541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ross Ulbricht (allegedly a DPR of Silk Road) support & legal defense site on: October 08, 2013, 03:01:25 PM

The first one is bees. BEES, man. You can't trust bees.

The second one has been sold several times to increasingly shady people and is now being run out of a post office box in Kowloon Hong Kong.

Regarding the third one, the forums are full of complaints about this former T-shirt-company-cum-metals-dealer not doing their job correctly.

I would think we would rather try to rally around legit companies,

I found a problem with your otherwise rather prudent hypothesis.

I'm missing it..... help?

Name a legit bitcoin "company"  Grin

Hello, neel_sarwal aka motopaint12. You just deleted your post pointing out you are not neel_sarwal and I wanted to answer that in that case it is very good for you that both of your personalities went to the same middle school and mowed the same lawns and lived near the same ranch. A good friendship like that is a beautiful thing.
545  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt. Gox - Oct 15...demand official update on: October 08, 2013, 02:13:20 PM
MtGox is still the largest exchange by far, in almost every currency, for good reasons.

Perhaps you should get in touch with reality, Strue.

Last 24 hours
I cut the irrelevant part.  If you take an arbitrary 24 hour period, you can prove anything.  I've had larger 24 hour volume on OTC trading than CampBX on many days.  It doesn't mean my OTC exchange is larger than CampBX.

Try this average from the last 30 days:  http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/volumepie/

Tell me Mr. Anderson, what good is an exchange if you're unable to withdraw?

548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SilkRoad domain Seized? on: October 08, 2013, 12:49:39 PM
And who orders hits instead of dirtying his own hands? Exactly: young, good looking, educated, seemingly mild mannered men.

Funny that. Young, good looking, educated, seemingly mild mannered men are also the ones that lie about other young, good looking, educated, seemingly mild mannered men ordering hits on people.

There's only one logical conclusion. Let's order hits on all young, good looking, educated, seemingly mild mannered men. Problem solved.
549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SilkRoad domain Seized? on: October 08, 2013, 12:46:52 PM
Unlikely yes. But the more I think about this the more I realize DPR has one thing going for him. He does not in any way look like a criminal mastermind. He is a young, good looking, educated, seemingly mild mannered man. Not your typical violent drug trafficker.

LOL, do you know any drug traffickers in real life? Because the "typical violent drug trafficker" is a Hollywood movie cliche and rather the exception to the rule.

You clearly missed the point. That is what the prosecution is going to paint him as. Nobody is going to believe it.

Why do you think the prosecution would be idiotic enough to go for that angle? They're not accusing him of trying to beat those to men to death with his awesome ninja skillz, they're accussing him of ordering hits on these men. And who orders hits instead of dirtying his own hands? Exactly: young, good looking, educated, seemingly mild mannered men.

about .05€ at current rates but you have to think of it as an investment into the future. It is becoming quite popular Wink

Will I have to give autographs and stuff? I don't really like outside people touching me.

One in a pdf file would be appreciated but changing ur email in the profile to mine and naming the password to z4kryzehastakenovert3hw0rld is enough actually.
Where do i send my worldcoins to?

Please send your worldcoins to totallynotanNSAagent@nsa.gov

hm... sry for ot, but would it be possible to develop a way/device/software/service where one could pay with bitcoins only via voice/phoneline ? imagine you could say a certain passphrase and the sum you want to spend and this service would execute this order...

That's an excellent way to have the FBI empty your wallet while their tapping your phone. Someone should set this up.

557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am scared by the thought! on: October 08, 2013, 08:20:39 AM

558  Other / Meta / Re: About the recent attack on: October 08, 2013, 08:17:12 AM
Because it will be fixed if you reveal it and you lose access.

Not if you've got more than the backdoor you revealed.
559  Other / Off-topic / Re: Personal attack against charleshoskinson (split from Response to CIA FOIA request) on: October 08, 2013, 08:15:28 AM
Charles Hoskinson is currently promoting a ponzi scheme called bitshares. I am curious about the backstory here.
Does he have a history of shady dealings?

Not that I'm aware of. I was originally more concerned about the "lookatme"itis he tended to display, which thankfully seems to have subsided by now.

On the other hand there are currently at least three ponzis being promoted on the forums so we may soon be seeing a return of pirate-style shenanigans.
