add +1 after your username and the number of accepts you see scrolling by will go way up. This works for me on 3332 but I don't know what happens if you use 8888 and MP switches to a different coin. This is my cgminer conf file:
{ "pools" : [ { "url" : "stratum+tcp://pool1.us.multipool.us:3332", "MultiPool" : " BitCoin (BTC) ", "user" : "Aurum.be +1", "pass" : "pw" }, { "url" : "stratum+tcp://pool1.eu.multipool.us:3332", "MultiPool" : " BitCoin (BTC) ", "user" : "Aurum.be +1", "pass" : "pw" } ], "balance" : true, "usb" : ":49", "hotplug" : "5", "log" : "5", "shares" : "0", "kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin", "icarus-options" : "115200:1:1", "icarus-timing" : "3.0=100" }
+1 will set your difficulty to 1 on the BTC port, however, that is way too low for fast ASICs and probably the reason that our efficiency has dropped by 20-30% on the p2pool port. (I'm not talking about worker efficiency, I'm talking about p2pool share efficiency. This has an impact on our rewards as a pool) It will also not work if you're using the multiport as that username won't be recognized on the other coins.

Whelp...this pool's done it seems. I have one machine, one worker, with 18 Block Erupters and one BFL 7GH/s Jalapeno. And it doesn't connect at all. In fact, CGminer is currently just a black 'screen'. Earlier all the miners stopped mining (erupters went 'green') and I thought the pool just went down. Guess not....because that was 4hrs ago. One of the proxies was malfunctioning on the SHA-256 port.. it's fixed now.

A 4th US pool server has been added to handle the increased load. Although there are only about 900 workers mining on the Scrypt Multiport there are about 6000 active US connections. The new server, along with the firewall and load balancing changes made last night, should help with stability and connectivity for the US pools.

account balance on wdc doesnt count
over 2h im mining and still i got 0 wdc mined
We've found and paid out blocks within the last 2 hours... Are you seeing accepted shares? still something wrong is with ur counting system here after over 17h i mined 36wdc on my 10000 kh/s on another pool after 5h i got over 40 so i think time to change pool with my all power I can only pay the blocks the pool finds. If you find some blocks we didn't pay out or have a problem with a specific block's payout, I'm all ears.

Cant connect to any of this pools: stratum+tcp://pool1.us.multipool.us:7777 / stratum+tcp://pool1.eu.multipool.us:7777 / http://pool1.us.multipool.us:17777Only one who can get connected is: http://pool1.eu.multipool.us:17777 and Im receiving over 22% rejects This doesnt seem to work anymore. Also the hash rate is reduced by 50%, however when i mine in other pools I get full hash rate speed Please fix this, in the meanwhile im going to mine using CGWatcher Are you trying to make more than 25 connections from a single IP?

connectivity should be better going forward on US pools. Also, I have added a hard limit of 25 connections per IP address. If you need to exceed this, please contact me so I can whiltelist you.

Just noticed that CGminer has ditched support for scrypt saying its not worth it over sha256... In case anyone else was planning to upgrade, I believe its 3.8 that removed scrypt. Hows that for a big middle finger to the altcoin community?
A couple weeks after he claimed scrypt wouldn't be removed for "at least a year"?

I'm setting up guiminer script, in the password section should I leave it blank? or should I use the website password?
You can use anything for the password, it isn't checked. You need to have something there though or stratum will barf.

Cannot connect to stratum, been using getwork. Can't connect to Worldcoin anymore directly. Hope problems get fixed soon. Good luck all!
Monitoring shows everything up. What exact host and port are you connecting to?

I upgraded last night.. Edit: The explorer appears to agree with me.

The pool appears to be under attack intermittently on the stratum ports. That's likely why some of you cannot connect. Please keep trying with a backup pool set until these attacks subside. I am attempting to mitigate as well.

PXC has temporarily been removed from the Multiport because the daemon keeps crashing. It will most likely be re-added after the hardfork or at least once the new developer releases the new version.

I have been getting an error in Firefox for the past hour: An error occurred during a connection to www.multipool.us. The OCSP server has no status for the certificate. (Error code: sec_error_ocsp_unknown_cert) The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Thanks for the report, submitted an Incapsula ticket regarding this.

Thanks for the donation warren and Litecoin devs!
I like the sub-pool idea. I've already contributed a patch (mostly taken from generalfault's stratum-mining fork) to log shares to a MySQL database. It would be great if this could be standardized and also offer clients the option of connecting using getblocktemplate as well as stratum or getwork. I've also written a custom difficulty patch that I can share. I like the idea of encouraging miners to use higher difficulty, but I'm not sure how well that would work with a sub-pool. There would need to be a way to pass that cost on to miners, especially if allowing them to set their own difficulty.
The DB share logging patch I submitted could easily be extended using the same stratum-mining code (the two licenses are compatible) to support PGSQL and SQLite.
You might also want to take a look at how stratum-mining distributes new work to miners as it seems much more lightweight than the way P2Pool does it.
