521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should altcoins be blamed? on: December 02, 2023, 08:55:14 AM
Well, yes... a lot of people bought into the hype of some of these shitcoins and they burn their fingers. Every Alt coin investor are hoping to experience the rag to riches story that some early investors in Bitcoin experienced, when they bought bitcoins for a few cents and then the price went up to $60 000+ .....but sadly that seldom happens with any of these shitcoins.  Tongue

The major problem are people's greed..... and their thinking that each of these shitcoins are a get rich quick opportunity.  Roll Eyes So, when these shitcoins fail up to their expectations, they blame the coin... and not their own stupidity and greed.  Tongue
522  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at its ATH of 2023 so far on: December 01, 2023, 03:30:38 PM
Yea, I think we are seeing a repeat of the 2021 recovery phase to the ATH (All Time High) of $60 000+.... but that started in August of that year.... and then there was a sudden spike in the price.

I hope this is the bottom end of the recovery phase and that it will spike during the second half of December, we need that extra boost for the December/January holiday period, because there are always a slump in January/February.. when people spend a lot of Xmas gifts and expensive holidays.  Wink
523  Economy / Economics / Re: When the world is evolving, follow the trend. on: December 01, 2023, 03:21:27 PM
You really need to break up that WALL of text into paragraphs, because it is tiresome to read it... and a lot of people will not even attempt to read it. Imagine talking with someone in real life and not even stopping to take a breath.  Roll Eyes

In any way... I read through it and I get what you saying.... but let's not forget that most transactions have been digital for years now. Most countries have shifted away from cash and people are using debit and credit cards for most of their transactions or they use them online.  Tongue
524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CASHOUT OR NOT???? on: December 01, 2023, 03:12:19 PM
I have been in that situation MANY times before and your scenario feels like I am having déjà vu. I always chicken out early and I do not regret it, because 9 out of 10 times I lose those last bets.

I think you should consider how much longer you will gamble with the amount you can win now.... and not what you can win, if you do not cash out now.  Wink How much money do you have left to gamble with... will this give you more chances to win more?
525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Its A Gambling Joke But Reflects Bad Things About Gambling on: December 01, 2023, 03:04:37 PM
That joke was not even funny.... try these for a laugh :

Q: Why is gambling banned in Africa?
A: There are too many cheetahs!

Q: Why don’t vampires like gambling?
A: They get nervous when the stakes are raised.

My wife has left me because I am a compulsive gambler. I’d do anything to win her back.

A man goes into a casino and sees a sign that reads, “If you have a gambling problem, call 1-800-GAMBLER.”

He thinks about it for a moment and then dials the number. When they answer, he says, “I have an ace and a six. The dealer has a seven. What do I do?”

Hope these jokes give you a proper laugh, because it is not funny when you lose money and you have to sell your house and car.  Sad
526  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: December 01, 2023, 02:56:18 PM
I have to say that it is very difficult to change your withdrawal Bitcoin address, if you do not have access to your 2FA device. I recently lost access to the device and now I am f$%#ed. I created the Bitcoin address on a custodial service that will not sign the Bitcoin address that I used with my freebitco.in account. (that was years ago)

You can also not do a lot without the 2FA.... and you cannot disable the 2FA, so you guys should protect the 2FA key backup with your life, if you have a lot of coins on this site.  Tongue

527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Joy of forgotten Bitcoin accounts... on: November 30, 2023, 04:27:18 PM
Have you experienced the same thing..... please share your story with us.  Wink
I am not sure it is a true story but I have reasons to believe you are telling a truth. Because I knew some people who bought Dogecoin in years like 2017 and 2018 and left them on exchanges like Bittrex, Poloniex before they moved to Binance for trading. With Dogecoin in 2017 or 2018, it was traded at low value but suddenly in 2021, it pumped a lot by Elon Musk. Those guys got considerable money from Dogecoin they left on exchange accounts which they did not touch for years.

Not an account but a seed phrase that I save on the drafts of my personal mail.
Storing your seed phrase in a personal email's draft. Oh, it' is a very bad practice. You have to stop doing this since today.

Now why would I want to lie about something trivial like this? It is a "crash" type gambling site and I think a lot of people are getting these emails from them, because they are busy with house cleaning. (I checked my other webmail addresses and found another email from an Alt account that I created on the site... but that account was empty.)

I also had a small amount of Dogecoin on faucet site... but they closed it down. (Freebitco.in also had a dogecoin faucet) ...would be nice if I found that info.... because Dogecoin was shit back in those days. (The whole Elon Musk thing... hyped it a little... but I cannot seem to find anything I kept.. from the account I created for that)  Tongue
528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Joy of forgotten Bitcoin accounts... on: November 30, 2023, 02:57:05 PM
So, I was just opening my email today....and browsing through the spam and the unsolicited junk email and phishing scams, when my eye caught a name that I have not seen in a few years. I clicked and opened the email and saw that it was a site that I joined over 5 years ago.. but I totally forgot about it.

This email warned me that the site are going to delete all the dormant accounts, so I navigated to the site (manually... not clicking on links) and tried to login. I obviously forgot the password, so I clicked on the "forgot password" option and it allowed me to change my password.

To my surprise, the account was still funded with coins that I deposited almost 5 years ago... and it was worth considerably more now... than what it was worth back then. (I think the Bitcoin price was around $7000+ at the time)

This put a huge smile on my face, because it is the EXPENSIVE holiday season and I need all the money that I can get to fund this silly time of the year.

Have you experienced the same thing..... please share your story with us.  Wink

529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today is the full eleven-year anniversary of the initial block reward halving. on: November 30, 2023, 06:57:12 AM
I hit 3 blocks at 50 coins while pool mining at bitminter.

I also was able to mine 1/1000 of the entire network on and off for a few days.

You needed 22gh when the network was 22th

I burned 11kwatts to miner 1/1000 of the entire network. at that time/

I also need a cold day around 0c and to have my garage door open .

Today 11 megawatts is well  1/1000 of the network

you need 450ph for 1/1000 of the network about about 3200 s19 xp's  that would be 10240 kwatts or 10.240 megawatts

1000 x the power.

1000 garages  with 3 or 4 s19s=xp's

Now, this is interesting information...

It is actually unimaginable that people actually mined with CPU/GPU's back in the day.... and receiving 50 bitcoins per block that are mined. I mean.... 50 bitcoins are roughly valued at $1 891 000 US today ($37 820 per bitcoin)

I have some friends mining Alt coins from their garage ....so I can picture your operation and how fortunate those people were to mine bitcoins like that.

Thank for the info...  Wink
530  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Ronaldo Faces $1 Billion Class Action Lawsuit For Promoting Binance!! on: November 30, 2023, 06:43:32 AM
This is total bullshit, his lawyers will kill them in court and they will counter sue them for defamation of character. How on earth would he have known the largest Crypto currency Exchange in the world were involved with crime at the time of signing their contract?

Yes, if he knowingly signed with a company that was known to be linked to crime, they would have had a case... but they are just grabbing at straws. It is obvious that these people are just targeting rich individuals to make some easy money.

Greedy people .... targeting rich people!
531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Many Bets to Know How Good Enough You Are? on: November 29, 2023, 06:13:10 AM
A 60% win ratio might be deceiving.... let's say 60% of those wins was on bets with low risk and only 40% of those were on high risk bets, then that statistics means nothing. Anyone can cherry pick low risk bets and achieve a high win ratio... but the true professional can take medium and high risk bets and continuously have wins on them.

The ability to spot good bets on medium to high risk bets, come from proper research and lots of experience. You should also be consistent in a large variety of Sports .....not just in one of two of the Sports that you love.  Wink
532  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: November 29, 2023, 05:57:01 AM
Will the .com players get post monthly bonus too in the next few days? Lets see and wait, hopefully to get it and get the usual amount because I wagered some this week.
Why not! The US players got it for the celebration of Thanksgiving day. And we (Stake.com users) have received the post-monthly bonus today as a Cyber Monday bonus. I have received only $7 from it. Perhaps, I didn't receive a better base reward from the post-monthly as my gambling activity wasn't much at Stake since last few weeks. Here is the link for the post-monthly bonus: https://playstake.info/bonus?code=novemberpostmonthlybonus012ufasjl1
Yeah, they have dropped the bonuses big time. I actually got $1 monthly bonus and I am a platinum 4 player lol

Can't blame them though because I have been away from stake for a while and shouldn't expect free bonuses but in past they used to give a minimum $20-30 every month regardless of your activity on the site.

Still, Stake stands as the best crypto casino we have right now by a big margin. The sponsorships and partnerships they have established are quite amazing although that doesn't exactly help the players. I would rather have 1% extra cashback than a new sponsorship.

How long have you been inactive for you to receive only $1 for your monthly? I always wonder if people that are in the same position like yourself, get more monthly ...once they start wagering again? Let's say you were inactive for 6 months and you only got $1 for monthly and then you start wagering say $20 000 per week, will it be increased again.  Huh

There are a lot of people who sometimes just decides to take an hiatus (break) from gambling or just because of their financial situation.... so why should they get punished, if they returned?

Let's hope the Xmas promotions are good enough to retain the tired bones of the people who have been grinding for the whole year.

533  Economy / Economics / Re: Luxury and spending lifestyle fastest way to poverty rich kids on: November 29, 2023, 05:44:06 AM
The problem with some of the young people today are their attitude ...and now I sound like my parents, when I was still young. These people seem to think the world owe them and not the other way around.

The majority of them want to start at the top and they think everyone can be an instant rich social media influencer.  Roll Eyes  They look up at these people as if they are some kind of superstar.

The "selfie" generation need to understand that hard work and self sacrifice are the building blocks for success. You can work hard and smart at the same time.... and you do not need to live on fast food to survive.

A lot of the rich kids that ended up on the street, never worked for the money that they splashed on parties and booze and drugs, it was inherited from their hard working parents.  Tongue
534  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-11-21] Optimistic Bitcoin Forecast: $120,000 by 2024 End on: November 29, 2023, 05:33:58 AM
Ok, so he predicted $100 000 for 2023 and we are only at $37 000 now, with one month away from 2024. How does he expect people to take him seriously, if he thumb sucks price predictions like this?

Yes, it might reach those prices, if the SEC approve the spot ETF application from BlackRock and if the Halving hype will drive up enough media awareness to push up the demand for bitcoins, but that is still not guaranteed.

Let's just wait and see .....and hope for the best.  Wink
535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Monero - Privacy as the world becomes more dystopian on: November 29, 2023, 05:26:59 AM
Yes, financial privacy are important, but there are bigger problems with it that needs to be considered.. if you want to allow that.

We know 100% anonymity is directly linked to criminal actions and we should find solutions to expose criminals and still protecting people's financial information.

Do we want the blood of innocent victims of child abuse or victims of terrorism on our conscience, when people use this technology to pay for child porn or when they buy weapons to kill innocent people in the streets as part of some religious war?
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Platforms Where You Get The Same Level Of Enjoyment Like You Do In Gambling on: November 28, 2023, 06:01:48 AM
You treat gambling as a place for entertainment and you enjoy every minute of it, but your family tells you to stop gambling for a week and challenges you to check other platforms for the same level of enjoyment that you experience in gambling.

So what will it be for you?

Mine is having a long ride on my motorcycle I feel it's refreshing and enjoyable, especially when I take on zigzag roads.
I'm a responsible rider and advocate of safe riding and if I'm not gambling online I love to take a long ride I have the same enjoyment doing both.

You do realize that the same adrenaline rush that you are getting from "gambling" are released when you are participating in a high risk activity... right?

You are addicted to the "feel good" chemicals that are released in your brain, not in the actual activity. So you can participate in any other activity, where there are a high level of danger and still get the pleasure from that. (Sky diving / Base jumps / UFC / Motor sport... etc.)

The fresh air will also do you good..... and also the physical activity that comes with this activity.  Wink
537  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: November 28, 2023, 05:52:05 AM

Just for the 2nd time ever I have been picked by one of the hosts in the forum giveaway yesterday. And even though a mod had his/her post on the same page as well.
It pays really well when you are platinum 5. Base is 90$ and with made level 2 verification you get double that amount, meaning I got tipped 180$ yesterday.

Can't complain about that.

Let's see if the upcoming week gives u a post monthly or of they do an early monthly for December , like they did last year. It would surely be nice I must say!

Yea, it is a nice feeling when you try for months to be picked and then suddenly out of the blue, you get a huge tip from one of the mods and you realize you were picked. I always post some nice picture that are related to the stream and I always add the lucky color, but for some reason I am never being picked.

The Post-Monthly was a good surprise, because I blew through my gambling budget last week.... and my Monthly was part of that. (The all-in strategy never work.... but I am always tempted to try it.. but that is gambling after all)  Roll Eyes
538  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Banks keeping secret about CBDC blockchains on: November 28, 2023, 05:38:13 AM
One thing we know is that Central Bank Digital Currencies are controlled by Central Banks, so it is not any different than Fiat currencies. (It is actually just the digital version of Fiat currencies)

Anything that are controlled by a central authority can be manipulated or misused, so the process of the printing of toilet paper Fiat, will just be moved to the manipulation of the supply of digital tokens on this technology.  Roll Eyes
539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was This Client Kidnapped for Their Coins? on: November 28, 2023, 05:28:54 AM
We all know that "Telegram" is a scammers paradise, so you should never trust any anonymous user on that platform. This person obviously hooked you with the initial payment and then vanished into thin air.... getting 50% off on the work that was done.

This method are called a long con or exit scam... or so I am told, it is quite common for scammers to "hook" victims to gain their trust and then to cut and run, before anything else are paid.  Tongue
540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will transaction fees affect Bitcoin in the future? on: November 28, 2023, 05:21:11 AM
The transaction fees should not have an influence at all in the future, if people use the Lightning Network for the "currency" part of this technology and the Blockchain for everything else. (accept for these Ordinals nonsense)  Roll Eyes

Also, if you do only "bulk" transactions now and again.... like moving a bunch of tokens into and out of cold storage... then we will not have a problem with congestion. (Limit the micro transactions on the Blockchain)  Tongue
