?

Seeing you first comment,I don't really see the point of having you here at all. This is just a one way ticket to the ban.
5042  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 07, 2018, 12:39:09 PM
было бы хорошо если можно было ставить "не нравится" чтобы избежать лишнего спама!!!

Here is an example of what we are trying to stop. I have already reported this one and 4 like him today.
Those are easy to report but I think Theymos has to send PM to all the users with the new rules in order to reduce the spam from all the unaware coming with the same question about merit. I suggested this earlier.
5043  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many topic should I post at a time for getting merit ? on: February 07, 2018, 10:42:25 AM
I'm newbie and want to learn more from this forum.I want to know that How many topic I should post per day for getting ?which is the best topic for getting more merit ?

Please take your time to read this thread from the admins: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0

If you want you can check the one I have crate for about the Activity and Merit system. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2534500.0

IF YOU TRY TO ABUSE THE MERIT SYSTEM YOU WILL BE BANNED!

And here you can actually see how it looks like, the lazy way:

Or people are purposefully posting in order to gain merit. If you are more likely to gain merit from creating a thread, why not create a similar thread everyday. The merit system seems broken...

I don't see it as a broken system but the adoption will be too long as not many are aware of it. Most of the affected will be those who are here only for the bounties and have never read anything in the Meta section. Maybe they haven't even notice yet the merit points until it comes the time to rank-up.
Many "account farmers" are still spamming only for activity and many will give up at the end but if they are aware of the system on an earlier stage then we can spare some "shitposting".
5045  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 06, 2018, 10:19:14 PM
Aren't you people getting tired of all those new Merit threads already? I feel like a spammer now, answering the same questions all the time, trying not to repeat myself. Here, in Beginners and Help even in the Bounty section, it's crazy. I thought this madness will eventually stop.
Please theymos, just send a PM to all the users with the information about the new merit system so people can stop posting every day 10000 topics with the same questions generating posts.
Lets just finish with it once and for all.

Thats a nice idea!

Or add a link to this thread, when people click the "Merit" link in their profiles.

This is also a solution, but something has to be done to stop this madness. Hope that the admin and the people here agree with me about this. I think that still a lot of people are not aware of the change and will continue posting same questions about merit for a very long time.
5046  Other / Meta / What are the rules/restrictions in reporting posts and where to find them? on: February 06, 2018, 06:44:14 PM
I just got this message while reporting some spam, but since there were 3-4 posts in the same thread I just done everything quickly but got this message >

Quote
The last posting from your IP was less than 26 seconds ago. Please try again later. The thing you were trying to post was saved as a draft. This limit decreases substantially as your account becomes more established.

Any sources to read about this restrictions?  I've been trough the "list of not official rules" but I cannot recall bumping in these restrictions.

Additional question, what is the procedure after the post is reported? Does it goes to the Mods for review or so?

5048  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Miner on Windows Phone on: February 06, 2018, 05:26:45 PM
Sorry guys to disappoint you but I'm still mining with my Lumia 1020. Yeah I know it's sounds crazy but I'm doing this since November last year. It is just for fun, not real profit. In the begging was like around 8000 satoshi every week, then started to make 5000 every 2 weeks now its more like 5000 in 3-4 weeks. Till now I have mined approx 80 000 Satoshi. The phone is at work so no bills for electricity.
Here is the proof :
5049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This never happened because this is new technology, really? on: February 06, 2018, 12:21:58 PM
It's not the fist time, and not the last for sure.Bitcoin is strictly following the rules.

5050  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 06, 2018, 09:17:00 AM
So technically, i have to get 100 merits from others before i rank up to Full member? Am I correct?

Yes, you are correct. Read the OP of this thread and you will find what you have to do.
5051  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 06, 2018, 08:00:43 AM
You don't understand.
People with rank "Full Member" and higher don't want to give merits for the people which rank is Member and lower. They are not interested in it. It's a competition! Higher rank means higher rewards and others advantages.

This is not quite like that. I have already got 20 points for like 10 days, and I'm pretty sure there are many like me. I see Jr.Members with more Merit than me, and when you read the merited comments, it make sense.
You don't really need to spam around to generate useless posts or begging/"butlicking" the "big ones". There are many services where you check what people think of your"quality posts" and compare your type of thinking with the community. Not everyone know what quality post means.
Many people don't realize but this Merit system is actually improving a lot of things in your personalty >
-Your way of thinking and analyze things.
-Improving you language especially for NNESs
-Improving communication skills by contributing to the community.
etc.

5052  Other / Meta / Re: Merit broke my life on: February 05, 2018, 03:11:23 PM
Not sure if it was an innocent mistake on soniclord's part or not, but reading what has happened post said mistake i can see he's not done himself too many favors. Still giving nullius +50 merit for a post lambasting him was pretty hilarious Cheesy

Yes, and if you check this one too /use translate if needed/ > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818398.msg28966041#msg28966041

Giving 10 to beggars. You can see many people abusing the system, but there are also people reporting them.

Here is some similar idea > http://www.bitnotes.org/

I think it has something to do with timing. For every hour you get about 4 posts. But if someone who knew could tell me I would give them merit if i had it.

The two week cycles are fixed date periods not determined by you registration day, if you manage to register and post in the last day of the cycle and post the next day then you can accumulate 28 points Activity in just 2 days.
5055  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 05, 2018, 02:05:18 PM
I guess no one can tell me how much activity points I need to have to rank up.
I don't think that anyone can tell this, since is on a random basis.

My question is: The necessary activity points to rank up (between 775 and 1030) are already decided when an account on this forum is created, or it's changing every day, every activity period or for whatever reason?
This will be interesting also for me, but I don't think this will matter.

I'm just curious because it matters if I have to gather the remaining 464 merits in 4 weeks time (more than 100 merits per week) or just later on. Is it possible to check somewhere if I have reached the necessary activity points to rank up and I'm only waiting for the merits?

I doubt that such tool will be available to can check if you are already reached the necessary activity points. If you need 4 weeks to enter to the activity level of legendary and you want to be sure that you gonna rank-up then it's gonna be almost a merit farming. Take it slow, collect you points as you contribute to the community, at the end when you reach your 1000 Merit you will find out if you have reached the necessary activity points or not. I know it can be tempting to wait so long for it and now things have changed but hey, its like the HODL process the longer you wait the better are the results.
5056  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where do you find out about new airdrops / bounty programs? on: February 05, 2018, 01:43:12 PM
Let me give you a tip here.
When you go to the bounty section of the forum, simply click the "notify" link. This is how you gonna get the new bounties in your  email.
I'm currently working on a list with all the bounties but it will take some time for me to do it. You can follow here>

5057  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: mining with 30 to 50 free laptops on: February 05, 2018, 11:57:44 AM
The company i work for is basically throwing away about 30 to 50 laptops.  theyre nothing fancy maybe a few i3s lower end ones.   they offered to give them to me for free.  CAn i put them to work on mining until they burn out and then trash them?  or its not even worth it at that point too?  i know laptop mining is not worth it but if i had that many for free, is it still not worth it?

thanks
Noob

I don't think so. Wasting of time and energy for things like this is like trying to make money out of faucets.
Sell the laptops, even cheep and with the money get yourself a proper mining equipment. Even one good graphic card will do  better than 10-15 slow laptops, calculating also the power costs.
This is what I would do in this kind of situation.
5058  Other / Meta / Re: Exclusive section for Bitcoin holders? on: February 05, 2018, 10:00:58 AM
The whole idea here is to be anonymous. You're anonymous so long as you don't connect your BTC address to a known identity like the profile here in the forum/twitter/facebook/email etc. So, making list for the hackers/scammers/spammer to be after you?
Its better to make section without signatures with access to people with member or higher level with no need to proof of anything.
5059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 210 000 Bitcons in the hands of the Bulgarian gov can really affect the market. on: February 04, 2018, 08:03:57 PM
After the big news from the last year /see the first link below/ the Bulgarian government holds in his hands more than 210 000 Bitcoin.
If they decide to cash out which is inevitable the market will be devastated. It is just a matter of time this to happen.
