521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: January 22, 2024, 12:49:03 PM
In fact, gambling can be done by anyone who has money to deposit.

What makes gamblers often lose is when they start to get angry or greedy. Gambling is a matter of luck or not, enjoy when you win and forget about when you lose. That way, we will not fall into gambling addiction which often gets worse day by day
Even if you don't have it, you still can play freely via demo mode. But, I think still minors are not allowed with it. Emotion has nothing to do in a luck-based game although indeed that if you have it, you will find your self coming back to avenge your losses.

Or you will continue thinking you can still earn more. And this is how results start to change from good to bad, if ever we started being lucky. In some gambling games, skills can matter the most. If we don't take gambling seriously, enjoying is possible whatever the outcome is. Gambling addiction can get worse continuously if not treated. So, we should watch out for the signs and do the right thing once you have them.
522  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for new coin listing alerts app on: January 22, 2024, 10:56:23 AM
coingecko and coinmarket you can see about new coin listing.
but new coins are usually listed on dex exchanges such as pancakeswap et al. if it's not a big coin whose ico can get a lot of investors new coins are usually listed on dex exchanges.
That's right. They need to prove themselves first if they are truly worthy by getting enough volume in a DEX. But what ICO you are talking about dude? They are not a thing anymore in the crypto world.

But, if the project gets a lot of investors, things are going to be easy for them. It wouldn't take long for them to be  spotted on that two giant listing site. All coins do always start small and they can only get huge overtime if more people support them. And for them to be supported, they must possess something that is unique (features or use case). It was only sad that projects like this are now too good to be true. It was like we are finding a needle in the haystack.
523  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto exchanges 2023 annual report by TokenInsight on: January 22, 2024, 09:40:55 AM
what is orca.
or youre mean about dex echanger solana platform.
The majority of Dex Exchange's largest users operate on the BNB Smart Chain platform. It's possible that PancakeSwap is still better than ORCA, which runs on the Solana platform. Alternatively, it could be because I am not closely following the development of Dex Exchangers or because I am not a frequent user of the Solana platform, which would explain why I am less aware of the advancements in Dex Exchangers.
I guess that's what he mean to. But really, it was BSC who take the lead now? Because I thought it was still ETH. If only the gas fees of ETH didn't get bloated, they will still be on top. But ETH was still bigger than in BSC and BNB in terms of crypto rankings. and I heard tokens on ETH are still more safer and has a better quality than the other. So if we are an altcoin/token investor, I will still recommend to prioritized them over the BSC and others.

In between PCS and ORCA, I do agree too that PCS still takes the lead despite SOL tokens are gaining a traction lately. It was still early for them. They need to show their worth first a little longer for them to get a better position.
524  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: No one has gone broke taking profits, always take profits. on: January 22, 2024, 05:56:52 AM
Regardless of what someone says, don't rush to believe it, but check for yourself to see if it's really the way they are conveying it. I don't think OP's teacher stated a right/wrong point of view, and it's the OP's ability to apply it that matters, theory is just theory, practice more. There's any problem even sharing about the problem of criticizing the teacher's point of view, because each person's different interactions will yield different results.

In this case it can be applied correctly, and making a profit from an inexperienced person is a better outcome than taking a loss. But if you have contact and experience with the market, profits are not important, the plan you have determined needs to be achieved, not just a few percent, but it is the story of turning the initial investment into success a big profit, but there are obviously risks that need to be planned.
Yes, each can give their own views but still it does not mean that all are now correct. So it's not wrong to correct them. I know it can be hard but at least we try. And some can actually listen to us. So sometimes it was only our doubts or thoughts that limit us. As a newbie, going on our own is also risky. We can lose but it will still teach us something and we can use it to improve. Profits are still important because this is the

reason on why we are here. We must not only disregard other factors to be able to become a better individual. As a starter, we can go slow. It's fine but what important is there is a progress. I'm sure all our plans are still going to be fulfilled 100 percent.
525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Introducing FAFY token - The future of content monetization on: January 21, 2024, 07:14:44 PM
If you really want better access move it here. Announcements (Altcoins)

I took a look at the website and some social channels, and really feel that you guys lack attraction and quality like the way you're talking about (hype).

A little advice, don't just talk nonsense, prove you have the ability, or simply you are only in the sh*tcoin segment and get very little attention. If possible, do some marketing programs that pay real money rather than worthless tokens, or try to cooperate with big partners to help the project have a better position. If it only stopped at your current things, I honestly would never buy this.
If it's about better access, I actually think that this board here are much better than the altcoins announcements. And maybe that is the reason on why he posted it here. I can feel that a lot of users here can judge them quickly by basing only on their looks. But what you did of doing a research about them is more appropriate. Not that I'm defending them, but I think they are not talking none-sense.

All I can see they are posting are about their project. But, maybe you are right that there is still something that lacks in them. This thread shall be their way to identify those and hopefully they will improve their project. It's not yet too late for it.
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Launchpool, a possible earning opportunity? on: January 21, 2024, 05:45:54 AM
According to Cryptocult, a Twitter account that has been focusing on Launchpool projects, Manta is likely to be worth $1.5 to $2.5 per coin, while an optimistic approach would be anywhere from $3 to $5.

Well, the two-day staking period won't yield much coins unless you have a large amount of BNB, so for the majority of us who don't, this Launchpool doesn't seem like a big deal.
I have received mine but it is not that much and I can't wait for it to reach those prices. So, I just treated it as the typical airdrop and that's a nice $10 for me.

A free money. It may not that be much but it's still free money and this is going to continue as long as there will be more projects that will be on their launchpool.

I start to see some folks that have got more than 100-160 BNB on the vault and they've got around $600 worth of free money.
I would guess that people who have a lot of money do not see a point of not taking that free money, normally it was people like us, like people who take that ten bucks and be happy about it, it is not much work and it is free so why not take it. But we are not that rich, so taking that free money made us happy all the time, it doesn't matter how much, if you give us free money the new will always be happy to take it.

However, I am seeing those big bucks people to get involved as well lately, and usually they do not bother with it since it is not a lot of money but I am seeing them get more and more common these days which is why I keep saying that we are getting closer to bull run because those rich folks are not around during the bear run, but they get more crowded when it is nearing the bull season.
527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the possibility of discovering a memecoin that could change your life? on: January 20, 2024, 04:12:52 PM
Over the years, new projects have emerged and now we see more and more being launched

There are way too many altcoins now and a lot of them are even scams the chance of an altcoin being successful and making its investors millionaires overnight is not that high just imagine for memecoins in which a lot were created for fun and not really for utility or profit still if you have your eye on one it wouldn’t hurt to do some research maybe join airdrops and just see where it goes
Even before, investing is not that easy as you think, even if they are investing in legit cryptos which are built for the long term. While those new and shady coins, if ever they get lucky to pump, it won't still last for a long time. Now if we are hoping to get rich and HODL them longer, the opposite thing of being rich is only going to happen to us.

Airdrops are different from investing, although many airdrops now are not free. But, if you can invest on the drops, why can you just invest for real instead? That would be cheaper and more effective of earning a better profit once the project became successful. Also airdrops are sometimes not guaranteed.
528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to ride and stop! on: January 20, 2024, 12:59:50 PM
This has always been what use to deceive gamblers that gambling is about luck and they risk their game by continuing playing. Instead of some people to stop playing when they have gotten to a level whereby they can go with the money they have won so far they prefer to continue playing having the mindset that they still have the luck to win the remaining game.  Luck in gambling can't be predicted but always come as a surprise.

It is important to know when is the right time to stop in gambling,  and never to allow greed to make you feel their is much guarantee of winning the game to the end, continuing playing till the end can end up losing everything.
I agree that not knowing the right time to gamble puts you at greater risk. Therefore besides knowing the right time you have to think about the loss. Avoid greed and never expect big wins go through little and be consistent. Gamblers who become greedy never win so much is lost that they can never be recovered greedy gamblers do not consider the right time. If you think that you will win even if you bet you will be full of disappointment towards the end. If you understand the risk of gambling the damage will be reduced.
Greed does put a lot of hamper into ones gambling, and their winnings as well. Not knowing when to stop is such a common thing, some people get so much ahead, like turn it multiple times higher than what they have won, and yet they still lose it all.

I remember there was a guy who made 200 dollars and turned it into 200k, he wasn't some poor guy, he was betting 200 dollars per bet, that's a rich person anyway, but he turned 200 into 200k, so that feels like it should be something that would be a lot more important. What happened after that? He lost all 200k and then some more. Because he saw that he won, so he wanted to keep going, even upped his betting and that is the most important part of the deal at the moment, stop when you are ahead.
529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Higher and lower risks in gambling is the gamblers choice. on: January 20, 2024, 11:44:21 AM
I don't know if everyone is aware of this that the more risks you takes on your predictions is the more higher the game odds, and this set of gambling demands lower stakes due to the chances to win is extremely high. Strategically, you are trying to safe your funds from some sort of impossible winning because it is obvious that you are daring the game with such high risks.

And the lower risks you takes on your predictions is the smaller the game odds which you may demand higher stakes to secure an appreciative winning. Although there is still no assurance of winning here for winning in gambling is strictly game of luck.
I do agree that it is not a nice thing and it does provide you with a lot of trouble when you are not careful but you should do it anyway. I am not saying that you should not be careful about it or anything like that, do what makes you feel comfortable of course but there IS a wrong way to gamble, it is not all personal preference.

Low risk or high risk, it's the reward that matters. If you are getting into something high risk, but the reward is low, then there is no reason why you should be taking a high risk for a small return, THAT is a wrong way to gamble, and at the same time, even when you are gambling low risk ,betting everything you have is still not true, you could still lose, might be low risk, but still it is not zero risk.
530  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short Term Trading Altcoins and Meme Coins? on: January 20, 2024, 10:33:40 AM
Snip
I still believe there winning ratio with memecoin is very thin as you said all the 5 meme coin cannot scam together but simply failed so I believe all 5 meme coin can fail together leaving you with nothing hence I would say we cannot experiment with memecoin and it should hardly by under 10% of our portfolio if we want to take chances.
well said. We should not experiment with memecoin when market is so volatile & unpredictable. For example dogecoin may pump 5-7 time and so far shiba cause these are top altcoins, even doge has elon musk support. But if rest of memecoin fall down 8-10 time low from their value, then op will still in lose. But buy only doge & shiba won't be a sure shot for OP cause nobody can't speculation that what is going to be happened where elon musk is more unpredictable than memecoin lol. But anyone can take Risk with own responsibility
It is really a shame that people do fall for their trap, it is quite easy to handle something this big, we should not be really considering the situation to be all that confusing, we are dealing with a good situation here. I get that it is not going to be all that easy to make money from bitcoin, because it's slow compared to altcoins, but just because alts could move faster doesn't mean that they will.

So, we should consider the deal to be a bit harder to handle, and if we can make it work then we could definitely get to a point where it is going to be something that will end up being quite strong for all of us. I know that we are not dealing with anything that would not be all that simple, but we just need to make it work.
531  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I become a professional trader? on: January 19, 2024, 03:44:02 PM
As long as we can, it is likely possible. But I would say that becoming a professional trader is not too easy. Many people had tried this kind of job but guess what, many of them had quit. We can ask why but it is because not all are meant for this job and of course, this won't work for impatient, emotional, and greedy people.

So if you think you can control yourselves and embrace the pressure it gives, it is not impossible to reach.
And most of all, we don't have to stop learning and become confident enough as we already acquired knowledge and skills instead, continue to learn more things from our experience.
I would say it is not even necessary to be fair. I mean if we are trading whenever we find the time, that should be more than enough, trying to be a full-time trader doesn't really make sense to me, it is not what we should be looking for at all. I am not saying it is a bad idea, I am not saying it is something we should avoid, all I am saying is that it is useless and excess, there is no real need for it.

If you want to, just keep working your job and keep trading when you get the time, some jobs you can even trade during the job, obviously not manual labour, but if you are an office worker, while you are not doing anything, you can check the situation and trade a bit. That is why I would say that full time trader is not really a good idea.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 18, 2024, 12:18:31 PM
The first Test match is a record day only for Hazelwood as he has collected 4 wickets in the second innings so far after taking 4 wickets in the first innings. Collected eight wickets so far in 2 innings. If he can pick up two more wickets before the West Indies are all out, Hazelwood will achieve another milestone of 10 wickets in Tests. He has no record of taking 10 wickets in 67 Tests so far but if he can collect two more wickets in this Test he will become the first to take 10 wickets in a Test.
There is nothing interested in this another dead rubber match for Australia which is extending their lead into WTC points table and going to have another one-sided win within just 3 days with their bowlers are at the top due to home advantage and inexperienced West Indian batting line which are surely helping them for having results like these. Hazelwood is undoubtedly having good start of the year as first Pakistan and now West Indies gave him good number of wickets. Now most chances we will have an inning win, or we will have just few runs for Australia to chase down to win this first test match of the series.

Australians are also having not good day with batting, but Travis Head gave them thumbing lead with another century, and they were able to touch figure of 288 which gives them 95 runs healthy match winning lead in this match. I did not have courage to bet on West Indies on this match and also odds for Australia was also not attractive; really a dead rubber even for gamblers as well.
533  Economy / Economics / Re: Useful side hustles to sponsor a BTC investment dream. on: January 18, 2024, 11:33:22 AM
I've gone through the thread and seen the different online businesses about the ways to earn and the amount to be earned to make money to invest in Bitcoin, there are other ways like doing your day work and saving money to periodically accumulate and hodle Bitcoin. Lets not forget that this forum is one of the best ways to earn money to invest in Bitcoin, we discuss Bitcoin, rank up and begin to earn BTC rewards to invest in Bitcoin, I think that this forum is a blessing in reality and a good alternative means of achieving the aim of accumulating Bitcoin to hold.
The hardest part is to make sure that you are doing the right thing, I mean it is not that simple and you are going to end up with some trouble if you are not careful. I have to say that it is not going to be easy to make some sort of change like that, it is not simple for people to find that money.

I get that there are some side hustles, I have done them back in the day as well but it was just way too much work for me and I decided not to do it anymore. For me, just working my regular job and putting some aside from that would be the greatest, I am incapable of doing that nowadays because I am earning way way way less than I normally did, but I hope to recover and do better in a few weeks time and put some aside when that happens.
534  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education and why it should be a priority. on: January 18, 2024, 10:06:21 AM
Financial education is an disciplinary studies which entails about financial managements and so as entrepreneurship to creating financial sources.
However, this course of financial education should not be a must expected to be a departmental course of studies in the schools before one would admit to its sequences.
So, everyone whom has a financial goal must individually be adherence to this factor that financial education is a literacy adventure for financial successiveness
I have always said that it should be taught at simple levels to kids first, not like 8 year olds, they will not remember anything about that, I think high school kids would be a lot better. The problem of the new generation is that they were born with the fact and knowledge that they will never be rich, they have to be in the very few percentile of their peers to be rich, and they know most of them will not get it and they lost morale because of it and not caring about anything in the world.

Our generation knew that there was a possibility and turns out there wasn't, but we grew up being taught that if we finish college, we could live a decent life, but we didn't and our parents lived a decent life even without a college degree. If we teach kids about finances, and show them how they could be richer, maybe that would help their morale a bit, like give them some purpose and a goal.
535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 18, 2024, 06:10:02 AM
Holy smokes! I did not expect India to struggle so freaking much to whitewash the Afghanistan team. 212 + 2 super overs is just crazy and it all happened on Indian turf which is why I applaud Afghanistan for their never give up attitude.

Rohit was sensational in this match while Rinku continues staking his claim as one of the best finishers in T20 cricket. What a finale!
It's another match to prove that they're not a team that can be taken for granted and the threat becomes higher in the shortest formats. I did watch the complete match and it's more than expected about the entertainment part because who thought the match will become a nail biter and requires 2 super overs to get the results.

Hitman sixes are the most highlighted part but I agree with Rinku calm mindset no matter when and what situation he comes to bat is really a big advantage for the future of team India.
T20 is going to have another level of entertainment for all cricket followers with matches like these are surely going to create good revenue for the media houses which are looking for better results in coming years but sadly due to ICC hypocritical policies and negative role, we are not having things in this format as we look forward with that I view like ICC is one of the worst sports organization which is not working for the development of the game and trying to have just their own stake in pockets with big countries which are holding all things about this game.

After scoring 212 India were feeling comfortable and there is no doubt things were under control but from 19th and 20th overs Afghanistan's 36 runs brought this game to tie and then super over after super over brought India victorious.
536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in meme coins is worthy or not? on: January 17, 2024, 07:11:32 PM
Some people might disagree with me, but in my humble opinion buying meme coin is more like gambling than investment. Compared to other altcoins that has utility and solve real problems. Meme coin doesn't have any of that, they only rely on their communities loyalty, not to mention that most (if not all) of meme coin is centralized so to be used as cryptocurrency it still far worse compared to Bitcoin. If I am not mistaken I have read that some memecoin eventually applied some utility onto them, but as far as meme coin doesn't offer any advantages compared to other cryptos I wouldn't think investing in it is worthy.
Actually all will agree with that. We are not blind to not see the performance of the meme coins. But we know us, we like to gamble because we like to earn a quick profit. And maybe there are people who enjoy doing it because there is an element of surprise if what they can get (is it a loss or a profit?).

But for me, I can only feel fun in the actual gambling or the ones that we do in a casino. I think that gambling is still a kind of investment because you are investing or putting your money here. And you are also investing/putting your time here. There are meme coins who had a utility but it seems not enough for them to be successful. Some meme coins like DOGE and SHIB can still work fine as a currency. Though they are only centralized as you said.
537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 17, 2024, 04:26:23 PM
After the Test series between Pakistan and Australia that ended a few days ago, the Test match between West Indies and Australia has started. Pakistan lost the Test series and West Indies are following the same path against Australia. West Indies were all out for 188 in the first innings and at the end of the first day so far Australia have collected 59 for 2 but Australia are trailing by 159 runs so far. But it is true that if Australia can bat in the first innings and give a lead of 200 runs then there is definitely a possibility that Australia will lose by an innings.
We currently have three best test playing countries Australia, England and India with we need some improvement in South Africa, Pakistan and New Zealand but things are not going as they needed which is leading this format into trouble, but there is no doubt still we have good potential, and we can expect good matches with exciting results even this current Australian season is not ideal as they look for because of poor quality of Pakistan and now West Indies which is surely not good for future of test cricket.

After end of the first day play, Australia having advantage and most chances they will win this match quickly and with big margin because West Indies' batting is also not good compared to recently concluded Pakistan series which is because of lack of strong domestic system, but sadly things are not going as West Indies needed.
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasoning before investing can save you from lose on: January 17, 2024, 01:01:23 PM
Of course, investing in something without thinking is incredibly stupid. You should not give in to feelings that can deceive you, any deception of your attention can lead to the loss of your funds, you should always remember this. Most likely, everyone has had a sad experience, and this strengthens them and prevents them from making mistakes in the future, beginners, unfortunately, pay little attention to this.
You said that a sad experience can shape a person. So why worry about the beginners? But, I believe not all beginners are careless. There is still no way though to prevent future mistakes even not on the same thing. Those who invest without needing to think a lot were maybe already confident about the assets that they are going to pick? Take BTC for example. When someone hears it, they automatically think about getting wealthy.

Yes, it's deceiving but in a good way, I guess? We should only learn about the basics of it though, if in case we do not know them yet. It shouldn't take a lot of time, so it's not something that someone will ignore.
539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing Bitcoin price history is important on: January 17, 2024, 10:49:34 AM
It doesn't need a lot of effort to figure out BTC goes up in the lock term. The proper question would be what makes it go up. And I tell you, this is not on the charts.

I can draw any line, curve, or put up random indicators on charts to prove my point. But in the end it will only go up or down because of the fundamentals. Issuance. Halving. Supply and demand. This kinda boring stuff.
On the contrary, it requires a huge amount of effort to achieve a positive result.

If this is some kind of boring thing for you, then the process of analytical work is not suitable for you. It may be that you should look for something else rather than go into investment activity. To each his own in this world. Many people don’t want to deal with all this, because they simply have neither the time nor the desire for it. This is the lot of a very limited number of people, of whom there are only a few percent on this planet, but they have almost all the money. How do you like this arrangement? Still haven't changed your mind?
There are a lot of people whose character doesn't allow them to grind analysing work, which is understandable, that doesn't mean that they are incapable people, they might be just capable of anything else. I have seen people who are terrible at what I do, save lives , seriously, that seems like a lot better situation, a surgeon that I know, has absolutely no clue how my job is done, I rather be like him than me though.

This means that this work is not that important, it makes you rich if you are right and good, but it is not like saving lives. So, if you are a person who is incapable of doing this, that doesn't mean that we are not going to really end up with anything major, it should be considered normal and not that big of a deal.
540  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin [BTC] Price Could Reach $1.5 Million by 2030 Says Cathie Wood on: January 17, 2024, 10:32:44 AM
This isn't the first time I'm hearing of this Cathie Wood's Bitcoin price prediction, all we are doing is speculation, including her price forecast and this is not new in the crypto space, seeing people predict whatsoever prices they think Bitcoin would reach in the future. However,  Bitcoin will always do whatever thing that it wants to in its price regardless of any price predictions out there, 1.5 million per coin, above or below and only time will tell, From my perspective, going on Bitcoin will definitely continue to experience an overwhelming increase in the price .
Well, this is the "speculation" part of the forum, so it's normal that people would talk about speculation. Not that I think it's wrong, I do believe that it's quite right and that should not be all that different or difficult to handle neither. I believe that we need to consider this situation to be as good as it gets, we should be considering the fact that we are dealing with a problem that doesn't really exists, we do not really end up thinking that this would be all that easy.

I hope that Cathie Wood is right, I believe it is possible and we are talking about six years down the line so it is not like it is anytime soon neither, we are talking about a period that would not be all that simple to handle and should be considered a big deal.
