with the new wallet when i remove everything in %appdata%\roaming\ultracoin apart from the wallet.dat my coins balance drops to 34utc when it should be 170000utc?
When i revert back to my old wallet my coins show up but it wont sync as it gets stuck on blockchain 855838.

When i try just to install the new wallet without removing %appdata%\roaming\ultracoin it  just gets stuck on the new Ultracoin logo splash-screen. After an hour I stopped the process and presumed it had crashed.

Not slept all night trying to resolve this. Any ideas?

when you removed:
did you wait that all blocks was updated? All coins wont show up until all is update. That happened for me and all is now showing up.

its been downloading the blockchain all night - at 68% currently - i hope so - will inform you all the outcome

Is there an official Twitter account for Bitbay?
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay |Decentralized Marketplace|Smart Contracts|IoT Tech|Markets Open on: December 05, 2014, 06:32:36 PM
Looking forward to it! Let's not get too focused on price! This is a long term project so don't get to down hearted if we don't see immediate rise in marketcap.

- 33% of dev fund at btc at delivery of wallet with integrated smart contracts (Dec. 5th, 2014)

I guess this Friday (5th) should be pretty interesting Smiley

With this fund release will the devs be buying Bitbay does anyone think? Just curious really. I'm not to worried about price as its still very early days and i'm not selling for at least a few years.

Like to say great work been done by Steven and the devs. Many other coins devs/creators seem to be abandoning their coins by the looks of it and not doing anything proactive or development work (such as Maxcoin going by what I read in their thread) leading to these dropping down the ranks. It's great and refreshing coming on here seeing our management still fully behind and involved in Ultracoin and what it stands for. Please keep up the great work as without you guys in sure many investors would have abandoned ship and watched Ultracoin drown.

I'm greatly looking forward observing what will happen here over the next 24 months adoption wise and development wise, and I hope you will still be here leading the way.  Maybe Microsoft may have approached UTC to be their crypto payment solution? Or we would have been adopted as a means of payment by ebay? Maybe UTC will be close to $1 leading to us been able to employ a whole dev team? The possibilities are endless. I do know is we have to stay with 'the pack' and can't afford to slip in the ranks. so guys please tell all your friends about UTC when crypto is mentioned in conversation (and it will be in the coming years that's for sure!) Like all the facebook posts and retweet all their tweets. Its a community effort that we HAVE to all participate in if we want to be regarded as genuine choice for investors.

I think we will bounce up in a few days or even sooner, I think someone with big pockets jumped on the train and are accumulating  Roll Eyes

What makes you think this? I think Mermaids will jump out the water at Copacabana Beech. . . .

Without substance stop telling us what you think will happen, like all the other teenagers in threads. Be factual and helpful rather than creating your own gossip

I am purely empirical and believes in that history will repeat itself like history often likes to do.  Wink

See that zigzag pattern in the price? When we reach a price around 0.000075 - 0.00008 we have seen huge spikes in price. I think it is a cycle about to repeat itself.

Yeeeesh! No need to make mermaid references Angry

where did you get this graphs please?

is it possible to work on the esthetics of the wallet - such as make the backgound white (not grey) so the logo blends in rather than it looking like its just been stuck-on to the wallet. Just an idea but think it will make it look more professional? Also can we have a desktop shortcut like other wallets so we dont have to go into the ultracoin folder to open the wallet?
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay |Decentralized Marketplace|Smart Contracts|IoT Tech|Markets Open on: November 23, 2014, 02:49:50 PM
I am heavily invested in Ultracoin also  as I believe transaction speed will play a big part in the coming years.

I'm just curious as to why one would pick Ultracoin because of transaction speed. Many POS coins are almost instantaneous now. Darkcoin is about to rollout what will probably be the fastest by far of all currently as they can avail themselves of a 2-tier technology to support transaction speed.

Even Bitbay itself is probably about as fast as Ultracoin. What's the pull ?

its transaction speeds are 6 seconds and confirmed in 30 seconds. At the time of investment it was by far the fastest crypto. It still is as far as I know the quickest. I don't really want to get involved in a big discussion involving other currencies. This is the bitbay thread.
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay |Decentralized Marketplace|Smart Contracts|IoT Tech|Markets Open on: November 23, 2014, 02:06:38 PM
This is my first post in this thread. I bought a lot of Bitbay in the IPO as I see it as becoming a game changer. I am heavily invested in Ultracoin also  as I believe transaction speed will play a big part in the coming years. I have seen this thread and community grow over the last few weeks and to get to over 100 pages in such a small time is a great achievement and shows just how big the community is. I think its safe to say we have all been burned with IPO's in the past but this certainly isn't a scam so please stop with all the questioning and credibility of the team.

I just wanted to say to all the people constantly going on about the Devs and the price to stop it. The Devs are the best in the business and have been very transparent compared to many other coins devs. Its still very early days in the Bitbay life. This is a long term investment and too many people are focused on the price already, which makes everyone question why you are actually involved in crypto. Are you interested in having a decentralized ecosystem were we can all trade 1 to 1 with each other in a safe and discreet way or are you just looking for a get rich quick scheme? because that's what it sounds like when I read many comments relating to the price. If you want to make a quick buck go to a casino. This is a long term investment which requires patience. Buy and hold. If you cant do that maybe forget about your coins and come back in 2 years. Adoption and development is the key, and with this team I think we have the best in crypto.

Seriously, where are the new management team? If nothing is done in the next 7 days I'm dumping my huge bag. Daily updates are a must.

Look at the volume ! We are really flying, I think we have a new base price  Cheesy

Let's keep it that way, all your homework is for this week is to give out 5 paper wallets and 1 e-mail to a crypto accepting business asking them to accept Ultracoin Smiley

http://tumblingblock.com/generate-wallet.html

i think from now and on its very difficult for utc to get through 0.00013-15 range...it looks like there some serious selling walls we have to face before we go to 0.0002 range...and if we want to get mentioned or draw attention we need to be in the top 20 of marketcap at least so some big players will embrace the ultracoin speed and we will be established as more mature coin..also we need some good news on the development side too for this to happen..But im a little bit worried and i dont know if we can get all of this done..even though that the price its not allways the most important thing at this stages in cryptos you must show some strong marketcap if you want to survive and this can be done only if we are on the top 10-20..no lower than that.regards

I agree. It's important we are seen and get seen. Make every Bitcoin owner aware of Ultracon the same was everyone knows about Litecoin and Dogecoin. What you mentioned about getting big players in is also important. Counterparty have the CEO of Overstock as a heavy investor for example! From which they have been able to get the best devs into create a replica of Ethereum, which is their game changer. At the end of the day the cryptos that are adopted by the big companies are the ones that will flourish. Paypal, Amazon, ebay, postal services, facebook, microsoft, Gas stations, walmart, godaddy etc etc etc etc.

It is still very early days with altcoins so who knows where or what will happen, but we all cant afford to stand still and constant development is a must in order to not just 'keep up', but to be at the forefront of technology attracting investors, and more importantly real world adoption.

Sorry for any confusion here

this was "satire" - a particular style of writing to make a point with intrigue

Basically a joke

All bullshit actually

satire
noun
the use of humour, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.

Please bring on the one-click miner

This "one-click" mining discussion cracks me up..........

Yeah we don't want non-technical people in THIS coin - and besides the technical dudes who have done most of the mining to date need to have the lions share of future distributions. Thats perfectly obvious to all. Its not centralisation at all - its just a select group of the elite producing supply - its not like we are printing money or anything!

Lets change the name to MOC - Miners Only Coin - so any newcomers really get the clear message to "back off".

This is the best strategy to ensure distributed ownership and mass adoption so that UTC can be a grand success.

Best we make everyone pass a very demanding set of technical tests first, to earn the right to mine - we just can't afford to have any plumbers, bakers or truck drivers owning, trading or God forbid "mining our coin".

This one-click miner is a very dangerous idea - it cuts right to the basis of everything we stand for at UTC - can we make it much harder to mine please? - I just don't want to share it with any more people at all AND we need to limit the supply as much as possible so the price goes way up - THEN sell to those idiot non-technical believers before they realise that they were suckered.

I Agree 100% with you

I got it! Bring on the one click mining and let's get spreading the word
! Hopefully this will introduce 1000's of newcomers and also attract the redit users and 'under 18's' markets. Perhaps a YouTube video could be done to explain it.

ChangeTip is all over the news today. Can Ultracoin get involved with that? It looks amazing!

Dear community,

It's time for a little update from the front.

It goes very well with UTC and we are very happy to see that we are growing every day and getting stronger.
At this moment we are already three weeks in the top 10 cryptsy in volume which gives many opportunities for acceptance.

The next step is Chinese exchanges ( we have the volume ), so as a community promot also UTC in chinese exchanges because we can't do it alone.
At this moment we are very busy with some exchanges to get us accepted Smiley

We also want to know what do you think? which exchange will give us the next boost for further acceptance of UTC?

Regards,
UTC management team
BTER.com or btc38 are the main two with huge volumes. If one of these exchanges add UTC & it takes off we could be as strong as blackcoin & stellarcoin! Forget crypto-trade they have no volume & almost killed UTC in the early stages.

On coingecko.com which ranks coins by usage, development, community involvement and public interest Ultracoin have the lowest score in the top 100 coins for development which pushes our rank down to #60. ultracoin can't afford to stand still.

I have tweeted them ;-) I didn't know about that site.
