511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] sgminer v5 - optimized X11/X13/NeoScrypt/etc. kernel switching miner on: December 09, 2014, 10:09:50 AM

512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] sgminer v5 - optimized X11/X13/NeoScrypt/etc. kernel switching miner on: December 08, 2014, 07:35:46 PM
7970 just 38khs on Neoscrypt  Tongue first time, whats the setting for NEO and which is the best miner?

For 7970, look up the 280x settings.
Tried that but no luck. i am using wolf miner "wolf-neo-sgminer5-hawaii-11212014"

Don't use that one - use Nicehash's build. Hawaii chips are 290/290X.
sgminer uses ckolivas.cl instead of neo when i use that version.
bat file is something like this and neoscrypt.cl is in the same folder.
Code:
sgminer --algorithm neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.ftc.theblocksfactory.com:3333 -u x.1 -p x

You need the develop version of SG 5.
Thanks. Now i am getting 100khs but still no way near to 200khs. 1100gpu engine and 1500mem clock.

Try intensity 13, gpu threads 2, worker size 64, thread-concurrency 8192
513  Economy / Speculation / Re: So whats the verdict about the auction ? on: December 08, 2014, 03:18:26 PM
the billionaire that wanted to double down could only get 2.000 out of 50.000 coins? lmao...

Well it makes sense for him to bid considerably lower this time since last time he outbid everyone and could have gotten the coins cheaper probably. Now he has more information to decide on his bids for the next auction, and he's not likely to share that information. I would guess he placed his bids just below market around $350, to bid competitively and still have a chance at getting some coins which he succeeded at. But it could also be way higher or lower, there's not much to base it on only Draper knows.

i agree, that would actually make alot of sense if you are thinking about the next batch of coins that could be auctioned.
but then i'm not sure what to think about him saying to buy on the market now, because he needs more btc for boost vc.

I think the price he bid was below market price.
514  Economy / Speculation / Re: Block Chain Height 333333 ---> price 666$ soon on: December 08, 2014, 03:15:52 PM

515  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: December 08, 2014, 03:11:33 PM

Do not think so.
516  Economy / Economics / Re: selling my mined btc for euro instead of usd on: December 08, 2014, 03:10:11 PM
It will depend where you live - if in USA, then you will use USD of course, if in Europe - then EUR can be sometimes handy. If in other world parts or you are goind spend in the Net - then once again USD. Mostly all people in the Net are using USD, except may be Europe - when they are also using EUR.

There is no fundamental difference between EUR and USD. Both are fiat, easily manipulated.
517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Elevating 295X2 on: December 08, 2014, 03:05:36 PM

518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin defeating fiat is very unlikely on: December 08, 2014, 02:50:15 PM
Regulation of BTC exchanges is very important for the success of BTC.
519  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you wish you could buy with btc ? on: December 08, 2014, 02:47:20 PM
I've said it a million times. Adoption won't boom until you get people paid in bitcoin. Until then, all you'll see is merchants rarely accept bitcoin and instantly transfer it to fiat.

That is a chicken egg question.
520  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2014 is NOT the year of bitcoin, sorry on: December 08, 2014, 02:43:32 PM
