5581  Economy / Economics / Re: When is the right time to buy bitcoin ? on: September 29, 2017, 06:25:43 AM
After the recent news re. BTC China and regulators crackdown on cryptocurrency trading, we all know which direction bitcoin and alt coins are currently heading. I wish to buy Bitcoin and Altcoin when they hit the floor, but i am unsure of when the right time is to enter?

If you are talking about the recent banning of ICOs on China, you might want to wait at least 1 month from now in order to feel its effect on the bitcoin prices. But surprisingly, after the banning of the ICOs the price of bitcoin plummeted down to around $3200. In another perspective, it is never too late to purchase bitcoins since no one can actually predict its final price. Due to its decentralized and volatile nature, its price can change without any warning. Lastly, you might want to invest into bitcoin more compared to other investments (i.e. Bank investments, gold, stocks, etc.) since its ROI is greater and faster.
5582  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is not gambling on: September 27, 2017, 10:36:40 PM
I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.
Yes of course it is not gambling. Bitcoin is a digital currency. It actually depends on how you use it. If you use it as a currency then there's no gambling at all. But by the time you enter trading, there's a bit of gamble there because the risk is just like you are gambling. But if you buy and hold till you can gain profit, it is not gambling; it is investing into something that you believe it will give you profit when the right time comes. So, that's all for my opinion.
if they think it as gambling, maybe they not trusting it and it their taking their move as a risk, even entering is a risk but we are not putting our decisions on luck alone since we need some skills and knowledge to be successful.

It does require some background and knowledge for people in order to REDUCE the risk of losing your investment. Bitcoin investments are gambling in a relative manner since both involves risk of losing your money and there is no guaranteed that you are going to profit in the long-run. It really depends on how you view it but almost all investments are a gamble of choice and money. It may be different from gambling like in the casinos, but every choice we make in life is always a gamble. It is up on us on how we can embrace the consequences of all our actions depending on the decisions we've made.

5584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who can destroy Bitcoin ? on: September 27, 2017, 07:45:40 AM
Bitcoin is growing very powerfully but in this present scenario which factors can destroy or make its market value Zero.

There are several factors on how bitcoin can be worthless, and here are some scenarios that I think that may potentially destroy bitcoins:

1. Prohibition of most countries against bitcoin transactions;
2. Number of people and investors who use bitcoin as an investment or for transactions;
3. The worldwide shutdown of the internet connection; and
4. Maybe high-ranking government agencies that have control over transactions.

The question is, would bitcoin be worthless in the future? As of now, its price is continuously rising despite China's banning of ICOs but there was a dramatic decrease on its price from $4700 to ~$4000. We may never know what to expect in the future that might increase/decrease price of bitcoins but the fact still remains that bitcoin is indeed, an investment that everyone should risk for.
5585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: effect of war to bitcoin on: September 27, 2017, 05:09:39 AM
it seems usa vs north korea will happen. nokor just launched another icbm today.

do you think this will start the end of bitcoin?

Should there be a nuclear war against these two countries, bitcoin would be the last thing that I would think of. To answer your question, I think that it may impact bitcoin prices but not that much since there are many factors that can significantly affect the price of it. Also, do remember that USA and North Korea are only 2 countries compared to the countries who transact using bitcoin. I believe that once the war against those countries started and it pulled other countries as well, then expect a dramatic decrease on its price and also to the general goods.
5586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know when to stop? on: September 26, 2017, 11:44:11 PM
I put limits to avoid unnecessary spending or stop when I lose 2-3 times in a row. I see no reason to try to recoup as this will lead to the loss of all money. You just need to take it as entertainment.

That's the best mindset every gambler need to follow through if you're that disciplined. There's no need fighting for what you've lost in gambling because you risk becoming an addict one day . It's best to know when to stop and the limit to which you can play or bet.

It may be easier said than done since most gamblers lose their goal and sight when they gamble. The problem with gambling is that, once you get addicted (like any other addiction), it will be very difficult for the individual to change their perspective towards their addiction because they believe that what they are doing is right. The indicator that gamblers must take note is the losing streak they experience. They tend to gamble more, believing that they can recover their losses but in the end, it only puts them on a tighter spot.
5587  Economy / Economics / Re: Mental barrier stops from buying BTC on: September 26, 2017, 01:40:29 PM
Not so long ago we've all whitnessed bitcoin at price 2k usd per btc. Now it is 4k. Sometimes before buying BTC I have a strong feeling that the price will fall pretty soon and I hould wait a bit before buying. Usually it all ends bad. Anyone have the same problem? How are you dealing with it?

That's normal i think and i'm sure a lot of us have had that experience before.sometimes ypu have to trustnyour gut feel so youbwon't have any regrets in the end. Though you can't tell that to safe traders.
same feeling when you successfully calculate a downfall and you haven't ride with better not to think of that so deep but use it as inspiration because
every "what if" that  be experience along the road are the building block that we needed to face and to conquer.

I guess that the decision varies from the individual's perspective and mindset towards the goal that he/she is looking for. If bitcoin prices can supposedly be predicted at a very accurate number, then all people would be millionaires by now. All investments are performed with the potential risk of profit loss but it all boils down on the individual on how he/she can reduce the risk by applying several factors that can affect the success of his investment. To conclude, bitcoin has proved itself to be one of the most successful cryptocurrency out there and the number of investors are increasing per day (which is a positive note in terms of reducing the risks of losing your investment).
5588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: September 25, 2017, 12:42:23 PM
Teenager  must be interested in bitcoin and have a passion of bitcoin reseaching bitcoin subject. Show him or her yoir results and describe all pluses of bitcoin.

Yes, introducing bitcoin to teenagers are not a problem since most of the users of bitcoin are teenagers.  The one who taught me about bitcoin is still in school and that most of my friends who are into bitcoins are teenagers.  As to children it would be out of their interest because bitcoin is not I think designed for them.  Maybe you could just tell them that you bought him or her a toy because of the earnings you made from bitcoin.  But not to teach them how to earn with it.

It might pose a problem since most teenagers nowadays are stuck on the virtual world of social media and they tend to disregard things that seem complicated for them. Teaching bitcoins to children/teenager may be complicated due to its nature, being very complex and technical. I highly suggest teaching alternatives that are still relevant to bitcoin, like explaining to them the value of money, teaching them to save, and showing them simple investments. In this way, they can embrace the idea of giving worth to money, while at the same time being relevant to the topic of bitcoin.

There is always the tendency of them not listening to you due to their nature being focused on the things that give satisfaction to them like playing games etc. But it is paramount that you give them the exposure behind bitcoin so once they mature, they have at least an idea regarding the topic.
5589  Economy / Speculation / Re: how to predict bitcoin price increase or decrease? on: September 25, 2017, 09:59:33 AM
We see sometimes bitcoin price increase or decrease. How I can predict whether bitcoin price increase or decrease.Again, who controll this price.I appreciate if you kindly share your experience.

No one can control bitcoin due to its decentralized nature, and it is also impossible to accurately predict the increase/decrease on the price of bitcoin due to its volatility. But there are factors that MAY affect its price and these are the things you must carefully observe:

1. Market Supply - We all know that there are only 21 million bitcoins in existence and depending on the supply, this may significantly affect the price of bitcoins especially when a fork happens due to people, panic-selling their bitcoins (the law of demand and supply will answer this).

2. Banning of bitcoins in a country - This may be very random and unpredictable since it totally depends on the government of one's country but look at China. They banned the operations of ICOs and this plummeted the price of bitcoins from $4700 to $3770 currently.
5590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Parents disagree with MMO – Make Money Online and Bitcoin ? on: September 25, 2017, 03:21:24 AM
My parent , especially my mom , she always tell me to stop doing bitcoin otherwise i will go to jail or doing bad things to social ! I don't get it ! Old generation seem very lack of experience in Bitcoin ! Why they keep telling us to stop when they even don't know how to check a simple email on ebay ! How to explain them guys ?

Parents usually stick to the norm and to things that they are comfortable of doing regardless how hard it is for them. In your situation, it is very hard to convince your mom about the bitcoin technology but I do suggest that you present concrete proof that you are actually earning money. You can also present evidences from the internet that your country support bitcoin and its transactions. The problem rises when she still disregards all the evidences present and your only option is maybe, continue bitcoin without saying it to her.
5591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What impresses you the most about Bitcoin? on: September 25, 2017, 12:48:00 AM
I'm rather impressed about how decentralized Bitcoin is and the ability to send funds or spend my bitcoins online without any restrictions or regulations whatsoever. This is what impresses me the most about Bitcoin.

Though one downside of this decentralized nature is its anonymity, which is a double-edge sword in terms of illegal transactions under the dark web. That is one of the reason on why some countries do not allow bitcoin utilization. But in my opinion, the advantages that you can maximize using bitcoin supersedes its disadvantages because the benefit of having bitcoin allowed in one country increases the opportunity for them to earn money, which in return can also help the government. This creates a win-win situation among the government and bitcoin due to the increase of market liquidity on the economy.

5593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is it better to invest in bitcoin or ethereum ? on: September 24, 2017, 11:59:11 AM
for long term purpose, which is better to invest in , Bitcoin or Ethereum ? Lets discuss that ..

You always have the option to invest into both so why not do so? Both are very good investments and it is inevitable for you to yield profit in the long-run. If you have large amounts of capital, I suggest that you invest into bitcoin due to its very volatile state. Ethereum on the other hand is on its developing stage, continuously rising at its peak and investing into it has the potential of garnering large amounts of profit. But if you are really reluctant and wanting for a more-secured way of earning income, then I'll go for bitcoin in a heartbeat.

5595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as salary for a regular job? on: September 24, 2017, 04:22:20 AM
Would you accept bitcoin as your salary in your profession, especially if you work in other country?

For me yes I will accept bitcoin because we can exchange it in our local currency.

I do not accept as salary from my work. The work I do is quite stable, the salary I get from that job is also stable. So I can not accept the change in salary. The price of bitcoin fluctuates pretty much, if risk occurs, my salary will be very little

True, salary is a way to fulfill our daily needs, while bitcoin is for investment purpose that we can afford to lose it if something that isn't on our favor happened.

Bitcoin's value is very volatile and you always have the option to convert your bitcoins into fiat after accepting it as a salary or you can use half of your coins as an investment, and the other half for your daily essentials. If I were given an option to accept bitcoin as my salary, I would accept it to an extent that it must be given regularly regardless of the price of bitcoins. This is obviously a risk, but the opportunity it provides supersedes the risk that I am taking.

One factor that can also affect my decision on accepting bitcoin as my salary is the obligations present at my current state. If I have a family, then obviously bitcoin as my salary might lead to our downfall. But if I do not have a family and I am only supporting myself, then I would gladly take the risk and pray that the outcome would benefit me in the future.

5597  Economy / Economics / Re: Three reasons to invest in Bitcoin on: September 23, 2017, 10:16:55 PM
Quote
1. It’s gaining mainstream credibility as industry players consider it as the new gold – Bitcoin has many of the same qualities of gold, whose value is not controlled by governments.

2. Many investors and finance industry experts are serious about the promise of Bitcoin – A large number of mainstream investors and entrepreneurs already consider Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a legitimate asset class.

3. There is only a limited amount of Bitcoin – There are only 21 million Bitcoin tokens to be mined and no new tokens will appear until after 2140. This makes Bitcoin a deflationary currency whose value increases naturally with time.

Source here.

These are interesting big reasons why it is so wise to invest in Bitcoin. I am sure that many people are still doubting Bitcoin whether it can be a good investment vehicle or it is just another risky venture that can collapse anytime. Of course, we know better. So in case someone would be asking you this same question, you just have to enumerate the three big reasons above.

You provided excellent reasons on why people should take advantage of bitcoin by investments. Here are some of my reasons on why we should invest into bitcoins as early as today:

1. Bitcoin's nature being decentralized and volatile makes the perfect short-term or long-term investments since its price can skyrocket at anytime of the year;
2. Bitcoin's popularity is increasing per day, thus- it attracts new investors everyday which increases its liquidity on the market;
3. Investing/earning bitcoin is very convenient compared to any other types of investments like stocks, gold, and bank investments. Also, there are a variety of ways in earning bitcoin and its simplicity makes it easy for an individual to earn on a short amount of time.
5598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem Gamblers here who are in Debt ? on: September 23, 2017, 09:27:00 PM
Debt is really a big trap. A smart gambler have to be careful and control him self to not get addicted and drown i debts. Paying back people is not easy especially when they owe you big amount of money.

You also need to consider that most gamblers' perspective towards gambling is that they can be successful without paying the cost at the end. Now, the result of their decision based from their gambling addiction is being drowned in debt and they still gamble because they believe that gambling can answer all of their financial problems. Being addicted to something destroys all negative implications of the user because what matters to them is the satisfaction that they experience. Why would they change their ways if they feel satisfied? That is one of the problems of most gamblers who cannot control their addiction which needs to be addressed at the quickest time possible.
5599  Economy / Economics / Re: IS THERE ANY POSSIBILITY OF A PRICE REDUCTION FOR FUTURE BITCOIN on: September 23, 2017, 08:15:14 PM
Bitcoin approved and discovered in the world on 2009 and the first price is $0.

And this the history and bitcoin table when discovered in the world from 2009.[Using USD Rate 2017]
2009 [Discovered] - 1btc = $0  Huh
2010 - 1btc = $0.1 - $0.08  Cry
2011 - 1btc = $0.75  Angry
2012 - 1btc = $9.04  Angry
2013 - 1btc = $301.20  Angry
2014 - 1btc = $753.01  Sad
2015 - 1btc = $451.81  Angry
2016 - 1btc = $828.31  Roll Eyes
2017 - 1btc = $3664.25  Shocked

From this list we know bitcoin is not stable , frequently make increase and reduction on price.

Is there a possibility of a decline in the price of the bitcoin future , in doing so we must make a choice better invest a bitcoin or not ?  Shocked

In fact there is! On July 2017, you did not include the fork that just happened which significantly reduced the rice of bitcoins down to $1950. Also, the price of bitcoins also decreased recently like 2-3 weeks ago due to China's banning of ICOs in their country. There are many factors that affect the price of bitcoins and due to its volatility, it is also very hard to predict whether there may be an increase or decrease on the short-term perspective. But the chart you provided is very accurate towards the increasing part of its price. Even though there are factors that decrease its price, it still remains that in the long-run perspective, the price of bitcoins still increase.
5600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How strong is Bitcoin compared to others cyptocurrency? on: September 23, 2017, 11:05:15 AM
Hi Everyone,

I am new and doing research on Bitcoin and some other cyptocurrencies. Just wondering if i were to invest, will Bitcoin be one of the safest to dump my money into?

Thanks and hope to hear your opionion soon people! Smiley

Easily comparable by using price as a basis when comparing bitcoin to other cryptocurrencies. Also do note that bitcoin is the first ever "decentralized cyptocurrency" and was made last 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto. Bitcoin's existence has evolved and influenced other cryptocurrencies as well and this is the reason on why many of it are starting to develop by this year. Lastly, bitcoin's influence has a scope of around the world and the number of users are increasing per day due to its volatility that can yield profit by short amount of time compared to any other investments.
