541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: December 22, 2023, 09:29:57 PM
I never thought someone could get rich easily from gambling, no matter what game they like. Sports betting is very interesting, but if gamblers want to make a lot of money by becoming millionaires from these bets, then I think they should also be prepared to lose millions of dollars on it. Moreover most sportsbooks limit the maximum payout amount for a gambler's winnings and this is one of the reasons why gamblers will not become millionaires in a short time, unless they win parlays several times a month.

But really, if a gambler has set their sights on becoming a millionaire in a particular gambling game then I think they have neglected the greater possibility of losing each bet. They must be prepared to accept defeat and lose everything before their target is achieved.
The million dollar class of gamblers may be able to make millions of dollars in winnings on every game, but the risk of losing millions is also very easy in sports betting if their predictions are not correct, but they rarely bet for millions of dollars and only on certain matches that they predict can potentially win sports betting. Millions class gambling possibilities for real casinos but for online gambling there may still be limits on withdrawals and high withdrawals will require strict verification, they will definitely be wary of that and some gamblers avoid tax deductions from the withdrawal process at online casinos.

However, if you aim for a high win but a low bet then they have to win the parlay of the match, even though it offers a high win but it is difficult to achieve and when your guess is wrong on the parlay bet you will lose everything.
542  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you rather start/grow a business from scratch or buy an existing business? on: December 21, 2023, 10:45:08 PM
Yes, you run from scratch is hard but the awareness and knowledge you do have on a business is great comparing that you are just simply buying it. Somewhat its true
that it would really be that simple on buying on specially that everything has been set up and you do really just need to run it with different management of course
but we know that there's still imposed risks when it comes to it. Doesnt matter on which one you would be choosing on which both
things will really be requiring that time and handling and budget and on everything.
I differ from your opinion on this, because entrepreneurs who want to buy a business already have high entrepreneurial knowledge compared to new entrepreneurs and already have a history of experience managing large businesses before, they also already have plans, budgets, and other things to develop the business. Sometimes they buy a business at a high price because they already know the potential for higher profits from the business.

However, if business people do not have sufficient knowledge and have a limited budget, then the right choice is to open a new business to improve entrepreneurial abilities in managing the business.
543  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin will accepted worldwide for legal then price rising $100k?? on: December 18, 2023, 05:11:25 PM
I think the problem will even be from the laws and legal force in each country, since the laws are very different in the countries and finding a solution that will suit absolutely everyone will be unrealistic.I think for any user the most important thing is an exchange in two directions, and the laws and loyalty of the state are not so important.
All problems will always have a better solution when everyone is so aware of the laws and regulations in their respective countries, because in all countries there are always exchanges that have permission to operate smoothly enough so that it will not be difficult for those who want to accept Bitcoin like like receiving fiat money in life. So there is no need to worry about laws because when all countries and all people have accepted Bitcoin equally in their lives, of course there will also be special laws against it.
Each country has different legal regulations that regulate cryptocurrency users as a tool for investment and even make bitcoin a legal means of payment, but some countries regulate strict regulations for cryptocurrency or even prohibit it for any purpose of use. However, overall cryptocurrency developments are very positive because relatively all countries have made a positive approach to accepting bitcoin despite implementing strict restrictions so that it does not displace legal currency.

The government has considered regulations to give operational permits to exchanges that have relatively large volumes, they see the high tax revenue side of exchanges so they are implementing new regulations to allow crypto exchange operations even though the regulations are only to regulate asset exchanges and for investment, but this is only initial stage to grow more of the population using bitcoin globally.
544  Economy / Speculation / Re: High transaction fees affects those who DCA on: December 18, 2023, 03:38:12 PM
No matter how risky exchanges are, we need them at this time and it is good that before anyone uses an exchange, they should ensure that it is somewhat a reputable exchange. There are some exchanges we are sure that they are not winding up tomorrow. So, it is fine we use such exchanges at this time of mempool congestion.
We have no other choice but to hold assets on exchanges due to unfavorable transaction cost conditions, but most traders store assets on trusted and reputable exchanges because in many cases they lose assets on exchanges unexpectedly and they have experience holding assets temporarily on exchanges. , when transaction fees are normal, immediately transfer bitcoins to a personal wallet or hardware wallet for asset security.

The impact of market correction is also beneficial for those who will increase bitcoin assets using the DCA method, they can collect more money while waiting for normal transaction costs, they will buy more bitcoin at the dip price, bitcoin may be corrected below the price of $40k if we see support a price of $40k that can't seem to survive the impact of a market correction.
545  Economy / Gambling / Re: Banned from RollBit for Italian users on: December 18, 2023, 03:06:40 PM
but I'm thinking of another solution option, if he hasn't applied for KYC but he uses other people's data from a legal gambling country, will the KYC be accepted?

I wouldn't recommend doing this. Not only because it is cheating but because it will do nothing but complicating things and making it harder to reach a friendly resolution for the problem.
Casinos already know about these cheating techniques and it will be hard to fool them. In OP's friend case, Rollbit asked him to verify his identity because they most likely know he is from a restricted country. If he submits fake documents, they will definitely ask for a extended verification such as a video call.

Better be honest and if you are lucky enough, they might let you withdraw your initial deposit.
Maybe my suggestions and solutions are not to be imitated but I only provide solutions to deal with problems experienced in being able to withdraw funds, I mean he transferred the account to another person to verify KYC and also for video call verification if needed, but I hope they are given permission to withdraw the initial deposit without needing to verify the account. However, everyone should pay attention to the terms and conditions even if you don't like reading a bunch of boring sentences but the fact is that all the rules depend on those sentences, users need to skim through the TOS to make sure there are no rules prohibiting their country from gambling at that casino.
546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Behavioral Change!!! on: December 18, 2023, 02:33:31 PM
I know of someone who came back home after losing some money and used a broken bottle on his father because he shouted on him and tried to scold him for his irresponsible way of living, the father landed in a hospital but he nearly lost his life, the son later revealed that he lost a lot of money in gambling and he was so mad that he could do anything to harm anyone.

There is also another that lost a big amount of money and he decide to put the blame on a co-worker, he stole some.money at work to repay the money he lost in gambling, and make the co-worker look like the culprit, he was arrested and during questioning he confessed it all.

Gambling can change the way you think, either for good or for worse, if you don't risk what you are not ready to lose you won't have any problem, you can only misbehave if you lose money that you aren't prepared to lose, this is also what drives people to committing suicide.
This incident is very ironic, I can't imagine someone who hits or criticizes his father until he experiences life-threatening pain and his father is in critical condition in hospital, and many other cases have an impact on changing behavior towards your parents and family, they have lost their mind to hit anything what they saw and their anger was so high that it was uncontrollable, all due to losing at gambling. Gambling addicts who act criminally should be estranged from their families because they can do anything unexpected, unless they realize the mistake of stopping gambling and are willing to be rehabilitated to recover from gambling addiction.
547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: December 18, 2023, 02:22:14 PM
But I think no matter how they are engaged if they realize what is going they will eventually change but the problem is its always too late, its only when they have lost everything the only time they will quit, but sometimes the other way around like what others are saying became more addicted, instead of quitting, but at the end of the day, it will come down to what are their priority in life.
The majority of gamblers change when they realize they have lost everything and they tell themselves they will not repeat the same mistake and stop gambling completely, but very rarely can gambling stop while they still have finances, they will continue to gamble without caring whether they lose or win from betting will not change the decision to stop gambling.

But we know that it is very difficult to remind addicted gamblers to stop gambling, their minds have been influenced to gamble without considering the risk of loss, even though we have effective solutions to treat addiction problems, we can remind them to apply limits on the funds used for gambling, they must gamble responsibly without damaging financial management for other needs.
548  Economy / Gambling / Re: Banned from RollBit for Italian users on: December 17, 2023, 10:20:57 PM
From the image above, it's clearly stated that users from Italy and the rest above mentioned countries aren't allowed to use their services. So it might have been a fault from your friends end since he is an Italian. This shows why it is very necessary to read the Toc of and service before using them.
His friend had ignored the TOS before the casino service had been used, after he found out that users from Italy were rejected then he complained here but unfortunately there is no solution to that problem because it is very clearly stated that Italy is on the list of countries that are prohibited for casinos, hopefully it will be experience for anyone to read the TOS before using casino services.

but I'm thinking of another solution option, if he hasn't applied for KYC but he uses other people's data from a legal gambling country, will the KYC be accepted?
549  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will it Hold? BTC Targets $40,000 on: December 17, 2023, 09:50:10 PM
I think the resistance is still there at 20k, and everyone has the right to give their predictions.
but that is the worst possibility, currently bitcoin is solidly above 40k$ so it is not too much to worry about, and there may also be a decline in the near future, but not deep and not too worrying.
It is possible that a correction could occur, but it will probably start when we enter the end of the year, because usually before entering the halving era, a correction will occur. But how far will the correction be? If,  at the end of the year, it can stay at $40K, it could be half corrected before it moves slowly into a period of increase. Indeed, it is only a matter of time before entering the increase, apart from the fact that there is big news that can cause predictions to shift, but it is unlikely to be significant.
The market price will not be corrected by half of the price of $40k, I think that prediction will not be possible in the current market conditions, even though the market is currently being corrected but the market is in a period of positive support to rise before the halving, I think we don't need to speculate excessive in the current correction conditions because the crypto movement pattern is always a low correction after a significant price increase, I am optimistic that the market will close the increase above $45k by the end of the year and the market will increase significantly in Q1 next year.
550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is fun, watching with bet or without a bet? on: December 17, 2023, 09:36:01 PM
I think I prefer to watch a game without a bet. I'm calmer when I don't bet. I analyze and see the game better. When I have a bet on the game, all I care about is my bet, I don't care how they play.
It's just like when I'm watching a game where I'm neutral. I don't care who wins, I just want to enjoy both teams play. The only thing that can go wrong is when that game turns out to be uninteresting.

Sometimes if the game goes exactly how I predicted, I'll start regretting why I didn't bet on the game. It happens to me a lot.
But I also like watching a game I bet on. I like to see how they play so I'll know how to place my bets next time.
You are right, if we don't bet on matches then we will enjoy the game more throughout the match without the burden of thinking about the results of the match because we don't care which team will win the match, but when you bet on a certain team you will fully support it until your team wins and if If your team doesn't win then you lose the bet. Many gamblers also sometimes don't watch all the rounds of the match because they are worried they will lose their bet, but you should not bet high on sports betting because every match is difficult to predict, sometimes popular teams can also lose to lower class teams and many other unpredictable factors in each sports bets that do not meet betting expectations
551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: December 17, 2023, 09:08:32 PM
Well dont get mad on what other peoples opinion would be on which we do have our own perception towards gambling and towards on being lucky on which it is true on what you have said
that despite on being that good as an experienced gambler but literally luck would really be always the end game or thing that you would really be needing because if you dont that that on the said time,
no matter how good your analysis is, it would turn out to be a shit result when luck doesnt favor you. This is why it would be always be best that you should really be wary with those
possibilities or with those probabilities because there's no way that we could be having that guaranteed or 100% sure win.
Every gambler bets will hope for luck to support winning, because pro level analysis cannot guarantee luck to win or any gambling support tool cannot guarantee luck on every bet, so that is why gambling is associated with luck and odds even though the chance factor is often ignored because Odds do not provide convincing points for predictions of winning in betting, gambling is very unpredictable so you have to be careful placing high bets and keep betting normal amounts so that you don't experience high losses.
552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: December 17, 2023, 08:24:53 PM
Highlighting would really be just enough, there's no need for you to read up the entire text just to know on what are those prohibitions which might
really be that affecting you.

1. Country restriction
2. VPN access
3. Deposit/Withdrawal limits
4. KYC requirements

Once you do able to spot out these information and check it out whether it does affect you or not, then youre good to go.
With those terms on which most of the time it would really be just that indeed the same. You would really be just needing to snip
out on whats important so that you wont really be that wasting up your time on reading up the whole text.
The terms and conditions at each casino are the same as the summary of the 4 prohibitions that you have posted or there are several other prohibitive conditions, but even though they are rarely applied to casinos, we just pay attention to the terms and conditions, even if only briefly, to ensure that there are no conditions that are detrimental to gamblers/users. I think gamblers no longer want to verify KYC on gambling because they want to be anonymous and don't want their gambling identity to be published, but they have no choice because almost all casino sites have to complete account KYC and may still give dispensations for withdrawals without KYC but for certain withdrawal limits .
553  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: December 17, 2023, 05:01:47 PM
By the way you are also right it can hard to know  the information about Bitcoin is trusted or not. Some sources give wrong information... but there is good sources too that teach us important things. It might take time to figure out... which sources is good but it is important to stay inform and look for trusted sources.
Every information you get from any source must be identified as the initial source of information, so don't trust the source of information without checking the truth of the information on other information sources, don't even completely trust bitcoin information on website sources, some negative news on the crypto market without a clear source and their media often publish news based on assumptions to influence panic during market corrections. In my opinion, the only trusted sources of information are the Bitcointalk, Telegram and X forums, but it must come from a trusted account.

Quote
But if anyone using the DCA method so I think this is the best strategy which should not be changed. If anyone want to change strategy so this is better he/s should make a new plan of investment.
The DCA method is very effective for realizing the crypto investment that you have planned according to your individual finances. I think if they choose another method it is very risky for the unpredictable crypto market, so we don't need to look at other methods but we can combine the DCA method with Another investment method to be able to handle the risk of loss, according to the topic title "Buy the Dip, and Hold!" is an important part of the DCA method, so investors or traders who apply the DCA method have planned to save reserve funds to increase investment at the DIP price, and they will hold for the long term until they reach ATH 2024.
554  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you still use Banks ? on: December 16, 2023, 10:18:05 PM
99% of my shopping activities to date are still dominated by debit cards issued by banks, moreover there are many bonuses that I can receive if I use a debit card at the supermarket, it's not that I don't want to use crypto currency, but in my country the rules prohibit using crypto currency as a This means of payment is very unlawful, only the rupiah is recognized here, even other countries' currencies are not allowed to be used as a means of payment in my country, banks still control my financial activities to this day, it is still difficult for me to get out of it.
Many people still choose to save all their financial needs for shopping in banks, even though several countries have legalized bitcoin, but bitcoin tends to be used for investment. Moreover, in countries that have not regulated the use of bitcoin as a means of payment, you will be subject to the law if you make a transaction using bitcoin as a means of payment. It is impossible for us to save all our finances in crypto for daily needs and investments, I think we have to distribute each finance according to our main duties, save money for life needs in the bank and save investments in bitcoin, that is my current choice.
555  Economy / Economics / Re: What class of an investor are you? on: December 16, 2023, 10:01:11 PM
There are many whales in the market including here and outside here. Actually we can't know those who are whales and who are not since we don't know how much they have in their wallets. Bitcoin is decentralized so it would be very hard to know who owns a particular wallet and who does not since it is not attached to an exchange where individual identification would be known. There might be more whales here that the outside Market but there is no way we can actually know that.
We can guess that there are more whales in the forum than outside the forum, bitcointalk is an official forum that discusses all about cryptocurrency and other related matters so it is certain that whales really need valid information from official sources, so I am sure there are many whales here even though they are not active members but hunting for crypto information that they really need to hunt for profits from trading or investing.
556  Economy / Speculation / Re: What did you think will happen to Bitcoin before January? on: December 16, 2023, 09:54:03 PM
Before January meaning it is December right?  but we are in December now and bitcoin increases more than what the value when you created this thread so are we expecting that price will drop badly next  week or next?

I doubt that any of your thoughts are valid nor will happen because I can see that market will continue showing strength till January or even until  February .
However, there are no definite predictions or valid analyzes that can be responsible for certain market conditions in the future, all market patterns can change when hit by unexpected news and the market can also increase significantly when positive news is published in market conditions that are recovering. so we don't yet know what the market position will be like in the future, but with the current market conditions we can be sure that the market will achieve the highest price recovery until the halving period or Q1 period, the halving period is the expected support for reaching the highest market price.
557  Economy / Speculation / Re: Share your opinion on the market. on: December 16, 2023, 09:42:43 PM
I'm gonna speculate first that we will gonna be touching first the $50k before we have the major correction pre halvening. Still we will remain bullish but as the saying goes it's not a straight way to the top there will always be some detours for us to buy at a discount and for me that's the best chance we could ever have before this bull run go all out.
I think the market conditions have reversed, the facts from market analysis have proven a high correction to the price of $40k after a significant increase, although the price can bounce back to the price of $42k but this price condition does not last long, but if the market options can recover in less than one week for a bounce of $45k then it is likely that we will soon see a price of $50k for the highest price of this month, but everyone is expecting a low correction market price because many investors have passed the current market moment and they want to buy many assets at prices below $40k before the bullish.
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: December 16, 2023, 09:27:11 PM
One of the things that can affect our gambling lifestyle is greed. Greed can make us to lose big money when we bet so we need to be careful how we make financial decisions doing betting. We also need to make sure that we don't become too addictive to gambling which is one of the turn off for me.
All gamblers know that greed will worsen their finances but not all gamblers can avoid greed because of the desire to chase winnings from high bets, many other factors can increase greed in gambling without you realizing that you are also part of the gambling that follows greed, the most effective solution to stop greed is that gamble according to the fund limit for daily gambling and never place high bets, when you lose never deposit any more funds to bet.
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers trickily claims they wins the bet while they never did. on: December 16, 2023, 09:04:00 PM
It’s a pity, but the life of seemingly happy gamers is often lies and duplicity. And when they are asked the question: “Have you thought about suicide?” They are silent and frown.
Difficult question and they will not answer the question because they are defensive to justify their own statements even though they have lied, I think gamblers must be aware of themselves before they experience gambling addiction and the psychological effects of gambling which have an impact on their own losses.

The statement is very firm and they will think about overcoming all their gambling problems before they make a big mistake, they have time to improve themselves and stop defensive behavior that causes harm to themselves.
560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can I ask for refund if casino game has bugs? on: December 15, 2023, 10:02:54 PM
Yeah, why not? the question is, will the gambling site give you a refund and be fair because there is a bug that has been exploited? They can reason out that they won't be giving back refunds as the bug might not affected the outcome or the bet that you play. So it's a very tricky situation to proved your case that the bugs actually made you lose that game. And probably this is one reason why gamblers are not going to ask for a refund because they know that they are going to lose their case anyways. We may call it a double edge sword for bugs and exploits, and it's hard for us to provide a proofs, in my opinion.
However we will not get justice in that case unless you can prove that the bugs and exploits have compromised the betting system to the point of making many gamblers lose under any circumstances, so it is possible that the casino will issue refunds to maintain reputation but if the reports and evidence are inconclusive anyone, then your report is rejected and the casino never refunds your losses. My conclusion, your report depends on the response of many gamblers and if they doubt the betting system in the casino because they lost due to bugs, then the casino will consider a refund due to reputation factors.
