1281  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need a book recommendation on: July 01, 2023, 09:50:24 AM
Hello everyone , I'am a beginner on crypto trading and i'am
looking for your recommendation on some essential books on how to trade/trading strategies (preferably on day trading), any of your recommendations would help, thank you.
To many books available online just search it on google and you can find a lot of books that can fit on your preferences which can help you a lot if you read also understand it. You can also add on your research to watch youtube videos since to many documentaries posted and you can enjoy it then be informed about the past event and other thing  that contribute to its growth.  Also be careful downloading article online because there might ve a malware that can compromise us.
Maybe he doesn't know how to use Google properly? I mean if what is the specific keywords that he will use to get the best results. That is why he just head straight on the forum but this place is much better than in Google. Google only indexed the relevant results from other sources but Bitcointalk is the direct source already for crypto information.

Documentaries are interesting to watch because they are mostly based on facts but I think they are less important. They can only wait once we are done with the main subject of crypto trading. About downloading files. It's indeed risky if you will just get it on random websites though you can always scan it using an anti-virus/malware software.
1282  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to use the Bear Flag pattern and what to look for? on: July 01, 2023, 08:56:00 AM
Yeah but in my opinion, some patterns need other indicators that support them sometimes it fails to use only pattern, especially in a lower timeframe you also don't want an ending like this image below.
Many times, the market moves oppositely to what it should move based on patterns which are used by most of market participants. If the market moves exactly like what most of us think, most of us will be rich. Many years, in all markets, most of people lose money and only very intelligent investors, traders get richer.

Don't trust patterns and indicators which are set up by Market Makers to help them richer and make us poorer. Focus on fundamentals and have a wide overview, long term plan are better.
The same thing when I play gambling and I'm expecting to win, I will only lose but by the time I play randomly and I forgot to think about winning a profit, I can win smoothly lol, why is that? But did you get what I am thinking? Maybe we should start thinking the opposite from now on when we trade and play gambling.

Let's see if we will make a profit this time. You said to focus on the fundamentals. Really? But I think many traders are focusing on technical too much and I still believe not many are losing because they are also wise and they don't just rely on others' pattern or signals. Another thing about relying on our own, is that we can avoid blaming other's in case we lose.
1283  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginners Should Follow These To Be A Good Price Predictor on: July 01, 2023, 06:11:00 AM
The Op's Compilation is good I do respect it, Information will be also helpful but as the dear above said this is one of those topics which is discussed many times many many times, even though I had done a basic trading series which is incomplete because people don't like reading much stuff, Videography and Charts & Images are more effective for this purpose. I will suggest starting critical topics, on the basis of queries, day-to-day asked questions, and current market developments, It will bring more responses.

The rest of the things are good as your compilation, I think it's enough to read properly still you can improve it by making it visually more pleasant using Bolding, Colors and different sizes, etc.
So, it seems I am correct that the OP's topic isn't new anymore? I noticed it after a few read but I need to verify it through the comments. Maybe the OP's intention is truly good like he only wants to help a newbie and not asking anything in return like getting some merits but still, it would be better if he learn to make a research first so that all are going to be cool with him.

Interesting on how you admit that you fail in trading simply because you don't like to read and maybe you didn't complete all the trading lessons? But, even if we use other learning materials, we can still be bore if our main goal is only to earn a quick buck and we lack in passion.
1284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be pulled by the hype of meme coins on: June 30, 2023, 07:04:02 PM
There are no differences between gambling & to invest in Meme Coin, because both of involved with high risks even you may lose everything, so don’t put large amount of money in such coins. Because it’s pretty rare to profit with meme coins investment, yeah that's right early investors can get profit in short time.
Unfortunately that is both true and yet both done by people anyways. I get that it is a terrible idea to keep on investing into these things knowing that it is not going to be profitable, because we are not really doing a good job right now. But to know that it is going to be done anyway and people will end up losing money in both of them anyway, it is really a terrible feeling.

People should be aware that they are not doing a good job and they should be ashamed to invest into any meme project. Sure there were a few people who made some profit from it, but it is such a rare thing and to be happy about it or to be benefiting from it s not a reasonable thing to approach, we should be considering it a bit differently and just stay away from them so we won't lose money.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: June 30, 2023, 12:56:52 PM
I feel like that's not really on him, he would be playing and not really be responsible for any of the loss they might get, Ronaldo played decently this world cup as well and after all the deal he had to go through with United that was normal that he didn't play like he used to but at least took Portugal to a point and that was good enough, I do not blame Ronaldo for any loss they had, and I applaud him for playing as well as he did at that age, most players are retired by that age and we discussed him being starting striker or not at that age, that's a talent.

Same goes for Messi, I think he will play too and no matter how "bad" he gets, he will still be better than anyone else as an option and he will not be responsible for their loss. These two players are the best players that ever played this game, I would never blame them.
Obviously these huge names are hard to replace, even if you get a young player who "may" replace these players, they are usually not as great. Ronaldo finally reached an age where you could put another player in that position, he used to play on wing a lot but for the past few seasons he has been a pure striker due to getting older and not being that much faster, and Messi used to play on the wings a lot as well but moved to center a bit more as well.

So when you are talking about things like this, it becomes evident that we are not going to see such simple changes but it does happen. Ronaldo got replaced on the last world cup, and Messi may end up getting replaced this one too, if they get too bad, that's how it just starts to happen slowly.
1286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Imtoken Amazing Feature on: June 30, 2023, 12:30:20 PM
I've been using the Imtoken app for a long time and I'm still using it because I see ImToken as a digital wallet app similar to Metamask and Trustwallet. They have a unique feature in their swap market which allows users to pay miner fees with owned tokens, without having to own Ethereum tokens. This feature can be useful for those who want to exchange their tokens without having to own a special token. Although there are other applications with similar features, ImToken has the advantage of being a platform that has been operating for a long time.
Indeed that Imtoken is not new but I haven't checked it out yet because I'm already contented before on the crypto wallets that I am using. If only I knew that Imtoken has that special feature you were talkin about, maybe I've switched to it. I know it's not yet too late so I prolly install one later.

You said they are similar to Metamask and Trustwallet but I hope, what you mean is that Imtoken is also a web3 and not similar in terms of being a semi-centralized wallet. Metamask and Trustwallet have been involved in some issues before but it's the Metamask who have been badly beaten up. I believe many users are now abandoning this wallet.
1287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why most premined coins (>90% of all altcoins) will eventually fail on: June 30, 2023, 11:30:35 AM
The most simple reason is the team can make easy money by dump their premined coins to circulation supply and mostly the team will run away since it's no longer profitable as they have dump all their premined coins.

Premined coins = centralization, which is the biggest enemy for Bitcoin maximalist.
Isn't that all too obvious? I mean team is the main reason why I do not trust alts because they have teams that are shady and even if they mean well, I do not know them so why would I trust a bunch of strangers with my money? With the same logic I can start a topic here on this forum, say that anyone who pays me will get their money back in double, would anyone invest? Of course not, nobody would do that.

And yet there are millions of dollars invested into this before and I think it is going to be pretty similar in the end as well. Just realize that you are not going to end up with a good result anytime soon, and you should be aware that the only valid investment is the top coins, all these alts will be gone eventually, tens of thousands of them.
1288  Economy / Speculation / Re: The low support level may still be tested during 2023. on: June 30, 2023, 07:46:15 AM
4 to 8 years is a very long time and one will barely be able to hold for that long, considering there will be a lot of bear and bull cycles in between these years, it will be much more profitable if someone buys and sells at the perfect intervals between these bear and bull cycles instead of just holding whether the market is up and down. If I have bought Bitcoins when it was at around $16k or $17k and then it goes above $60k, I would probably sell as soon as I see the market coming down and wait for the next cycle.

That way, I will earn profits from the dips and will also profit if the market goes very high, by the time 8 years have passed, I will have earned way more than what I could earn if I only held for all these years. That is what I would do, I'm not sure about others though.
I think finding those perfect intervals is the issue and many people fail to do that. I think that's the main reason why we are not seeing that happening all that frequently. I think the best thing to do in this case to make sure that it doesn't really get away from us too quickly.

I think long term holding is profitable in the sense that it could help us get better at results instead of trying to make is be a trader. I hope those people who plan up to become traders could buy at the bottom and sell later on, that's definitely a good thing. But that doesn't change the fact that it is not going to happen that easily. All in all I think it is going to be a big deal, and hope that it will be as easy as it gets for a long time. If we can arrange that, then we are going to be fine.
1289  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - what are we expecting for the rest of 2023? on: June 30, 2023, 06:38:34 AM
Might be difficult and $20k might also be possible, but we have been bombarded with negative news when the SEC are simultaneously chasing against the big crypto exchange posting a threat to freeze also assets within the exchange. But, bitcoin didn't react that much and stayed at the $25k level as the lowest it got.
So, there's a huge chance that we are not gonna see it again this year as people have been gradually accumulating now for the most awaited bitcoin halving.
Market sentiments moving forward are kinda bullish.
I guess there needs to be something bad that goes around if we are going to end up seeing 20k again. By the looks of it there isn't really anything that will go about like that and 20k would require a lot of big crash. At this moment the lowest I can see would be 25k again, that was seen not too long ago and could be seen once again, aside from that I believe it is going to go up as well.

Most people ignore the fact that it may go up and it looks like it has provided many of them wrong recently as well. I expect a small fall in the near future to get all those sell offs and so forth but after that I am expecting it to be a bit different and we should be considering it a bit crazier higher ups in the future after that drop ends.
1290  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is improving I guess? on: June 30, 2023, 05:52:40 AM
The increase that occurred at the end of June like today certainly makes us optimistic, FUDs and negative issues that are happening at this time are Binance which is experiencing a financial crisis, but all of these issues are refuted because many consumers withdraw and do not experience problems like what happened with FTX, of course this makes the market can continue to rise.
What customers are you talking about? I've not heard of any customers withdrawing their assets from Binance only to be safe because of what is happening with Binance, and whatever is going on with SEC and Binance, it's all about Binance US and not the global version, so even though I also believe that one shouldn't keep their extra assets at an exchange or any platform, I don't think there will be any issues with users' funds even if things get out of hand.

The increase or decrease in Bitcoin's price isn't directly caused by this issue because it's older than when the market pumped recently, so whether users are withdrawing their assets or not, will not affect the price of Bitcoin or the overall market in general, we sure are optimistic but we should see the facts too.
Even on the worst possible case where SEC found them guilty or something, that wouldn't have resulted with me withdrawing my money from Binance because that had nothing to do with each other. This is why it makes more sense to just assume that it is going to be a fine period and we should not be really considering that as an option.

What does SEC have to do with the funds I have on binance global, they can't prevent me from withdrawing no matter what they do, they can literally ask for Binance to be closed and CZ to be prisoned and yet they still couldn't touch our funds. And that wasn't even the investigation was about, so it was always nothing at all and we could always feel safe with our money there anytime we want it to as well.
1291  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Multiple timeframes is another means of getting better market clarity on: June 29, 2023, 04:42:39 PM
You should not be surprised my friend, these are strategies that are always instantly loaded upon opening the trading platform, so reading them are fast, just like glancing at a thing and immediately you know what they are and what they can do. Also, I believe you need more practice to actualize your goal of a good trading system.

But be sure to know that the trading system might not be the issue at times, many abandoned a good strategy because of that not knowing that no strategy is perfect and traders can't be successful without proper money and risk management to complement the strategy. And good strategy could be one or more, it doesn't matter.
When you are so used to doing a thing, obviously that becomes easier to handle. There are a lot of people who have absolutely nothing to do and they still ended up with a result in the end. Why? Because if you learn what to do and do it for many months even years, then it becomes a second nature and you do it very easily.

There are way too many people who still do not understand what this means and what they should be doing, that's an unfortunate thing but I bet that it is going to be an easy thing eventually. Just realize that it is a life that's a bit harder on that side and you will be able to actually consider it as a good thing. I know people are looking at bitcoin as a way to make profit but you need to work hard to get there for sure.
1292  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which indicators you use? on: June 29, 2023, 03:14:03 PM
Traders you are talking about are most likely just making their own indicators or combining several ones. Even meme trend lines that you draw can be seen as indicators or volumes you combine with them. You can build an indicator from several data points by yourself. So there might be indicators ready for the tactic you are currently using without knowing it's already been automated. It's all really how you read the data or combine it with fundamentals.

Saying that you don't use an indicator usually implies that you don't trust just one indicator blindly.
I think it is not that quite easy to just draw a line yourself, it does take a bit of information which means that you are right with that meme trend lines, because every one of them actually do mean something. You need to know what they mean before you can understand if you are making a correct calculation or not, if you are not then of course they will look like memes and jokes, but if you know what they mean then you are going to actually see what the indicator is telling you.

Unfortunately too many people are just looking at them like it's a joke, but that's not going to be that easy of a choice. I think the best thing to do in this case is to make sure that it can help you so you need to study and learn what it means.
1293  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason of why Bitcoin is good for trading (for me) on: June 29, 2023, 02:39:54 PM
actually for trading you have to learn more. Without proper knowledge could not possible continuously profit. Some times profit is not good for your fund. You invested on Bitcoin it is great. I think if anyone invest on Bitcoin he will be profited today or tomorrow. But for trading you have to gather knowledge about trading and you have to gather knowledge about fundamental annalists and technical analysis. And you have to know about cryptocurrency market. Then you will able to profit contentiously. So i will advice you to learn more and more about trading and market analysis. Or you have to invest and hold for long time foe next bull run market.
I agree with this, it is going to be an easy way of losing money if you start trading without first getting a good information and that's very crucial. I think it is quite important to remember that it is not going to be that much of an important thing if you just spend some time beforehand.

A lot of people are still seeing the situation as "easy to make money by trading because a lot of people did it" but just because some others made it look easy doesn't mean that it will be easy for you as well. It is quite important to make as much money as possible by focusing on what you could be doing yourself and the amount of money you could make from it. Just study, learn, be better and then you could do much more profit later on.
1294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Met Beautiful Young Asian Woman On Dating Site To Teach Me Trading on: June 29, 2023, 10:48:02 AM
I think This post should be moved to the Off Topic Section or Trading Discussion not here in the Marketplace.

also I don't get the point of this post? are you offering something here?
He does not even asking as for anything but just telling a story that produced that Specific site for trading meaning one thing for me and that is He is advertising that site for all of us to visit and nothing more.
sorry but I am not interested in reading and also telling him to transfer all His account from coinbase to that site? doesn't he even think that this can be a scam attempt ?
It's the woman in the story who asks money for him but maybe the story is only made up and the real intention of the OP is to promote his site. Let's only be careful because that site is not familiar to us. There are still real story who has the same theme or scheme as what the OP had shared but if the woman only wants to teach us how to trade, then why he must ask for our money?

We are supposed to be the ones who will trade on our own, in order to test our ability if we are already good at trading or not, right after the women taught us. When it comes to practicing, we can be able to practice trading even without real money involved. We will only use a demo account.
1295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 29, 2023, 09:06:33 AM
Zimbabwe is a strong enough team that the US lost to them badly. USA is not that good at playing cricket, their performance is not that good. But Zimbabwe came into the match looking good enough to win them. Collecting 408 runs is a difficult task where Zimbabwe's batting performed very well and scored huge runs. However, USA batted later and were defeated by 304 runs, which was the highest margin of runs. While Zimbabwe scored 408 runs after 50 overs, USA lost badly losing all wickets in just 25.1 overs. So USA has nothing to be proud of they are not that strong team they are a normal team so they lost.
Yeah, Zimbabwe is stronger among Associate countries but not against big teams due to lack of experience and practice and no one care about this all right now but as African countries are kicking off things hopefully they will be improved their quality and performance in coming years which will surely help them as they are also well populated region and have enough support for this sport as well.

USA is relatively new team which is having all Indian based players so just because of this we can expect consistency because their domestic setup is also not strong enough as we need for this game but as they are working hard, hopefully they will do good, but they need to encourage their domestic set-up which will help for better results just having adopted players will never help in long run.
1296  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - what are we expecting for the rest of 2023? on: June 28, 2023, 04:15:19 PM
If you believe history is repeating itself, it is possible. If I remember correctly, in 2020, bitcoin also dropped from $12k to $4k after bitcoin rose from $3k to $12k in 2019.

The halving is getting everyone very excited as it gets closer and closer to us, but let's not forget this year is very different from any other. I mean, economic crisis and high inflation is something bitcoin has never experienced before, so we also need to look closely at the market. I doubt if the economy can't recover, will the halving really be strong enough to make the market go up?
The 2019 season could very well be a good example of this year as well. I am expecting this year to be as good as it gets. I know that a lot of people are expecting it to be a bit different but I think it is going to be a good period to make some changes. It is going to be a bit difficult to see exactly the same but it could be similar. What parts of it could be similar?

Well, we could go 4x from the bottom or a bit less, of course 4x from the bottom would be 60k because bottom was 15k, so I expect a little less, like maybe 40k type of deal, but of course that also means that we won't go down 50% but less so it could be 30k again. That would mean we doubled from bottom, but also we dropped from the top of the year as well.
1297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breaking out of 2 month downtrend on: June 28, 2023, 12:23:59 PM
But isn't it better if BTC breaks out of 31k - 32k resistance asap and pump to, let's say, 40k so when the Fed does their rate hikes BTC goes back down to 31k - 32k and turns that into support?

I think this week is gonna be crucial and that we'd know by Friday if there's gonna be an S/R flip or if we see BTC go back down and stay in the previous range.
I am not sure if it would be that simple to predict though. Because first of all we do not know if FED will increase it or not, of course we are predicting that it will but that doesn't mean that it will, it just means we predict it that it will and maybe we are wrong.

Assuming that they do, then it is not a good idea to go up first and then drop, it is a good idea to drop first and then go up. That way the last thing we did would be going up, if we end up failing to break over it, and then it goes back to like 27-28 for example, then if we start going up again there wouldn't be a FED deal to look in the short term and we can break over 31k range a lot easier that way. It's the smarter way of approaching this if you ask me.
1298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What tips you will give to a new investor to identify scam projects early ? on: June 28, 2023, 10:33:11 AM
As a new investor who have no clue about market behavior it will be best to stick to top coins, this can't be emphasizes enough because of the various scam activities that usually happens in this space and most especially to new investors who can not identify scam projects from real projects.
It takes a lot of researching, observing and reading different guide to be able to identify scam projects and avoid them but not everyone has the time and patient for it.
I completely agree with you on that one, I believe newbies who are new in the industry should first learn everything and then think about investments, and initially, the best practice for them would be to only invest in the top and trusted cryptocurrencies that too when they are low in order to learn how trading works if they keep doing that and stay in the market, they will slowly start understanding everything and will be able to identify legit and scam projects over time.

That's why it is better to not invest in new projects if you are new to cryptocurrencies because you can lose your money and won't even earn anything nor will learn anything, but if you invest in trusted coins and learn from them and from around the industry, you will one day be able to easily spot scam projects.
Newbies who go into new projects have one thing on their mind; "I am too late to making big amounts of profit from bitcoin, that can't go x100, so I should invest into something new and take the risk, maybe I will find next bitcoin". We all know how many of them end up losing their money because of this, and that is why it doesn't make sense to invest into new things and we all know that's not going to be a smart decision even for veterans let alone newbies.

However, that doesn't mean that we are going to not do it neither, there will still be some people who will do it one way or another and I believe that we shouldn't be really shocked about this neither, we should be considering this as normal and just hope that people do not invest all their money into it.
1299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to altcoins ? on: June 28, 2023, 08:39:39 AM
The market is still in a bear market, so it is very risky to invest in Altcoin in a bear market. Bear market is always a long term investment, Altcoin is never a long term investment.I think bitcoin is best for long term investment. When Bitcoin can break its previous ATH, it might be a good time to invest in altcoins. Altcoin markets are actually more volatile, they go up a little and go down quickly. So comparing altcoins and bitcoins everyone will prefer bitcoin.  While Ultracoin offers good returns in a short period of time, there are also big losses.
I believe that it is not going to be that easy to decide between two different coins when we are talking about long term. Like for example ETH could be a good one for long term and even though it had a problem just recently with SEC, that doesn't change the fact that BNB is a good one as well. These type of things matter because in the end that is the way you make a profit, there is no other way.

Basically people love to check the whole altcoin box out, but that's not a good idea. I do like a few coins that can be very long term, over a decade long holding and those ones are as good as bitcoin to me. I still do have majority of my investment in bitcoin of course but I can't say that I have no other investment, I still have some there.
1300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What tips you will give to a new investor to identify scam projects early ? on: June 27, 2023, 05:12:33 PM
Just buy the old projects because certainly if they have lasted the bear market, they eventually be among those altcoins that also will go up when bull run arrives. And it seem very close already since halving will be next year already.
This is one of the tips to ensure that we take care of when choosing a project for an investment, they must have a past and long term existing progress in their offer, not that we cannot invest also on the newly introduced cryptocurrencies but they have to be from the reliable sources we have their guaranteed reputation over years in cryptocurrency, because we cannot afford out of our own mistake loose the entire money we are investing on them
This is why I check the people behind it, if there is a project with people who have been good for a while, then I would understand that it is also quite similar for the next project. If those people worked on different projects before and made some money, that means it is going to be quite great for the next one as well.

So, bunch of people who worked in maybe over a dozen different projects as part of something, then could become a bigger deal and make a profit later on as well if they end up building something together. This is why I believe that we should be careful about it, I know that it is not going to end up being that terrible but it is also not going to be that amazing neither if we are not careful. Always look at the team, that always matters.
