561  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoBit IEO's on: April 28, 2019, 08:07:23 PM

To update an old phrase for indulging in poor risk/reward gambling (binary options, anyone?) it's akin to picking up dimes from in front of a steamroller, only in this case the steamroller's driven by a psychopath and the dimes are counterfeit.

I'm just surprised to see how a supposedly county in Costa Rica be protected on a European data base.

They registered the .eu domain via a Dublin services company and a German registrar, possibly using the London company I refer to above.
The new GDPR regulations are making it impossible to get any meaningful Whois data on anyone anymore.

So they are most likely running it out of Costa Rica but could also be from GB? This sure is confusing lol.

Yeah, welcome to crypto gambling lol.
The only management names I found were Felix Arburola who has been a minion in the Costa Rica sportsbook sector for years and the "co-founder and general manager" James Hampelton, who sounds pretty Brit.

As well as them using Cloudflare, the new GDPR regulations are making it impossible to get any meaningful Whois data on anyone anymore.

Edit: The London company appears to be a red herring, there was a Nitrogen Health registered at that address but that was a legit health care company since taken over.
Nitrogensports being registered by an Irish company would qualify for the .eu domain anyway.
564  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: coinerium.io - SCAM - FAKE TEAM on: April 28, 2019, 06:20:53 PM
Is anyone spoke with team for verifying or just allegation?
Does it also names on whitepaper?
Also they have solid idea, maybe before going to tell scam you can read whitepaper for details.
It is not good that you protect scammers. Already two team members who were seen in fake were removed from the site. I want to look at the whitepaper, but did not find it on the site. And the team here has to tell about their fake members.

When nothing accounts like that one come out of nowhere to support an obvious scam, I usually am pleased to see them because they actually provide a confirmation that the original accusation was right.
565  Economy / Reputation / Re: Nitrogensports.eu dodging questions regarding their operation on: April 28, 2019, 06:06:27 PM

^Are they in Costa Rica?

I wouldn't bet on it  Cheesy
But they certainly seem to want people to believe they are and, given the apparent regulatory freedom and zero tax, it makes a lot of sense. Better than that shit hole Curacao...

Any claim relating to Nitrogen Sports's web site shall be governed by the laws of Costa Rica without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

As far as proof is concerned, I have found no reference by them to their actual physical address (I haven't looked particularly hard), although there's this

Quote
Nitrogen Sports operates out of San Pedro, Costa Rica and has provided SBR with the address of their headquarters which SBR intends to confirm. The data servers which process wagering and transactions are also hosted in Costa Rica. Nitrogen’s marketing office is located in Canada.

But also this

But that address has three companies listed, none of which fit the profile.

Your thread title is misleading

Quote
Indian Govt thinks Bitcoin is a ponzi scheme

Neither of the links you provide has any evidence of that. The only reference to Ponzi that I saw from a quick scan was

Quote
A ministry spokesperson told the media that cryptocurrencies were being issued and sold as tremendous investment opportunities which more often than not involved frauds and Ponzi schemes to “defraud gullible investors.”

Which is true.

The only reason to obtain a licence for a gambling (or any) business is if the country from which the business operates requires one.
Costa Rica doesn't appear to have any licencing system or requirement for online gambling.

Quote from: from link
There still is no governmental or regulatory framework governing online gambling or eGaming whatsoever, as such no official Costa Rica Online Gambling License designed to deal with e-gaming (gambling over the Internet) exists.
The absence of legislation governing online gambling operations or administration from Costa Rica means very clearly that a Costa Rica Online Gambling License does NOT exist.
The businesses and operations of Costa Rica-based online gambling or eGaming companies are not not regulated, supervised or licensed in any way shape or form, including the so called ‘Data Processing’ license.
Because there is no official organization to issue any kind of license or recognize license holders, there is no betting or gaming tax whatsoever. Again, to be clear, there is no such thing as a Costa Rica Online Gambling License, Data Processing License or any other kind of license for Online Gaming.

I'd have thought the evasive answers you are getting are just standing instructions to customer service staff, along the lines of "If you get any questions about tax, tell them to talk to a tax expert."

Good luck.

Can a moderator look at the above threads,  ban these users, and lock these threads if they are found to be breaking the rules?

A reasonable request.

Paging mods malevolent and EFS.....
Is this interpretation of Theymos' pinned post correct?
If not, why not?
If it is, why is that sub forum allowed to be such a dysfunctional shit hole?

On our YouTube channel there are webinars in English, German and Spanish! Rather, look, you will not regret) Here is a link to 1 part (English): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akc2S7c01c8

Why every time someone asks, you don't give an answer directly in this thread? I am disappointed with what you have shown to the community. Thank you.

The reason for that is that the Atronocom presence on this forum is in the hands of a very inept and unknowlegeable "manager", who is currently using this account

<bump spam>

with which to bump post, as the account to which you replied has been autobanned for spam.
If you happen to believe that the integrity of a product  is relative to the quality of investor relations, then ATRONOCOM is of no value.
BTW, don't go to their Telegram group unless you have a mental age < 10 years.

Is there any pumping going on?

How "DARE" you suggest "SUCH" a thing!!!
It is totally normal and reasonable for a Five Trillion Dollar "FUTURE OF CRYPTO" stablecoin to increase in value by 20% on $300 of volume on fatBTC .....
Maybe a look at this will enlighten you.
574  Other / Meta / Re: [LIST] Banned users on: April 09, 2019, 09:51:16 PM
I'm surprised that when a user is banned it's not "scarlet lettered" BANNED on his/her profile (like in the spot where their rank would be posted).
It's been suggested before, but unfortunately wasn't implemented.

I'd have thought it's a no brainer.
What's the reasoning behind not implementing it?
575  Other / Meta / Re: QUESTION : Is it acceptable to promote new exchange or coin in the forum? on: April 09, 2019, 09:26:28 PM
Hi all,
Newbie here. Would like to know if there are any rules or regulations that prohibited any promotions for the new opening exchange or later to be release new coin in the forum. If it is not prohibited, appreciate if can advice if we can post anything related to the topics.
Thanks

If you are referring to promoting other people's projects for reward as an outsourcing agency, I have nothing to offer apart from red trust for when it turns scam or you overreach.
If you are referring to your own project, I'd make two suggestions :
1) Do it in house, i.e. have a designated responsible member of your team make the original [ANN] and oversee the thread, ideally using a rl identity. Regularly check that no impostors have opened any threads in other sections referring to your project, sometimes using your name as part of their membership name, e.g. "xxxcoin official".
2) Avoid the temptation to employ any sort of "media enhancement" service to bump or contribute posts to create an impression of "buzz".

This forum has active and vocal members who are very sensitive to thread manipulation by fake news and reviews and other tricks of the media management industry; what could start off as turning a blind eye to some "white lying" can easily escalate into something quite messy and negative for the project involved.
We don't do "plausible deniability" here.

And as we "PROMISED", we have another "EXCITING" News for our investors and "POTENTIAL" investors.

We are now seen on NBC, where everyone is recognizing us as the next Bitcoin, something that is rarely seen with any "OTHER" crypto so raw!

You're really not very good at this are you?

We are happy with the...tremendous feedback by major companies

Yup, those major companies are certainly keen on their buzz points.

"TIME" for "ANOTHER" rant?

578  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda & Loyce please confirm your gender... on: April 05, 2019, 08:14:19 PM

Some say "he/him when they think MALE" and
Some say "she/her when they think female" and
Some say nothing when they think they are 3rd gender

This is a highly politically incorrect assumption you're making, that there are only three gender identifications available.
In this 21st Century, such -ist attitudes can only hinder the individual's ability to attain their full life potential, by presenting themselves to the rest of the world as they truly are and in the right category.
To quote an authority

Quote
The sex that was assigned to them at birth is none of your business. It’s not what defines them. What matters is what they are now. And even still, they are so much more than just their gender identity. Everything else about them might be the same as you or anybody else.

Currently, these are the gender identification options available (sincere apologies to any newly emerged self identifier categories discovered made up identified with since its compilation)

Remember well:
Quote
It’s possible that they will identify with one of the options.
But when they don’t, it may be a hurtful reminder of how their journey is not reflected in the world.
