What are the parameters that makes transaction confirmations?
What i mean, that sometimes i get fast first confirmation, but there can be several minutes (like 15 minutes) to get first confirmation.
Just trying to figure out whats behind slow confirmations, and can they be someshow make quicker?
On average a block is found every minute and a half. But sometimes several blocks are found in a row and sometimes it takes more time, like 15 minutes. Its the same with bitcoin, on average it is 10 minutes. But sometimes the network is unlucky and it does not find a block for an hour... You can not control that in any way, it is normal behavior of all decentralized crypto currencyes. The parameters would be when does the next miner or staker solve a valid block and your transaction is included. The parameter is the block time target, which is set to 91 seconds, but in real life its around 100 seconds. Does that also include PoS mining? I am getting these times per first or more confirmation(s), seconds: 80, 110, 160, 240, 630, 20, 30 So it seems to be ~80 sec multiplier (or not). It is for both. PoS and PoW. You can check on the block explorer under the overview tab, you can see the average block time per day, it is around 100 seconds.

i don't remember now, but is sha256d asic department? or it can be mined with gpu like keccak?
Hi Ayers sha256d (the d means duo, hybrid Proof of Work / Proof uf Stake) and yes sha256 asics (bitcoin miners) , gpus , cpus all good. Perhaps at launch it migh be worth while to mine with CPUs but i have a feeling we are gonna have a powerfull start so difficulty will soon spike up. Please note that proof of work stage will take aprox 7 years while meanwhile Proof of stake will be generating blocks as that even members/users/community without any suitable hardware have a chance to mine stake blocks. The staking reward is 7% yearly plus 1000 LANAs for a stake block so thats 10% of the amount for a PoW block reward. Have a great day. tnx for the info, it can be mined with gpu now or the diff is too high? with asic around i'm not sure if pointing my rig to this is the correct choice, i need answer thanks, i also rpesume that cpu is excluded already right? CPU and GPU dont stand a chance here. ASICs rule sha256d. I think someone pointed some heavy power to this coin for a short amount of time and spiked the difficulty. The blockchain stalled for more than an hour now. Until stake-ing becomes active, the blockchain is going to be somewhat choppy

Block explorer updated! YoBit also notified.
|
|
|
Is this a mandotory update to 1.2?
It is mandatory yes. The crucial changes come live at block 100k, so there is no rush, but better sooner than later... If you dont upgrade before block 100k you will end up on a separate fork... Block Explorer ( https://chainz.cryptoid.info/neva/#!crypto) has old version running: v1.1.0.0-g0000000 (protocol 65000) I will notify the admin.

Faucet official not avaiable yet Its like you are reading my mind. I was working on it today. Here it is, the official faucet: http://faucet.nevacoin.pw/Still working on the design a bit, but it is fully functional and loaded with NEVAs Enjoy! Edit: And feedback please...if everything is working as it should I just tested it, works. Also i donated some Nevacoins for it. Can you also pls link my Nevabutton game for first post? I added your game to the OP. I will be refreshing the website in the following days so I will add it there too. There was another game, a ponzi pyramid game, is it still alive? Also to you and everyone else, if you have any Neva related sites I can create a subdomain for you if you want, e.g.: subdomain.nevacoin.pw Just PM me

Question about Paper wallets (cold wallets) and PoS staking, is it somehow possible?
No that is not possible if you want the wallet to remain "cold". You could import the private key from the paper wallet into a staking node and stake with it. This way you have a backup of your address on paper if something happens to your node like hard drive failure. But the address will be hot and exposed to the evil people on the internets

I made a small mistake in the code, one line was missing in the staking code and the wallet was showing 0 in getstakinginfo, I blame my cat that is always walking on my keyboard Version 1.2.1 is now the latest one. Links in the OP are updated. Please update to the latest one. Nice. I noticed: Linux nevacoind is missing from binaries Also couple things: nevacoin_qt_linux_v1.2.1.zip.zip :-) double zipped?-) and Nevacoin-qt_windows_v1.2.1.zip inside there is "Nevacoin Core Wallet.exe", not Nevacoin-qt.exe as before. I fixed the doubble zip And the exe was renamed, I think most people dont know what qt stands for
