5603  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin falling again on: September 14, 2017, 06:30:44 AM
OMG, Bitcoin falling again, current price = 3866USD.
What happen? we losing money every hours. Need exchange BTC to fiat?
Who can explain this situation?

If you would observe, there has been a pattern regarding the fall of the price of bitcoin. We all know that due to its volatility, its price may increase or decrease at any time but the situation is different from what is happening right now. Due to China's banning of some transactions involving cryptocurrency, it has affected bitcoin dramatically and people are converting their coins to fiat, which results to an increase on the supply. By basing it on the law of demand and supply, it is obvious that the price will decrease. Let the price fall and take it as an advantage to invest again because I surely believe that its price will increase by 1-2 months from now.

5606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as salary for a regular job? on: September 10, 2017, 06:32:03 AM
Would you accept bitcoin as your salary in your profession, especially if you work in other country?

For me yes I will accept bitcoin because we can exchange it in our local currency.

If there exists an option, I would choose bitcoin and fiat for my salary, like a 50/50 divided ratio due to various factors. We all know that bitcoin is very volatile in terms of price, I would treat the half of my salary (bitcoin) as investment for my future. By choosing bitcoin entirely for the payment of my salary, this defeats the purpose of investment and would make my situation a hassle due to converting it to fiat by the time I use it for daily essentials. Not to mention, there are only some retailers that accept bitcoin as a payment.
5607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you have some BTCs, why not have some Gold too? on: September 08, 2017, 11:39:38 PM
They all beautiful.

The number one factor on why I do not own any gold right now is due to its nature, not being digital and virtual. Investing into bitcoin is as easy as walking in the park due to being available in the internet. Also, earning bitcoin is very convenient compared to gold, with a lot of paper works and stuff due to being regulated by the government. Lastly, earning bitcoin is easier since it serves as an equalizer among the rich and the poor in terms of having the opportunity to have one.
5608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why trading is better than gambling? on: September 08, 2017, 05:11:35 PM
Not always, trading better than gambling. Because many beginner traders spend their money or bitcoins because of panicky or greedy nature that's still high on them. While for those who are accustomed, they appraise trading more secure because risk of losses can be minimized by utilizing ability of analysis and market prediction's adequate.

I'd still say that trading is better than gambling for various reasons. One being the nature of gambling, relying on risks and has the potential of being addicted to it (which leads to a worse problem). Trading on the other hand lets two individuals engage into exchanging bitcoins for services or either things that satisfies both parties. Lastly, gambling in general creates an illusion of an individual's perception towards betting their money due to the fact that they always think they will win. This problem now results to the bankruptcy of an individual, thinking that gambling would either help him/her recover his/her losses but in fact, only worsens their situation.
5609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If Bitcoin is banned? on: September 08, 2017, 01:37:58 PM
What If Bitcoin is banned in your country will you still use it?

If you use it how will you? How will you exchange it and how will you completely use it as you do before.

If here in the Philippines they ban the usage of bitcoin, I would most probably still use utilize it by using a different wallet outside in the country (we have a wallet provider here in the Philippines). Though this will limit my spending capacity and options, I would not want to waste the opportunity of earning bitcoins that potentially may increase its price furthermore in the future.

My friend interviewed the main lawyer of BSP (Central Bank) about bitcoin and the country's view on it. The lawyer said that bitcoin is treated here not as a currency, but rather as property. Therefore, it is not subject to legal tender which opens a variety of options in terms of payment.
5610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: September 08, 2017, 10:49:21 AM
When we think about investments we imagine investors with big sums of money, so for btc casino it would be 1 or more btc, for instance. However, the minimum amount you can invest is usually 0.01btc which is only 10$. Do you think such investments are profitable but you earn small sums or maybe they don't make sense at all? Can someone explain it to me?

It really depends on the individual on when they need the money. Small-time investments may be beneficial in times of emergency uses or as a gateway for big investments. On the other hand, big-time investments are usually the choice of people who have enough capital to yield income in the future. It really boils down to the preference of the person investing but I see no wrong within the two choices. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages (the longer, the riskier).
5611  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best way to invest/grow your Bitcoins? on: September 08, 2017, 09:54:20 AM
I don't trust all these HYIP websites and I'm looking for a more reliable way to invest.
Any suggestions?

The question is, do you have capital to begin with? I really do suggest not spending your bitcoins in your wallet and let time do the work to take advantage of its volatility. There are a lot of speculations saying that bitcoin prices might reach $6000 by the end of the year and maybe it is a good idea on not spending your bitcoins. Another method that I also suggest is by doing campaign signatures since this lets you earn bitcoins, while at the same time contributing to support and build the forum. Do note that bitcoin investment is far superior than bank investments due to the returns, being high and fast.
5612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin WILL become one world currency. Matter of when, not if. on: September 08, 2017, 07:00:24 AM
The future of money is here, recent price increase is due to lack of trust and confidence in the current fiat system. A lot of buzz going around about bitcoin right now, once we crack the $10k mark... we will see interest explode from the average Joe.

Everyone says "what if I had got in during the early days?"
I say "what if its still early?" Wink

Bitcoin certainly has the potential of becoming the main currency in the world but what hinders this development is the differences of the economy of each country in the world. Most countries that are in the "developing stage" have different priorities on improving their economy and providing internet access across seems their least priority for now. You must consider that once you change the fiat as the main currency to bitcoin (which is decentralized and virtual in nature), developing countries would experience difficulty in adapting to this change, thus leading to stagnant growth instead of actually improving.
5613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it technically possible to ban Bitcoin in a particular country? on: September 07, 2017, 06:16:53 PM
Let's say the Chinese government decides to ban Bitcoin. Is it technically possible without shutting down their Internet?

Well in fact, there are some countries that ban the usage and utilization of bitcoin due to its nature being decentralized and difficult to regulate. One disadvantage of bitcoin is that, it is being used under the dark web for illegal transactions due to being hard to track-down. The greatest example of this crime can be discussed under the "Silk Road" transaction where it was linked into drugs.

Shutting down the internet just to prevent people from using bitcoin may be a stupid idea because not all people know the existence of bitcoin. There are far greater things can be utilize under the internet than just by shutting it down to prevent any bitcoin transactions. The government though may impose laws that will penalize individuals who still uses bitcoin despite having a law that bans the usage of it.
5614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as Online Gaming Currency on: September 07, 2017, 12:28:18 AM
For online gamers and at the same time bitcoiners, don't you think it's fun if online games will adapt bitcoin as their currencies?

MMORPG will be much fun if bitcoin will be used to purchase items/gears you're longing to acquire.

Selling items you have exerted effort to farm and you will receive btc as payment is quite exciting.

I'm referring to direct trading in the market of any MMORPG using BTC.

Just a thought though :-)

Hmm, there is an option depending on your bitcoin wallet that you can convert your bitcoins to game cash. In my opinion, it does not differ from trading your items to fiat because you can always acquire bitcoin through buying it with money but it would be nice if this was implemented. Though the downside of this is this may be subject to scamming due to the nature of trading. People must transact with people who are honest and well-known in the server to prevent any loss in both sides.
5615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Many Casinos Are There in Your Country? on: September 06, 2017, 04:33:30 PM
How many casinos are there in your country, state or city? Any nearby ones that you frequent?

Here in the Philippines, there exist a place where it focuses on gambling alone (like Las Vegas) and surprisingly, a lot of foreigners are attending it instead of Filipinos. There are also some famous gambling casinos which are scattered across the country. I once went there with my brother (he was the only one gambling) and I observed that most of the people there are struggling Filipinos who hope to gain cash on gambling alone. I also saw some devastated people who were in anguish due to losing a big bet. Nothing really comes beneficial to gambling especially when one gets addicted to it.
5616  Economy / Economics / Re: Time is money, how you manage your money and time ? on: September 06, 2017, 10:57:36 AM
That is most important to one person that they know about time ang money management. Time management we need this for our daily living like you have time to your work and to your family and especially to God.
Money management you need to divide your money to your needs and earn also to your future.

Time management is important to work especially in multitask, to earn money, to learn how to earn more profit like trading and investing, and to study to be able to graduate in school. Money can be used in buying thing and financials. Money budgeting and give proper allocation for the good needed for daily living and have savings on it can help for managing a money to not to waste any amount in not important thing and buying all we want just to satisfy oneself. It is true that time is money. You can earn on just one click. Do not waste any of it and give value on it.
I think those would matter in how mature you are in life. Knowing the priorities you really would want to do at the end of the day is what matters. You have already foresighted the things that would happen in that day. Because even if you work hard but you really dont have a higher goal then it's useless to work if you are just in a stead fast pace.

Well, maturity starts when you become aware of your responsibilities and priorities regardless of your age (the younger, the better!) and you consider different options instead of clinging to just one. Time is definitely money but they are both separate entities in which we should value and not take for granted. We may acquire lots of money through time but we can never buy time with money.
5617  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: September 06, 2017, 10:34:27 AM
Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea.
So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.

Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think?
p.s. we don't talk about bitcoin debit card OR any centralized service which only ask name and email address.

Why do we need bitcoin banks if we can invest bitcoin by just retaining it on our wallets? This totally defeats the purpose of bitcoin, which is superior compared to bank investments. Plus, most banks are being controlled by a single person or the government, thus regulation and tax imposition may be possible with this current idea. If bitcoin banks were to exist, I doubt that people would put their coins in that bank and it only makes things complicated to us in terms of redeeming or withdrawing it. Lastly, banks are created to earn profit through time investments and a fee would most probably exist (which makes things more expensive).
5618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: between restaurant and bitcoin on: September 05, 2017, 11:37:08 PM
this is a very good culinary business when receiving payments using bitcoin BTC or other altcoin, so users of digital currency can easily use the currency, not only for investment but to enjoy life with bitcoin there is no place

Is there a restaurant in your area that has received payments using bitcoins or the like?

Unfortunately here in the Philippines, Bitcoin isn't as popular compared to other countries. Due to the increasing number of poverty incidence here in our country, those people who should know about bitcoin are being neglected in terms of support and internet access. Only the below-average to rich people have access to the internet, which makes around 50-60% of our whole population. The people who should be benefiting and maximizing the opportunities of bitcoin are the ones who aren't knowledgeable about its existence which primarily defeats the whole purpose of the system.
5619  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe governments can stop bitcoin after all on: September 05, 2017, 03:09:07 PM
This is a serious discussion. I mean, after I've seen how bitcoin (and other cryptos as well) got dumped badly after an irrelevant law that makes ICOs illegal. I can only imagine now what would happen If more countries do the same thing and It could get worst by make itself bitcoin illegal. Whether we like to admit it or not, most of people would sell everything they have once its made illegal, some may continue to fight the central banking but the sad reality is that as soon as people start making profits, they will dump it and move on.

I really don't see the government controlling bitcoin soon due to its nature being decentralized and if it does, it probably would have a negative impact in terms of its price on the market due to imposing regulations and taxes from it. Though one disadvantage coming from its nature is being hard to track-down, and this became an avenue for illegal transactions. Due to that reason, some countries ban the usage of bitcoin but in my opinion, the various opportunities it provide to people overshadow the disadvantages of it. It really depends on the country on which poison they are willing to choose.
5620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest regret about bitcoin on: September 05, 2017, 01:35:16 PM
My biggest regret is when I got introduced to this back in 2012, I tried to buy £200 worth, the platform was down and I never bothered, just recently woke up to it again at over £4k per coin, it is a physiological thing where I don't want to buy at that price.

I think my biggest regret was ignoring the advice of my close friend way back in 2012 to invest into bitcoins because he believed that one day, its price will skyrocket. I was pretty immature, ignorant, and nervous at that time and I had trust issues with some of my colleagues. Those factors built-up and it ended me not investing into bitcoin when its prices were around $30-$100. If I only listened to him back on the days, I would've been rich like him today.
