841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top altcoin that you won't buy anymore on: October 22, 2023, 09:33:33 AM
For now, im only buying Bítcoin and not buying any top coin anymore till further notice unless i need them for fees to buy lowcap coins. Ive even swapped some of Top coins on Bitget swap to Bitcoin. With all the recent good news around Bitcoin, I couldn't resist doing that.
So you think Bitcoin is not a top coin? Cheesy. Don't worry I still got your point there. Wink. Any other top coin is like BTC. I mean if you think it's the best time now to buy a BTC then you should also do that to them because they are probably in dip too, as it's known that almost all coins depend on its movement. Don't under-estimate them and use them only as a fee to buy a low-cap coin.

It looks like low-cap coins are more superior to them which is false but in fact low-cap coins are the ones that are much riskier and must be avoided. There is no good news yet on Bitcoin. Maybe the one that you hear are only those fake news. Beware and always double-check them next time.
842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The zeal to invest in speculative asset on: October 21, 2023, 03:29:00 PM
I will advise you to look more carefully and make your currency selection. Centering your advice and description on the benefits of holding a crypto asset across all crypto currencies is very risky and dangerous because there are a lot of scam crypto currencies out there that should be avoided and not used as a choice of investment in any way.

Investing in crypto currency when you take the right steps by investing right now is a good thing, and it always turns out to be profitable when it's held over a long period of time, allowing the assets to add value as their demands increase.

Investing in gold and other valuable resources is also acceptable. The value might not add up really quickly or it might remain stable in a particular place, but it's better than investing in an altcoin that will turn out to be lavish and wasteful or that hard-earned capital one tries so hard to gather.
His forum rank might only be a newbie but it looks like he knows what he is talkin about. And take note, he is the one that is giving an advice here, not the one who ask for it. What you said here can still be a good addition to what he have said and other newbies who are not aware of these can learn to it.

I think there is a million plus number of cryptos right now so indeed that it's ridiculous to invest all of them even if we say that all of them profitable because how can you be able to handle them all? There are rankings that are made and it measures how each crypto performs. To save time and effort, we can just pick the top-performing cryptos.
843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Inspiring Projects Shaping the Future on: October 21, 2023, 02:58:30 PM
New projects are not supposed to be boring because we are talking about economic projects whose role is to improve the nature of money and the ability to distribute it, and there is no central party that controls or can cancel or reverse its transactions, which is possible in most alternative currencies, but the expansion of currencies into areas that are not directly related to them, such as storing images. Or video clips, or even trying to send messages on it.
Yes and if they are boring, no one will ever get interested on them because there were lots of existing projects already and each of them has an interesting feature. But I think most are not decentralized. Despite of it, many people seem to not care at all. Cryptos have gone too far and there are now those so-called " expansions " you said which are also known as NFT's. This is great to witness but as expected there are also those scams. I only feel sorry for those who lost big money on them but it might also be their fault for not taking precautions.

The important areas that most projects lack and look for are privacy, scalability, how to add more users without affecting fees, and decentralization.
Agree on most of them but not scalability. Can't you see, there are now bunch of L1 and L2 projects? There are also ZK but IDK if they are different. All I know is they solve scalability issues.
844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Lump sum Vs DCA" for Bitcoin Accumulation on: October 21, 2023, 11:03:33 AM
I would go with the lump-sum, assuming you mean a big amount when the price drops. That once held for long gives you enough price to sell at a decent profit. This means that instead of buying every month in DCA you buy once every 4-6months during a bear market and you sell like that in a bull market. Use the profit to buy back at the next bear market and continue to multiply your money.

This needs patience and by that I mean a lot of it. Fortunately I can do that because I have other sources of income. So that cushioning is needed for anyone attempting this method.
I will also do the same thing if I notice a considerable drop in price and also have the money to buy. I don't really see any need stressing myself with calculations and turning up weekly or monthly to buy Bitcoin when I can just put in the lump sum and focus on other things.

DCA method should be for those who do not have huge amount of money to buy at once but have regular income like salary; part of this regular income can be converted into Bitcoin through the DCA method.
Well if you see a considerable drop then it is of course smarter to go in lump sum so that you would take advantage of the situation, however I believe that DCA could be better for the long term, because price doesn't drop all the time at all times, sometimes it does drop and lump sum makes sense only during those times, in other times that doesn't really make sense.

Of course it's your decision and you can do whatever you want with it, if you want to go all in then you can go all in, if you do not want to go all in then you do not have to. Me personally, I prefer going with just purchase first of every month when I get my salary, I put 10% of my salary into bitcoin every single month (if I can) and that makes it better, no matter what the price is.
845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me altcoin to DCA till halving on: October 21, 2023, 09:34:00 AM
I am afraid , that before bull run such coin might have problems. I don't want coins above $100, so that it will be possible to run on good profits if the investment works.
Dogecoin doesn't look like it has any challenge or problem and that is not going to happen before the bitcoin halving. So to invest in dogecoin may be profitable and the price is quite good @ $0.059 from CMC. However, you have to DYOR but base on what you are asking for, I think that will also help your enquiry.
It's quite refreshing seeing a hero member to recommend a meme coin although it's not an any other meme coin but it was the first one and currently at the top. DOGE coin actually has a challenge or a problem and that is it mainly relies on the manipulation. Currently it was Elon Musk who is known to be the main controller of the coin.

DOGE coin might only be very cheap and is qualified on the budget of the OP but low price isn't all. OP should change this as a criterion for picking a coin. BTC might be expensive crypto right now, but we are not forced to buy a whole of it if we lack in budget. The small money we can allocate for investing is always enough to get some portion of it.
846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoins have dropped at least 10x in this bear market and will easily 10x on: October 21, 2023, 08:32:34 AM
It's really hard to predict. I meant just because the coin has dropped 10x and it doesn't mean this coin will regain 10x during the bearish market. The thing may be different than it. Let's said that if bitcoin would be doubled or tripled after halving. I think that the possible target for solana to reach around 3 - 4 times from its bottom price. It's caused by there have been also many factors were affecting the hype from the coin. Solana was not as big as before caused by we have too many L1 blockchain exist in the market.
Yeah, we are not time travelers here and we shouldn't also buy any cheap coins just because the main rule of investing is to buy low. I guess the only thing that we can do is to rely on statistics of the coin or its past performance. A good coin will definitely have a good record as well but a meme coin and the likes won't likely have a record like that. This is why they are not recommended for long-term holding.

In the case of Solana, I don't think it was the L1 Blockchains alone are the reason for its downfall. Maybe you are forgetting the fact that it was involved before in the FTX scandal? Or even up to now. So, I don't think it will join the rally once the halving occurs.
847  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dump market potential? on: October 21, 2023, 08:04:39 AM
But macro news can affect the bull season, I mean it can cause the bull season to happen later.  furthermore, the effects of war and inflation are completely different from the impact of a pandemic on bitcoin.  during the pandemic, everything became chaotic but the government supported the economy by printing and pumping money, the flow of money into financial markets caused them to increase in price massively, not just bitcoin.  meanwhile, war and inflation are causing a terrible crisis for the economy, causing many difficulties.  so it cannot be said that their impact on bitcoin is the same.

But in the long run, you're right, the bull season may be delayed but it will still come after all the bad stuff is over.
This is why patience pays off, and the exciting part comes later.

It's still in the accumulation phase. I'm ready for a bit of boredom because I'm quite convinced that the bull market will happen later. Those who are still thinking in bear market terms might miss out. Sentiment plays a significant role, and all of this can impact the bull market. It's possible that we might experience the longest bear market in Bitcoin's history.
That "boredom" part where it doesn't go up but it doesn't go down neither is the perfect spot to buy more bitcoin and a lot of people miss that part. I think it's crucially important that people end up buying during the stable periods so that they could profit when it goes higher, and yes I understand that not everyone does that but they should seriously consider it.

I may not be involved with any sellers and do not know why they are selling, but I do not think that any seller would have a good reason to sell right now, if they hold some more they would make more money, the only logical reason would be paying for something that they have to pay for an urgent expense. All in all crypto prices looking good and should be starting a bull run.
848  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin current range: $25K to $32K on: October 21, 2023, 06:42:31 AM
Breaking to $30K today in a matter of hours seemed like a bluff that shocked those who didn't believe that Bitcoin was headed for a bull market.
It's still available for about 11 days left in October and I hope it can be the new support price until the end of the year even though it's just a hope. At least I want the graph to be able to move sideways if it can't go up rather than down to below $29K.
From all indication, the bull run is upon us. History might just be getting set to repeat itself. Well, it is too early to conclude, but the market has shown great reluctance to go lower.

Indeed, coming weeks will really show the face of where we are going and I am optimistic we are on the right track. The moment the $32k resistance is shattered, the coast is clear for a decent sail towards the north.
I think market not allowing to go any further down was the breaking point, we got stuck at around 28k levels for a long time and the market probably tried to go down but it didn't, which basically told all the sellers that you shouldn't sell at this point because we are not going any further down and that would be a bad move to sell at the bottom. So that resulted with market realizing they have to end up buying, or at least not selling since it is not going down that's the only options that makes sense. This resulted with price going a little higher and I am hoping that it will continue to go higher.

I wouldn't even say 25k is in the range anymore, we haven't been 25k for a long time and there is a slight possibility that we may never see that ever again, just like how we didn't see anything under 10k for years now, 25k might be long gone and never coming back. That's of course too soon to tell, we need to wait a bit longer to make sure that's true.
849  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance Founder CZ said that, Copy trading now live on Binance. on: October 20, 2023, 09:19:00 AM
Like what I've said on my old post about this topic.

Copy trading is also a high risk high reward kind of thing, because if your fund didn't match to the fund of the trader you copy and his trade is with a cross margin, there's a chance you'll be bankrupt if you're not aware of such thing. Also, not all of the trades of the trader you will follow will give you profit every single time, so there's also a chance that you're gonna lose more than make a profit since your funds is much smaller to the trader you copy.
Nice information you got there mate. I didn't new that size of the capital matters too when it comes to copy trading. I don't know if this is also possible but I'm thinking that the trader that we follow can intentionally make a bad trade for the people who depend on their backs lose. There may be a benefit for doing this. It's some kind of a manipulation.

I guess these reasons are now enough to scare someone of doing copy trades. It is still better if we can only depend on our own ability. Other than being safe from a lot of risks, we can also be proud our selves no matter what the results are but especially if the results are positive, because we are getting close to mastering trading.
850  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know When to Stop. Lesson for Everyone, Particularly Investors on: October 20, 2023, 07:03:59 AM
I think we all know the problem you describe here. The less concentrated or the more pressure behind the trade ("this must work now!!") the worse the result usually is.

As a small tip: A bot is never unfocused. It has helped me a lot to have my strategies executed by a bot, the only lack of concentration can happen here when setting up the bot, but this error is usually noticed very quickly - and is also very easily corrected.
I used an open source bot that just ran on my Raspberry Pi, but now there are plenty of free online hosted bots that work even better.
Yeah, as it is a common one. You mentioned " less concentrated and more pressure " but if one of them is present, the other will also be experienced. So, we need to combat at least one them to be able to improve our trading performances. You drop a nice tip there. Not only that bot can focus on their craft, they also don't have an emotion. So, whatever movement they see in the market (up and down) they can always carry on.

It only boils down to the strategy that we inject on them and like you said if how focused we are on setting it up. It's important because one mistake can mess up with all of the capital that we allocate on them. I usually prefer my own configuration but if we think someone else is better then why not use them instead?
851  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to learn trading? on: October 20, 2023, 06:15:15 AM
Learning trading would really be entirely be depending on someones dedication and perseverance on learning it because if you dont have that passion and seriousness about learning it then there's no way that you could really be able to do it on a few months but might be taking up years depending or basing up with someones realization and learning curve. If you are that someone who do prefer on having a mentor then its your choice
but actually you could really be able to learn trading for yourself without the need of those yet every sources and information could really be searched on online. It would really just that matter of effort and time
spending on how to deal up with things. It is really just that majority of people would really be that so lazy on trying to search up things and instead they would really be that too reliant with others.

Key thing on here is that you should really not make yourself put up a in a rush in speaking about learning things because this would really be causing those errors and mistakes
on which you should really be avoiding because once you do have that kind of feeling of rushing things up then you are really that prone into those mistakes
which arent really that suggested on the time that you are really that still trying to grasps on everything.
I would say it zeros back to nothing eventually. I have seen my wife trying to learn drawing on a pad for the past 3 months or so, even a little more, I bought her that pad so that she could draw and ignore the health issues she would have, and truth be told she did draw almost everyday for the first 2 weeks, but after that she started to draw maybe once ever two weeks, so that would make it like about 6-7 times in the last 2.5 months.

I could easily say that every time she picks up, she doesn't improve but just stays the same level because she has to keep remembering what she learned each time, because there are so many breaks in between, and that makes her not improve a bit. Trading is similar, if you "learn" once every two weeks, you are going to forget about what you last learned, and you will have to refresh your memory first and try to put something on top of it again and you will not move fast. You need to be studying everyday to have substantial improvement.
852  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Common mistakes by unskilled traders on: October 19, 2023, 06:48:05 PM
Basically trading is very risky because the nature of the market is very volatile and anyone will not be able to predict with 100% accuracy, even those who are experienced still have difficulty. Losses will always be there, and I am sure you will not want to continue to experience losses, well so the only way to reduce the amount of loss is to learn a lot about something that can make you lose and avoid it. So you will be able to get profits consistently but with a lower level of loss because you always learn to be better.
Market may be volatile but the frequency are I think can also depend on the coin that we choose. As you said, losses are always there, therefore don't say that we can avoid it. The first one that you said which is to reduce the loss is already okay.

Yes, no one wants to lose continuously, that sucks. I'd rather donate my money to the charity than lose it for nothing. I know, we can gain an experience but it's useless if we are not improving. In trading, consistent profits for a long period of time is not possible but it's fine, as our losses in some days can still be compensated by our profitable days. Traders who are like this are already pro or skillful but if they can learn more and improve more, why not?
853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is this? on: October 19, 2023, 06:04:51 PM
There are many projects like these out there, and I haven't been interested in such projects for a long time. They simply sell tokens with promises, and investors may end up trading their money for worthless tokens.
IDK if the project the OP is talkin about is a scam or not but it's great to hear those words from you despite being a newbie. It shows that you don't easily trust a random project that just pop up in the corner like a mushroom. I thought all newbies are only about being a shill.

For us to be sure if a project is worthy or not, we should always do our research first. It's only free of cost. It's just that it can only take some of our precious time which others may not like because they are either lazy or busy but they shouldn't gamble instead. It would be better if they will only invest their money in the good and well-known coins because their chance for them to profit are always high on those coins.
854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where to invest 7k usdt on: October 19, 2023, 05:19:40 PM
Where to invest 7k usdt

To get profit daily 30$
you posted in Bitcoin section so I assume that you are aiming to put this into bitcoin but since you wanted to see a 30$ daily income then there is a problem here.
looks like you are into altcoins?
but if you are willing to wait for at least a year then yes invest in bitcoin and check back in 2024 if how much gains , maybe you will not only earn a ratio of 30$ a day instead more and more.
Maybe that was before but now I see that the thread is in altcoin speculation. If he mean it in Bitcoin section, then he shouldn't say " where to invest " because Bitcoin is only one while there are different types of altcoins. For now, we can just assume that he was also lookin for an altcoin. He also said that he wants a daily 30-dollar return but I don't think any crypto can provide that because almost all of them are volatile or unstable though we can utilize it if we do trading (not investing).

But in investing, all must be willing to wait because this is the only way for them to earn here. BTC isn't also the only good coin that we can pick. Lastly, there is no guarantee that it will pump next year. I think it's best to not assume too much and just wait whatever the market throws at you.
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: October 19, 2023, 11:26:39 AM
Playing something even if it's not gambling during work hours is definitely the best possible way to lose a job FAST. I don't really know why you get to ask these very weird questions. I mean, why would anyone in their sane mind will decide to just randomly gamble at their workplace? What difference will it make when you gamble at home? If you have a poor work ethic, quit the job and do something else that would make you money, then gamble to your heart's content.
The only game that we can play are the ones who came from the company or to our managers and bosses. Maybe there's also bosses and managers who are not strict enough and can allow us to do non-job related activities on our vacant time?

OP might only be bored at work, that is why he asked it or thinks it's a good idea to gamble during working hours. That is the difference of gambling at our workplace from our home. Another would be is ; it gives extra excitement because we may get caught out and get a violation. If he have a poor work ethic, maybe operating a business will fit better at him. The goodness of it is; he can play gambling anytime because he himself is the boss.
856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play equal to deposited funds before you can withdraw on: October 19, 2023, 10:46:23 AM
This is actually one of the most common things you will see in different gambling platforms. A wagering requirement is not something that will harm actual gamblers of the casino. It's in place to make sure that money laundering will not happen and that fraudsters will not use their platform for these kinds of things. If you're looking to use the casino as your personal mixer, then those days are over. If you deposit your money, best use it because that's the only reason why a person would deposit some money in the casino.
I'm with the OP not that I'm a money launderer and it's better to not judge easily if we don't know the people and we don't have much evidence. My reason BTW is because I like to withdraw immediately once I already won some money. It's a safe way for me to play gambling but I can not do that anymore because of these new rules made by the casino.

If someone wants to launder money, casino isn't the only way or the best place for doing that but there are already mixing services even before. They can always go on it. Now will you still say that a wagering requirement won't harm the gambler? No it's not true but it was actually for the sake of the casino so that their services won't get shut down by the regulators.
857  Economy / Economics / Re: These are the top 100 brands by value in 2023 on: October 19, 2023, 10:15:50 AM
Amazon deserves to be the first because they are a sales giant since I was in school, the thing that makes Amazon the best because they always keep up with the times and are supported by a solid and strong team of analysts, a very pleasant experience if one day I can work at a top company that world.
So, what was your current academic stage now? College? If you're already graduated from it then it was impressive on how Amazon retain their position because usually most companies who will rank at first are then failing after a short period of time. Amazon proves that they are consistent and they are trying their best from time to time because they are aware that many companies around are also doing it.

I see that you have great ambition there and that is to join their team. Just want to say that don't stop dreaming but you better do your best to on your studies and improving your skills. If you think you already got what it takes, try to get in touch with them. Good luck buddy.
858  Economy / Economics / Re: Cracking the Code of Saving Money... on: October 19, 2023, 07:04:29 AM
Kill the spirit of spending your money anyhow, and it will be very easy for you to save any amount of money you want to save in a year that will make you a better investors in the future. We know is not easy to save huge amount of money these days, because of the heavy inflation that is affecting the global economy and is causing the price of commodities to increase daily in the market and is not encouraging citizens to save their money the way they use to saved in the past when the global economy was very good. If you are working in an organization, you can divide your salary into two, and use one part for food items include house rent, children school fees and other things and save the remaining half for future purpose.
It's hard to save huge amount but small amounts are easy. We shouldn't underestimate it because it can still grow big later on. Inflation affects the value of our money or our savings but I think we shouldn't mind it first if we didn't know yet on how to discipline ourselves to save. If you do already, you can choose to put most of your savings in some valuable assets as they help combat the inflation. Inflation affecting the price of a commodity can be a good thing because we can buy them cheaply.

We can HODL them and wait for their price to recover before we can sell them for profits. Actually if you are already saving in the past, the more you will be encouraged of doing it now. Whether working on an organization or not, the tips that you said about handling our salary is always possible for a person who is willing.
859  Economy / Economics / Re: Isreal and Palestine war and losing your wallet phrase and password on: October 19, 2023, 06:18:30 AM
Have you consider that you lose all your coins because the wallet phrase to your coins and PC burn in a war.
So what will you do if you survive after the war to start back your financial struggling and your crypto investment journey. Or can you get the coins back?
I've actually thought about this, though it's not an effective storing technique but I'm left with no choice since I'm constantly on the run for my life. Storing my seed phrase on a piece of paper or metallic steel plate may not be ideal at this point as it could be destroyed. I know I don't support storing of seed phrase electronically but if I happen to be in a country where there's war, I would save it in a cloud storage and if I make it through the war and everything returns back to normalcy. I would look for a computer or phone and access my funds. If it's still in intact, I would create a new wallet, transfer my funds to the wallet and keep my seed phrase offline.
I feel like putting it online is not as terrible as people make it out to be, a lot of people act as if that would be the worst thing ever but that is not the case in most times. Just put your money online and you will be able to get it anywhere.

Sure, if you have a normal life that you do not have to run all the time then you can do whatever with other stuff, but that is not the case for others. Have something that you can reach via your mobile phone, and store it online and you can take your mobile phone with you everywhere, and even if you do not have your own mobile phone, you can find another one eventually and use that to download the app and log back in and get it.

If you can't even do that then it means you are not in a situation that you can consider bitcoin anyway, that is too late. Those type of online results are the best during that type of period, plenty of Ukrainians did it and it was a smart move to cross the border without anything on them and still had money anyway.
860  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you find yourself doing unnecessary purchases when there is plenty.. on: October 18, 2023, 07:40:50 PM
I do this time to time. But not frequently. I have been facing this problem to save money. I don't know why but I'm on able to save money when I have decided it multiple times. I have acted on it and did save some and the past. But after sometimes when there's something new on the market that I have wanted for a long time, I will spend that money regardless. I have thought about investment, but as I said I am able to keep money in my hands. So in the end I'm just left with nothing. And I have suffered a lot.
I'm searching for a solution. Sorry to say it here. But I'm looking for solutions to. I am open to any kind of suggestions. Feel free to give me any kind of advice.
It's just life man, life sometimes doesn't let you end up with money at all and you end up with trouble, there isn't much we can do about it and just have to agree that it's not going to happen in any other case, it's just how it works. I believe that we need to realize that we are not going to end up with anything that is decent or anything that is scary, we just have to end up with something that would be as much as we can do so that would live decently.

I personally prefer that we could end up with a situation that would be as decent as it gets and that's how the situation goes on. I get that sometimes we can fail, but all we can do is keep trying and just move on with life, just try and keep trying that's more than enough.
