541  Other / Meta / Re: New ways to earn merit. on: April 09, 2018, 02:22:29 PM
I still do not understand about the existence of the merit in this bitcointalk. can anyone explain to me what is merit? and what does it do?
Í have added you into my Ignore List. Hope that it is early signal for you and give you motivation to try search and know more about merit system.
You will probably be added to Ignore list of more members.
542  Other / Meta / Re: merit. is it hard on: April 09, 2018, 08:46:53 AM
Then try catching some scammers. That not only helps the community but also gives you an option to get merits.
You are bastard (sorry for my bad word), because you are merit beggar, nothing more. All things you do are mainly for begging merits. You won't have thoughts of helping others. What you think just "How to earn merits?", "What should I do to get merits?", "How to rank up with new ranking system?"
"What happen if I buy merits to rank up?", "Wow, that guy is a merit source, so what should I do to get his merits as many as possible?"
Good luck, you should not pretend to be helpful. Merit beggars won't change to become helpful users.

I don't understand how I am a bastard. I am telling him an option to gain merit by catching scammers. That's how I got some of mine. And catching scammers does not require high level of English.
What I mean is you won't be a better one, at least in terms of your internal value, if you only focus, and spend your time to scan the forum, find abusers (account sellers, merit exchangers, merit abusers).
You should focus on growing your internal values, which help you much more than finding abusers.
Of course, during the time you scan the forum, reading topics, threads to learn, if you find abusers by chance, simply report them to moderators. It's good. I support he approach.
Please don't fall into downside by become hunters.
Hope that via the thread, you will know what I mean.
And sorry for the word bastard.

So many members in the forum, especially low ranked ones, tend to intentionally abuse Sir. as hilarious efforts to kiss asses of higher ranked users in order to earn merits. Of course, they tried to do non-sense, stupid things. Most of them come from the third world. It is not shame about wherever you born, but they should improve their English skills and should not overuser the word.
Overusing make their threads like a pseudo respect.
Additionally, they don't know that simply adding Sir. Into their threads will not increase threads' quality at any extent.
545  Other / Meta / Re: The reality is 99.9% members can never rank up with the new merit system. on: April 06, 2018, 02:31:43 AM
Those sort of users didn't tell the truth. Their main (maybe only) objectives to join the forum is to get money from available campaigns, bounties, airdrops; not to get knowledge, to share experience, skills, etc.
As 99.9% of people claims bitcointalk is a great forum for sharing knowledge and they use it for that reason <-- So you can ask/answer questions without high rank but in reality 99.9%  wants rank only for sig campaigns.

So that's why Merit is great addition.

It can not be solved if admin won't release new rules which restrict users to start new topics on merit and related issues. However, I think that the forum should keep allowing users (on all ranks) can start new topic (of course, only unallowable in serious boards). Should keep the forum as fair, equal as possible for all users.
Why are there endless topics/bumps related to merit?

Finally, Nokia has come back and on the way to be great again!
Nokia has reached significant achievements in its efforts to revive traditional phones, which had solid positions in memory of their supporters several years ago (maybe the generation Nokia users ten years ago).
Now, Nokia has planned to join the blockchain-based services, in particular healthcare services. With powerful supports from Smartphones, mobile devices; Nokia can make it come true.
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: April 06, 2018, 02:16:37 AM
The last that I read a couple of days ago, the chips manufacturer have sent them already the chips. They are functional (that's good) but they are still testing their final specifications. I am guessing they will publish an update soon. But considering there is an arms race between Obelisk and Bitmain, I won't be surprised if they decide to hide the final shipping date and specifications until the very moment they start shipping to keep the strategic advantage over Bitmain (I am sure they in turn have a "A3+" model on works aimed just to damage Obelisk)

If you want to stay in the loop I would recommend you joining the Discord of Obelisk: https://discord.gg/zt9JznT  Wink
It is good to hear such important news from you, Hakkane. I and Sia community eagerly waiting for ASICs from Obelisk over the last few months. Internally, Sia made a hardfork to implement new difficulty-adjustment algorithm, which help the Sia network to fight against difficulty blossom in the future when ASICs joined the mining party.
Hope all things will work fine for both Obelisk and Sia.

Hope it helps!
549  Other / Meta / Re: The reality is 99.9% members can never rank up with the new merit system. on: April 03, 2018, 04:06:50 PM
no this merit system is broken and its not working.
Hello fella,
You should say something like this.
"Merit system has actually broken my life and spammers', account farmers' lives.
I have losen lots of opportunities to earn money in bitcointalk forum due to merit system."
Saying, writing like this, you will get big rounds of applause from spammers, account farmers, merit exchangers, and merit beggars. So proud of you!

Haha.
550  Other / Meta / Re: TMAN'S guide to getting merit. on: April 03, 2018, 03:57:52 PM
if anyone wants to do a fancy infographic of the guide to getting merit I will lay some merit on them
Infographics will hurt my fingers, lol. Please don't send them merits and promote them to overuse infographics. Please, Sir TMAN (just kidding because I love the idea of Theymos on Politeness point).
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]❁ KORE Tor Masternodes, Browser, VoIP, Aether OS, KOREPhone, KOREbay No ICO on: April 03, 2018, 02:57:44 AM
You got me, MikeMike. There are lots of scam masternode coins which launched during the past two months. Those ones had extremely high ROI at its early stages, but those ROI are not real, not stable, has decreased and will keep continuous falls which will cause serious losts for their investors.
I agree and disagree.
1- The Masternodes payouts are very high compared to legitimate projects like DASH and PIVX.
So please compare KORE to DASH and PIVX since KORE is a legitimate project.

Great! Currently, we have only 234 active masternodes in the network, which account for 5.8% of total current circulating supply.
https://masternodes.online/currencies/KORE/
2-We hope to max out at 1,000-2,000 Masternodes.
So expect the Masternodes Rewards to increase exponentially in future wallet releases.

Spammers always tried to join topics, spread their FUDs, publishing their shitty, non-sense threads to increase their post-count.
3-Why do you trash KORE and spam your signature campaign here?
~
In KORE, I strongly believe.
552  Other / Meta / Re: sMerits for Bitcoin Comics on: April 03, 2018, 02:49:18 AM
Hope you will like it  Cheesy
< infographic snipped to protect readers' fingers and their eyes >
Honestly, this one looks like a joke, a good way to waster scarce sMerits. I don't beg for merits, actually, but I don't support the idea. Infographics are only (at least in my opinion) for lazy users.
Another minus point is those infographics will be overused in threads by spammers, who only want to catch attention of others by attaching the images. Those lazy users often (or usually) don't put any efforts into their threads. Now they have good choice to spam the forum. Threads attached such infographics will hurt my fingers a bit. I also hope that someone who use those infographics will readily be responsible for my medical bills (seriously).
553  Other / Meta / Re: Any advice on how I can earn merit? on: April 03, 2018, 02:44:33 AM

<snip>
I was therefore wondering if I am doing anything wrong. Is there anything else I can do beyond putting time in my threads and trying to use correct language to get merit?

I would appreciate if you had any advice for me.

I just started with cryptos. I would say that I spend around an hour per day, mostly when I'm on public transportation, since I don't have a lot of free time.
To be honest, I really hate such a over-bold, highlighted threads like those ones (Hate to say this but I can not say something different, it's my real feelings when I read them).
Over-highlighted threads' authors should be added into Ignore list by serious users in the forum.
Just my recommendations. I have already put this guy into my Ignore list.
554  Other / Meta / Re: Don't give me merit on: April 03, 2018, 02:41:38 AM
I wish I could give negative merit.
You got me, Sir.
In some aspect, negative merits are almost the same as demerit function which has been rejected by lots of higher ranked users in the forum. Therefore, i don't think that your ideas will be implemented by Theymos.
555  Other / Meta / Re: Decrease the new new requirements!! Too hard to rank up! on: April 01, 2018, 04:48:22 PM
~
I don't like new new rank requirements, which are almost unable to understand comprehensively. Nevertheless, even with the old rank requirements that related only to merit system, I don't believe that you can rank up with such over-bolded, increase-sized thread.
Let's see what happen next days, after 1st of April.
556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ¤ DMD Diamond 3.0 | Scarce ¤ Valuable ¤ Secure | PoS 3.0 | Masternodes 65% on: March 31, 2018, 06:57:56 AM
POS at the moment can earn around 20%
Masternodes over 25%

but please read whitepaper and be aware that coin inflation is constant decreasing
that means rewards slowly reducing

more and more it will become visible how hard it is to get hands on new DMD

sell DMD now in my opinion worst timing ever
~
Lower inflation might lead to higher price for Diamond in the future, which in turn might catch attention of more potential investors.
Buying more Diamond at low levels and hold till the next important points in decreased inflation roadmap will be smart decision.
Look no further to find potentially profitable coins for your portfolio. It's here, Diamond!

Are there still others like nullius have already make to FULL MEMBER RANK with the current system or its just that the geniuses of this forum are only allowed to make it through that position?
~
So let us have a proof that there are someone else who already passed the hardships on getting merits for the FULL MEMBER Rank.
Here you go:
1. iasenko: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1291828
2. cerebro415: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1764494
3. dimplit: cerebro415
4. A potential one is Talk merit, which has been Newbie with 6 merits. Amazing!
And maybe more cases which I don't remember and don't have available list for those cases.
558  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Requirements too difficult to JR. Members on: March 31, 2018, 06:49:55 AM
A 'morderator' sounds more like a post killer, than a person who keeps posts within reasonable limits. Maybe we need more morderators here. Smiley

Moderators are not able to screen all topics, everywhere in the forum to catch shit posters, and give them punishments. So, more moderators is not a solution, that is also why we have witness the launch of merit system.
Thanks Theymos, forum admin, because of important decision to launch such powerful system for the forum.
559  Other / Meta / Re: How hard it is to Rank up? on: March 31, 2018, 06:46:02 AM
A shitty merit, i have never seen anyone who can get a rnk rise from Full member to Senior Member, let alone Senior member to Hero or Legendary, if the forum dont want to let user get a rank up, why not cancel the rank immediately?
Haha. Looks interesting, guy!
Your post-history completely show me shits. Your threads tend to concentrate on altcoins child boards (altcoin discussions, announcements, bounties, etc.) and most of them are one line threads.
In addition, you have gotten 247 acitivities now, that means you should be ranked up to Senior Member with old ranking system. Due to magical rules of new ranking requirements and merit system, you have been stucked at Full member rank.
Moreover, one interesting thing about you is around 3 months after the launching day of merit system, you have not received any merit point.
Haha, I guess it due to your extremely 'constructive, high-quality' threads.

You should be stucked at Full member rank forever, which will be better for the forum.

Congratulations, bro.!
560  Other / Meta / Re: How many posts are needed for the different member ranks on: March 30, 2018, 03:40:10 PM
This thread shows the danger of allowing expired threads to be bumped by spammers. The information in it is useless now that the ranking criteria have changed. Please read the stickies rather than this out of date info.
Sometimes, I saw someone replied to a topic, then clicking in to see what the guy discussed about. What I found are the same as yours with the current topic. Old topics revived somehow by someone. It's probably to increase post-count, nothing more than that shitty purpose. Joining topics in Meta board, which is one of the most interesting, serious boards in bitcointalk forum simply to show their shits.
They should leave the forum some day.

In addition, old topics which don't get any new threads over years should be locked automatically by the forum bot (if available).
