Last I heard, the NRA is lobbying group advocating for the civil liberties of it's members. Please prove me wrong. A gun is a tool, for obtaining food, entertainment, and unfortunately, self defense. One's ability to defend him/her self is unfortunate? ...guns dont kill people. People with guns do 100% of the time. WTF are you trying to say? People with guns do 100% of the killing? People with guns kill people 100% of the time? Regardless, both are obviously wrong, making that a stupid statement on multiple levels. We need stronger laws to determine who and who shouldn't be allowed to have guns. The founders, fleeing an oppressive and violent government, understand that citizens need military force in a truly democratic society. Be careful what you ask for. The physical part is an understandable perspective. But, what value does gold really have? If the endgame is a SHTF scenario lead is far more valuable than gold. You can't feed gold or silver to your children. If grain is scarce I'm not trading any of mine for your precious metals. If the shit never does hit the fan, and in the current global socioeconomic climate value is subjective, and gold is no more impressive than a paper wallet. It wouldn't be any more bizarre to trade bird's heads for tulip bulbs if we lived in a society that put value on those items. A diverse investment portfolio is the most practical approach. |

I agree, and I am ashamed of myself for jumping into the politicization of this event. It is terrorism, and there's no other way to describe it. Even if the bombs turn out to be fakes, the intent was obviously to intimidate. Regardless of the perpetrator's political motives, this is terrorism and we should all be condemning it. |

I don't see how an arbitrary deadline can tell us the motive of this act. The FBI will take as much time to investigate as they need, whether it's done today or next week or next year. My guess is if they are not real bombs, the FBI ought to know by tomorrow. If that's the case the New York Times will have one paragraph about it, on the back page, under the Estee Lauder ad. |
