501  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have $50 paypal i need bitcoins on: March 01, 2017, 06:59:14 PM
Anyone paying anything over 15% is  someone who is in need of bitcoin and have no way to verify themselves on exchanges.
502  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price on: March 01, 2017, 06:55:02 PM
Better to buy now or forever hold your piece.
The price has gone crazy and those who haven't bought any are going to their la la land (as in going coo coo crazy to the looney bin) if they don't have any in their wallets when the price keeps going up and up! Roll Eyes
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Augur - a decentralized prediction market platform on: March 01, 2017, 06:00:01 PM
I thought this was a wallet to be able to gain interest on the amount of bitcoin that you hold there?
504  Economy / Speculation / Re: ATH on all major exchanges!! on: March 01, 2017, 05:49:20 PM
It is very promising for bitcoin and all the ones who believed in it so far.
Just very disappointing for the ones who don't have any to one's name.  Roll Eyes

506  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: *sigh* scammers really dont learn... 27/28 Bitcoins... on: March 01, 2017, 03:13:35 PM
But you didn't fall for the bait and actually send anything did you?  Embarrassed

That would of been the blunder of the year so far with only 60 days in but still. Undecided

Ognasty I would of been fooled to cause the name looks very similar to the true escrows name that everybody knows and is a Donator account.
Even invisible character can be used in the creation of forum names from what I seen in the past.

i am very much aware of the scams here. been here for a while to know that. so no i did not fall for that. my doubt started ever since he sais 989 dash. it was a number that did not add up. but i took the bait and played along. if it was a good one. i would have loved it. but it was too good to be true when he said ok for 27 btc when he was asking for 28. and dash increased by 3% since last night.

and to think i would just send 27btc like that, this guy must really take me for a fool.. of course i would check. and the name already was a bit weird. 0 and O has different shape.

there is a ' in his name but the oggy conversation had no '

it was a stupid try. but i believe someone else could really have fallen into this if he didnt check well.

but anyways i put up this summary so that no one else be fooled.
It did help.
Because I don't deal with Ognasty at all but remember his name from other threads on here I did remember there was something in the name that differieniated it from others with that " ' " but i couldn't remember what it was cause, as I mentioned before, I haven't dealt with him at all. But this is his real profile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=18321
So anyone who hasn't would of been fooled by that name. And if you are quick to just glance over the name then you wouldn't notice the "0" and the "O" difference either because they look so very similar and hacker and scammers rely on this of the victim to just be in a state of amazement at the deal "being too good to be true" to just glance over this and not to notice it either.
But yes, usually when the offer is to good to be true, it most certainly always is. Undecided

508  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anybody got password reset email from yobit and pocketdice? on: February 28, 2017, 11:50:40 PM
Also, seriously guys, even if you get an email, DO NOT CLICK A LINK IN IT unless you requested it. Emails can be forged. ALWAYS go to the actual site to initiate changes/log in. They will possibly send an email after that (not sure in this case), and then you'll know it came from them.
I was just thinking the exact samething when this happened.
There will be a lot of emails being sent out by hackers who want you to click the link to change your password while they are phishing emails and send them to a keylogger and then they have your password.
Be very warying of what you are receiving in any email you receive tell you to change your password after clicking "their link". Embarrassed
509  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Sportsbet.io Scam Accusation on: February 28, 2017, 11:47:07 PM
You have all forgot about my claim 2 months ago when they did not want to pay out my 1btc winnings?
I was forced to gamble it away on their site because even after complying with sending them the requested kyc and aml information they still did not allow me to withdraw my winnings.
You were all warned way before you even put any btc into this scamming sportsbook.
They are after all part of the .IO domain bitcoin casino websites.
All of them are a syndicate of the scam sites all over the net. Angry

Is the trading side of the Moon waiting for March 11th (and by the way the Full Moon is on March 12th) to harvest the fruits of years of sowing?
We'll have to wait and see. I am waiting for my seeds to grow to the Moon and for the Moon  Wink

like LLec said : very poetically said Smiley
don't forget that 2018 as i read on news today will be the year for outer space travel for people (who have the money to buy the tickets of course)!!
We in bitcoin community can be also the early adopters Smiley Smiley Smiley to the Moon and for the Moon!!
Well gee thanks. Smiley lol!
And on a similar note, since we are so bored right now with the price staying stale and those growing old and turning into skeletons before our eyes waiting for the price to break and stay above $1200.
I though Richard Branson already said we will be able to take his Virgin space travelling ship to the moon this year! haha!
Might have been several years ago but didn't he say it would be this year!?
Or was it all just a gimmick? Where is buzz lightyear when you need him. lol! To infinity the moon and beyond!

I would guess to think that is exactly what is on everyone's minds right now who give a tippet about what is happening to the next chapter in the story bitcoin.
512  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 28, 2017, 06:47:33 PM
Like the exchange depictions! But why the "vintage" fotos of Kraken and Bittrex? The others are pretty self-explaining - although I would place OKcoin in a cul-de-sac (dead end) road Wink

We're seeing now what could be the beginning of the third attack to the $1220 levels, although I think today won't happen nothing of importance because volume is very low. That could be related to Carnival in the Bitcoin Nations 2 & 3 (Germany & France, according to https://bitnodes.21.co). Maybe some Bitcoiners from these countries are taking a little break buying some drinks with their profits from this rally ...
I got the notion he was referring to how slow they are but then thought he was meaning the bank transfer you got to do which could take days instead of instantly being available to send. Slow transfers will have others go to their competitors.
It is the millennial generation of instantly being able to access anything and everything all the time that's taken the concept of waiting as a paradigm shift in a reality they just simply can not comprehend.
513  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 28, 2017, 03:22:50 PM
Wouldn't it just take more than a color of the rainbow to do that?

Don't forget the secret signalling to their masonic friends out there. That's to save a few goats and orphans being slaughtered in bizarre predictive ceremonies. And $1180 or so is 'suffering'?

Golly.
Suffering from the up and downs and keeping everybody on the edge of going "Ahhhh!" at $1196 but then a minute later going "Awwwwhh!" when it drops to $1180.
I don't know about you all but being on a see saw ride like that makes me very upset when it can't make up it's mind if it wants to stay or go over $1200 and stay there.
Sort of like an old gf that doesn't know if she likes you so see leaves but comes back after seeing you living the good life with someone else who is good and you are better off without them.Cheesy
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange Your TBC (thebillioncoin) with BitCoin Instant on: February 28, 2017, 02:01:25 PM
Never heard of thebillioncoin. It's a new alt so maybe an ANN thread link would help or put something in you signature to show that you believe in and back this new alt coin.
Just a suggestion.
515  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 28, 2017, 01:58:44 PM
Now, with these last news, eth price and btc price will up, more and more!

Just a little time to prices explode!

what news?

what the hell... did i miss something?

Probably the winklevii changes a color on their homepage or something like that ;-)

This is the hint they are trying to make with the approval of their ETF?
Wouldn't it just take more than a color of the rainbow to do that?
It just keeps everybody on their edge of their seats while the price is suffering now.
It is making it crazy to not know what to do with it's self. Lips sealed
516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is CHINA CONTROLLING Bitcoin? on: February 28, 2017, 12:34:39 AM
No..not anymore.
I will say that Japan will be the rightful contender to be and more than likely be the new china when it comes to who is controlling bitcoin.
Isn't it fitting really? With a name like Satoshi Nakamoto being the creator of the most exciting cryptocurrency ever created? Wink
517  Economy / Speculation / Re: Say bye to Triple Digits on: February 27, 2017, 11:02:37 PM
After a long bull running it always happens a correction of price after this run. It is history proven and bitcoin is no different to this trend. The price is near 1200 dollars right now but I think the bull running will have a correction soon and price will be again in the three digits area.
I agree. The time is near for the correction.
What is all this talk about a needed correction is going to happen soon?

Something that is amist we the bitcoin community do not know about. We are being kept in the dark about something big that is going too or not going to happen?

I personall do not believe in all this talk about the ETF not being approved. Embarrassed
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [RaiBlocks] RaiBlocks trading thread on: February 27, 2017, 08:28:10 PM
Buying mrai tiny ammounts(200-300 mrai) with doge, and buying around 30-40k of mrai at once dont pm if the price is above 500 satoshis/1mrai thanks.
sell 3100 mrai
How much per mrai you asking for?

BTW when is this going to be on an exchange?
Thought I saw last week that it got approval for taking it on Meratox exchange. But how long does it take to actually get listed there?
This is a very slow process to buy them.
Sort of like the wheel and barrel method when we should be using flying delorean dmc-12 at this day and age of trading.
Sell/buy should be instant not wasting time advertising and msging back and forth without an escrow in tow also taking a risk of getting had by an untrustworthy individual here. Embarrassed
519  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000+ is perfectly possible in a post-ETF era on: February 27, 2017, 01:17:51 AM
That would be a remarkable milestone to surpass and if does happen then all those bag holders will be cashing out their bitcoins for security funds in no time at all. Wink
