This happened, and I'm confused. It was a live bet. I'm looking for some answers? (Even though it's a measly 0.0004 BTC)

stop with the idiotic closed minded "I think you don't think" explanations & show me all you got. Otherwise you are a liar pussycat.
What does that post have to do with anything? OgNasty's involvement in Betcoin? That can't be used as justification. I'd also like to state again that Betcoin created the self-moderated thread to censor content that can be used against them. If only they would reply.
I've already linked the master list in my post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1322261.msg13507632#msg13507632.

5526  Economy / Economics / Re: 65 million dollars stolen (and counting) from Bitfinex and so what? on: August 05, 2016, 01:05:03 AM
Three people voted for "Nope, a lot more exchanges need to be hacked"?

Ignorant or trolls?

A decentralized distributed exchange would make such exchanges as Bitfinex, Kraken, Bitstamp, et al. unnecessary and obsolete, thereby totally eliminating the very possibility of a scam or a hack that happen now and then, again and again
A decentralized exchange would also be consistent with bitcoin's protocol Wink
There are a few topics here where this question has been explained in great detail (how such an exchange would work)
I'm sure that some tech-savvy programmers could conjure up a way to create such an exchange then if the topic has already been discussed a number of times.

Bit fines hacking wasn't the biggest in bitcoin history. I guess now after that bitcoin may seem risky for investors or those people who only start to open Bitcoin to themselves, newbies. But the problem is not in bitcoin, the problem is how to protect it from steal. Bitfinex's case sowed to everyone that it is dangerous to hold savings online. I plan to cash out my saving after bitcoin rise back to 700$.
Doesn't matter in the least if it was the biggest hack ever. It was another hack, and all of these are pointing toward corrupt exchanges overall. The world seems to be infested with them. I agree with what was written here, I would like to see a decentralized exchange if that's possible.  Something has to be done, and I'm sure governments are going to step in and regulate this stuff at some point.
Eh... not so sure about the governments stepping in anytime soon. Mass adoption (to the point where the government would begin to start regulating) seems like it's still pretty far away. However, something does need to be done.

I appreciate bitcoin  technology and people who are engaged in its development and I strongly believe at least the technology which is used here can be a basis for future technologies. It seems that you have a good engagement with bitcoin to with developing bots.
Like for example storj.io, which uses blockchain technology to create a secure cloud drive. Using the pre-existing technology is what paves the road to better develpoment.
5527  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: August 02, 2016, 01:17:08 AM
You do have to have a method for trading. I like to wait for the price to drop and then buy, but I keep some cash to buy again if the price drops more. That extra leverage can give you some peace of mind, but it takes away from what you could make if the price doesn't keep gong down. You just have to find a method that works for you.
Drop from what point? At what threshold will you stop if the market crashes? Buying every single time the price drops won't yield that great of an outcome in a bearish market.

Trading is similar to that of sports betting, if we're thinking about it. Outcomes can be occasionally predicted, but nothing is guaranteed. There may be more likely outcomes with certain factors in play, but teams or the price can always sway to another way either because of luck or manipulation.
5528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How about this for a winning run ($7600 made this evening) on: August 02, 2016, 01:03:06 AM
Wow, congratulation on winnings, nice to see when someone is wining big. I am just curious, is 500 eth your entire bankroll or part of it? And i don't understand last bet, first bet was 500ETH on 1.21X and last was only 2ETH on 1.22X?

Bankroll is 10x that.  The 2 Eth bet was just my little brother playing at betting.

Impressive win. However, I wouldn't really play at DirectBet (unless in their contest) due to their odds being worse than some of the other options. I understand that all these bets were with Ethereum, but there should be no reason not to convert it to Bitcoins then play with higher odds. It would be a greater win overall.

I miss PvP! What happened to that? It disappeared halfway through PD3.

About PD4: I don't like how the roll box is so large and blocky. I feel like there could be the option for a "default" spacing option and a compact spacing option. As well as this, the spacing of the top tabs (play, fairness, support, more) is not consistent. There's a lot of graphical problems that I have. To continue, under the more tab, the alignment of the text is not consistent. It fluctuates left/right: https://i.imgur.com/hngaO9I.png (don't want to embed image, warps response too much)

It just feels like you went too much for the "sleek" design, when the previous aesthetic was perfectly fine. It could be a problem with players adjusting to the new look, and this is biased feedback, but the previous one was fine.

There is no point for the roll slider, really. The animations and slide adjustments might be "cool" but there's no use in trying to improve anything that's already fine. The roll system is simple. It's easy.

One thing that could be added to the chat system: an online list. And perhaps, an "away" status or something similar if that is implemented.

Last thing: in the support tab, your username is filled in automatically. That makes sense. What doesn't make sense is the fact that you can change it. Why? It should be locked in to your username. (Or perhaps not at all if you can trace the support ticket)
5530  Other / Meta / Re: I do not endorse any website in my signature.<--Yes You Do! on: August 01, 2016, 11:43:29 PM
You are prolly right but not all participants are defending betcoin as a casino, some of them are also against other people censoring them.
I do not think that any casino that blatantly deletes and ignores posts [that poke at the casino's ethics and ask important questions towards them] should be trusted. As for people defending said casino, if they have been given the information and are still ignorant to it (or equally bad, are shills) and are still willing to advertise for it, which advocates a product, then it is clear that negative feedback can be applied. Warnings were given - it is not as if Lutpin is not offering the signature campaign members a choice.

Consider if this situation were to have happened physically and not digitally: if you were advertising for a real casino that did what Betcoin has, then shouldn't you too receive backlash at least in some form? It shows that you're associating yourself with a provider that is ethically wrong.

I'd also like to redirect this whole Betcoin talk down to BetSoft Non-Payment of Jackpot (somewhat active) and Betcoin.ag Retaliates (Collection of scam accusations against me) for anything against TwitchySeal and people defending Betcoin.ag (and Betsoft).

Oh, and finally: Betcoin.ag has a new signature campaign thread (which was previously probably the only way to actually talk to them about problems) which is now self-moderated to protect against spam (issues directed at them)
5531  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prices are falling on: August 01, 2016, 11:31:02 PM
In the last two days bitcoin prices are falling. Should I sell my coins or should I wait. Will the falling trend continues and we will be again back to $450 or something?
Buy more. If you've devoted time to bitcoin, then you clearly have decided to invest in it. If you're willing to follow that through to the future, then I would buy more and hold the bitcoins. I don't mean to hold until they reach an x dollar benchmark, no. I mean to hold them until you use them directly. After all, that is what we want, right? More adoption with merchants and consumers?
5532  Other / Meta / Re: Should Newbie and Jr. Member Not allowed to Post in Lending Section on: July 27, 2016, 02:46:56 PM
Seems you didn't got it right.
Seems you didn't get it right.

None of what you're saying has anything to do with Joel's post. Joel_Jantsen was stating that it would be negatively affecting the few newbies that actually do provide proper collaterals and get loans passed.

Reason is simple :Maybe out of the blue a newbie will happen to the forum with a valid collateral. It has happened before,I have seen newbies getting loans worth over 2+btc with their solid collaterals.Would be unfair to them although the chances of them asking loans here is once in a blue moon.

For a band new user, He only requires 14-15 activity to get promoted to Jr Member due to advantage of their starting activity boost.
Anyone can get to Jr Member account easily with their brand new account by making only 15 posts.
And can easily abuse this forum with it.
For a brand new user, it takes at least 2 weeks to get to Jr Member (should they sign up right before the activity increase). You can't become a Jr. Member with only 15 posts. Where are you getting your information from? As well, "abuse this forum with it"? How can they do that? By asking for loans? Negative feedback. Nobody's stupid enough to offer loans to anybody that doesn't provide valid collateral at that stage. Unless they're an alt*

When i had opened a thread for my lending service many newbie and brand new users asked me to fund them.
Actually it is so annoying. Also i knew they all are alts but i can't do anything except refusing them and wasting my time  Undecided
Simply ignore the newbies that don't have collateral. It's as easy as that. If you run a loaning service, you should be aware that you'll be getting requests from people who are bound to be scammers.

Also if they are legit then they can wait for a month to get 30 activity and get promoted to Member, which will only take a month.
Members are not at 30 activity. That would be a Jr. Member.

P.S.

Threads:

Newbies banned from some sections
Banning Newbies from requesting loans?
Ban Newbies in lending section
Ban newbies and jr members from loan section
Should we be doing a no tolerance policy on newbies?
Petition to keep newbies outta the lending section
Lending section disabled for newbie rank
Restricting lending section for newbies?
What if you had to be Jr. Member+ In Order To Request for a Loan
Impose a restriction for the lending subforum (from 2012) and that's the earliest one I could find. Either way, stop making these threads.
5533  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies banned from some sections on: July 26, 2016, 06:23:42 PM
I don't know if there is a thread about this, but i just noticed many newbies or some pretending to be newbies that i think they are trying to scam and is asking for a loan that is really high.

Why would anyone give a loan to a newbie?
It is like you giving money to some guy on the street that you saw first time in your life and expecting that he will return it.
If they have collateral, then you would give the loan to likely anyone as long as it's not fraudulent and can be sold off easily. (Of course, volatile shitaltcoins are not acceptable)

There have been a couple times that I've seen a newbie provide valid collateral and have the loan completed - some people do read the rules, shocking I know - and the main problem is the wannabe scammers who attempt to ask for those loans, hoping for someone stupid enough to believe their sob/business/huge investment stories. There are people worth providing loans to whom haven't been as active on the forum as other people who are scammers.

5536  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice Limits number of faucet claims in a day on: July 25, 2016, 03:20:54 AM
You might be true but as far as i know faucet farmers will increase as they will create more alts and try to spam the whole chat with Tip.

How? Before wagering at least 10 BTC, the faucet gives out 0.00000200 BTC, which is minuscule. It requires at least a 250x win to get within the tipping range, and that is a 0.4% chance of occurrence. Also, doing captcha every 3 minutes is a pain in the ass. Nobody has the time for that. Why would they spam the chat? They'll just get muted.

Using VPN tor and proxies they can do many things to frustrate chat !!
Muting exists. Also a waste of time. The chat isn't even that big of a problem. Their messages will just be swept upwards once they're unable to type.
5537  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: What's wrong with Betcoin.ag? Here's a list. on: July 25, 2016, 02:55:32 AM
Hey thanks for the reply and advice. I'm aware that most bitcoin sites aren't licensed but I'll try contacting curacao.

These guys have no authority over Betcoin, but they do collect player sportsbook complaints and post them to their site:

http://www.sportsbookreview.com/betting-sites/betcoin/
The more people we get away from Betcoin the better. These incidents might occur in the future affecting greater pools of people. I guess we can consider hec4mu and jasonort to be martyrs against Betcoin, helping to bring light to what they truly do?

@hec4mu, try to speak to as many people as you can about this incident. Do not sit on it and let Betcoin shove it under the rug and ignore it.

5539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the money, others are just applications on: July 25, 2016, 12:02:16 AM
bit coin is the best and most expensive crypto currency because it was the first coin to use the block chain technology.
So it kind of makes it the Original(like vampires) lol.
I'm not so sure in stating that it is the "best". There are altcoins that although have a far smaller market include very interesting technical developments that could shape new projects. The blockchain system can be applied to many things and bitcoin helped to birth that (like storj.io, which is awesome) yet there are more things that you could do.

Not sure about your analogy (the set, not the premise), but there have been other monsters before vampires. Mythology dates back far.
5540  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Beware] TwitchySeal: Abuses his Rep, replies to his own posts with alts, etc on: July 23, 2016, 08:45:17 PM
Hey guy, I am not a scammer.  I was a reputable member before I started the rakeback service.
So now you are?  Roll Eyes

Just because of one problem with a facet of the casino (one type of slot machine) not does equate to the entire site being a "scam" and extend to the poker room.
And what of these problems? I think Betcoin has proven many times that if they can not find a way to weasel out of a problem, then they will ignore it.

If I suspected Betcoin was a scam, I would NOT have began working with them a few years ago.
A site might start off legitimately, but it could always start turning more and more scammy. You may have begun working with good intentions, but money can change that.

Now I apologize for lashing out and saying you are 'Twitchy'.  TwitchySeal isn't just a one man party.  He admittedly said he has co-conspirators.
Reference and relevance? If he has a "team" or something similar, what does that have to do with anything? It helps with efficiency, and uncovering all the things that Betcoin has done.
