1361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto;Bitcoin on: June 12, 2023, 01:18:09 PM
In fact, any cryptocurrency is tied to bitcoin, so I don’t see much difference here. I think many people understand this.
What you're stating, in my opinion, is that the majority of cryptocurrencies depend on Bitcoin. I concur with you if that's what you mean. According to what we can observe in the market, whenever the price of Bitcoin takes an impulsive downward move, altcoins will follow. In other words, there won't be any altcoins if there isn't any Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is the king no doubt but we must also thank altcoins as they provide some features which Bitcoin lacks. We can diversify our funds on those alts which has a better use case like the ones you said because they will surely get a demand as well from other users and that makes it value grows. Most of the times the altcoin movement depends on Bitcoin but sometimes they can also go on its own.

There's also new alts who are independent for a while. That's right that if there is no Bitcoin, there will also be no altcoin because those altcoin developers won't get an idea but I think if BTC has more capabilities, alts won't also be a thing or let say there will still be alts but BTC will get most of the demand.
1362  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to Hodl or buy the Dip? on: June 12, 2023, 06:10:19 AM
I have been a long term holder and I can confirm this. All those ups and downs are just a story down my memory lane and nothing more. It doesn't matter what it is today until I sell it, and I am not planning on selling anytime soon, which means that we are not going to see it do so great, it might do some good at certain levels but that doesn't mean that it will matter for me.

So all in all what matters the most is the fact that we will be seeing it move and I do enjoy seeing that, I still do participate in the chatting of it and that's why it matters to me. I know that not a lot of people will make a big difference in the end, but as long as it is there and I can see the movements that will be a reason to just keep chatting about it.
Long term holders are not having trouble during this period, it is not that it is not a good idea but it is obvious that you are going to get a great time when it is going to go back up, it has been nearly 2 years since the last ATH and that's why many people are already out, if you are still holding after all that time then these movements means nothing to you and any long term holder.

However, people who are traders may end up with some acting movements, like they may want to act on this drop, and buy/sell based on the situation. I know it is not that easy but it is seriously the number one thing you could possibly do, it definitely helps you out a lot. I know that it doesn't mean that one is right and the other is wrong, it is just not that simple.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 12, 2023, 06:08:24 AM
Tottenham Hotspur's main issue is winning trophies; they will be at their best and still fail to win a single prize. Even the club's past managers, Anthonio Conte and Jose Mourinho, failed, so I can't think of any coach that is capable of saving the club because it's apparent that the problem stems from the boards and the players. I don't see any compelling reason why Tottenham Hotspur should have one of the best strikers in the English Premier League and still struggle to win a trophy. Harry Kane is the club's all-time leading scorer, and while he has not made his personal objectives public, I believe it is high time he tries a new chapter somewhere else.
The lack of trophies for Spurs feels like a curse that has lasted many years with different managers leading to them getting sacked as a result of poor performances and poor results including some of the best coaches in the game. They can only hope it becomes different with the new manager taking over from Antonio Conte but this season will be a tough one.
Yeah, their desire for the trophies are going to be tougher with competition is increased and things are looking not easy many clubs are having big investments which are going to help them for having better results but here Tottenham is surely also needs change into their strategy and finances as well if they want to win trophy specially after end of Antonio Conte it's looking more hard for them to have any positive result in near future and if they lost Harry Kane which is looking possible than it's end of hopes.

We have clubs like Leicester City and West Ham those won trophies, but Tottenham is surely far better but sadly never been lucky in this way for having trophies into their bucket which are surely they deserved after having many good years in Premier League.
1364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 11, 2023, 08:06:39 PM
Australian bowlers bowled very well. Lyon and Boland's bowling in particular was excellent. But my expectations from the Indian batsmen in this match were much higher. Because a few days ago they performed in IPL. After the IPL is over, the players are usually in a good mood. But every Indian batsman played very badly in this match. Ajinkya Rahane was the only batsman who managed to bat slightly better in both innings. Besides, no other batsman on the team was able to bat well. But I would not say that the performance of the bowlers was too bad.
Most of the Indian fans were expecting better performance than this, but sadly things were gone in wrong way for the batting, and they lost this match badly which is surely not good thing for the fans because after having good record against Australia fans were expecting better performance and fighting end of this final but they all bundle out cheaply and give another final badly as well.

Yesterday when we have Kohli and Rahane at crease many were expecting better start of the day and specially good batting from Kohli, but Boland one over break many hearts and give Australia easy win after dominating throughout all five days in second inning bowlers were good, but batting were not good in both innings.
1365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are giving too much importance to exchanges on: June 11, 2023, 09:46:09 AM
Your viewpoint does carry weight; it's true that trusting centralized exchanges entirely could potentially be risky. However, let's not neglect that these platforms have catalyzed the crypto revolution for the common man. For many, exchanges like Binance have been the gateway to the world of crypto, simplifying the process of buying, selling, and holding digital assets.

Yet, I agree that complete reliance on such platforms for asset security could be a bit naive. The mantra in crypto circles, "Not your keys, not your coins," still rings true. An ideal approach might involve using hardware wallets or other self-custodial solutions, along with exchanges.

As for the FUD impacting Bitcoin prices, I concur that emotional trading often leads to volatility. In such scenarios, the classic advice of HODLing (Hold On for Dear Life) seems most apt, don't you think?
I agree, Binance deserved all the power they got and that's why it should be considered as a great thing, there is nothing that shows they have done anything bad for the crypto world. Yes they are as powerful as an exchange could get but that doesn't mean that they did anything wrong, they are quite alright with what they have done so far.

I know that people are worried about what they are going to do when it is not that easy to handle, but that doesn't mean that it is not going to be simple neither, it is going to be quite tough for Binance as well. When you consider them as the biggest exchange ever to exist, do you think that's an easy thing to do? They deserve it because they managed to handle being that big without hurting anyone or doing anything wrong.
1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunter is considered as investors with a big patience. on: June 11, 2023, 08:46:10 AM
bounty projects are getting smaller and smaller prizes allocated to bounty hunters BUSD,USDT, and even then they are rare. when there is a project that looks good with equal token allocation while the distribution or less certain is just a waste of time. this is an option and I also have to do some research before joining the bounty, on the other hand there is still hope for airdrops.
I think it is quite important to realize that we shouldn't be really considering bounties as a big deal, I think it is quite important to find other sources of income but at the same time it doesn't take hours and hours to participate so unless you are spending money on it (which you shouldn't by logic) then doing it is not really that terrible. For example there are bounties on this forum, if you can't find one that pays btc or stablecoins, then instead of zero, just participating in a bounty is not that bad.

Sure, there is a high chance you will not get paid, or even if you do then it will be a token that doesn't worth anything, but even with all that in mind I feel like it compared to doing nothing at all, this is still a better thing for sure.
1367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding cryptocurrencies and investment. on: June 11, 2023, 05:59:04 AM
For investment purpose, two ways are available. Firstly, best coin means large volume with top marketcap and You'll find those crypto-currencies from top like bitcoin, etherium and others. You can invest with those when you wish. Bedsides investors investigate and fine some coin which are good according to their own view. So they purchased those coin during tokensale or during bearish market with cheap
I think there are some of them who are not really "there", it looks like they will be great but most of the time it is not going to end up being that good. I think it is going to be a big deal when it comes to it and I feel like we should be considering this as a big deal. I think it is quite important to realize that marketcap could be high for some hyped thing and then it will go back up as well that's the key point here.

For example, I believe doge is hyped and it doesn't deserve to be as high as it is right now and yet it is, which means that it is not going to be that easy, we just need to realize it is going to be a bit of a trouble when you see those as high ranked, so be careful even with the high ranks and see if they are hyped or not.
1368  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: One or more trading strategies, which one do you prefer? on: June 10, 2023, 04:14:14 PM
It is dangerous to rely entirely on one method. Markets are dynamic and ever-changing, and a strategy that works well in one market scenario may not work as well in another. Traders might possibly profit from diversification and lessen their reliance on any particular technique by mixing various tactics. Furthermore, as you indicated in your experience, combining methods might aid in better filtering trade signals. When different techniques corroborate the same signal, it can boost the trader's confidence and raise the likelihood of success.
This is why you should have a lot of stuff and not just one, because if you have only one then you are not going to end up with anything proper. People end up with something that they make a profit once and they think they should keep doing that for a long time but that doesn't mean that they will, it is not going to work that way.

I feel like it would be smarter if you ended up with anything at all then you shouldn't really be worried about it, just focus on what you can do with what you have and you should be fine about it. If people see a profit, they insist on the same thing over and over again, I believe that's the trouble and that should not be the case at all, people should avoid that, just because you made a profit once, doesn't mean it will go on forever.
1369  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management on: June 10, 2023, 12:34:40 PM
Don't risk too much money, start with what you can afford to risk. Focus on the risk not rewards.
Yes I also think we don't need to risk much money in the first place. We should take less risk than we can afford. Because the risk of excess money can bring bad things for you. And those of us who think that we can make profit only by trading, thinking about the amount of money we have and managing some more money, should be careful because trading will never guarantee you profit.
First we should make sure that we don’t make any losses. If at the beginning we think about profits, then there is huge possibilities that we end up making losses. If instead of this, we try to focus on how to not get loss, then definitely this will slowly turn this into profits. And as we know, the less risk we take, the less profits also we get. So accordingly manage the risk according to our needs. Always trade the amount that you can afford to lose.
I think taking a risk is a good thing in the crypto market but that depends on how much risk you are taking. Buying pepe instead of bitcoin is a risk, is it a good risk? I do not think so, buying bitcoin with all you have is a risk, but does it worth not being able to pay your bills? I do not think so.

When you are taking a risk, you always need to consider what could go wrong and that's the most important part, some people take risks and they do fine, some people take risks and they do terribly and I feel like that's the risk management we are talking about. Manage your risks to a level where it is not that terrible, if you are doing fine then you should be doing fine but if you are not doing fine then it will not be an easy thing at all.
1370  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your personal debt reduction method aside the debt snowball method? on: June 10, 2023, 08:14:39 AM
Prioritize paying debts based on the grace period because it's useless if you prioritize smaller debts but large debts are getting closer to the limit. In my opinion, everything has to be adjusted according to the order, if the time span is the same, when you face a fairly close time, what needs to be considered is that the debt is not in quantity or quantitative.

I agree with such methods, but they are not always effective for various types of debt. We will be demanded for one full payment so that is what needs to take precedence over methods.
I think the best method to pay the debt is always figuring out the lowest amount you could pay, if you can pay a lot less towards your credit card debt, then you pay that, not the whole thing, if you can postpone your loan 3 months then you postpone it, always pay as little as possible and never try to pay all of your debt.

Because inflation is reality and you would be able to make more money in the future, not too many people make less money next year compared to this year, almost everyone will make more, that's the traditional trajectory for working, you make more every year. I do, I make more every year due to inflation in my country, and I have A LOT of debt compared to last year, I have more debt than my entire salary compared to last year, but this year? My salary is a lot more due to rates and inflations so my debt is only half of my income not all of it.
1371  Economy / Economics / Re: US Advisory on Payment App Risks and Bitcoin’s Position as a Secure Alternative on: June 10, 2023, 07:06:34 AM
Truth can be covered but cannot be hidden forever. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is speaking the truth and it's great that it is coming from a US government agency. There is no difference between crypto exchanges and major payment platforms since both of them are not insured by the deposit insurance of the nation. Since you are not protected by any regulatory agencies it will be better to keep your investment safe by yourself which is called self-custody. You bear the risk of keeping your funds which is far better than delegating it to someone or an organisation.

The recent hack of the Estonia-based non-custodian wallet Atomic has brought awareness about using open-source wallets. Banks insure depositors fund against loss but they are not insured against inflation. Bitcoin stands out from the crowd because it is a currency, hedge against inflation and investment commodity.
I think it's quite important that this comes from the top because that means it will be doing something about it as well, at least it is coming from people who do suggest it to be as good as it gets. I know that it is not going to hurt anyone on the long run but that's how it will act for the time being.

Paypal and all the other payment companies managed to run without trouble for a long time now and they need to be held accountable for what they have done so far, they are doing something that would hurt most people who use their companies, a ton of people have been abused by paypals policies and nobody has done anything about it. The fact that they can freeze any account they see fit has to stop, that's one of the reasons why crypto is so much preferable when transferring money.
1372  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cz or the Sec who would you support? on: June 09, 2023, 06:08:05 PM
I'm still acting normal because CZ role is only as an exchange service provider, not to make us truly profitable. The noise that the SEC creates always destroys everything, prices in the market, stability of public trust and it all makes us realize that no one can be trusted to store assets other than private wallets.
Indirectly, we experience the positive impact of Binance, the number one cryptocurrency exchange according to CoinMarketCap. Even if you don't use it yourself, you still benefit from its existence because Binance strengthens the cryptocurrency community. The services provided by Binance are unquestionable and trusted by millions of people worldwide.

As for taking sides, since I have never favored the SEC, I support CZ in his quest to survive and soar high once again. The fact that he has proven his innocence is already good news for the crypto community and a blow to the SEC's reputation.
I agree, the fact that CZ has been doing a very fine job for all of us in the crypto world, even if we do not use Binance then we can use something else that he helped and that's very important. Too many people forget that CZ has a finger on all of crypto, even when he delists something that looks like a scam, other exchanges follow them and delist it most of the time, except a few small ones. All in all they are doing a good job and I would trust CZ with my money any day of the week.

This is why I keep a lot of my money at Binance instead of self custody as well, I do not trust myself as much as I trust CZ and binance. Which is why if you put CZ against SEC (or any other American organization), I would definitely support CZ without question.
1373  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason of why Bitcoin is good for trading (for me) on: June 09, 2023, 05:39:50 PM
First of all I'm not a real trader, but I like to trade to earn small amount profit.

I only use BTC/USDT pair because USDT make me easier to determine how much my coins worth after trade and most liquid stable coin, the reason why I choose BTC is I don't need to worry about it when my trading goes wrong. So if I bought Bitcoin at the peak and the price keep decreasing, I will not sell it, but I will wait for the next super cycle where Bitcoin usually break new ATH.

Keep in mind I never learn about chart, candlestick, trend etc, all of my decision come from my mood and instinct. No stop limit, no follow any signal, no watching my PC for 24/7 etc, just directly buy and sell.

Is there anyone like me here? Cheesy
That means you are using spot trade in trading BTCUSDT because despite buying at the peak your risk is very minimal despite a price reversal or retracement compared with when you are trading with Isolated or cross margin with a leverage of 3x and 5x or if you adopted future trading then you will need to worry about liquidation because of the high risk involved in trading, spot trading is  more or less like investing in Bitcoin and hodl that means for you to break-even after a price reversal you needed to wait till price turn bullish and pump till your entry price well it's a good strategy for any newbie without any knowledge of candlestick patterns.
I think that is still quite big movement, sure it is not going to collapse on itself and that's a good thing but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with zero neither, we are going to end up with a big movement. So when bitcoin moves 3%, you may move 30%, instead of losing all 100%, you are losing 30%, but at the same time instead of earning 100%, you are losing 30% as well.

These are the differences and that's why it matters. I still prefer regular old spot trading ,buy bitcoin and sell my fiat, and sell bitcoin to get fiat, that's it. These days it is mostly done with stablecoins of course but I can still do it with regular fiat as well if I want to, there is no need to put stable into it at all if I do not prefer to use it and just want to do regular fiat.
1374  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hi Im trader over 12 years of experince here is my goal on: June 09, 2023, 02:58:54 PM
...Since you said that you have 12 years of trading experience, did you ever made such money before ? If so , share the prove to us...

It's more like apart from the $7 that the OP saved on the school breakfast, he has nothing. If OP really was a successful trader, he would be able to make such a presentation here that everyone who saw it realized that OP really is a professional. He just thinks that we will believe his words.
I wouldn't want to be that hard on him, everyone has their dreams and sometimes it is not going to be realistic and it is not going to even make sense and maybe make you laugh, but don't do that on their faces Cheesy. It's normal for kids to think that the whole world is theirs and they can take over if they ever wanted to. I mean remember what happened when you were 15-20 years old? The whole world looked like it would be yours, and you could do anything you want.

I remember being "I will make the next facebook!" because at the time facebook was famous before 2010 when I was a kid, and today I am 30+ years old and look at myself as this kid, OP is the same, and I feel like it would be fun to just support them and let them grow themselves, it is only what we can do.
1375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management on: June 09, 2023, 01:35:30 PM
You may have the best profitable strategy and if you neglect your risk management, You definitely gonna end up getting screwed. Risk management is a very important aspect of our trading journey that we should take very serious before considering taking any trade, because managing of risks will keep you continue going in the trading business. From my personal experience some of the times I have tried doing more than I should do , basically not taking care of my risks, only me knew the price I paid for it.
Never you think that you can outsmart the market.
Such a true word, that is definitely the case without a doubt and that must be how it is most of the time. I believe that people are acting as if they are going to make something that matters but the reality is that strategy is only half of the topic. If you are not careful and if you are missing even one small thing, then you are going to take a lot more risk then you should.

This is why it's important to just focus on what you can do with what you have and not what you do not have. I know that people are focusing a lot more on making profit side, but they should start looking into not making a loss side as well. When you focus too much on the profit, you will not know what to do when the loss occurs and that will bankrupt all of your portfolio, always be ready for anything.
1376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promising altcoins? on: June 09, 2023, 11:36:05 AM
First two coin you mentioned ethereum and binance Coin will be most promising altcoins, even nobody will doubt. But the last one, XRP has Sec issue.  Some investors still have expectations surrounding xrp but i can't suggest any struggling altcoin which decreased  87% from its ath, since last five years. No profitable at all, so can't considered such coin as promising. Rather you Should go with some others potential altcoins
Many said that it might be difficult for XRP to return to ATH, apart from problems with the SEC, when reached ATH, XRP get support from McAffee who was shilling this coins together with XVG at that time CMIIW. If XRP community is still doesn't have trust about the future of XRP and the lack of influencers, maybe the rumor XRP is difficult to get to ATH could happens.
I think thats true though, XRP will not return to ATH ever again due to the fact that it's security and not a coin. People could act as if it is a coin, people could trade it like it's a coin, but it belongs to a company and that means it's not going to be a coin. Which company bitcoin belongs to? which one eth does? None of them are, BNB belongs to Binance and XRP belongs to Ripple, those are the biggest ones.

We should realize that this comes with a risk and Ripple has been at risk for years now, Binance is getting there too recently but it is not an American company so they could just seize operations at USA and continue, XRP on the other hand has so much network in USA that they make their profits there mostly. So, it is hard for it to go back to ATH again.
1377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a crypto project reliable and trustworthy ? on: June 09, 2023, 11:05:51 AM
I think Bitcoin is indeed the King of cryptocurrency, but that doesn’t mean altcoins are worthless. Some altcoins have innovative features, strong communities, and real-world use cases that make them trustworthy. For example, Ethereum is the platform for smart contracts and decentralized applications, Cardano is a scalable and eco-friendly blockchain, and Chainlink is a network for connecting blockchains with external data sources.
I think the difference between the altcoins is the thing that confuses a lot of people. ETH is considered an altcoin as well as Pepe, do you think that they are the same thing? Obviously not and this is why "invest into altcoin" could mean something so different in people.

I do invest into eth, and even bnb right now because I think it's undervalued after what has happened, but that doesn't mean that it's going to work, maybe I am wrong and maybe I will not make any difference at all but that doesn't mean that I will be able to just sit by and watch it go down when it shouldn't. In the end we are going to see it do well enough and maybe I will profit from it when the time comes and that's how I interpret investing into alts, not everybody seems like they would do something similar.
1378  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are your bitcoin May/June price analysis? on: June 09, 2023, 10:14:15 AM
in a situation like this, patience is really needed and I'm sure that for now there are not many idiots left who panic when the market goes down because so far, especially this year, the movement of Bitcoin prices has been quite stable between decreases and increases in prices.
to return to the price of 30k this June I am a little pessimistic, at the beginning of the month there was a continuous correction and even now the price is 26k and in my opinion until the end of the month the price will not change significantly and I think this June is the right time to buy.
I think it is not nice to call them idiots but unfortunately there are too many people who worry whenever there is a drop, that hasn't changed and I do not think that it will change anytime soon. People see bitcoin fall and they just sell. This isn't just the case in bitcoin, same goes for stocks as well, there are too many people who sell the exact same company whose shares they bought a few days ago, just because it went down.

The company is literally the same company but the price falls and they start selling as well. Bitcoin is quite similar, it is the same bitcoin that worth 68k and the same one that worth 16k a few months ago, and today it is where it is right now. This is why I believe that we shouldn't be really judging people but that doesn't mean that we should be caring about it.
1379  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price bouncing from 200 Week MA on: June 09, 2023, 09:20:41 AM
The 200 WMA meme "as solid support" is starting to falter as shown with how BTC went down below it with ease last year and stayed below it for months.  We haven't seen it happen before.  And now it's starting to look that it's going down below it again.  :/

I don't really know what's gonna happen but if BTC is to go sideways like I guess most of you think is gonna happen then going below it and staying below it for a couple of months or more is inevitable.
I think it is important to remember that what it will do and what it should do are different things. I mean it should be keeping that as a big support and it has been like that for a long time but the crypto price is something that can wildly move and it will not listen to what the market says sometimes. Even if none of us sell, there will be people whose shorts expire and sell which cashes out and drops the price, triggering all kinds of stop loss orders and selling points.

This is why we shouldn't really be worried about it all that much, it shouldn't be this low and it will recover and go back to what it was quickly. Just like how it went under 26k and then quickly went back above it again, that's how the market reacts when it does something it shouldn't have done.
1380  Economy / Speculation / Re: SEC Lawsuit Against Binance Is Likely To Hit Bitcoin Price on: June 09, 2023, 08:50:24 AM
Do you have any report or link to that wallet or transaction hashes to back the accusation that CZ and Binance inappropriately used user funds?

Cryptocurrency transactions are transparent and can be checked with public ledgers, except privacy coins like Monero. CZ and Binance don't use Monero to move most of their funds from hot to cold wallets, from exchange to personal wallets, it's what I believed.

But this information makes me curious and if you have more information to prove that CZ, Binance lied us and SEC are right, I am ready to discover it.
I think that question should be asked to SEC and not that user. I think it might be true, as in they have probably withdrawn money from the vaults of binance and used that for investing into other things. After all where else CZ could find money they could spend? It is not going to be that simple and we all know that they are going to end up with using binance money and that is alright because that's his money as well, who could tell him not to do that, it is his money and he can do whatever he wants.

Right now, if this is actually the case of course, they are going to see if he used our funds for it, or if he took out his own personal profits of the company from it. That's a very serious discussion considering their audit situation, if they can audit well, then it should be fine.
