501  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Dice House Bank Investment Comparison Table: Now with 25% Scam Rate! on: February 28, 2015, 10:40:18 AM
there is a continuum of less suspicious, such as Pocket Rockets Casino to more suspicious, such as Coinwin and I reflect that with a trust rating

There surely is a continuum, but I've no idea how you're meant to figure out where any particular site lies on it. I've put my trust in two different dice sites and been shown to be wrong in both cases. They both looked very professional and well thought out to me, but turned out to be scams. Things are further complicated by the fact that as well as the honest <---> scammer continuum you also have the competent <---> incompetent continuum operating orthogonally to it. I think I made the mistake of thinking honesty was correlated with competence, and so ended up trusting the wrong sites.

tldr: bad guys can be smart

I see what you did there. But I'll just let you know that I started Pocket Rockets Casino before your site opened, continued to operate while you were closed and still will continue to operate into the far future. In almost 2 years I have never lost a single satoshi of a player or investors money due to incompetence. But nice to see you still always trying to put the site down.
502  Economy / Gambling / Re: PocketRocketsCasino.eu - 175BTC max payout! NEW ROULETTE + DICE + AUTO ROLL on: February 27, 2015, 09:04:28 PM
Coming up for the 2000th roulette bet already.

So far the response has been pretty positive with people saying it looks good.

Always open to ideas/suggestions on what you want next on the site.

I kinda talked about this before, a more detailed idea of what I always have thought would be great for a site is a progressive dice slot.

Something with different options, like a 20% payout, 40% payout and 60% payout. The 60% machine as an example would pay out 60% of the time, lose 40%, but the payouts at the bottom would be a fraction of what they bet and it would scale from there to the max payout. If they bet 1BTC their "win" at the lowest tier their win could be 0.1BTC (loss of 0.9BTC) as an example. Vegas slot machines do this all the time.

Each of the machines would offer a struck by lightning chance at winning the house max bet. Also each bet would have some small percent of their wager be used to fund an ongoing progressive jackpot that would be tied to the higher wins.

Either this or some idea like this I think is fun because winning a huge amount of money is now conceivable each bet for people with wins along the way. Whereas trying to win the max bet now is just not remotely possible for anyone without putting up huge amounts of money or be willing to lose tens of thousands of smaller bets in a row.

I do like the idea of progressive jackpots, for all games.
I considered a dice one before but didn't get round to finalising the details yet. I will keep your example in mind.
I was planning on adding jackpots after I have finished blackjack, slots and video poker. The aim is to get these 3 on by end of this month.

Thanks

Small update to the site. On top right you now see your username or id and a log off/in button.
504  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 is LIVE on: February 27, 2015, 09:47:32 AM
i bet remaining 2/3 players were android(me) + *nix(including mac),big loss.I think dev team has many things to do at moment, but in future(very near imo)they should focus on a flash-client for a quick fix,and definitely must rework linux, mac, android clients.Else, player base will remain at 1/3.
A Mac user, who invested some money in..let's say video editing software, will drop mac to play Swc poker? Think not.Same goes with android users, who are not always in front of PC.Will i take laptop at work?Never.Might even lose job.
Doesn't matter what new fancy games Swc has, if they are not accessible to all.

Most of the other 2/3 rds were most likely a mix of people who couldn't recover account (there were issues with emails), people who always had multiple accounts logged in the old site, which there were many, some who wouldn't have known about the new launch and probably even a small few who might not want to return on the new site with new owners.

There will be people on android that couldn't play. Most people with Android phone have a PC though.

I'm not saying they shouldn't have clients on other systems, far from it. Just saying that most users are Windows.
There's zero reason for the devs to waste time and money on a linux client. A web based client would do for the people playing on Linux and Mac.
Android client would be a good investment after web client.

Okay.  I just answered for myself my earlier question about whether there will be a Mac native client.  There isn't, of course, but it looks like the client currently works just fine using CrossOver on a Mac.

It doesn't work for me using WINE on Linux. Sad

Seems strange to release a Windows-only client. People don't really use Bitcoin on Windows do they?

I assume you may be just joking? (I never know with you)
But if not hat is incredibly naive and worrying coming from you. I know you're a Linux nerd but surely you understand that for mass Bitcoin adoption (that's what you want right?) then most services will be aimed primarily at Windows and iPhone users.

Most Bitcoin users today use Windows. A lot of the VC money coming in to Bitcoin right now is for apps and services that mostly target Windows users.

SWC had 1/3 of it's normal users online last night in a Windows only client. Could have been more but there's some account recovery issues.

Now that's not to say I wouldn't prefer if they had a web based client but the old Mavens web client was probably the worse poker experience I've ever had that this new Grid based PC client is far better to use at this time.

so it will be different investments on all the games? i think it is better if the investment is shared among all the games in the house

It originally was. The biggest complaint at that time was to separate them as people only wanted to invest in dice.
So I need to work out some options.
This was mostly because of the sportsbook afaik. But options sounds good.

Yeah there was some against that.

By the way, your site seems to be not collecting stats at the moment.

You mention putting the investment back up for casino games?  I thought that all investments were investing in the house for dice and casino games?

That's how it was last summer when Blackjack was still on. It's been dice only for a while now.
I only added roulette today.

I'll see how the response is and try add Blackjack also before adding an investment feature back on for casino games.

I can't find the info in the section. Only given for dice and roulette.

It is yeah. I'll update the help page asap.
Basically imagine the numbers where 1,2,3,4,5,6.
You are shown a SHA512 hash made up of 123:secret:456

NEW ROULETTE GAME

For the first few days max bet will be a little smaller compared to the dice game.
After that I'll the invest in casino games option back in and so the max bets should go up.

Going to now work on getting blackjack on asap and then some jackpot promos.

Good luck

Two of the bigest feature requests so far are a roulette bot and roulette keyboard shortcuts. I'll have both added asap.
