522  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: a concept about creating high-security holograms for paper wallet. on: November 13, 2016, 10:16:17 AM
this will be more secure than paper money  Grin
lmao, i would wish to! just like what the passports will do in their print.

Seems like a cool idea ill keep this on my watch list.
Smiley

Everything says out of stock on the papersafe site.

If anyone is looking for custom hologram stickers, I used these guys about a year ago to do a 100 custom stickers for under $20:
http://www.labelogixusa.com/page2/customprintedlabels.html

if you have a higher budget, there are similar sticker manufacturers with a better security level, its quantity (not lying) and the quality could be better than the typical top notch.
523  Other / Politics & Society / Re: TRUMP WINS on: November 12, 2016, 02:10:40 AM
so what? as long as the Trump is responsible to their residents, and not to enforce the laws the protestors hate, as well as if he is not gonna solve the riots by violence like what China does when facing them. Clinton could have won the election but since the incidence of email. Huh

something i would wish, if  Trump is gonna overthrow the Chinese communist party to enlight China.
524  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: a concept about creating high-security holograms for paper wallet. on: November 12, 2016, 01:58:06 AM
after all, this kind of stickers, if completed, are universal. to be explicit (you guys normally write it as 'clear'), no keys that is required to import such wallet is printed, instead with a serial code. as of this post is posted, i am unable to draw my draft and crashed several of times in my PC, i am waiting for a certain computer that won't crash about.
525  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best place to sell large amounts of BTC? on: November 11, 2016, 02:04:12 AM
how much do you expect? do you wish to use www.huobi.com ? IIRC they are not limiting maximum withdrawal, if you trade with CNY, no fees trading with. they are chinese but provide support in English. if you are having questions about that site, then i can try to answer as i am HKer.
526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India Bans Its Largest Fiat Currency Notes on: November 09, 2016, 11:32:26 PM
i am curious that why India would ban the 1000 notes, that's not even value $20 per. in that case when your spend your stuff in India, you pay bunch of rupee banknote. Huh
527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEver keep all your coins on an exchange on: November 08, 2016, 11:32:14 AM
I agree. Because first maybe another exchanger have a better offer (talking about the price of btc), second the exchanger hacked you will lose all your bitcoin and that's wouldn't be good.
explicitly. unless there are provable evidences that they will be responsible to their debt and/or to chase back the fund from hacking if went bankrupt by any reason. exchange bankruptcy could ruin bitcoin's economy and trustless system would be more likely faithless.
528  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: a concept about creating high-security holograms for paper wallet. on: November 07, 2016, 07:15:06 AM
So just to make sure I understand this correctly, the user creates the paper wallet with a pass phrase and then you only print the pass phrase for them in a hologram? Do they add the Bitcoin Address and the Private key later, when they receive the note?

That would be about the only way, I would be doing this. I will never surrender the private key to anyone to create it for me. ^hmmmmm^
... i mean, if that printer is trusted, i will get them a quote about the wallet data if needed. i will get manufacturer to print passphrase under the hologram only, not the key (i won't know the public or private key at all). i can send to them as soon as i have received the batch. they complete the note using the hologram received, with the password in it.
or people can do it all themselves with that hologram. just as long as it is safe from fraud.
529  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: a concept about creating high-security holograms for paper wallet. on: November 07, 2016, 04:13:59 AM

If you have very little to buy a Satoshi Note , How is it going to be affordable for you to pay for holograms,

The holograms that I use are good quality signature secure holograms. They are clear with a slight tint to them,
They are there to protect the Scratch off that is placed over the Password..it is the Scratch off that is securing the password
The Hologram is placed over the scratch off, and printed over with the graphics you see. The bar code around the outside
is there for tamper evident , if someone tried to lift the hologram, also The paper will turn a color with solvents and alcohol , so chemical
peeling is stopped...

I picked this hologram because It was clear, can be printed on so I can change the graphics as my designs change...

The Idea with a hologram is that they are not easy to duplicate, Having a very good quality hologram makes no sense for a DIY
Paper Wallet. PaperSafe were designed with the idea that Bitcoins could be Traded Off Chain...as long as the Tamper Evident hologram is intact
then the coins are secure.....BUT , in the end..

PaperSafe Is just very secure ART

BG4
PaperSafe.org
i mean i have little immediate funds to buy a note.

though, i wonder how to make a trustless legit notes, indeed like what you have stated, i have this idea as well inspired by banknotes. if high security holograms don't make sense w/ DIY, then for me it is a bit wrong:
hologram itself, if it is thin enough, is already tamper evident, by picking out of that, the position of where the sticker is picked up might be messed up, leading traces on it. or you can print a logo on both paper layer and the holographic layer - what the banknotes have; it must be accurate to restick on.

by the way i wanna know the method to figure out if the password is securely legit, like dual-channel diagram.
maybe i can give you the sample if i bought them, and compare using it. Huh

holograms are the core of security documents, after all.
530  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: a concept about creating high-security holograms for paper wallet. on: November 07, 2016, 03:12:51 AM
I see you have taken interest in my work.

First off... It is not just the hologram that is securing PaperSafe keys.
Just because the hologram is expensive doesn't make it any more secure.

Second. is trust...You cant just print a paper wallet and expect people to want to buy it...
I already went down that road.  when its all said and done...
PaperSafe Satoshi Notes are nothing more than... ARTWORK...

It took me over 2 years getting to my first printed series that was offered on the forum...
So don't be in a hurry, take your time and do research and lots of testing...
Get it right the first time.. also I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

One last thing......Get yourself a PaperSafe Satoshi Note .....good luck

hi BG4, thanks to be here to asnwer my question.
first of all,  Cry i have little to buy a satoshi note.
second, indeed i mean what i am planning to create does not have any keys printed on, well it is a challenge to make it trustless and evidently legit. third, is the hologram solely designed by yourself or a related team? fine but it is important as i believe the password covered by hologram decides the validity of the wallet, any kind of trace(s) differs its trust. Huh ok the last thing is, i am just supplying holographic stickers, so i am when pigs fly to own any keys with funds by other people. Smiley
edit: i will buy one if you can supply internationally, i am exercising my artwork in my hologram.
531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: November 07, 2016, 02:00:54 AM
has anyone imagined the problem of the heavy transaction flow in the bitcoin blockchain? i would believe that if the blockchain is larger, fewer people will be able to use the bitcoin core, or use the chain-free wallet. at least it won't matter bitcoin yet could lessen the decentralization of bitcoin blockchain.
532  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: a concept about creating high-security holograms for paper wallet. on: November 06, 2016, 01:19:47 PM
the question is, in a nutshell: if i created a security hologram for paper wallets, how many people would use that or would you get to use? feel free to give opinion and/or anything else. don't expect too major on this because this might not yet be done until late 2016.
Something like this: https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com/ ?

like that sticker, but is not a regular stock at all, instead it will be completely customised and higher security like banknotes.
sourced from www.papersafe.org , look at the hologram covered by 'secure' word

similar to that, but more complicated one as what i am planning to design.
This sounds quite interesting!
Have you considered to also design DIY holograms for physical coins (if that is even possible)? IMHO there is a greater demand than for stickers on paperwallets.
physical coins are not in my plan because i am not greatly trusted and i don't grauantee the safety of wallet by 100%, that's why i will make it DIY.
533  Bitcoin / Project Development / (By interest) Concept of high security paper wallet hologram sticker on: November 06, 2016, 03:12:29 AM
(recently i got an idea of doing some DIY holographic paper wallet design. in order to make either the transaction offchain, let the people who don't use bitcoin software but wish to use bitcoin / altcoin physically to use them freely and easily, or as a cold storage.

in that case, in order to create a great and cool sticker, i have a little idea about the design already, but the price of manufacturing is quite expensive though. if i design that, that will be a sticker only because it could be used in altcoins, and that kind of design will be less likely to counterfeit compared to, such as, holograms used in papersafe.

i would with bells on to make the keys in that hologram, however then trust and the security could be less reliable, including less allowance of altcoins if it is premade; that's why it will be a DIY. you need a verify or trustless rather than trust, it could be a disaster.

the question is, in a nutshell: if i created a security hologram for paper wallets, how many people would use that or would you get to use? feel free to give opinion and/or anything else. don't expect too major on this because this might not yet be done until late 2016.)

the physical sticker would be very different when manufactured, if you are interested on those holograms, feel free to send me a PM.
the preview diagram is like this (not the actual or optical effect as not yet finished):
https://i.imgur.com/Y46cwq0 (unable to embed image)

edit 11/9: i am now working on it, stand by.
edit 11/12: unable to draw for PC crash.
edit 1/11/2017: preview of "500" is arrving soon arrived, i designed it. it would be a bit random but with advanced technologies.
534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: November 06, 2016, 01:32:12 AM
i heard many illegal activities used bitcoin in deepweeb
but i think it will rise bitcoin in the future
many ppl used it so many ppl will look for it
yeah I think it is true that the news that there are many users who use bitcoin for illegal activities, even gambling also is illegal, because the bitcoin system are anonymous, this makes the user more comfortable using bitcoin for illegal activities
I have saw only a few places where it was used as illegal and on a lot of places it is used for good and gambling is illegal in some places not in all countries so in those countries where gambling is legal we cannot say that people are doing illegal with bitcoin.
even china bans banks from using bitcoin only, not other than that in china. the places used as illegal is few just like Indonesia IIRC. nobody can intuitively state if people is using bitcoin illegally unless what anyone own was exposed to be illegal, to do that, you might even have to decrypt their data they have / had encrypted. in US i guess that bitcoin is taxable, but i don't really rich in that law since i am not in the US.

excuse me, man. may i have a suggestion about preventing spamming? i am looking forward about the opinions. so you guys want to prevent spam, right? why not to increase the minimum symbol characters into around 100 or even 200? for that matter, you don't need to ditch the count of off topic posts. however would we need to increase the reward per post? that's a method to force spammers increase their quality of posts, right?

disclaimer: i wanna increase the quality of posting from the beginning, rather than all the way supporting SMAS.
Quantity does not equal to quality.  Spam is simply defined as noncontributing posts, which are not directly related to the length of a post.
Honestly, the first thing we have to do is filter out the non-English speakers that are unable to form a proper sentence.  (This is an ENGLISH-speaking forum)

Those -1 post entries are normal default entries to avoid mistakes. Since errors from when tracker campaign started, dev added this so at the start of crediting, it starts by making such a created entry before doing anything else for everyone. That way if credits are not processed for only some people it becomes very obvious to user (which might not be obvious to us otherwise, especially if it's only a few people at end of the queue, since without such a default entry, there would just be a few entries missing for that day and unless we counted manually entries for each day, we wouldn't notice a few missing one.) These entries make it easy to spot and easier to correct and reprocess failed credits

Dev added a lot of tracking/debug features since last issues and feature since the last problems. Tracker starting to become a really polished product. I got in touch with dev and issue will be looked into.

I got the error again today (4th time), please keep us updated!

i know, but people who has lower ability of English should be grown here so they can gain English skills faster. if we don't educate them English but filter them out, even if he she is not in any campaign, i believe it is a form of discrimination. manager is human to verify, but counter is a bot, after all. how about giving bounties of catching people who intentionally spam? would that a better choice to decrease spamming?

like what you have said, quantity does not mean quality, yet in fact quality doesn't mean quantity. for an example: people could post dozens or even hundreds of threads/replies in which all of the content in this situation are well organised, on topic, detailed, and constructive; they deserve rewards. right?

537  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Authorize log-in attempt blockchain.info on: November 05, 2016, 01:40:30 AM
as well, everyone here encountering the similar problem of this, needs to get noticed that blockchain has scheduled maintenances, if that happens, issues fluorishes until the maintenance goes completed. right?
edit: i think they are not really noticing people of what they are doing, anyway are you guys got your issues solved?
538  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How to scam the Bitcoin community for ONLY 0.4 BTC via a Press Release on CT on: November 04, 2016, 06:22:00 AM
so this is true, i am believing the people are still trusting the CT.
mods should let this thread to be somewhere important so people will know CT is allowing advertising fraud.
539  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do we cross the 1000 USD barrier? on: November 04, 2016, 05:43:31 AM
guess what? once the bitcoin is spreaded out, the price of bitcoin will soar in a few continuous days, but for me, it would be at least Q1 2017, because there are a certain pricing barriers like the upcoming economic crash (?).
540  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Samsung Evo 850 SSD. on: November 03, 2016, 04:55:27 AM
