523  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICMiner USB Block Erupters #3 on: August 12, 2013, 10:14:00 PM
Why is it almost 2 times cheaper if you buy it in US ?

Is that like half the price?  Shocked

They get them cheaper to make up for how much their country sucks.  Tongue

I'll list new prices this evening Wink

Thanks for your hard work OutCast. there will be a quite few happy customers 2moro  Grin

No problem Grin

Poke, nearly midnight :p

I received a new price list yesterday, so will announce it later today Smiley Will be adding blades to the list also for anyone interested Smiley

Sounds good - hoping it's a nice price Smiley

Just sold most of mine on ebay again, so stocking up on more again!
525  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] batch #20/21 .31 - .35 btc for USB miners & 10.25 blades - USA only on: August 12, 2013, 01:45:21 PM
I look forward to see whats going to happen with International orders Smiley

Or are they still possible?
friedcat has designated re-sellers to different regions/countries.  so if a buyer is from a place that has a designated re-seller, they should go to that re-seller.
I will honor and finish up any outstanding orders and requests, but in the future, buyers should go to their respective designated re-sellers.

This is a sad day for Europe, our reseller doesn't price them too competitively Sad

YXT is selling the blades for 12.5 BTC + Shipping(.13 Germany, .25 EU) = 12.63-12.75, compared to 10.5 + Shipping (1.25) + Customs (20% I think, so around 2.35BTC) = 14BTC.
Isn't it a better deal?

My question is, how long for the blades to pay for themselves at these prices?

IAS

Thats true but I'm on about buying erupters not blades Smiley.

.45 vs .32 is a lot of difference per miner when you're buying 30 ish!

This new price is much more expensive than Canary - any reason for this? It makes it frustrating to buy them now that Canary does not accept international orders!

I've also had 2 successful group buys, and the most recent was probably the best service I've ever had from buying something online.
530  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: USB ASIC ERUPTER - Setup & Config. BCG Miner, cgminer & Hubs "Oh Pi"! on: August 05, 2013, 11:28:02 AM
Here's mine up:

3 Dlink hubs - 5 erupters in each, 1 of them is daisy chained to another (raspberry pi only has 2 USB).

Running BFGMiner in Raspbian, with the Ardafruit LCD display, working perfectly.

"snipped"

Smart use of Fan!

Yeah, someone said the cooling wouldn't be enough, but the only thing that would be done better is a gap between the erupters - but tbh this way the air is channeled out anyway so i think its fine personally!

IF cooling is an issue you could easily update fan AND add heat sinks.
Your idea probably saves cost and electric usage of 1.1 fans per 18-21 units.
I'm also thinking a slight gap between the HUBS may be beneficial...

Yep - well I'm going to be velcroing the hubs together, so i can transport it all if need be - so maybe I just add a layer of something inbetween to seperate them out a bit!

At the moment all of the erupters are only warm to the touch, so infinitely better than no fan at all! I'll monitor it through the day

Hmm maybe I should give this a go - looks pretty smart (or at least will) when the new UI is done.

Shut up you moron.

You also said they will not deliver, and they will not deliver on time.

Which do you mean, they will deliver, but it will be late? OR they will not deliver at all?

Think before you post, but for the greater good of this forum, please throw your computer out the window.

Thanks.

Erupters came this morning, here ALREADY its only 8am Smiley and im in the UK too!

Fantastic service, really cant ask for anything more.
LOL!  UK bound packages arrives earlier than US shipment.  Go figure.

Unparalleled service indeed.

Only issue - I expected it to take longer - so I don't have the USB hubs required to make use of them Cheesy

I still can't believe the service - tracking # said ETA roughly 6pm, then heard the doorbell D:

I bought 5 of the Orico/Juiced on Monday and just went back to by more. Someone must have bought the rest from the same place as they are sold out. Probably will use an artic fan in the 10th spot if its flaky.

You cant run 9 erupters + fan, it will crap out Smiley
