I think you missed some main reason why ico today are becoming dead.
1. Exit scams After raising millions of dollars they will eventually turning to scam. Or they saying that funds are hack etc.
2. Dead project coin becoming dead and don't have demand in market
Those two are both main factors why ICOs are now dead. Investors are now aware on how risky is the ICOs investment because of the scam projects where most of the developers are only focusing to gain profit and after that there is no improvement that will happen in to the project. The risks in ICOs are not worth it after all so we should learn from the mistakes of others in order for us to not make investment in ICOs anymore. Investors certainly don't want to take big risks for the investments they make. When they see a lot of new projects that end in failure and many projects that just want to make a profit and go to bring the money that has been obtained which then makes investors begin to be reluctant to invest in ICO projects and slowly new projects fail because of not achieving softcap and me think now many investors prefer to invest in the top coins. |

I think both quality and price are needed so we can make a profit by looking for opportunities from quality coins. Better to sell while you can rather then selling it when it dropping.. I would sell all my altcoins and buying some top 10 coins on coinmarketcap. I would not dare to hodl any new tokens cause it always failed and dying faster then the top 10 coins on coinmarketcap. For the new coins themselves, I agree with you that many new coins will eventually become worthless and only become junk in the wallet. And I personally will also sell tokens that I get when the tokens have a small value compared to deciding to keep holding it and in the end it actually has no value in exchange. |

Everyone should only invest in top altcoins if you plan on holding for long term, most new altcoins are good for short term holding, once they surge in value just sell off and move the money into another old altcoin unless the new altcoin delivers something entirely very new and promising, too many repetitive projects nowadays
