loooooooooooooooool.   Tilt.

LOL... This guy actually believes I'm tilting...  Really?  I'm a professional gambler as well.  I don't tilt.  However, I do know a rookie when I see one.

Of course you are.  Roll Eyes

Another shill who can't debate who would rather act like a child in elementary school.  Not worth my time and effort.  "Ignored."

lol.

is this another newbie with no clue?

Is this another BITMAIN shill?

Is this the best you can do is, "lol?"

Go back and read my posts since 2014.  You'll see that I was once an ASIC Miner.  I was an avid supporter of Bitmain and defended them all the time by those who would speak ill of them.  Then after a couple of years, I woke up (Took the RED PILL).

I had 42 x BITMAIN S7's mining at my house just before I sold them February, 2016 and began GPU mining.  I have EXPERIENCE with ASIC's and have seen their plague on the community since the S1.  I too had S1, S3, S4, S5, S7, and Spondoolies SP-20's.  I'm not going to bother explaining AGAIN how ASIC's are not the best way to operate and secure a PoW Blockchain.  Especially, where corrupt centralized governments are involved.  I know this through EXPERIENCE.  Unlike many newbies in here who are played as fools by BITMAIN and its ASIC's just as I once was.  Enjoy you bliss in your ignorance while it lasts.

Thanks, doesn't matter too much to me though since I rarely used the forum for the last year.  eitherway Smiley  removing the 6 month suspension would show good will on their part though... and would make them look less guilty

it is funny shawn got so angry after that video... yet he never stated WHY HE CHANGED THE POST.

so my words stand, I will not remove the video or post any kind of retraction.  I do consider him an employee of ZEC co... unpaid directly ... fine... but still an employee and representative of the company on their company forum.  if shawn really felt that his posts were not a reflection of ZEC co... he would not have edited it.

Hi CryptoMined,

Sure, I was happy to try, Sir.

I agree, it would show good will on their part.  Something tells me they won't lift the ban and leave it for 6 months.

I consider Shawn an employee as well.  You're right, he would not have edited his posts if he was not actually a representative of ZEC co.

I'm honestly beginning to have doubts ZEC will fork off ASIC; at least in time enough to avoid doing a lot of harm to GPU miners.  It won't be long before we may be forced to mine other Privacy coins that actually forked when others did not.

I will have absolutely NOTHING to do with those coins that do not fork off ASIC.  N O T H I N G !!!  No trading or mining of that coin.  I hope a large number of GPU Miners will do the same.

I'm about to head to bed.  It's currently 10:07am and I've been awake since 3:00pm yesterday (19 hours).

Happy Mining, Sir.

A little work we're doing at the mining farm.

External ventilation behind which will be two 20,000 cfm exhaust fans.

[img]https://i.imgur.com/uf6Ifur.jpg[/img

The peaked roof in this photo is because we're fitting two filtered 48" 20,000 cfm intake fans on this side.  This is to bring cool air into the "cool aisle".

[img]https://i.imgur.com/xZQghrK.jpg[/img

View from the cold aisle.

The shelving for the rigs is in the middle wall so the cool air goes into the intake fans on this side, and through the wall to the hot aisle.

[img]https://i.imgur.com/Ge06CLm.jpg[/img

This is the hot aisle. At the end will be a 20,000 cfm exhaust fan.  At 200 cfm per miner, that's 100 miners that can fit on this side and be cooled properly.

Thanks for sharing, fittsy.  This is looking awesome man!  Certainly is...  Please keep us updated with your project.  Always like seeing what other people come up with when using their imagination.  It's truly inspiring and can generate other ideas to those who see them.

One question:  It looks like the intake and exhaust will be right next to one another with those galvanized steel exterior wall vents.  Do you have any concern with the intake sucking heat from the exhaust as it comes out?  It may still work fine.  I was only wondering...

If it does end up becoming an issue as you add more and more rigs, you may end up having to build some kind of exterior wall that's tall enough to act as a divider between the intake and exhaust vents to reduce the heat.  But again, that's only IF it ends up becoming an issue.  That was my plan if my intake and exhaust (on the same wall) were too close together.  My intake and exhaust are 20 feet apart from one another and end up working fine without building a divider wall outside to separate them better.  it may end up working fine with no issues.

Please do not think I'm being overly critical of your design and work.  I like what you have going on there and look forward to seeing more updates in the future.  I'm simply asking legitimate questions to see if you thought about it and find out if you had a plan B if it ended up becoming an issue?
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Shared Ideas of Ways to Manage Heat From Mining in a Home or Warehouse on: May 19, 2018, 01:12:32 PM
You inspired me to make my setup better. I am in the middle of building a house. My small mining room will get me by until I expand to a dedicated space for mining. I bought some flap vent mounted fans from the tpicorp company you listed earlier for your big exhaust fan. Wall studs prevent me from going with on 30 or 36” unit so had to get 4 12” units. Having some custom ducting made.

I will start taking pictures to document it.

Cool... Happy to hear that, Dagamus.  Sounds like you have a plan.  Keep us updated with photos and comments on the photos if you will please.  We all can get ideas from one another.  No?
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: May 19, 2018, 12:55:43 PM
We are on OKEx (OKEX is one of the few crypto exghanges which offers a stand alone desktop platform) and this is also one of the biggest exchanges,
but yes it would be lovely to get on Binance too.

I created an account on OKEx about 9 months ago.  There were so many issues with instability at the time that I didn't bother trading there.  I may end up trading ZEN at Cryptopia Exchange.  Especially, if they do not request for personal information.

I'm planning on taking the majority of my coins OFF EXCHANGE(s) some time during the month of August.  I plan on holding onto them REGARDLESS of what occurs with the price action on exchanges.  The reason I say this, is my concern for the current global financial and economic system.  I'm expecting a recession at a bare minimum to begin some time in September or October; just before the mid term elections in the U.S.  We may ultimately fall into a depression.  Or even worse, a total collapse of the FIAT (Financial) system.  If that occurs, it's probably not a bad idea to have your coins off exchange just before this.  Especially, if the banks shut down and FIAT fails.

Many exchanges that allow trade in actual US dollars may have issues if the banks fail because many may have FIAT in a bank they were holding for those who transferred FIAT to the exchange.  If the bank the exchange uses to hold FIAT that's transferred to the exchange actually failed, everyone who transferred FIAT to that exchange [but have not bought crypto with it yet] MAY LOSE THEIR OPPORTUNITY TO BUY CRYPTO with that FIAT they transferred to the exchange if that bank closed due to insolvency.  The exchange will basically end up sending everyone an email informing them about the bank they did business with shutting down and not having access to the FIAT everyone had transferred to the exchange.  That would be a MAJOR ordeal.  It has me concerned to say the least.

So, this is my warning to fellow ZENNITES to protect themselves for the potential of this occurring.  Just don't leave much crypto on the exchanges during the month of September and October.  We might be in for a rough ride.

If I'm out of line making this post here, PLEASE LET ME KNOW...

Hi everyone, I'm about to get back to my mining room remodel.  Simply wanted to provide everyone an update on ZENBTC - Bittrex price action with the Daily, 2-Day, 3-Day and 4-Day Time Frames (TF).  In the future, expect updates to begin with the 4 hour TF and go up to the Weekly.  This should be sufficient for now.  I need to get back to the mining room remodel.

Scroll down to the last post in comments section I made to see the most recent update.  I have not had much time to keep it updated lately.  So, I thought I would do that today and share it with the community here.

https://www.tradingview.com/chart/ZENUSD/qBe4UZf3-Zencash-Dollar-Calculated-by-TV-Bittrex/

Good Day!
This is awesome, Thanks!
Would like to see more of those kind analyzes in next period.. Wink

Thanks!  Much appreciated...

Before my mining room remodel began, I was normally sitting at my trading desk with four monitors 12 to 18 hours DAILY [7 days a week].  I used to post updates with charts on many coins daily.  So much so that some who followed me would stopped because of all the email notifications they were getting from my updates.  Smiley

I'm looking forward to getting back to trading full time once again after the mining room remodel is completed.  This may take 9 more days or less.  Then, I have to get back in touch with people at https://tradunity.com to work on a deal.  They asked if I would join their team of experts.  I may have already told you this.  Not sure...  That may take a few more days of my time to work out some kind of deal with them as a member of their "Team of Experts."

Whenever I post updates in the future for ZENBTC, I'll be sure to notify everyone here with a link to those updates.

I have no idea WHY ZEN is not on Binance exchange.  I sure wish it was.  That's where I do the majority of my trading.  That's where I prefer to do all my trading.  I believe Cryptopia Exchange is a better platform than Bittrex.  I at least like the way it looks better than Bittrex.  I haven't traded on Bittrex for a while because it was very buggy the last time I was there about 6 months ago.  I simply got tired of the bugs and stopped trading on Bittrex.  Maybe it's better now.  I have no idea.

Binance had Zencash as a 'Community coin of the month' option - twice - and it didn't get the votes needed from the community for the discounted listing. So it has had the opportunity to be listed, but for whatever reason, didn't pull enough votes from people like us.

It could still get listed through the regular channels, but obviously it would be more costly for zencash and might take longer.

Any idea how to get a vote going once again?
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Zcash? on: May 19, 2018, 10:59:24 AM
Zcash is one of the best confidential coins on the market. Strong team and technology. We can say that Zcash is a competitor of bitcoin."Electronic money."I think the price of the coin will only rise in the long run.

Sure, it will rise.  However, it's slowly losing "trust" from those of us (GPU miners) who mined it for them to get them going.  Why losing "trust?"  Because they said, "ASIC-Resistance."  Zooko, is not doing a very good job in regards to supporting the community of miners who supported him.  Many others, such as ZEN and BTG, came out rather quickly telling BITMAIN they will FORK to maintain ASIC resistance.  They may do it with PROG Proof of Work.  Which see:  "EIP1057 VOTE True ASIC Resistant ProgPOW for Ethereum & ZCash New Proof of Work" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6B-ZCyP6K8&t=1s. AND "ZCASH FORK IN TO 2 CHAINS? BITMAIN ANTMINER Z9 MINI ASIC! ZEC Co. CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT?" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPdnG03eI58

The "majority" of the "community" behind ZEC are the GPU miners.  We (GPU Miners) are the majority holders/users of ZEC.  IF they push us out in favor of one big company (BITMAIN), they will lose a lot of their "community" and many will move on to other privacy coins that will fork or have already forked off from ASICs, such as ZEN, BTG and XMR.  It will ultimately end up being only a speculation coin with little usage in main stream.  The only users will be speculators and BIG corporate miners like BITMAIN.  I want no part of that.  PERIOD.

Why should I [As a GPU Miner] continue to support a coin who's developers decide to cozy up to one big corporation (BITMAIN) and basically tell us (GPU Miners), "We appreciate the kick-off you helped us with.  I know we said, ASIC Resistance but you can screw off now...  We're going ASIC."  Cause that's the way Zooko is acting at the moment.

What really pisses me off is the way "Cryptomined" (The one who made those 2 videos I provided links to) was BANNED FOR 6 MONTHS from their official forum because of what he said in his video, "ZCASH FORK IN TO 2 CHAINS? BITMAIN ANTMINER Z9 MINI ASIC! ZEC Co. CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT?" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPdnG03eI58.  He was not disrespectful.  Simply voiced his opinion without cursing anyone, etc...  That was flat out WRONG and they have no respect for FREEDOM OF SPEECH.  Not even with what is said OFF THE FORUM.  What FREEDOM LOVING PERSON would want ANYTHING to do with people like that?

What's going to occur [If ZCashCo. continues down this path] is push away their community [Who joined them and supported them] towards other privacy coins like ZEN, BTG and XMR.  "Community" is what helps get a coin in mainstream adoption in retail stores, etc...  I'm not saying ZEC will never go mainstream.  I'm simply saying it will take LONGER for them to go mainstream if they push away a large portion of the "community" who got them off their feet and kept their network running secure.  Yes, Gemini exchange accepting ZEC soon will help give them a boost in the "speculation" world.  However, there is no "community" for a coin in the Trading world.  They will cause GPU miners to go our separate ways and NEVER do business with ZEC again.  PERIOD

What's the point of declaring "ASIC Resistance" if you're not even going to put forth the effort to RESIST?  Not even TRY to resist?  GPU miners made investments based off that white paper which said, "ASIC Resistant" and now Zooko acts like he does not even want to RESIST.    His current actions are PATHETIC...

Hey thanks for the feedback! I did think about doing the intake on the floor but couldn't get my head around the filtering issues if I put it there. I liked the shade idea a lot though, and I have now built a "trellis" on the exterior of the intake wall two feet away. I planted some fast growing vines (honeysuckle) which will in theory grow very fast and shade the entire sunny wall after a few months. Not sure about this but I liked the "living wall" concept.

Yeah, I can see what you mean in regards to trying to filter the floor.  That would certainly involve using your imagination with some custom work.

Sure, those honeysuckles should do the trick to cool down the wall that faces the sun majority of the day.  Good idea.  Smiley

I would love to have all of mine in a shed in the back yard as well.  Maybe some day.  I was trying to keep cost down by building it in the basement in my house.  If I had a shed in the back yard, it would require a decent size shed for all my rigs and require me to cut down several trees.  I have 26 trees in the back yard I want to cut down some day.

If I built a shed, I would want enough for 800 amps of hardware because I would eventually wish I had more space I'm sure.  That would be about a 16' x 32' two story shed.  I would want the 2nd story for storage.  Here's an idea of what I mean by a 16'x32' shed:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Q-KTueiQ98&t=14s

Another fan frame constructed and put in place with 12 x 20 inch box fans running in it.  I still need to do a couple of miner things in regards to actually physically attaching it with L-Brackets.  Other than that and better wire management for the fans, it's time to make another one...

Nice work! I would love to have more rigs and I'm adding them slowly. I put my mining in a shed outside after the heat was so bad in my house. I did a write up of the project here if anyone is interested:
http://canefiremt.simplesite.com/
Scroll down to the shed write up, it's after the Octominer build.

Yes, I "love" all the time and effort you put into doing this right!  Great job, Bro!  I'm impressed...  Smiley

If you ever get to a point where you add even more rigs [Enough to make you re-think your air exchange] and forced to increase air flow, you might consider cutting up about a 2 feet wide strip of plywood from the floor going the full length of the shed and attach a steel grate in place of the plywood you just removed.  Of course the steel grate would rest on top of your floor joists.  Which would provide plenty of support as you walk and/or stand on the steel grate.

The advantages of the steel grate replacing some plywood on the floor is to allow fans inside the shed to pull cool fresh air during the summer UNDERNEATH the shed [Where it's cooler].  Only a thought if you find you need to increase air flow after adding even more rigs.

Please keep us updated with any changes, additions, new hardware, etc... in the future.

Thanks again for sharing, Canefire!

Hi Canefire,

Thanks for dropping by and sharing!  Much appreciated.  I'm about to get some shuteye.  I did take a quick look at it.  However, it looks like it's worth reading instead of only looking at photos.  I'm going to read it tomorrow and make comments here either tomorrow or the next day.

Cheers and Happy Mining!

I drew this last summer when I was forced to cut off several rigs during the day in the summertime and back on in the evening.  I still have a ways to go yet.  However, one major thing I'm doing different.  On the far left you see a door for entrance into the mining closet.  That door will be moved closer to the French doors to allow a 48" wide rack to be placed there.  Also, the intake and exhaust fans in the windows will be doubled up.  Meaning, I will have two 30" intake fans and two 30" exhaust fans.  Maybe not till next summer.  Mainly for redundancy in case a fan goes down for whatever reason.  This way there is still another one going till the one that is down can be repaired or replaced.

I have shared this link on our mining channel, this is interesting topic for every miner.

Cool...  I'm curious...  Can you [Or anyone else] provide a link to your mining channel when you have an opportunity?

I'm sure with your qualifications it wont be hard for you to find an influential and relevant position in our community.
Good luck with mining room works!
See you on Discord channel.

Well, not sure I could be of much help other than learning more about ZEN and spreading the word.  Yes, I have a technical background but most of my expertise has to do with hardware. I've taught technicians how to use their meters to identify and locate troubles on electronic circuits since July 27, 1997.  I've been involved with electronics specific to the telecommunications industry since 1984 when I was in the Marine Corp.  I've also done a LOT of work for CenturyLink, Bell South (Now AT&T), AllTel Communications and several smaller telephone co-ops.  I have no knowledge and/or experience with code.  I'm interested in learning but not sure if that's the route I want to take.

I'm an excellent public speaker and have spoken to thousands at a time on stages.  Most of my speaking/teaching has been with 12 to 24 people in a classroom at a time.  I'm rather charismatic when I speak.  However, it's impossible to be "genuinely" charismatic when speaking about a subject(s) IF one has not had plenty of "experience" with the knowledge they're sharing with others.  I can tell you have had experience in several fields based off what I've heard in that video interview you shared recently with a gentleman who sounded like he is Asian.

I'm also an artist [As a hobby] WHEN I actually have the time.  I have not had the time lately to complete another drawing I'm doing of Joan Osborne.  Which see:  https://i.imgur.com/at4PNtV.jpg. The main reason I chose to draw her was to practice drawing and painting hair.  It will look just like her when I'm finished.  I can also paint anything with oil, acrylic and water color.  I normally draw what I'm going to paint first.

I do not believe I'm "qualified" to do anything of "relevance" with the community because of my lack of technical knowledge about ZEN.  Sure, I would love to learn but that will take time.  There's so much to learn in many different areas of crypto.

I'll be sure to drop by discord to check out your channel when I take a break some time tomorrow while working in my mining room.

Thanks for your time and encouragement.

Kind regards,

David
