I think we need somebody to tell us a cool story.

Once upon a time, There was a young man named Svojoe,  He was a normal guy with a normal life and normal dreams.  Then along came crypto and now his life is ruined.

The end.

It's good now that were at 81 addresses over 10k Smiley

We actually have good distribution for a coin that hardly anyone knows about.

How long before the review by Isidor Zeuner is completed?

Kicks off when the below reaches 5 btc:

Total Received    3.29988259

So donate. Nearly there after all

Yeah I donated.  But according to trollsroyce, Isidor agreed to do it without a fee:  "So far, Isidor is the only qualified person that has stepped up to the plate without asking for a fee first and on that principal I believe he deserves to be compensated for his work. If and when other reviewers become available we'll start up a contribution/donation list accordingly."(http://shadowtalk.org/topic/321/shadowcash-whitepaper-review-and-code-audit).  Sounds like we were compensating out of goodness of our hearts.

I plan to donate more once the review is completed, if its completed.

I understand what you are getting at.   However I believe a real code review is a massive undertaking.   It would involve Isidor mastering the technical understanding of the coin.  I do not think this is a small feat and I hope that generously producing 5btc for the work will be motivating and produce the review timely.

I suspect coreteam has/is still trying to connect with family after months of coding.  However I do would like a active presence here.  Though I understand that IRC is the prefered place for questions/support etc.  And there is the http://shadowtalk.org/ forum that we have been encouraged to use as well.    BTCtalk has really fallen to the wayside for many coins focus, for good reason I am sure.    However I do use BTCtalk as my primary source for crypto informations.  Perhaps this is a mistake!

@Smooth,  have you fully digested the WP yet?   Being a programmer I'm curious about your thoughts,  Both on the Technology (which you seem comfortable discussing) along with the Form,Fit and Function of the Shadow platform has a whole.   I appreciate you taking the time to be here so much, I suspect you have some interest in this project beyond the FUD watching.  (though it is entertaining... occasionally..)   So I am curious if your thoughts in general.

I gave my opinion on the technology earlier (which tends to quickly devolve into mud slinging -- but I will entirely ignore that this time if it happens again). It is a straightforward reimplementation of the cryptonote design for anonymity based on ring signatures and stealth addresses, with some tweaks, and meant to coexist on a chain with a bitcoin-style non-anonymous coin (with functions to convert between them). This is a good system for anonymity, though perhaps a bit hampered in terms of anonymity by being on a shared chain (if conversion is used a lot, rather than transacting in Shadow itself)

I can't comment on Form, Fit, and Function because I haven't tried the software, just read the white paper. I also can't comment on the quality of the code implementation, since I haven't reviewed it.

I appreciate that,  I would love to send you some SDC/Shadow if you wanted to get the wallet.   I think what causes so many people here to get frustrated and start flame wars on here is the whole package of Shadow as a platform being divorced from the technicalities of the code.  On the face of it I personally believe the wallet looks very nice. (maybe the best I have ever used?)  and it seems to function nearly flawlessly to me, though I have not  engaged in heavy sdc to shadow and back activity.   I believe the ease of use combined with the ring signatures/stealth and dual function is why so many people believe "this is the hot ticket"  or finally the ANON killer APP,  so to speak.  Which is why they criticize you so much.   I am not a programmer, however I've been involved with crypto for a long time now and it would appear to me that Shadow is the premiere "all around" anon platform currently running.  And perhaps running with a big lead on most other projects when the whole platform is taken into consideration.   However I do not have your skills to help evaluate the technicals for myself which is why I seek your expertise to help me validate my impression (if correct).

I understand if you have loyalties to another project or team and may not be at liberty to make strongly favorable claims about another project.  But you are very thoughtful and know your stuff so I'm hoping I can pressure you into having a deeper look!

I personally feel its very healthy to have these discussions often, especially very early on into a project/space which I feel we are.

I was around during the mining phase of SDC, I don't think anyone party ever obtained a million coins.    The most I had heard of anyone having was a few hundred thousand.  And that was a long time ago.  I doubt most of them held through our peaks into the mid 30's.     I think our distribution is improving by the day at these prices.   Granted I like I high price as much as anyone but this low price is helping to purify the large holders. Who knows if that is good.

This seems epic.  I wonder why ShadowCash is not getting much attention yet.  Seems like the price is way undervalued.

By my opinion,  we are trading at 1/10th our proper value with this tech in this space.  Perhaps even more than that.  I think its only a matter of time.    But the sooner the better.

I have a strong sense that people are holding they're breath for the switch-over.  Not to mention fudsters trying to squash any major leaps.   The truth of the matter is no one is selling any SDC,  not really.   Teeny tiny tiny tiny fractions of the currency are bouncing around on the exchanges.   We all know that this is pretty much "the next big thing" (especially now)  and all of us here bought as much as we can and the scraps of sdc left from big holders hitting ROI are the only thing new blood has to grab.    So I think we are going to see some crazy jumps in the near future.  I am glad I'm on the 'holding team' for sure.

I believe that with the Holidays coming it very soon, the need to move quickly is important?   Otherwise we would need to wait till after new years to have enough hands on deck I would think.

The code is insane! And this is only a small part of it?!
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SDC] Shadow | Zero Knowledge Anonymity Public Testnet Online! | PoS-SPV | HTML5 on: December 13, 2014, 04:35:43 PM
So here is a question I've been curious about for a long time.

I've seen what feels like hundreds of people now,  show up here and in IRC,  say hopeful things about the project and also say that they are ready to buy and will soon as ZK is out mainnet after SDC has essentially fully proven itself.

I feel like I have literally seen this sentiment well over a hundred times (likely way more).   So my question is what the hell are these people going to do when ZK launches?  They do realize there is only 6.5M coins?   And that as it would seem the vast majority of them seem to be in very strong hands.      So what is going to happen?  If you look at the order books there is no supply.   I'm sure if we blast through 30k and get up to 50k-70k etc   Some people will ROI, or eventually sell off,  However I feel the buyers demands will vastly, Vastly outweigh the sellers even at prices several times higher than now.

So my question is, is almost everyone going to miss the boat?   There have been plenty of chances to get >20k SD, and even more chances to grab it between 20-30k.

Are most of them going to miss the boat entirely?  And be forced to kick themselves in the as forever like I do about my BTC stash before it went above $5.00 ^.^

I'm just generally curious what you think is going to happen.

Now look at the order book....   Supply is drying up.  Only one way to go!

distribution happens through time,  BTC has terrible distribution if you look beyond total wallets.  Its almost as poorly distributed as fiat!   With very few large players controlling huge amounts.     In this new 'alt' market I don't think any coin can get past several hundred or even a thousand wallets without a incredible amount of effort.   With SDC,  the devs obviously don't care about promoting a coin that is not finished in they're eyes.   Sure many of us investors are always hoping we get more exposure, but really we are along for the ride doing what we can to promote the coin.

SDC will achieve really healthy distribution in time,  Every-time the price rises and then a early major holder sells a pile of coins the distribution improves.   Obviously with a few number of wallets, having a good stash of coins means that whomever owns those coins knows what they are doing and they are excited about the future of SDC.  Much more excited about SDC than any of the other new coins out there that could be stealing our marketcap.   So that says something.

Million dollar market cap is eminent.

Multi-Million market cap is incoming!
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whales/Pump groups involved in cryptocoins? Prometheus, BobSurplus,Wolong, other on: November 09, 2014, 03:50:33 AM
I see the whales as a natural element in a chaotic system.   They are movers as much as they are shakers when you get down to it.  I've seen the coordination of whales make some pretty big things happen in this space.  But I've also seen a lot of good people get taken advantage of.

I agree with Ryno almost entirely.   The coupling of a coin project with 'monetary value' will always have some type of affect.    I do however think though that we need to understand that what we are all trying to create here is a better way to harness 'value' whatever that means.  So we must understand the markets come along with it for good or ill.

Also, I think its important to express that 'Whale' is a really subjective term.   Many or even most of us would have, or would be considered 'whales' by a new person to Crypto.   Sometimes we are in the right place at the right time,  Seeing promise is something hardly anyone notices and you turn your measly 1.2 btc into 1.7% of a new and exciting coin prospect.    You just became a whale by being in the right place at the right time.  Imagine the fiscal power it would take to muscle into 1.7% of a high market value coin.   Very few people could do it,  But those that can maybe I would call them whales?

Its a difficult concept, but I am sure I share the same opinion as many of you that I would like to see less of the abuse and manipulation and more progress towards satoshis dream.

All ships will rise!
