I find it very interesting that the most common objection (more frequent than GUI comments) is a lack of marketing We already have good marketing content, but clearly it is not meeting the masses outside of English speakers on the Bitcointalk forum and Reddit. The comments really say a lot. Many compliment the tech and potential. Marketing (to the general public) is our big weakness now Well marketing is not an issue of the core devs .... its our issue ... the community... so go and spread the word if you think we are lacking that. |

I get this is a fork of Monero but IMO there is no point in having the same emission model, since the coin has long been launched the only honest approach is not having tail emission or making it smaller or bigger.
Something to consider.
Why not ? This Fork can be some kind of experimental playground with things monero does not want to do, and having the same emission model helps evaluating changes better then a different one. |

Am i the only one who thinks the rise may have more to do with the Mining Cartels who try to stay with the same long term profit after the LTC halving? Those are the people with a) the money and coins to make such a rise happen and also sit usually in the markets ( chinese ) where most of the things happen. It´s a too sharp rise on LTC IMO for just "new money". New money maybe also be a fuel to the rise as everyone is hoping to get rich quick again but i do not think it is the reason.

Currently Monero is too inflationary, it might not really smart to invest in now👎
atleast some point you did make in all these nonsense posts. And the case that Monero is pretty stable to the Fiat price gives me some more hope then all those coins riding BTC waves. Also i think LTC is largely played by the Scrypt Farms who want to have the same Profit after the halving like they did before. |

it would be clever to roll some of the gains ( 25-50% ) back into XMR in the 0.50 USD neighborhood.
Do you see XMR getting a slingshot effect from the current rally of 1st gen altcoins (LTC/NMC/PPC etc)? The cost of generating XMR is almost 0 for come server administrators and botnet operators. They will dump at any price. Server Admins yes - Botnet Operator no ... as he could rent out his zombies for other malicous things |

du kannst gern diesen thread ignorieren wenn du diese coin nicht brauchst. übrigens, genauso quatsch wäre zu behaupten, dass bitcoin eine globale währung mit exakt gleich viel coins für jeden weltenbürger ist. dann wäre btc deiner definition nach auch nichts anderes als eine shitcoin bloss schon länger auf dem markt und "landeswährungen" gibt es seit "europa" sowieso nicht mehr für die mitgliedsstaaten. es ist ganz einfach, solange ich mit *irgendeiner coin* digital oder papier mein hotelzimmer bezahlen kann, ist es für mich keine fantasiecrypto mehr sondern akzeptiertes zahlungsmittel. dabei ist egal ob irgendeine regierung diese coin offiziell einführt oder nur ein paar coin devs oder ein findiger bauer ein coin projekt in gang setzen, die verbreitung und nutzung ist am ende entscheidend. wie der name altcoin schon sagt, es sind alternativen. mfg p.s. shitcoins sind für mich die coins mit denen man im echten leben nichts kaufen kann. Nein dazu müsste ich behaupten im [ANN] Bitcoin - "Des Planets Erde einzige Kryptowährung" damit du mit deiner Weltenbürger Gegenthese zum Erfolg kommst... behaupte ich aber nicht. |

So ein Quatsch. So ein Coin könnte als Länderwährung nur funktionieren wenn wirklich jeder Bürger gleich viele Coins bekommen würde und die Blockchain und das Hashing nur als Mittel für die Transaktionen benutzt wird.
Alles in allem nur ein weiterer unnötiger Shitcoin

Similarly, companion site will be ready within the next few days (still trying to figure out hosting, Firebase's 50$ monthly minimum is quite expensive as this project has been fully built/paid for by myself, and will be free and non-monetized).

Nur weil sich etwas stark und gut am Markt hält heisst es noch lange nicht das es Scamfrei ist. Wie immer der Rat nicht nur die Charts anschauen sondern sich vll auch mal mit der Vergangenheit diverser Coins beschäftigen.

It is the older alts that are moving notably LTC, but also NMC, and PPC. the more recent DOGE has also moved.
Could this be caused by a rotation out of BTC due to concerns about the potential risk of a hard fork ? And if that is true, is it likely to continue ? I don't think so. If that were the case, XMR would be on the rise. But I don't see very many bitcoiners diversifying into any alt, never mind LTC and NMC. XMR price almost never increases with the alts. This is nothing new. You don´t have to forget that most of the Asic´s for the old coins are running in china... so raising the general floor some steps higher gives the miners there also more profit if the new floor will be stable... |
