5241  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why does the cosmos exist at all? on: January 14, 2019, 03:38:51 PM
Perception is reality.

Does the cosmos actually exist or is it a figment of our collective perception?  I'm merely asking the question, because I don't know the answer.  Do I need to know the answer?  Does the answer change anything?

Lets go the other way, and ask a similar questions about the "micro-cosmos."  What force keeps the electrons and protons orbiting the nucleus of an atom, and why?

There is so much humanity has learned about our own existence, and the existence of the universe, but it's infinitesimal compared to how much more we can learn.  Learning usually leads to an understanding how little we know, and opens up even more questions.  Just keep learning, and not only you, but all humanity benefits.

Coinbase's price per BTC is $123 less than CMC right now.  I just spent the last $1500 I was able to scrounge together.  Top Ramen until Friday for me, boys.  At least I have some kimchi to go with it.
5244  Other / Meta / Re: Account banned on: January 12, 2019, 05:09:08 PM
Is it forbidden? Did the second account take part in the same bounty?
If I specify the same address with other forum users, then all accounts (100? 1 000? 10 000?) will be banned?

You, as a biological organism have been banned, regardless of how many digital versions of you (accounts) exist.  You are allowed to read the forum, but every time you post you are breaking the rules by evading your ban.
5245  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Cold Storage Hardware on: January 12, 2019, 04:48:30 PM
Thank you for the answers.

I would prefer something encrypted so i don't like the stainless steel or sth like that versions.

I've used micro SD cards in the past, and actually still have my cold wallets backed up in that way.  I have three safes with a backup in each.  I Also have a small (personal) document safe that I keep off site which used to have a back up in it (not anymore.)

There are advantages and disadvantages to having multiple backups in multiple locations.

For my stainless back-ups I developed a method to encode the seed phrase.  I didn't include any encryption, but a simple seed shift based on a date or a series of numbers could easily be incorporated.  Here's a guide I put together to describe the encoding method:

5249  Other / Meta / Re: THEYMOS - FACTS BASED POST - only interested in hearing HIS OPINION . Thanks. on: January 11, 2019, 05:36:29 PM
@Cryptohunter,
I think you have a hard time distinguishing facts from opinion, so let me try to help you out some:

1. The fact lauda is untrustworthy/ scammer

1. That is not a proven fact but is your opinion, to which you are entitled.  You may share that opinion with other users by leaving the appropriate feedback on Lauda's trust review page.  If other users agree with you they will follow your lead.  The newly implemented DefaultTrust algorithm gives you exactly the same opportunity to become a DT1 member that has now allowed Suchmoon to achieve that status.

2. Not only does he not RED TRUST lauda but actually adds him to his trust list

2. That is a fact.  Suchmoon is exercising his entitlement to express his opinion.  You are entitled to express yours (obviously) as often as you like.

3. Ignores the fact lauda and friends trying to silence me from telling about his past history so agrees with DT being used to prevent or punish those that reveal factual information regarding scams or scammers.

3. The very fact that you claim anyone is attempting to silence you is laughable.  You are the most vociferous critic of nearly everything relating to merit and trust.  How many threads have you started just to complain about these two subjects?  How many have been deleted by mods or admin?  Leaving you negative feedback does nothing to silence you, it's an expression of one's opinion, just like this post is an expression of yours.

5250  Economy / Lending / Re: Want 1 BTC Loan for Gambling on: January 11, 2019, 04:22:07 PM
It's quite fascinating that casinos can afford to give away 36 times more money than they earn.  With a business plan like that it's a wonder there are any casinos left in this world, one would think they would all be broke and out of business by now.  Roll Eyes
5251  Economy / Reputation / Re: Problem with negative Trust. on: January 11, 2019, 04:19:13 PM
Hello all!

Quite a long time ago I published a topic where an urgent loan was needed.
Forum member yogg (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=140827) wrote that I ask too much and immediately received a negative trust.
As a result, I did not receive any credit.
The topic has long been closed.
No one has any complaints with me.

I asked him to remove the negative trust, but he categorically refused.

I think this is unfair!
And he cannot decide for others!

Moreover, I create wallets for mini-computer Rapsberry Pi3 and there are positive reviews.
And no one wrote that he received viruses and I am guilty of this.

On the contrary, I do something that benefits others.
I was advised to find a person who could give a positive Trust to remove the minus.

But if such disputable situations are not resolved, then it is possible to place negative trust in everyone and the forum will deteriorate.

But you can not just leave impunity!
I do not want to write him something bad and put a negative trust .... God will judge him.

I will be glad to any advice and help!

The only thing you can do is try to convince Yogg to remove his rating.  You are right in he cannot decide for others whether they should deal with you or not, but he is entitled to give his opinion.  Other members are welcome to heed or ignore his words, no one is forced to react any specific way.

5252  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: VaultMeX on: January 11, 2019, 03:40:24 PM
Cluster2K is acting a lot like a guilty party.  He deleted my reply to his self moderated thread where he accused Suchmoon of trust abuse, then he locked the thread.  But, he didn't delete Cryptohunter's response to my comment, in which I was quoted.  WTF?

Archive of the thread is here: http://archive.fo/CknSp

My deleted post:

A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by the starter of a self-moderated topic. There are no rules of self-moderation, so this deletion cannot be appealed. Do not continue posting in this topic if the topic-starter has requested that you leave.

You can create a new topic if you are unsatisfied with this one. If the topic-starter is scamming, post about it in Scam Accusations.

The thread you linked to above included this post from you:

After the last months of problems, issues, angry customers, death threats received, funds frozen by the exchange (including my own) I decided to take a step out from all these things. Now I'm not part of the exchange "team" anymore.

And then you wrote:

As already explained they paid for that service and I'm not gonna remove it until the end of the promotion.

So, if you are paid by scammers to help promote their scam you are, and should be held accountable.  If some one paid me to advertise their service on my website, then I and others were scammed by that service I would cease to promote their service, and refund their money for the remaining duration of their contract.

Suchmoon's rating is justified in my opinion.

On top of the shady behavior of promoting a project he himself admitted is scammy, he displays even more shady behavior by attempting to silence his critics.
5253  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Cold Storage Hardware on: January 10, 2019, 11:24:10 PM
The longest lasting and least vulnerable to damage is a piece of stainless, etched with your seed phrase, and stored in a safe place.

You can find stainless blanks at a local hardware store, and etch your seed phrase on it with a dremil or similar tool.
5254  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: VINSIN Is a scammer on: January 10, 2019, 04:15:55 PM
OK, please explain to me like a 5-year old how VINSIN is linked to the above images.  Am I missing his name somewhere?  It's not that I don't believe you necessarily, just that I'm not seeing the link with him and what you posted as evidence.

You must be very foolish for saying this trash. Will he use his username there to scam idiot.

Am even suspecting you to be Vinsin

The Pharmacist is one of the most respectable scam busters here.  I believe The Pharmacist wants clarification because it's vague who is whom in that graphic.  Neither member used the same name as on the forum, and the OP didn't include any proof that the person who scammed him is Vinsin, or that it was indeed the OP that was scammed.

If the OP can prove that it was Vinsin then I'm sure The Pharmacist will be the first to red-tag that account.

5256  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod, what's with "bozo"? :D on: January 08, 2019, 09:19:48 PM
Bozo is a good one, and almost as fun to say doofus.  English is my second language, but I've been using it as my primary means of communication for 87% of my life (and counting.)  If you would like to practice employing English slang in a versatile way to describe ignorance you may want to acquaint yourself with these terms as well:

Ignoramus, blockhead, buffoon, dimwit, moron, dunce, nitwit, dope, numskull, lamebrain, and dolt.  I'm sure there are more that are eluding me at the moment.

You can also use profanity to emphasize your displeasure with the ignorance being displayed.  Like "shithead" or "shitforbrains," for example, or combination of words such as "fucking moron" also paints quite a colorful picture.

Cool beans, thanks for the response Anony.

Bill, I'll dig up some items I'm willing to trade.  I have a couple more firearms I was thinking of selling, and some machining equipment and precision measuring tools, and maybe a rifle scope or two...  Does any of that sound of interest?

I have to take my daughter to the airport tonight, so it may be a couple of days before I'm able to find anything to your liking.  Please do not hesitate to accept other offers in the mean time.

Few year back, I also had similar questions and doubts. Not satisfied with fundamental analysis alone, started learning Technical Analysis (TA). And realized that it can be a very good tool if learned and applied well. Earlier, TA was complementary to fundamental analysis, now it is otherwise. And now I depend primarily on TA.
So if you want to improve your skills take into consideration TA. It is really useful, m8!

5259  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: January 07, 2019, 04:30:42 PM
Hi folks. I do not have a hardware wallet at the moment, only an Online wallet with Blockchain.info
Does any of you know if it is possible to sign a message for non imported addresses there? Has anyone done it before on Blockchain.info?
Thanks for your help.

To reiterate what joniboini wrote; no, you will not be able to sign a message from a Blockchain.com generated wallet.  If you create a private key using one of the key generators such as bitaddress.org you will be able to import that key into your Blockchain.com account and sign a message with that key.  However, that is one of the least secure methods since web wallets are prime targets for hackers.

Using an off-line computer to generate a wallet using Electrum is a significantly more secure method.

Only download Electrum from this source: https://electrum.org/#download
The official github repository is here: https://github.com/spesmilo/

Be very careful when using github, as there have been fake versions, and fake update notifications that send you to a different github repository.

@anonymousminer: Are these cards the same SKU as the ones I bought from you?  I put one of those that I bought in my workstation, and I may want to set up a second with SLI, so they need to be exactly the same.

@Bill: If the answer to the question above is yes, I may be interested in one.  Are you willing to do any kind of trade?
