For the other musicians; what's your favorite instrument to play, and why?

synth ftw! Smiley whhat about you?

I like playing the piano the most; I've played on two Bosendorfers, if anyone knows what they are, and their sound is absolutely fanfreakingtastic

If btc goes up you may be able to afford one of those Smiley

That would only work if I had the initial money to invest into BTC, haha. I'm a broke college student; can't invest if I don't have anything to lose Sad

Well maybe one day Smiley

Ya! I sing, and I play guitar/bass mainly. I love messing around with analog style synths and whatnot too. I've been writing and recording for about 15 years now, since I was a kid. Tryin' to make my career work out here in Hollywood, looking to focus on licensing mainly to generate income. It's been a tough road, I suffer for my craft. Being a starving artist is not fun. Have to make big sacrifices for big rewards though right? It's all fodder for the lyric book...

I don't know if I can really track down a 'favorite'... I love so much different music, so many different genres. I'd have to say David Bowie is at the top with Mike Patton. Been listening to alot of Bad Brains and The Roots lately... Wink

-Jon Prints

Analog synths! Which ones r u into right now?
Also, have you though about adding your btc wally address to your soundcloud/youtube profiles? I've done it and it sort of works, don't get that many donations but better than nothing, right? I'm thinking btc donations could be the future for artists, even if spotify have decided music shouldn't be worth more than a few cents, there are real fans out there who want to support their favourite bands.

I really love the MicroKORG, MS-20 and almost anything MOOG Smiley

Yeah, I have a donation page on my website. I've recently added my BTC, Opal, HYP, etc addys to my soundcloud page. I have YET to receive a penny for the music I do. I've only had my material stolen from me. For example, right now - a project I wrote and sang for is being sold on Amazon/ITunes right now w/o my permission. Plus there's a music video of me on youtube that I didn't authorize or sign any papers of any sort. The guy that's doing it was a jealous ex band mate who couldn't play his instrument. The leader of the band fired him and he took it out on me. Labels were looking at the band, and they only wanted me - so I got punished. I can't do anything because he's literally a millionaire - any defense I'd mount would end up causing even more pain in an already sore area. I'm hoping that I can rectify the situation at some point. It really kills me.

I'm also running Crypto Radio right now too! I'd love to get some music from artists in the community to put in the rotation - so hit me up via pm or at radio@deadlightbulb.com Smiley

Sad story, I'm so sorry for you, that's not right.
Crypto radio sounds cool, I'll pm you the name of my music project, it's a bit left field but hopefully you'll like it Smiley & I look forward to hearing yours as well.
Ps. Moog ftw!

That looks so nice and soft. I can actually feel that image.

That could actually turn into a meme it's that good.

Damn you price go up now! Ahh I want to sell 2BTC and go on a vacation with my gf  Grin

Where are you? Holidays from where I am cost a lot more than 2BTC, even if the price went up drastically.

No I'm in the UK. But I spent 7 months in Oz last year and you're right they do seem to be involved in btc quite a bit.

Have you been to any Bitcoin meetups to meet the crypto community in person? Guys/gals it should be interesting to do some "real world" connecting and talking about crypto.

Not yet. Where can I find info on where/when??
571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Social Network For Crypto Land on: November 13, 2014, 01:47:12 AM
Bitcointalk.org has replaced all my social networks.  Grin

It's a great place indeed : ) tons of info. tons of sarcasm. lots of banter. what more could we ask for?

Plus you don't need to reveal your offline identity. Who needs more?

True. Are you a spy?
572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: November 13, 2014, 01:45:24 AM
I love this thread.

Its my favorite on this website.

But why is it even being bumped right now?

There must be a whole bunch of people who hopped on board in 2013 and 2014 that got in at 290-450 and are excited by this.

Those of us who saw $60 and then $1000 feeel suuuuuuuuuuper bored right now still lol

-B-

I am  def waiting for the next spike in the price. I am tired of this 300-400 margin all summer  Undecided

I think it could happen in the next few days, it's sort of showing all the right signs for a spike, but who knows.
573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: November 13, 2014, 12:09:47 AM
Today, some made a nice little profit on their investment (or made back some losses if you haven't sold)

Quoted so they stop quoting the other one Smiley It's pretty true what you say though.
574  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am I the only girl on here? : ( on: November 13, 2014, 12:05:47 AM

Hii!
Just wondering if there are any fellow girls on here who are into Bitcoin mining, trading, etc. It seems it's mainly guys. We are roughly 50% of the population of this planet yet I can't find any girls who are into Bitcoins, anywhere.

Everytime I try to mention Bitcoins while hanging out with girlfriends they always look confused and change the subject, yet they're not "dumb girls", they've been to Uni, spend a lot of time online, have paypal acc's, online banking, etc. Why are they so reluctant to hear about Bitcoins?

Good luck to you and welcome to the bitcoin community Smiley

Thanks hedgy Smiley

I'm involved in btc so of course I log in often. But I don't spend "hours" on here and I'm certainly not seeking validation from anyone. This thread was suppossed to be for any girls on here who are into btc, but some of you guys turned it into something else.
@ B!z: stop trolling and following me around this forum like a puppy, you're like obessed with me replying to every post and thread I post in, it's creeping me out, seriously.

I don't follow you around this forum; this is the only thread you post in lol

Nobody out 368,741 members felt the need to make a 32 page long "am i the only girl" thread except for you, so yeah, you are looking for attention. It comes across in all of your replies, really annoyingly immature lmao

Since you said this thread isn't doing any good, why haven't you locked it already?

Lies. You know very well that this is not the only thread I post in. Also, it's a stupid lie since anyone can go to my profile and see how many other threads I'm involved in.
Also, I didn't "make" a 32 page long thread, it just became that long. If you don't want it to be any longer, stop posting on here, simple as that.
576  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am I the only girl on here? : ( on: November 12, 2014, 09:06:38 PM
It's not about her being some mystical female you idiots

She is attention whoring herself by being, or pretending to be, a girl. It is her obligation to provide pics, this is the least she can do to continue her little parade

Huh? I'm not here for attention. I get a lot of "attention" in the outside world thank you very much. This thread is about btc and how to improve women's involvement in btc, and a bit of chat in the middle.

Stop being so delusional. If you were really Miss popular, rich, and pretty, you wouldn't have to spend hours online everyday seeking validation from anonymous strangers on a virtual money forum lmao

577  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's everyone's day job? on: November 12, 2014, 07:49:33 PM
unemployed seems to be a trend round here  Shocked

Yeah, if you're employed and actually have money, you wouldn't be wasting your time here....

not always the case actually. plus, this forum is not a waste of time. tons of important info on here.
578  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am I the only girl on here? : ( on: November 12, 2014, 07:46:23 PM
lol. nope.
579  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's everyone's day job? on: November 12, 2014, 06:38:23 PM
I'm unemployed so I have no choice but to get rich with Bitcoin, but I am technically building two businesses as my day job, the main one right now is my silver Jewellery and the other is artwork where I plan to sell manga and then as an extra backup plan I'm learning how to use the blender game engine so I can develop games.

should use blender render engine and create some awesome 3d manga Smiley

im CEO of sitting back and doing nothing. dosnt pay very well but its better than saying unemployed XD

check out blender guru, lots of great tutorials Smiley

Do you think it's right to tip someone for a photo? My personal rule is tips should be given to someone who maybe helps you out with important info, or if you like someone's art or if you wanna support a charity project, etc.

My personal rule is that you use your own money however you want to... no one should tell me that I should only tip for certain things

That's fine, I just find it bizarre that you offer to tip me for a pic me when in reality you could google lots of pics for free, that's all. But thanks anyway, that's sweet, makes me feel special Smiley
