541  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchange trading Question. Anyone? on: February 28, 2019, 10:27:59 PM
Just a Question that has me stumped and maybe someone with more knowledge on the Financial aspects of trading can help me out.

So i Do a lot of trading on Bittrex. I have been dabbling with a low dollar amount(Below $100) to minimize any stupidity on my part and losing it all lol

So no matter what i do i can't seem to understand how the price rise in BTC market affects altcoins like Dogecoin dropping in price.

Seems when BTC goes up in value Doge drops....What am i missing?? Seems it would be plain as day but i'm not a pro in trading obviously.

Can anyone Enlighten this Idiot? lol
Thanks.
You need to go back to have some lectures on how to trade even in bear market, the problem is not from the Exhcangers but you if really you want to understand the market and how is works you really need to calm down take your time to study and understood TA and also FA which is technical analysis and fundamental analysis.
542  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gaining quick profits or keep holding? on: February 27, 2019, 10:12:05 PM
The market now gradually increasing and seems like good idea to gain quick profits in my opinion.  What's your view guys?  Is there a tends that it will constantly to rise  after day or two or it will stop increasing again? And kindly suggest which is better way now  "gaining quick profits or keep holding until the bottom of this pump?" )'cause im very confused now which is good strategy and i don't know what to do.
In my own point I will say you take profit where possible because the ways of the market its self is unpredictable and if you for any means want to be greedy it will dump on you.
543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is stoploss worth it ? on: February 26, 2019, 09:09:04 PM
I have set the weekly target of 2% profit on the capital amount which is quite easy knowing that BTC swings about 2% on a daily basis and hence it would be an easy target to achieve.

I am achieving the target but as the recent dip was a big one, it took away all the profit I made. So is a stoploss worth a try so that such big dips don't take away the rest of the profit I make ? Should I consider placing a stoploss for such a small target ?
In most trade just like the day trading I believe it's worth it but regardless to long term, is not worth it due to the market can be trickish to predict.
544  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Bull Run!!! on: February 26, 2019, 09:07:08 PM
ARE WE ENTERING A CRYPTO BULL RUN?!
(Don't sleep on the poll, your opinions matter!)

For the first time in the last few months, people seem to be acting positively about the cryptocurrency market. This is because, in the last couple of days, the market has risen at a surprising rate. On August 27 the global market cap was $215 Billion, on August 29 it is worth $232 Billion. That is nearly an 8% rise. It has lead people to question whether we are experiencing a bull run and how investors should prepare for it. The Financial Times defines a bull run as simply a time when prices rise on a financial market, so by those terms, this could be considered one — however, the question now is about whether traders should be treating it as such. It is one thing to say that we are in a bull run, but it is another to change your trading habits to accommodate for one.

BTCitcoin during the bull run

Bitcoin experienced two impressive jumps in price. One at the start of August 28 which brought it from $6,700 to $6,900, and another later in the day taking it from $6,900 to $7,000. This is in stark contrast to how Bitcoin was performing just one week ago.

The nature of Bitcoin’s rise has also brought other coins up. Ethereum, XRP, Litecoin, and most other cryptocurrencies are seeing the same bullish behavior. The fact that this rise in value is being experienced throughout most coins and tokens is certainly indicative of a bull run.

Not every cryptocurrency is so lucky

Out of the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market cap, there are only a handful of coins and tokens which are performing poorly, most of which are relatively unknown. Of the coins that are well-known, Nano is currently struggling to hold onto its gains from the previous days. WAVES is also stagnating in price (although at noon August 29 it has had a spike) and PIVX is moving negatively. On the note of PIVX, fans of the coin engaged in a debate with fans of its rival: Monero. You can find this debate on the cryptocurrency subreddit. While these coins are not doing their best right now, none of them are declining harshly.

The market is not back yet we are still bouncing around 3,000 to 4,000 hopefully we will get a bull run we can't predict this market.
545  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you need in A Cryptocurrency Exchange ?! on: February 26, 2019, 10:50:38 AM
some of the natural things I want and I expect on an exchange are:
1. security guarantee
2. Low withdrawal fees
3. 24-hour admin service
Your number two is quiet welcoming but when it's in the aspects of when market is bad won't it affect their fee in transaction because I think this can hook up in the network and keeping you in pending.
546  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you need in A Cryptocurrency Exchange ?! on: February 26, 2019, 10:47:50 AM
indeed there are so many exchanges nowadays, and I prefer to exchange large volumes, and I really like investing in ethereum.
That's a good requirement but I believe security and 24/7 service centre should also be the most important as of the volume in the Exhcange that can be looked up on. We won't like to hook up in missing our funds.
547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't fell for FUD. Stand your ground bitcoiners! on: February 24, 2019, 10:31:04 PM
So.

I've seen this in a thread:

lol @ the snicker comment but I'm sick of you crypto guys tricking regular people into investing in this scam.  There are not enough greater fools left for the price to go back up to 20k.  I know you guys are trying to get one last pump to dump on the noobs though.

And globally an increase of posts saying that it's the end. That the big scam is finished and that now it's just a deah fish. That it was all a global scam.

Now I don't care if some old traders are dumb enough to sell right now. This post is for all the newcommers that fear investing. When I first invested in 2015 I was worried and only bought up to 2 coins while I could have bought about a dozen rather easily. Now I'm still happy I've bought at this time but I would have loved if some old coiners managed to convince me to buy muuuuuuuuch more.

Here is why you should buy, and buy now:

-BTC is not dead. There is no reason for btc to die, the only way would be to stop all mining but that's simply not possible as anyone can mine, even you.

-Already 83% of BTC has been mined. That means a very small inflation. You need only a very small investment to keep the price of btc stable. That's not the case of dollars or euro you know... They get printed over and over...

-BTC has a real life purpose. Using WU to transfer money is hundreds of time more expensive than using BTC. BTC isn't made for daily purchases but it can handle large amount transfer like nothing else!

-Next halving is in less than two years: https://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/
If you don't know what halving is, just remember that halving means less BTC mined means price increase.

-Market value is already in the 63 billions. For the price to stay the same, you need only a few billions considering the small increase of coins.

-Tons of coins get lost. I'm not even sure the number of BTC is actually increasing if you consider the people losing their private keys, the people dying without handing their coins, the amount of dust btc lost in small wallets...

-Not a single solution has been provided to avoid another world financial crisis. Banks and government are still exactly doing the same thing. And at the next financial crisis, when governments will have to print billions and billions to bail out the banks, what currency will not get inflation in any way? Yeah you goddamn right.

-For anyone in countries not 100% safe (means anyone except USA, France UK and Germany). Remember governments and banks simply prevented any citizen to get their money from their bank account with the Greek crisis. They will never be able to freeze your coins.

So don't be afraid. It's better than any other investment you could make.

Chill out, buy, and buy now as the price can only go up for the next halving.

Cheers.

This is for everyone to get the information, most bitcoiners don't give attention to FUD I my self I don't believe in FUD because it's give this emotional feelings to discourage you in the CRYPTO atmosphere.
548  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you get your daily overview of the market?? on: February 24, 2019, 10:26:57 PM
In my own aspects I follow some crypto professionals who know the ways in the market and also get some news trends on telegram and other social media that is base in Cryptocurrency.
549  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did you lose your confidence as an investor? on: February 23, 2019, 08:19:09 PM
Besides being an investor I believe crypto will recover in due time, all this is about our patient and to understand the market. Have not invest on anything yet but am a bounty hunter and which I know I invest my time and effort to see great project come to live.
550  Economy / Speculation / Re: January...The Next Few Weeks Will Be Crucial on: February 23, 2019, 08:14:52 PM
I think the market is quiet improving this February and I believe and hope it stays like this. We can see that BTC is really making a move.
551  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which platform is best for Trading? on: February 21, 2019, 08:56:07 PM
Now we are having more New Exhcangers where one can trade in but we just have to be security conscious when ever we moved funds.
552  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to be A Good Trader? [new] on: February 21, 2019, 08:48:35 PM
To achieve this, you definitely have to learn from others past mistakes during trading. It's not all about you can do it your self, you will have to get a mentor that will along side help you out.
553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Pizza with Bitcoin through Lightning Network on: February 19, 2019, 10:34:04 PM
This is just the start and most people doesn't see this improvement that bitcoin is getting. Cheaper fees and faster transactions and sooner or later we're going to be able to buy almost everything with bitcoin through Lightning Network.

It's just a matter of time.

whats not said by the OP's link is that the 150 orders taken is based on the fact that 1500 orders tried, but only 150 succeeded, with fold saying the issue was due to lightning. 10% success rate..

imagine if bitcoin (not LN 12 decimal pegged payments) but the actual bitcoin network(8 decimal tx's) only had 10% success rate

This might be a low success rate but atleast they are trying new ones and there are 150 success transaction.
And more than one is plural and much better, this will be develop and might launch as beta to be develop. lets wait more.

Everything in the Crypto world is a gradual process I believe they are working behind the scene to make sure everything come in place.

555  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: why many traders(including me) not getting success on: February 17, 2019, 10:37:42 PM
even though we see a lot of videos read books and know that if we do this, we will be profitable but at last we do same mistakes and lose what could be the reason
1) practice and experience
2) with fear of losing or missing profits we just f*** our trades
3) patients
4) or what other reasons could be?Huh?? please comment
Trading is not base in the success you get definitely you can't always win the market, and other words it's base in the aspects in trading which you are good at. The market doesn't really have a professional we all are just following up what we know.
556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Confused about Trading, Holding, Buying or Selling in this market? on: February 17, 2019, 10:34:53 PM
So there are still a lot of decisions that can be made and there
are some out there who dont know what to do in this current
Bear market. There is talk about bitcoin falling back to around
$1000 and there was a mini frenzy last week when the markets
rose with calls for the Bulls!

Before today I thought that Bitcoin wouldnt fall to $1000 but
after talking to friends they are not buying at the moment and
are going to wait a bit to see if the markets fall back, but what
if they dont? there could be a lost opportunity.

But what if they do and you have bought now?

Well consider "Dollar Cost Averaging". This is a technique used
to buy at regular intervals with a fixed amount. Play it safe and take
advantage of the moving markets. If the markets fall you have some
buying power to take advantage and likewise if the markets rise
well at least you have bought some at a lower rate.

https://www.investopedia.com/investing/dollar-cost-averaging-pays/

Quote
Dollar-Cost Averaging Example

For example, assume an investor invests $1,000 on the first of each month into Mutual Fund XYZ. Assume that
over a period of five months, the share price of Mutual Fund XYZ at the beginning of each month was as follows:

• Month 1: $20

• Month 2: $16

• Month 3: $12

• Month 4: $17

• Month 5: $23

On the first of each month, by investing $1,000, the investor can buy a number of shares equal to $1,000 divided
by the share price. In this example, the number of shares purchased each month is equal to:

• Month 1 shares = $1,000 / $20 = 50

• Month 2 shares = $1,000 / $16 = 62.5

• Month 3 shares = $1,000 / $12 = 83.33

• Month 4 shares = $1,000 / $17 = 58.82

• Month 5 shares = $1,000 / $23 = 43.48

Regardless of how many shares the $1,000 monthly investment purchased, the total number of shares the investor
owns is 298.14, and the average price paid for each of those shares is $16.77. Considering the current price of the
shares is $23, this means an original investment of $5,000 has turned into $6,857.11.

If the investor had spent the entire $5,000 on one of these days instead of spreading the investment across five
months, the total profitability of the position would be higher or lower than $6,857.11 depending on the month chosen
for the investment. However, no one can time the market. DCA is a safe strategy to ensure an average price per
share that is favorable overall.

I can equal say many traders are confused and rekt out with this present situation of bitcoin dropping and won't want to move up. Many are still buying even at the present price and hoping it increases soon enough.
557  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long do you think this BEAR MARKET will LAST? on: February 16, 2019, 08:45:46 PM
I do not think that anyone would be able to predict correctly when that could happen .
The volatile nature of cryptocurrency seem to  make correct predictions possible.
But I am confident that the prevailing market condition will come to end end soon giving way to bullish trend.
Within this few weeks of the market we moved from $3,200 plus up to this present figure which we most have gain the market alittle I believe this market condition won't take long. In my own seeing.
558  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HODL IS THE BEST OPTION FOR ME NOW on: February 16, 2019, 08:41:56 PM
hold is the best step to avoid a big loss, we can see if it is now one of the safest moement to safeguard our assets. so I think this is the right thing.
I feel that currently holding back is the best choice. although it is still prone to dumps, I feel that there will be good news from cryptocurrency in the near future. maybe a 10% increase is good enough to sell the assets that I have.
This is quiet the best way, for any investors in the Cryptocurrency atmosphere to HODL and in other words many are buying more building their bags up, because we don't have any idea when the bull will come around but definitely its coming soon.
559  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HODL IS THE BEST OPTION FOR ME NOW on: February 16, 2019, 08:39:44 PM
I believe this not for you alone in the crypto market, definitely everyone is HODling except for few who can't bear the market conditions that are selling off.
