I working vigorously on PICISI, a crowdfunding website presently under construction. There will be many paid sponsorship opportunities when the site launches however prior to launch I have created some free sponsorship opportunities. If you are interested in one of the remaining 3 spaces contact me before they are all gone. At PICISI here are our primary sponsorship opportunities: 1) Host CC Sponsor - the best way to get your coin used by the general public is to get your coin into their hands and have them use it in a real life currency application. When an organizer starts a campaign at PICISI s/he has a choice of what CC currency type to select, the first choice is “sponsor currency” this is the organizer indicating a willingness to have his campaign sponsored at the host CC level. Once the sponsor is finally selected that currency will be the currency that all other CCs donated to that campaign will be converted to for the duration of that particular campaign. This is major because everyone that visits that campaign will see your currency, but the will not only see but will likely use the funds to do business with one of the contractors at the site during the campaign. If they don't use it during the campaign, over that month of close interaction with your currency they are very likely want to learn more about your coin so that by the end of the campaign they will make the deliberate decision to download a wallet, open an exchange account, or simply convert out of the currency. Regardless of what they actually choose to do your CC has certainly been branded into their mind in a very positive way. 2) Campaign Sponsor - this is the most common type of sponsorship outside of PICISI; the sponsor’s logo is affixed to the body of campaign text in an area set aside for campaign sponsors. The higher your donation the higher your logo is located in the sponsorship logo area. 3) Donor Perk Sponsor - a sponsor provided perk escrowed by PICISI on behalf of a specific campaign where it will be used. If the perk is not requested by any qualified donor it will be converted to host CC and donated to the campaign 4) Advertising Perk Sponsor - a sponsor provided perk escrowed by PICISI on behalf of a specific campaign to be used as a perk or returned to the sponsor. If the perk is not requested by any qualified campaign donor the perk is sent back to the sponsor -- the perk is NOT donated to the campaign. and 5) Campaign Video Sponsor - the first 5 second of the campaign organizer's video is allocated for the Campaign Video Sponsor, this is where the sponsor will indicate: “This video is brought to you by … [say sponsor's name, show sponsor's logo, and say sponsor's catchphrase]” PICISI is currently sponsored by:

I think there are probably only a tiny handful of people that would be offended by such action, however that same tiny few may be so grumpy that they would seek to blow it out of proportion and cause real damage.
I think the solution is for the site to institute a Knock-N-Wait default system. If you don't mind receiving all offers you could opt out of the KNW system, otherwise everyone is in. Here's how it would work, let's say you (sender) want to send someone (receiver) a business opportunity invitation, first you send the KNW message, if the sender is blocked by the receiver a message will be returned to the sender asking them to no longer contact that individual, the receiver will receive no message; if no block is in place then a message from the site telling the receiver that sender is requesting permission to make direct contact. This gives the receiver the opportunity to investigate the sender before permitting correspondence. If the receiver accepts the invite a message is sent to the sender indicating that direct correspondence is welcome.
In this way everyone must be announced before direct correspondence is received, it allows everyone to not respond, or to say no (even after they first said yes), and it allows the great opportunities to go to those who are informed and engaged.

If you like the direction PICISI is traveling you are invited to support us with sponsorship and to share our message with your constituents. ______________________________________ A recent PICISI article: 7 KEYS TO PICKING A SOLID CRYPTOCURRENCY The internet age has birthed a number of new business sectors that are changing how business is done globally, one of those sectors is Crowdfunding and another is Cryptocurrency (CC). There are nearly 2000 different CCs to choose from the biggest and most popular is bitcoin, but are there other great opportunities to find? The answer is yes, if you search and research carefully. Here are 7 keys to picking a solid cryptocurrency: 1) Creator’s Vision – every CC creator has a plan, most of the time the plan is focused around high technology, and/or sophisticated features, often absent from common plans are marketing, distribution, or adoption strategies. It is recommended that you know the CC creator’s vision for the CC even if the developer is no longer personally available. A supportive community should be able to articulate a clear vision for the currency. PICISI is the creator of Pi, they have a well articulated vision for the CC. Pi will be used more as a currency than a commodity. As a currency Pi will be used a) as a means of exchange between Promotion Contractors and PICISI; b) to raise start-up funds and to procure multiple operational licenses; c) as a host CC option for Campaign Organizers at PICISI; and d) as a payment alternative for PICISI sponsors paying fees. A major aspect of PICISI’s vision is the plan to “rebuy” Pi on the open market. 2) Integrity – decentralization in the CC industry essentially means: ‘no central point of responsible’ however to some it means: ‘many are independently willing to accept responsibility’. Responsive, accountable, and transparent are character traits often used to describe good caretakers of a currency. Although Pi is technically a decentralized currency because it is built on a decentralized platform, it should be viewed as a hybrid because a large amount of the currency will be controlled by PICISI. 3) Community – all of the people directly involved with a CC including: the creator, administrators, investors, supporters, anyone that uses the CC, watchers/trackers/followers of the CC, regular contractors for the CC, including the uninvolved supporters (endorsers) of the CC should be considered part of the CC’s community. Some good sign of a healthy community is daily interaction, regular update of meaningful content, some form of leadership, a healthy mix of membership tenure, respectful interactions, and a growing membership. PICISI is at the prelaunch stage with an impressive community size of about 40 members: 2 admins, 22 sponsors, 16 Promotion Contractors, and 6 volunteer. Their prelaunch strategy clearly is to ‘hit the ground running’ to insure a healthy beginning. 4) Structure & Security – in the CC universe centralization is a bad word, however whenever a major upgrade is needed or the market rate for the CC takes a disappointing turn investors are always looking for someone to “handle it”. Foundations, elected leaders, and/or individuals who ‘step-up’ to assume leadership roles are stabilizing forces for a currency. At every point in the development of a currency security is vital, safety enables a currency to be able to grow into a strong currency. Pi’s security is built into the security of NXT and NXT’s Monetary System; that association is also what technically qualifies the CC to be considered a decentralized currency, however since PICISI will likely control a majority of the units much of the time, for practical purposes it should be considered centralized, or perhaps ‘hybridized’. 5) Purpose & Productive Performance – a CC should have a well articulated purpose, after the code is written, community gathered, and allocations made … what then? At some point a currency must perform as a currency otherwise it is a commodity, or worse a space holder. Productive performance means it has an articulated purpose and is visible, recognized, and woven into the culture. Pi’s purpose is articulated in the developer’s vision, the currency was created to be used mainly as a currency for 4 specific purposes, however the primary purpose for the currency is a means to pay Promotion Contractors located worldwide for providing services to tell the rest of the world what PICISI has to offer. 6) Utility – between ‘purpose’ and ‘performance’ is ‘adoption’, adoption of a currency often refers to merchant acceptance or willingness to accept a currency. Utility often refers to a currency’s usage. Many times CCs create for themselves a niche market choosing to focus on a particular segment of the market instead of the whole market, eg: HYPER and GoldPieces focus on the gaming industry, and EMC2 and Gridcoin focus on science research. PICISI has chosen to limit the market size substantially by tying Pi to the business. The currency was built to serve the business needs of PICISI. Although it will likely expand far beyond it’s original plans; and 7) Meaningful Drive – is marketing and outreach that enables you to provide your target audience with additional perspective or detail. This is in contrast to irresponsible hyperbole or rhetoric. Cryptocurrency is a complex subject, those who are responsible for promoting a currency should be willing to explain every detail to you in terms that you understand. When considering a cryptocurrency to invest in, think on these things.

Strange, they have received $1.3 mil VC and they says they were not able to secure enough of VC. Only 9 employees. I do not think this is the reason for them closing down, maybe they were unable to cope with the competition.
Whoah, where the hell did that money go? $1.3 mil funding? and then only 9 employees wtf. how much are they paying themself? dude these investors dont question on their payroll? if I started a company, I would pay myself nothing the 1st year, until I got even profit. that could have been one of the strings attached to the deal. $1.3M could have been pure inventory, not anything for salaries, nothing for other expenses either, and on top of all of that they become a partner in the business but don't need to do any of the work. $1.3M is about 5200 btc now you figure out how to move that around enough to make sure everyone can make a living off of it.

I received the following email...Farewell friends. Buttercoin will be turning off our service on April 10th at 11PM Pacific. Be sure to move your bitcoins to another service and remove your dollar balances by Friday April 10th at 11PM. For reference... Dollar balances not removed will be sent back to the accounts they came from. Bitcoin balances in Buttercoin after April 10th will be converted to USD and sent to the bank linked to your account. It’s been a wonderful ride and we're delighted to have created a service so many people enjoy. With the dip in bitcoin interest among Silicon Valley investors, we weren't able to generate enough venture capital interest to continue funding Buttercoin. We remain 100% secure & solvent with all customer funds accounted for. We started Buttercoin with the goal of creating secure and scalable bitcoin infrastructure the community could rely on. We committed to building a service with excellent Security, Technology, Liquidity and Compliance. We're proud to have delivered on our goal and commitments. We wish you all the best and will be around personally if you have questions or just want to talk bitcoin. You can reach us via hello@buttercoin.com. Our staff has always been humble, but are among the most talented in their fields and we're excited to see them go on and be leaders in their industries. – Team Buttercoin hate when this happens, wish they would have sold, but then again I would not want to see another Moolah mudding of a good name (Mintpal) occur.

uhmm, I doubt it ...
in my eyes it seems the bitcoin community has decreased dramatically, not just in market cap value, but also in trade volume, community size, community participation, and many other ways. The most fundamental reason prices are low across the board is because there is more supply than demand.
I don't think that in absolute numbers, Bitcoiner population has decreased. A lot of users have lost their interest in Bitcoin and can be branded as "dormant users" right now. But I hope that this phenomenon is a temporary one. You used the term "dormant" which by definition means not growing. But I can't let you off the hook even with that because the numbers have actually gone south, in real terms. Activity at BCT is at a relative crawl compared to previous years however membership enrollment is going up, clearly a few people are getting loads of memberships with the hopes of selling them. The con games, the schemes, the ponzi, PND, etc ... has injured the CC industry ... the BTC tumble over 80% of 2014 is the proof. All of that nonsense has driven lots of meaningful interest away. Take a look at the stats at Alexa.com what you will see is negative growth -- shrinking

There's no doubt that bitcoin community is growing by the day, but there are confusion among the existing users. So this kind of movement should put some believe into those hopeless people that Bitcoin does have the power to rise.

The most fundamental reason prices are low across the board is because there is more supply than demand. I'm seeing many CC businesses open and close in the blink of an eye. Also, the "real investor" pool is evaporating. I wonder what your reference is?

“They are all very interested, but it comes down to having some kind of regulatory clarity as well as to the technology available—whether you have something they feel is trustworthy, whether you have a big enough capital base, whether you have good enough technology,” he said.
We are getting there. Regulatory clarity is a lot higher now, than it was 6 months ago. There is discussion on Bitlicences and more and more governments across the world are acknowledging bitcoins and taking a stand. Very soon, big investors will feel confident of taking the plunge. If they do due diligence they will find this site and do lots of reading, if they take the short cut (which I'm sure they will) they will simply look at the markets and foolishly believe the numbers are accurate. They won't know the level of scams and schemes that plague the currency, nor the real risks that come with heavy engagement. The CC industry needs safety and security before mass injection of cash, otherwise it will all just disappear

BNY Mellon Explores Bitcoin’s Potentialhttp://blogs.wsj.com/cio/2015/04/05/bny-mellon-explores-bitcoins-potential/Bank of New York Mellon Corp.BK +0.85% is experimenting with bitcoin, the disruptive digital currency, which it views as a potential new way to conduct financial transactions. But the bank is still working through the challenges of using the open source technology, whose decentralized architecture differs from the traditional computer systems businesses run today. Some economists warn that crypotcurrencies — there are dozens of them — are risky because they lack backing from a central authority, such as a bank. Despite the potential risk to their businesses, banks are intrigued by bitcoin’s underlying blockchain technology, an online ledger that records all of the bitcoins that have been created and the identities of who holds them. The blockchain provides digital assurance that bitcoins have been exchanged. I love the article except that little part there. The article proves that BTC was farrrr ahead of its time and that kids should not be given adult things to play with.

Oh boy, that's all the CC industry needs some scamologist to mix 2 part BTC, with 1 part Amway, a splash of ponzi, and a twist of paybase
Inasmuch as I truly wish it was real, true, and honest, all of the hallmarks indicate otherwise. PLEASE prove me wrong, please.

I found a very interesting site last night. Betkurus.comYou can bet in various currencies without conversion by using their bitcoin-to-fiat conversion service in real-time on their exchange platform. Pretty cool right? I can just enjoy betting with fiat currency without needing a bank account. cool, but could you tell me more about: "Trade || BTCitcoin & Altcoins || live at - AltoCenter.com - Automatic deposits and withdrawals."? It sounds like something that is a good fit for PICISI.
