & Banks are thiefs ! on: January 04, 2014, 04:48:40 PM
Just like getting parts for a mining rig, you need to shop around for your bank and/or credit cards.  I don't know much about the rest of the world's consumer banking systems, but at least in America, there are tremendous differences in rates and fees between different credit cards issued by different banks.  If the one you use charges too much, change to one that charges less.  If enough people do that, then the original card's fees will be lowered to compete, and everyone wins (including, unfortunately, the banks and CC companies as they may get more customers at their new lower fees....)

In the end, however, I'm hoping that large central banks are eventually doomed as crypto currencies take over and replace the use of fiat currencies.  That's what we're all working towards here, isn't it?

Just don't use banks or cards that charge. Shop around for a good deal like you would a phone contract etc.
820  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's a coin bit? on: January 04, 2014, 04:27:00 PM
Hi I'm new. What's a bits coin?

Bits of a coin reffer to the fact Bitcoin can be divided to 8 decimal digits.
Like you can have only 0.001 bits of a coin

But Im new as well

I'm pretty sure he's just trolling you guys.
