5501  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New member. Hi all! on: March 12, 2014, 10:46:51 PM
I finally figured out how to create my first post!
And it isn't very useful. Couldn't you have at least typed in a greeting alongside it or some question?

5503  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It has been over 24 hrs since I sant BTC Transaction still unconfiremd on: March 12, 2014, 10:34:00 PM
If it doesn't get confirmed, whatever client you are using usually deletes the transaction after some time.

yup exactly this, if something gonna be wrong, the transaction just gonna be recalled to u.

You can't do anything, but wait. If it doesn't get confirmed after 72h it should be sent back to you.

These three people are all lying to you.  I don't think they are doing it intentionally.  They are probably just misinformed and don't realize that they are spreading false information.

0-fee transactions usually take a long time (from a few hours to a few days) to get confirmed, but it will eventually be included in a block.

So, you need to be patient now Tongue

This is probably true, but not necessarily.  Although it is quite likely that the transaction will get confirmed eventually, there is no way to know if it will happen in the next few minutes, next few days, next few months, or next few years.  You are essentially waiting for some miner (or mining pool) to confirm your free transaction for you out of the charity in their heart.
Sorry for the misinformation. Edited and fixed my post. Correct me if I'm wrong again.
5504  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: March 12, 2014, 10:31:00 PM
Why do I think you and many others regarding this question are wrong?

5507  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dangerous to invest in new Altcoins? on: March 12, 2014, 10:19:22 PM
99% of the Altcoin clones are Pump and Dump.
Because so many people want their own coin. I wonder what will happen when BTC becomes mainstrezm - even more useless altcoins will be created.

As many people mentioned here, the fee is too small for any transaction.

BTC is good for long term investment. Store your BTCs securely and forget about it. Check back only after one year.
Well he mentioned it's not a real investment, only an assignment so he doesn't have a year.

Yeah what an idea of adding extra 3 digits after 0.00000001 BTC

However, you will still earn only 1 satoshi per day

It will take you forever to hit the minimum payment threshold of 5500 satoshi

Yeah, faucets used to be worth something. Now with the BTC value increase, it's pretty much impossible to collect the minimum amount.
