521  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ZTEX Quad Power Adapter Alternatives in the UK? on: April 19, 2012, 10:22:29 AM
You don't need a center pin ! The center pin is on the other side of the connector. Every 5.5, 2.1 plug will work.
522  Other / Off-topic / Re: Butterfly Labs - Bitforce Single and Mini Rig Box on: April 18, 2012, 06:51:00 PM
I just received three rev. 3 Singles yesterday and have unpacked and installed one of them, and the bottom fan is back!
No, it's not a rev. 2 single, it has the new heat pipe-based heat sink inside, but the weird bottom fan is back now!   Shocked
(I haven't taken a look at the other two Singles yet.)
I think some earlier pics showed the small copper colored one still on the bottom, behind a grille - do you mean that one, or do you mean the full sized big black fan protruding from the bottom?

I mean the black protruding one. I'm not kidding.

WTF ? Why did they do this ?

Purchased the core 2 duo roughly a month ago from Shakaru. This was his spur of "Help me pay back my debt by selling lots of little things" spree. I have yet to receive it, and I know other people are receiving stuff.  Sent 2 btc to 1EykWMskDwbqacQAEMZ5AybAa8XQVbPN2o from 17D27VnXUZ4XbvrbqQ8RmvCkZQYXqQK1s5 on 2012-03-16, a day after the purchase. While Shakaru's replies are typically quick, I have yet to see a CPU in my mailbox from him. Nor can he come up with a tracking number.

I'll settle for my 2 BTC back or a similar archecture chip of equal or faster speeds.

That shit sucks.

Hi

würde mich freuen auf jede antwort was mir da weiter helfen würde

534  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ZTEX USB-FPGA Module 1.15x: 210 MH/s FPGA Board on: April 14, 2012, 08:23:14 PM
There is also the CPLD jtag pinheader between the FPGAs. But if there wasn't anything between I'm not sure if the four BGAs are plan enough for a monolith heatsink. Maybe it is possible to handle four single heatsinks with one big fan.

Hpman

A 120mm fan should work fine. The stock fans blow way less than 10 CFM each.
535  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: FPGA Rig Photos on: April 14, 2012, 11:37:15 AM
No matter what people say about BFL and their lead times, revision 3 rocks! A miners dream. And some still dream about a GPU future... Roll Eyes
536  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ZTEX USB-FPGA Module 1.15x: 210 MH/s FPGA Board on: April 14, 2012, 11:16:24 AM
Very nice. If this is sold for a reasonable price then this is a big step forward.
537  Other / Off-topic / Re: I visited BFL, any questions ? on: April 12, 2012, 05:34:49 PM
Trying to order a Mini-Rig, they have sent me very lousy bank details, when I tell them I need SWIFT number and IBAN number for Internatinal transfer, they say the have no idea what these are.

I have doubt about trusting these people now.
North American banks don't use IBAN numbers. At least for mine, you concat the institution number, transit number and account number together, not necessarily in that order. That's not a BFL think, it's just an issue sending wires between Europe and NA. They should know what a SWIFT number is though, although that is sometimes labeled differently here. My bank calls the SWIFT number the BIC.
^ This.

NA Banks don't use IBAN/SWIFT, they use a Clearing Code and/or Fedwire/ABA code.

They do use SWIFT codes ! Here the information i got from Sonny:

Bank name: XXX
Bank address: XXX
Swift:  XXX
ABA / Routing: XXX
Account Name: XXX
Account Number: XXX
Account Address: XXX

If you call that lousy you have no idea !

Edit: Account information removed on request of BFL
538  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Kindle Fire from lolwut on: April 12, 2012, 04:42:49 AM
That's pretty harsh. These things arent exactly designed to run regular android, the roms can be a bit buggy. CyanogenMod can have issues at times. Out of all of the units I sold, yours was the only one that had issues. If you hadn't of smashed that one I would have gladly replaced it for you.

Either away, I apologize for your troubles and I'm glad you were able to take your anger out on something.

This things can happen. I'm somehow a magnet for non working items. In my anger i ordered a Samsung Galaxy tab. Should be a good replacement.
539  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Kindle Fire from lolwut on: April 11, 2012, 08:41:31 PM
Yea, that's why I won't buy pre-modded electronics, even soft mods. I'll gladly be pissed off at myself for fudging it up rather than someone else.

Sorry to hear your kindle is kaput, looks like there's no recovery now  Undecided

I don't think it was just a pre modding issue. More like hardware releated. Dead battery or so.
540  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Kindle Fire from lolwut on: April 11, 2012, 08:32:47 PM
Whoa!

What happened here?

I'm not accusing lolwut being a scammer but as a matter of fact I received a non working Kindle Fire. It just kept restarting. No chance to start without USB cable, no chance to turn it off with usb connected. Fucking loop of death. Well and after 3 hours of unbricking i lost patience...
