541  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Samsung Evo 850 SSD. on: November 03, 2016, 04:16:40 AM
What's the capacity?

Woops, 250GB my friend.
can i gotta view the picture(s) and legitimacy? price is optional. btw please get to edit your thread title telling 250GB. if it is lower than $80 including shipping to Hong Kong, i will drop this thread to my wishlist.
fun fact: wholesalers locally is selling ~$90 or exactly HKD$740, as they are lacking of amount (250GB).
lemme know as well if you have any evo 960.
542  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Day trading as a minor on: November 03, 2016, 04:01:52 AM
I think many websites are having a "no age restriction" mentality with bitcoin. Unfortunately 95% of these websites who offers and promote such thing are the gambling sites. Now this maybe a good thing for bitcoin in general but is very bad for every person which is under the age of 18 and gets dived into gambling. I am sure a person under 18 cannot see the difference really well before good and bad choice and wrong or right.

I agree with you that the ones who can do this should be the trading, buy/selling companies of digital goods (which in fact some of the companies are doing this) so bitcoin gets another edge over the traditional form of money.
Actually every gambling site I encountered has an age limit. You may be not aware of that, because they won't enforce it or ask you for some kind of ID confirming you age.
But you will find info about age restriction in their Terms of Service for sure. If Op is serious about his trading then the only option is to use account registered by his legal guardians.
from me, in Poloniex as an example, IIRC they have no such restrictions but only can be traded with cryptos there. i did tell them mods how old i am, they didn't say it was illegal for sure though. Huh don't get me wrong, the age to trade them legally depends on where you physically located in, like Hong Kong.
543  Other / Archival / Re: Do you have paypal account even though you have bitcoin? on: November 03, 2016, 03:44:10 AM
unfortunately i am not yet to be the legal age to have a PayPal account, i will use paypal if i am of age, as long as they will be necessary, or i will use casheer (is that abandoned? AFAIK launched already but no messages about that).
544  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: please , advice me on: November 02, 2016, 06:23:01 AM
if you have experience with cloud mining , please drag the link of cheapest and honest compeny and drop it here .
and what about hasheer.com .

99% of cloud mining company are just ponzi scams so its best to stay away from cloud mining in first place. Its very interesting that newbie is asking with his only 1 post about "hasheer", you just found that site, right?  Grin

I agree and I can see that most of the people are suggesting hashnest and with explanation, if I am still able to invest with cloud mining and read comments here. Then probably I will try, but with the experience I had with cloud mining sites I really stopped, no matter what good comments will they give and support with any cloud mining, I doubt to trust them.
yeah, do not all the support the mining without user selectible one, you know ponzi one could be fixed periodically paid out, that's a red flag on mining.
545  Other / Off-topic / Re: Homeless man, Veteran, finds 30k BTC on hard drive! on: October 31, 2016, 11:58:29 AM
homeless people usually don't have a camera showing legit pictures of discovering that drive, and that requires two people and there was only one, even if he/she wanted help, this would have done without this to be posted, as they would carry a computer and get them the funds directly.
yeah it is surely a scam.
546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin accepted in over 10.000 Swiss locations on: October 31, 2016, 11:51:50 AM
as well as in Hong Kong, the place could have made most of the retailers accept bitcoin within a single day, but no third party plans that even though it is easy. you know that kind of payment should be implemented with bunches of trials to prevent ransoming.
congrats about the implementation of bitcoin in switzerland! Smiley
547  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: █► ChaterzHost ◄█► Cheap VPS ◄█► Shared Hosting ◄█► Free Bonus ◄█ on: October 30, 2016, 03:49:33 AM
i wanna talk about a suggestion if you don't mind, because you should setup some customizable dedicated servers, or increase the quota of the drivers. in a year, if the price is being more competitive, you can majorly soar your bandwidth like 1000m. would that be a big deal though?
548  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: please , advice me on: October 30, 2016, 03:40:41 AM
at the time in my brain, only www.hashnest.com is a legit mining site and the hash is based on its antpool (in association with other non-self miners). for the others, the mining sites with referrals are the scam for sure. if you don't wanna lose it all in a sudden, do not go with the site claiming 100% profitable.
549  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Should i make an App from where you can surf faucets with faster speed??? on: October 30, 2016, 03:21:30 AM
i don't think you will get a faster speed, you know in order to prevent faucet bot to clear the fund that is supposed to be for the others, captcha is required, unless you have captcha-free faucets. as well captcha is to prevent DDoS.
550  Economy / Services / Re: ★ Coinroll ★ Signature Campaign ★ on: October 30, 2016, 02:48:14 AM
Something wrong with the system today, my credit for this date under information said "-1 posts at $0.0005/ea and -1 new posts at $0.25/ea = $-0.2505 @ $712.00 USD/BTC"
as well as me, i think there is an update affecting the operation of this posting counter. Huh
what do you believe about the reason of this issue?
I remember bitcointalk loading very slowly, theymos mentioned an increase of packet loss, so maybe the bot couldn't verify our posts at 8 PM exactly?
not sure, then the people who is/are in charge of this campaign need to look into that. sometimes the system is necessary to verify if there is/are spamming. i usually get my verification at 8am.

552  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What's better? High freq or more ASICs? on: October 29, 2016, 06:19:33 AM
Having more ASICs is definitely better than increasing the frequency.

The rig will have a shorter lifespan if it is continually overclocked.
more ASICs will require a higher specification of a computer to secure bitcoins, and your network bandwidth will be higher in order to maximize mining efficiency. overclocking will as well losing in warranty. more ASICs means faster but more capital needed. higher frequency requires less voltage but will need more energy and lead that machine to roaring. both cannot get you more bitcoins even if with a higher hash share in such ultimately fierce mining competition.
wow but it needs mining to be secured.
553  Economy / Services / Re: ★ Coinroll ★ Signature Campaign ★ on: October 29, 2016, 01:17:47 AM
wow man, this signature campaign is just like a spectacular thing since i was moved from YoBit. unlike others, you are paying off-topic posts (as long as it is constructive). this could be a method to widen your advertisement coverage. btw this thread is not to be dead to ensure people will be able to voice or report issues.
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin was made illegal by your government would you still use it? on: October 29, 2016, 01:09:43 AM
for me, man, i would gotta engage a riot to bring back the freedom of trading, because bitcoin is the proof of freedom; with bitcoin banned, people would not be covered by the innovation as well.

Bitcoin won't be made illegal because it helps world economy, which is fallen.

If there were no more values to gain, the world would crumble down.

It's like a game when you have the last level to reach and then the game is over.

With Bitcoin, there have been added more new levels.
not all the way, bitcoins are depending on banks as bitcoin is being traded as fiats as of now.
555  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Free electricity == big advantage? on: October 28, 2016, 11:50:43 AM
Think logically about this. If you're receiving +100% ROI (so you put in $1000, you receive $2000) why would you think the university would Support you financially? If it's costing them $20,000/yr so you can make $40,000 they aren't getting any benefit to it and you'll be cut off so quickly. Hobby mining is one thing but setting up a huge farm to quit your day job is another. They won't stick with the free electricity for long at that rate.

And +100% ROI is completely unrealistic btw.
for sure, free electricity is also limited at this generation, and the 100%+ ROI leads me to have a suspicion of if people would simply get the free electricity to sell to earn funds without mining.
556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: btc and traditional banks on: October 28, 2016, 10:15:18 AM
i don't techinally trust banks, but because bitcoin relies on fiat, we have no choice but banks are prominent for bitcoin to survive until we can replace what bitcoin is backed by.
557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FACT CHECK: Bitcoin Blockchain will be 700GB in 4 Years on: October 27, 2016, 10:33:16 PM
bitcoin core to double the size of blockchain in 2017 IIRC, that's why the bitcoin blockchain is gonna be more than ever. how horrible if we cannot expand what our capacity has/have.

at least a micro SD card does a 256GB.

Hardware is not the rate limiting factor. It's just an added expense to get more space.

Bandwidth is the greater issue.
indeed, because synchronization js deciding if your bitcoin core is gonna work, that's why the bandwidth is be very prominent, and you will also need a high capacity storages.
558  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How would YOU handle this idea? on: October 26, 2016, 04:26:06 AM
gotta work on a new semiconductor, because that product using that method could be used by a group of people, getting you more funds. although the income is slow, it is major.
559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: October 23, 2016, 04:01:39 AM
I think it would not be possible, the same as the impossibility for bitcoin to be able to shift fiat, as long as there fiat bank will continue to exist
the bitcoin value is based on fiat, so bitcoin must come with a bank so far, unless the commodities are backable to bitcoin.
560  Other / Off-topic / Re: Graphics Card - Monitor Suggestions - Not for Mining in any way. on: October 23, 2016, 03:53:26 AM
buy a RX 480 is the best option so far, because Nvidia is gimping the highend people IMO.
if you wanna use it in blender, then you should get Nvidia though.
