By 2140, the technological singularity would have happened and we would all be living in a post-scarcity utopia. There would be no need for money at all.
Yeah the main currencies will be guns, bullets, food and water, right?

Mushrooms give a lot of trouble.
Weed is legal here and mushrooms were, but too many students and tourists used them without proper knowledge and after eating them, many jumped out of a window because they felt they should..
i listened to alt-rock on them. I don't see what the problem is The problem is that some people react to them differently and usually lethally. that's ridiculous Such an elaborate argument. Wow... Anyways, psychoactive drugs can often cause psychosis leading to inadequate actions, sometimes lethal. Overdose is also a possibility.

I know a little bit of Python though I have mostly forgotten it over the years. I also know a bit of Java as well. I know the general idea behind technical analysis and fundamental analysis mostly from random googling and Wikipedia as well as the general idea behind neural nets (I think).
How do I go about making my own trading bot? Do the exchanges provide an interface for programs to make trades? Where can I get old charts and data in a suitable format to test my bot?
Some exchanges have APIs and some even give good documentations on how to use them. Look around the more popular exchanges.

went on a site called whatismybrowser.com, it says it's Firefox 27, it also says java is not detected but I;m sure it should be.
Also another daft question from a computer illiterate person, where do i find my browser menu?
What do you mean by browser menu? Like, where you set options, see your history, see your favorites, etc. menu or what?

I have tried adding htm. but not html. - is there a difference?
I don't think so, but just in case try adding it in, other than that, there are probably much more qualified people who could share their advice, wouldn't they?

Haven't seen many. Look around the Services and Goods subforum and make sure you read the replies.

have tried to save it using both firefox and google chrome
A primitive question but whatever: Have you tried just adding .html at the end of the name while saving the webpage?

He's mostly making fun of the complexity of Bitcoin. I don't find it funny, well maybe a little bit. But more about their horrible jokes.

U can't compress blockchain much, nor u can make a single transaction smaller.
Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'! Audrey Hepburn Guess so. We could rewrite the protocol and include a function that would rewrite the blockchain into a more memory effcient variant.

black people use a lot of drugs. therefore they will not divulge their illegal activities associated with said bitcoin.
they should use darkcoin (not a skin color joke) I don't think that'd be a good idea. Many people would still consider it racist. Well, jongameson's reply still sounds more racist than this one anyway.

(Won't quote because the quoted quotes are becoming a little intrusive) @HorseCoin How's that even make sense? What's drugs have to do with patriotism?

mprep, It may be something to do with the fact that when I go to save it, it doesn't offer me the option of saving as bitaddress.org.htm, but just as bitaddress.org. I have tried to follow the advice in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=872eSnlKUeg. Another thing, though I'm sure it's not important, in the video he mentions seeing https & a green lock when saving bitaddress. The lock on my screen isn't green, it's black, but that doesn't sound like it's an important detail. In reference to your 2nd post, I have disconnected but nothing happens at all, It still tries to go online. champsak, i know nothing about true-crypt, that's something I'd have to look into. Thank you both for your replies. What browser are you using to save it for offline browsing?
|
|
|
Basic supply and demand.
Kind of obvious. It's probably the haunt of the Mt. Gox shutdown still lingering that's making people sell their Bitcoins.

|

I recommend moving the thread to the Alternate cryptocurrencies subforum. More of a target audience there.

Invest only in well established coins and try to avoid pre-mined pump-and-dumps which are floating around like flies these days.
|
|

Because everyday it is getting rarer.
Actually, approximately 3,600 brand new bitcoins come into existence every day. Therefore, unless there are more than 3,600 bitcoins being permanently lost per day, bitcoins are getting less rare everyday. Supply is increasing. It'll stop one day when the block reward becomes 0 satoshis. Then it'll become rarer every day.

|
|
I saved it for offline browsing through my browser.
Then you should be OK if you're using bitadress or similiar. Have you just tried denying online access and see if it generated the private and public keys?

Satoshi Surely he won't mind if 5 BTC go missing? $atoshi will be waiting in hell when you die, and beat you to death with Model Trains Good thing Satoshi Nakamoto, the group of people in Europe responsible for creating Bitcoin, doesn't have any Model Trains They may buy some. With bitcoins that is.

While the smaller threads grew, the old and wise original one began to grow bigger and kept repelling all trolls that came to smear it's glory.
