Canada win by 30 points - probably nobody didn't saw this coming. I made mistake by understimating Canada, seems that this year they really have team which can achieve something and this win is serious statement.
Same here, not in my wildest dreams that Canada would blew them out that way, though i bet for Canada, i thought it was a risky bet since France is still loaded with NBA caliber talent but luckily for me they faltered and my bet won. Philippines had great chance to win against really solid team, but on last minutes they didn't had their leader Jordan Clarkson and they didn't found other player who can lead them in decisive moments.
Yeah, Philippines performed well and though Gilas lost, nothing to be ashamed as they left everything they got in the court last night and let us if they can bring the same intensity against Angola tomorrow.  |

Tapales camp should stay with their grounds and continue to chase for that share that they think they deserve
if the fight takes place.
He's also a champ and the belts that he's holding are what Inoue's seeking, so better to push for what he wants
before signing the deal.
One thing's for sure, this fight is going to be Tapales' biggest purse and i think they will ask for that amount no matter what or this fight will not happen thus shuttering INoue's dream of becoming a 2 division unified champion. BTW, this early, Tapales is already in the US preparing and training for this fight and probably this fight would take place in December as what i have read so there is enough time for them to train. |

Talo man ang Gilas pero panalo pa rin ang karamihan sa atin dito sa betting dahil +10 mahigit yong spread at ma-cover yon ng Gilas pero parang kulang ang saya dahil nga talo. Daming turn-over sa dying minutes at kung hindi lang na fouled-out si Clarkson ay malamang manalo pa tayo dahil hindi takot pumukol sa tres yon at sanay sa pressure.

To be safe, betting on the handicap might be the right choice here. +10.5 seems reasonable, considering it's their first game and they have the energy and the crowd's support. The opponents are quite strong, so maybe we can compensate with our 3-point shooting, as it's difficult to penetrate the interior, especially with Town there. I guess no big man has a favorable matchup against Town; he's capable of dominating everyone.
It's +12.5 @1.78 for me and like you have said, the crowd would be a factor in this game. For me, we have a big chance of winning if Towns gives up the ball to his teammates and let them shoot in the corner as that would be the spot where his teammates are going to be open and hope our guards will be quick enough to recover to bother the shot, easily said than done but hope they can execute. I think Kai could somehow bother Towns though not all the time but life in the middle would not be so easy for him if Kai and Edu were there defending him. |

And just as I thought one of the competitive games will be the Connecticut Sun against the New York Liberty.
The Sun started pretty well and even tried to go far in the 2nd quarter against the Liberty with a 14-point lead. 3rd quarter is where the Liberty is starting to heat things up but it's not yet enough to get close to the lead that was protected by the Sun.
4the quarter is where the fun began. DeWanna Bonner and Alyssa Thomas are not letting the Liberty get close by a single digit but Sabrina Ionescu kept on attacking and then some free throws got Liberty back in the game for overtime.
And that's when the trio of Liberty, Stewy, Jones, and Ionescu summoned all their strength to win the game. That was one of the most intense games that I have seen in this season. Both teams are not giving up and they both want to win badly.

That game got intense in the dying seconds in the regulation and just as i thought that i would lose my bet but thanks to that crucial error by the Sun and a foul by Rebecca Allen that sent the Liberty in the free throw that sent the game into overtime and save my day hehe. Noong nagcheck ako last week sa ticketnet online, sobrang dami pang bakante. Hindi ko pa nacheck ngayon pero baka paubos na at baka gen ad nalang ang mga natitira.

Interesting to note though that the fight is going to be in Japan. So Jerwin will have to travel to the Inoue's homecourt and try to get back that belt.
I hope his knockout win against Wilner Soto is enough for him to get back the confidence that I think he lost when he lost twice to Fernando Daniel Martinez. Though this fight will take place in Japan, i have high hopes that Jerwin will redeem himself and win this fight as Takuma is not as talented as his brother. If he loses this one then I think he will have to consider changing a job, trainer, and done with boxing. |

If it happens two years from now when Canelo is in the twilight of his career then I'll go for Crawford but if this happens in May of next year then no doubt I'll go for Canelo as Crawford is just too small for him, I mean he needs at least 2-3 fight to prove his worth on the 168lbs division. I think he is just calling Canelo as this is a money fight for him of the latter took the bait. We might want to note that Canelo is younger than Crawford. Canelo is almost 3 years his junior. If this dream fight happens two years from now, Canelo is indeed approaching the twilight of his career. Crawford, on the other hand, is already approaching 40. Age is probably one of the reasons why Spence was running away and delaying his fight against Crawford. That's an off-topic opinion, though. It would be an amazing moment in boxing's history if this fight takes place, especially if the two remain on a winning streak when the match happens. Crawford will, however, prove his worth in 154 first. If he proves to be effective and natural in this weight, and wins fights, then he could allow his body to continue gaining weight and reach 168. But he shouldn't be confronting Canelo right away. It would be the same process. If he proves that he can handle the weight naturally, without compromising his movements, quick responses, and so on, then he could face Canelo. As to their physical stats, they're pretty much the same. Crawford has, of course, a longer reach though. My bad, I didn't even bother to research their ages but still Crawford is still small for Canelo if ever the fight happens this year or next because I have not seen a fighter jumping three weight classes then defeating the champion, not even Manny Pacquaio so I think Crawford will fight at least 3 fights before he can face Canelo competitively. |

According to Homer Sayson, which he wrote on Spin.Ph, below is the Gilas 12.
PG: Thompson, K. Ravena
SG: Clarkson, Pogoy, Perez
SF: Ramos, Malonzo, Abando
PF: Edu, Aguilar
C: Sotto, Fajardo
So, Kieffer is included in the final 12 and Newsome was cut which i think is fair because K. Ravena has the experience advantage over Newsome for the PG spot but either one of them is deserving to be included in the final roster, its just that Gilas only needs 12 players and players will be cut in the pool.

Magkano kaya presyohan ng mga tickets dyan ngayon, panigurado mahal pa sa fight ni Pacman ata yan dahil ang hilig natin sa basketball at hindi lang exhibition yong matutunghayan natin kung hindi very competitive basketball ang magaganap dyan ngayon weekend. Yong groupings na nandoon ang USA ay sa Araneta pala maglalaro at kung palarin ay sa Phil. I think these bigs are enough to slow down KAT. They do not necessarily need to totally stop him. They just need to slow him down and force mistakes and awkward shots. Individually, they will not slow down KAT but if a system is in place to counter KAT, then there is a possibility they can contain him.
Against Canada and Spain, KAT had a good percentage on the field goal so the opponent forced him to give up the ball to his teammates particularly on the corner where we can afford them taking rather than KAT taking the 3's or driving down the lane which could cause foul trouble on our bigs especially Junemar whom i think is a bit slow to guard KAT. I think we have the chance to win against DR if we can limit KAT's offensive output, let his teammates beat the Gilas not him terrorizing the paint and dominate the middle for that high percentage shots. BTW, Gilas lost to Mexico by 7 points, 84-77, Jordan Clarkson didn't play as he was rested but Gilas management assured fans that he is okay and good to go on the weekend. |

He must have get that gambling vice from a friend so i don't think he will stop easily because his mother said so because his environment have influence him to gamble. But the good thing is that he is a "responsible gambler" like you have said, let's just hope that it will turn out that way always and he may develop patience and discipline, characteristics that a good gambler must have. He is young, one day or another he will encounter ups and downs in gambling so as a family member, guide him on what to do whenever he encounters problems regarding gambling and relate our experiences to him. |

There are just times when we feel like we are cursed, experienced that one also that i think bookies were playing with me but it is just part of the game, i mean this is gambling and you might lost all your bet or win it all, or win just above 50 percent, we never know. About that VIP in the telegram, i don't think it is good to subscribe to that one because that is just the same as the regular channel and it is like you let someone gamble your money with a fee which is unfair because it is not a sure win. If i were you, i would just stick to the regular telegram channel and observe what's their strategies and might as well follow. |

This situation indicates that Inoue has a significant challenge ahead facing Casimero to demonstrate that he truly deserves the title of the best, rather than just relying on his record and not giving what the fans what they want to see.
I truly agree with the ranking, Casimero hasn't lost in a title fight yet since he hold that WBO bantamweight title, he was robbed (many might disagree) on the supposed to be fight with Butler and a chance to face the Japanese Monster in a once in a lifetime unification showdown which might be interesting that the Fulton fight. BTW, Casimero is now busy making a boxing stable of his own, we might see one of his wards might fight in his undercard in the future. |

These 3 teams that Gilas will face in the tune-up games are NOTHING compared to the teams they will face on the official bracket.
I've read somewhere that they chose these three teams to simulate the kind of play in their region/places. Like for example, they will face the Dominican Republic so they choose Mexico for them to acquaint themselves more with the Latin brand of basketball, i think i have said this in my previous post. I think they will try to dissect the system of play of their tune-up opponents hoping that this will bring similarities on their actual opponent in the FIBA World Cup 23. But I agree with you that this kind of easy game should not be the basis of choosing the final 12 but I think also that even before these games they already have in mind on who will be cut. |
