Ok i speak some bad english myself but that waterproof made me laugh  Tongue
542  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 2 BTC/ 60 LTC loan for a period of 60 days on: November 30, 2013, 09:04:32 PM

The fact that you are investing in a mining rig isn't exactly promising about returning the loan. If you know what i mean  Tongue

Why So?

Because i 'm not aware of any miners out there that can more bitcoins than they cost
543  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why release ASIC miners? on: November 30, 2013, 09:03:10 PM
Because they sell them for more btc that they can ever mine. You should ask why people are buying them instead...

  • Kate (me, one of Britain's top ICT entrepreneurs)

You like to talk big about yourself don't you  Tongue

Having said that, i think feathercoin should be included. (ofc i 'm suggesting it because i own feathercoins and i hope for yet another push)
545  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 by 2016 very likely on: November 30, 2013, 08:18:07 PM
10k by 2016 seems a pretty safe bet to me. I wonder how the op came up with the odds

I submitted the bet earlier in the year when we reached around $100/BTC.

Ok i didn't knew how your site works. Apparently there isn't any real odds making anyway  Tongue

I 'm wondering how many pages this thread is going to make even though op said 5 posts  Tongue Tongue

What are you talking about? There are pools already for mining.

550  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 2 BTC/ 60 LTC loan for a period of 60 days on: November 30, 2013, 08:10:22 PM
Hi All,

I am looking for not more than 2 BTC/60 LTC loan for a period of 60 days at 11% interest rate . The terms can be negotiated.

Willing to provide any sorts of id proof and as to what the funds are going to be used for .

I am investing in a mining rig.

Please do let me know if anyone interested . Can either leave me a message here.

Thank and Regards
Soumya

551  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Let's predict the end point of bitcoin~ on: November 30, 2013, 08:08:26 PM
So~I want to start a new prediction~
Not more than 2000US$/1BTC? Just a wild guess~

Well this is a wild guess because we are at 1200 now. In order for bitcoin to not pass the 2k mark terrible things must happen  Tongue
552  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-11-29 Financial Times: Alderney to cash in on Bitcoins with Royal Mint on: November 30, 2013, 07:54:35 PM
What is this? It sounds like an even worse idea than the physical bitcoins we already have. As I understand it, you don't even get control of the private keys, the coin is just backed by a promise to pay the holder in "virtual" Bitcoins if they visit the damn island. What the hell?

It's absolutely ridiculous. I think bitcoin.org should add Alderney to the online wallets list
553  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you believe in cryptocurrency competition? on: November 30, 2013, 07:52:30 PM
Litecoin is just a guy creating an inferior Bitcoin so he can be an early adopter of something, along with a whole bunch of other people hopping on to be early adopters as well. Why would it do anything except go away?

I'd still love to hear an explanation for that analysis; it's very hard for me to understand its basis.  You might like to do some further research into the differences between the two and the broader implications of those differences.  Without substantiation it's hard not to consider the "Litecoin's just a cheap clone" arguments as anything other than FUD. Smiley

I thought that it had been established that the reaper miner was actually used long before it was publicly released and that during the time before it was released there was at least one group mining a coins like mad using gpu's while everyone was getting 20-30 khash/s per cpu.

I don't find that to be wrong. I mean mining is a competitive game anyway and it is competitive on all levels
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is MEC's rise the fastest in history of cryptocurrencies? on: November 30, 2013, 07:50:13 PM
People that buy alts purely for speculation are so clueless that they don't even know what premine is.
The worst part is that some of them are gonna win big  Tongue

556  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-11-29 Financial Times: Alderney to cash in on Bitcoins with Royal Mint on: November 30, 2013, 12:27:24 AM
This is HUGE. UK Channel Island (tax haven) Alderney plans to produce physical bitcoins in partnership with the Royal Mint (which produces UK coinage)

This is one big nonsense and it's not even good news for bitcoin imho. I doubt it will even create a notable pr buzz.
557  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitCoin as tulips (?) on: November 30, 2013, 12:16:08 AM
Hadn't heard the tulip analogy before. Thanks for sharing!

Tulips, Beanie Babies, Dollars can all be manufactured almost limitlessly. Bitcoin can't.

Because thats the only difference between tulips and bitcoins  Roll Eyes
558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do "when" bitcoin hits 10,000......... on: November 30, 2013, 12:13:03 AM
You do realise IF it hits 10k, everyone will begin cashing to fiat, as bitcoin alone is still pretty useless. Panic will cause a crash of some sort..

The exact opposite will happen. If bitcoin hits 10k everyone will understand that bitcoin is unstoppable and they 'll hoard like they never done before.
Although in the long term i don't know if this is good or bad for the ecosystem.
559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Questions (and concerns) about BTC on: November 30, 2013, 12:07:47 AM
The last year is ~2140, you won't live to see that day, don't worry about it.

Actually the year will be much sooner with the rapid increase in mining power. Also 99% of the coins will be mined much sooner than 2030.

Like a function with an asymptote of y = 21 000 000?

Yeah but its not an asymptote. It takes the value eventually. Check this out https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Controlled_supply
560  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Thinking about getting out of mining... input? on: November 30, 2013, 12:04:36 AM
You started mining 3 years ago and you are not a multimillionaire by now?
Instead of having your own island you live in a one room apartment and work a day job?
Something is wrong here.
