541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Someone won freebitco.in lottery already? on: June 11, 2017, 04:59:26 AM
I don't know if all these reviews in this[1] thread are real or fake, as mostly just newbies claiming they won big and copy pasting in the same manner, I doubt its legitimacy The reason is this : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1850855.msg19390921#msg19390921

Could find just 1 big prize winner:

542  Local / India / Re: Please suggest a cloud mining service on: June 11, 2017, 04:05:52 AM
Hi guys,
I'm new to bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I wanted to invest in a cloud mining site to start off.
Could you guys suggest me one.
I'm thinking of going with HashOcean or Genesis Mining.
When can I be expecting ROI?
Cloud mining is not at all recommended. Especially the newbies get to such services to gain large amounts of bitcoins or doubling them but eventually the ponzi scheme falls down the they end up loosing. Many of the cloud mining sites are turning scam every other day.
If you really want to invest, then don't invest more than you can afford to lose !
543  Local / India / Re: Anybody here successfully filed IT returns with bitcoin gains? on: June 11, 2017, 03:57:55 AM
---
my doubt is that since the government has not recognised bitcoin, should we really need to file those returns.
---
We don't need to pay tax for transactions in bitcoins, but when we convert bitcoins to rupee, that is, selling assets (as bitcoin not yet recognized) in return for money(rupee) then we need to file IT.

By the way I haven't filed IT before, because currently I deal only in bitcoins, and never converted to cash.
Watching the thread.
544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Private key brute force tool on: June 11, 2017, 03:52:15 AM
You can use vanitygen with the full prefix to get a bitcoin private key but you will need to modify it a bit to not abort and tell you your being hilarious.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0

The sun will stop burning while you are less than 0.000001% done.

Yes, vanitygen maybe used to generate the private key for your lost address, but it would be case sensitive so it would take ~infinite amount of time to bruteforce it.
Edit :I ran a test and the vanitygen too rejects to have such a long string !

546  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Warning !!! about coinbase web wallet.. on: June 10, 2017, 07:23:42 PM
Coinbase is the worst that I have used. The user is not in control of their private keys, that dismisses the basic principle of bitcoin - decentralization !
Months ago my coinbase wallet was also closed by them without any proper reason, some say that receiving funds from gambling sites ceases your web wallet. But I got payment from faucets and its system stilled banned the wallet.
Although, I was able to withdraw all my funds, and now I use Electrum.

548  Economy / Services / Re: I'm sharing 0.009* BTC per Bitcoin you own by signing a message on: June 10, 2017, 02:49:43 PM
Glad to take part in this airdrop ! Received my bitcoins without doing anything.
I could have taken part in it's previous drop too, but no problem, looking ahead for next one.

Gotta get more btc  Wink !
549  Other / Meta / Re: Image Proxy on: June 09, 2017, 06:36:30 AM
That's not the correct link to the image. Click on it and you get dropbox error message. The user has deleted it.
BTW, I don't think the user is still in need of posting the image here, it was 3 years back !

The best way is to just copy paste the image on imgur and post here easily !
550  Other / Meta / Re: Can i change my username on these forums? on: June 09, 2017, 06:32:12 AM
Afaik only vip and donator can change usernames you can maybe try to ask theymos but the chance that he will grant the request is very low.

Why you have so many gaps in your posts did you bought the account?

theymos...? Like the legendary theymos on reddit, the same person :-)?

Gap you mean between posts? Just wasnt paying a lot of attention during the "boring" period of BTC (2014-2016 :-) ).
Yes, theymos is the same person, administrator of bitcointalk and moderator of r/bitcoin.

Coming back to the question, If you want to change your username, then you need to get donator tag by paying 10 BTC = 27,820 USD as of now.
If you are that rich to change your username on a forum, go on !  Cheesy
551  Other / Meta / Re: A questions about fixing the first post in the topic and about BB-codes panel on: June 09, 2017, 06:02:26 AM
---
P.S.: One more question - why do I see buttons for BB-codes only in the extended form of the answer?
Is it possible to make visible the BB-codes in a quick reply form? Well, or at least the main ones (bold text, insert picture, text color, text size).
Afaik, Currently there is no way to enable those button in the quick reply form. But as you want to use the formatting, you can still manually type the bbcode for bold, image, text,... respectively.
It's not hard to type ~10 characters and the codes are easy to remember !

as mocacinno said, don't expect the features to be implemented on SMF.
Though you may post about it in the "New Forum Software" board.
552  Other / Meta / Re: Lending section suggestion! on: June 09, 2017, 05:52:27 AM
The lending section is infested with people who try to scam money or are just too lazy to read the forum rules or use the forum search function about the no collateral no loan rules.
Is it not possible that newbies who are making a loan request will get some short op popup or need to read and understand this rule and then click some checkbox before the post will be submitted maybe this will help to clean this section or at least reduce the loan spam?

Sorry if this got suggested or asked in the past but it would be a very nice idea to implement a such feature
It's a nice idea and I think that it should be easy(?) to implement for the forum devs.
The message may come at the top of textArea similarly like we have for Posting on older threads or the message that tells that someone posted a reply while the user was typing.

BTW, there is a sticky thread already on the board, but newbies, especially with the intention to scam, don't even read it and end up getting red tagged.
553  Other / New forum software / Re: Abuse Detected on: June 09, 2017, 05:46:20 AM
AFAIK, servers are being changed at the moment. So it shouldn't take long. Probably the hardest part of this project is finding a way to properly migrate all of the data on Bitcointalk. This caused severe delays.
Any update about this issue? I'm still having the "abuse detected" error when I try to reset my password.
Even now the issue is not fixed. I tried bitcointalk beta months ago when it first launched, but recently I am unable to login again so whenever I try to reset password a popup regarding "Abuse Detected" is shown, though it's my first time today to reset the password.
I wonder if anybody's able to login there or everyone stuck at this false error message
554  Economy / Services / Re: I pay 25$/hour to explain me how to implement a BTC escrow with Ruby on Rails on: June 09, 2017, 05:40:32 AM
Why are there two ditto same threads[1] regarding the need of same service in the same board ?
You may delete the other one as it's spamming.

555  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Android Game with Cryptocurrencies [Alpha Stage] on: June 09, 2017, 04:31:16 AM
It looks very interesting, I am very hobby of playing games. I am very support and hope to get this game on my android

Looks promising, I'll follow closely. When you leave the beta let us know!

Thanks for your interest in the project, but as @Thekool1s said :

Yes I would be using Unity Engine. I was thinking to use google play games services to take care of the player scores and coins.
I don't know much about hacking, if you are experienced may you please provide some other alternatives ?

No Please don't go with Google Scores, they can be hacked quiet easily, You will need to work on a server based game which will handle all the calculations on the server, I recommend you to look into photon Networking and deploy a standalone server to which the players can connect and play the round there. All of the awarding should be done on the server not on the client app, Else you will be losing tons of bitcoins in no time.
The project would be kept on hold for some time after the server and security issues are analysed properly. The game may also differ from current demo.

@Thekool1s , I am thinking to use google cloud as a server and use unity for realtime multiplayer game, something like racing.
But till then, the thread will be locked but would reopen again !
556  Other / Meta / Re: No activity update's? on: June 08, 2017, 01:40:40 AM
The activity is not updated daily, it updates every 14 days. 3 days ago, it would have been an activity update day, but the next day would be 14 days from then. It does not matter if you make 1 or 4 posts, the update time remains same.
Here is a spreadsheet which will tell you the forum activity update time :

I am willing to give a vouch if you may. I frequently use video editors and photo editor softwares, so Photoshop and After Effects / Premiere would come in handy to me.
I currently have Creative Cloud Free Membership only.
add my discord or skype.
Just wanted to inform that this user is no longer selling these services. After few days of chatting, the seller (@VossProject) sent me this message :

559  Economy / Services / Re: Selling my signature for 1 year for 50-100$ on: June 06, 2017, 10:55:08 AM
Why are you wasting your time here on this thread when you can earn the same amount in few weeks ?
There are many active campaigns, and few recent ones too, that pay in bitcoins. No need to get some unknown altcoins too.
Just check the services section.
560  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can withdraw btcprominer?? on: June 06, 2017, 10:47:57 AM
I have ? $20 btc in btc prominer.I have several time to withdraw my btc bt it see my ipv is low.. and upgrade my btc pro miner...can you tell me if I upgrade my btc I can withdraw my btc$20 .... any body can help me plzzz
There every other day made posts about getting scammed from one miner site to another. Bitcoin is also money and you can't expect to double it magically. Don't invest in any of the so called cloud mining sites because 99.99% are pure scam. Keep your bitcoins safe with yourself.
