As much as it sickens me to see ponzi operators rape this young community,  I don't think they they should be deleted.

However this is not not gambling,  its a scheme.  A ponzi scheme.   Gambling involves a game.

Totally agree. Ponzi schemes should be removed.

A high chance of winning what?  25x your bet??? Wow!!! Aside from the jackpot, your slot game is borderline theft.  The most you can win on any combination is 25X your bet.  That's a complete sham and impossible for any player to win anything significant expect the jackpot.  I've never in my life seen a slot game with worse paytables.  If only 1.6 is contributed to the progressive, you guys are robbing players blind with those paytables.

If I am betting max 20 lines and each line was $1, I am betting $20 to win whopping $500 unless I hit the miracle jackpot.  Actually I just noticed the scatters pay 100x bet.  Still small potatoes for playing maxbet.  I can't convey enough what a sham that slot game is, maybe if the wilds doubled or tripled the win would it be somewhat fair in terms of paytables, and even then it would still be a far cry from the normal.  But either way you slice it that game is ripping people off bigtime.  Just look at some of the paytables of standard softwares like rtg.  People need to know what a sham your slot game is.  Im not just saying that because I lost money, it's the absolute truth.  It's a hell of a gig, I gotta say.  Unsuspecting players are getting robbed blind in that game and are none the wiser.

So to sum it up, your best pay line outside of the progressive is 100X bet with 5 scatters which is a joke.  And every other payline is 25X bet or less.  That's absolute highway robbery and players need to know they have no chance at winning any real money unless they hit the progressive...

Thanks for your feedback on slots.

We picked the reels and pay table in the hopes of a slots game that has frequent wins and a large progressive jackpot.

Just so that there is no confusion on this, the house edge in Slots is only 0.5%. Compared to our other games, we don’t have any significant house edge advantage over any of the other games. Slots contributes 1.6% of all bets towards the progressive jackpot, compared to a whopping 2.2% contributed in Roulette.

We run the pay table through a simulation that tries out every possibility in the five reels. From that we get a win % chance and expected house edge. We then contribute all the house edge, minus 0.5%, to the progressive jackpot. One thing we could do would be to increase the base payout of the slots game, at the cost of reducing the progressive jackpot contribution. If anybody has a proposal on how to do this, we can run it through our simulator and change the reels if the numbers work out.

If we can run a slots game where more people are enjoying themselves, everybody wins.

570  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which bitcoin casino is your favourite and why? on: January 30, 2014, 06:01:27 AM

I see your favourite casino is BitZino then according to this post? Wink I guess you must be running the bitcoincasinopro review page. Seems like a good entry for a newbie like me to discover the space:) How about promotions? I do not really see many casinos offering any deposit bonuses. Is this because there is an issue of abusing them? In the end the margins running your own games should be quite high so giving something on top should not be an issue.

Do you think provability is really so important and why the iGaming industry did not implement it yet?

To be honest I was trying to understand how it works on BitZino and there is no way I am able to prove the result with my knowledge - I get stucked with Marseene Twist ... . To me it seems like a good advertisement point but I fear for an ordinary Joe like me that would be too sophisticated to crack down and actually prove it manually.

Is provability important just for casinos that are running software from 3d party providers that are not very well known or casinos that are not really licensed to protect against scammers maybe?

I am not so sure that a normal casino player fear when playing a game from NET ENT or Playtech that they are actually tweaking their RNG? In the end most of the big casinos out there in the iGaming industry are either using Microgaming, Playtech or Netent and some others smaller providers. Games run on their servers for multiple operators so they have a huge reputation to loose if they would set up the games manually.

I can only speak for BitcoinVideoCasino, but we don't offer deposit bonuses and other promotions because our house edge is too low for it to be a profitable marketing strategy. It's better for the players to pick casinos with published low house edges than play with casinos who have an edge high enough to offer bonuses. Those casinos are also much less likely to publish their rates.

We also developed every game from the ground up ourselves, we're provably fair, we publish house edge, our Android app is open source, and we have a publicly available API. Users on BitcoinVideoCasino also have the option to manually change the client seed. Provable fairness is important in the Bitcoin Casino industry because we have no regulatory bodies, there has to be some way to monitor a casino's behavior and players need assurances that they are not being scammed.

How can I have my password reset? I keep forgetting them plus I play from my iDevice at times so I'm sure I have about 25 accounts. But I want my first account back, the one that's attached to my name. Is this possible? Thanks!

Sure, I can look into resetting your password. Do you mind sending me a quick note at admin@bitcoinvideocasino.com with your account details? Thanks.

No bots? Then perhaps you can explain this anomaly. I'm the only playing spinning the slot. Then a player joins, starts hitting scatters all over the place, meanwhile I'm doing nothing but losing. This happens all he time... Right now as a matter of fact. And every time the game appears to want to hit 3 scatters, it hesitates. What I don't understand is how some players join the game and are seemingly very lucky to win. Me on the other hand... Well, let's just say this is the last time I'll be losing to your site. That's the last .5 you'll get from me. Enjoy.

I'm not sure. It's possible that they were playing games very quickly, so they will get 3 scatters more often.

We tried to pick a slots reel ordering that has a high chance of winning and also a large expected jackpot. We run the reel configuration through a simulator that tries every combination to see what the outcome will be. From that information we contribute all expected winnings to the progressive jackpot, except for the 0.5% house edge. We currently contribute 1.6% of slots bets to the progressive jackpot. We could try to find a reel configuration that contributes less to the jackpot but pays more out to all players. Would something like that be preferable?

Pro's

Deposits are almost instantaneous
As soon as your deposit has a few confirmations, you can withdrawl
Withdrawing is super fast
The 1/1000th btc is fun for blackjack (

Con's
Blackjack rules are lousy.
  • Dealer doesn't check for BJ, so you can draw up to 21 - still lose.
  • Double down vs. an Ace - dealer has BJ, you lose both bets.
  • Split vs Ace - dealer has BJ - lose both bets.

Saw somewhere one time the crazy odds of a dealer hitting 4 BJ's in a row.  Can't say I've seen that, but saw the dealer hit 3 BJ's in a row tonight twice (followed by dealer drawing to 21 next hand on one)...I managed to hit BJ twice in a row once.

Contact form from the website works good.  Emailing directly to admin results in a bounce (the 2 times I tried)

Can't speak for bots or anything.

Thanks for your review of the site. I really appreciate it.

Can I ask what email address you tried using? admin@bitcoinvideocasino.com should work. If something is broken we will fix it immediately.

Yes, I can understand that the no dealer peek rule is frustrating. We picked a combination of blackjack rules to create a 0.5% house edge. Maybe we should revisit these rules to enable dealer peeking.
574  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Video Casino -- New .0001 BTC Credit sizes! [UPDATED 12/04/2013] on: January 27, 2014, 06:36:46 AM
Bitcoin Video Casino does absolutely not run any bots. We released the API for our site in the hopes that people would create their own online casinos and earn good referral money from new accounts created. Unfortunately, it looks like some people are using the API to create bots that quickly play games in order to win the jackpot. The bots seem to start betting once the jackpot has reached +EV.

If the bots are creating a negative experience for our users, we will need to do something about it. It’s not really possible for us to disable the API, since the website and Android app both use the API to play the games. We could perhaps put in speed and IP address limits to prevent the bots from playing too quickly. If anybody has a solution for this, please let me know.

Since our website is 100% provably fair, there is no way for us to cheat in any of the games. Everything is completely transparent. It is not possible for us to prevent people from winning the big jackpots. We run the site with the knowledge that we have a 0.5% house edge on games played, which means that we don’t need to cheat or do anything malicious to come out ahead.

Our mission since the first day was to create an honest and fun gaming experience for our users. We are still committed to this.
575  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Video Casino is for sale on: January 20, 2014, 03:42:33 PM
Sad to see you guys leave the industry, good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the nice words. Smiley

If we can't find a trustworthy buyer, we'll happily continue working our asses off on this site. We would however love to start working on new Bitcoin projects. We have some cool ideas, so we're not going anywhere. Smiley
576  Economy / Gambling / Bitcoin Video Casino is for sale on: January 20, 2014, 02:16:28 PM
The developers of Bitcoin Video Casino are looking for a buyer to take over all site operations.

Since we started Bitcoin Video Casino a year ago, there has been enormous growth in both the casino and Bitcoin as a currency. This past month has been our busiest to date, and we expect this growth to continue. The increased demands of a rapidly growing website have everyone on the team working more than full time.  Under a new team, Bitcoin Video Casino can realize its full potential while we devote more time to new projects benefiting the Bitcoin community and economy.

We love Bitcoin Video Casino and its users, and will only sell to someone that we believe will ultimately improve the quality of the site for its users. It must be somebody that we know will continue to operate a 100% legitimate online gaming site. This means that the owner values user privacy and provably fair gaming. If we cannot find a buyer that we can trust, we will continue to operate the site by ourselves until we find such a person.

Your purchase will get you the complete ownership of everything related to Bitcoin Video Casino. This includes source code, server access, branding, images, and all social media profiles. If the new owner requires our assistance and expertise for a transition period after the sale, this can be arranged.

Please send your serious offer, along with a summary of your experience and qualifications for operating an online site, to admin@bitcoinvideocasino.com. We will provide financial reports and other investment information to serious buyers before the sale.
577  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Video Casino -- New .0001 BTC Credit sizes! [UPDATED 12/04/2013] on: January 18, 2014, 11:25:29 AM
Congrats user wrhokage1 on your massive Slots jackpot! The jackpot was worth 160.71 bitcoins or $131,300.

Okay, you can totally tone it down a bit now, don't you think? You realize you've paid out over a half million in jackpots just in the last two months alone? With the average size if your daily client base, and the fact that the majority bet the bare min, shouldn't you be way in the red? At first these posted jackpot wins drew me in, but now they're just getting ridiculous. I can't imagine a casino taking big loses like this and being able to recoup from 10 players getting .001 on most days on average. I also find it odd that these "big" winners are new players who never return to play! Oh, except this player, thus is his second jackpot in less than two months.

The jig is up! it took some of us a lil minute to realize.... but we all know this is just a ploy to increase your client base. Move onto a new marketing strategy, for your sake. You should've stuck with the smaller jackpots... Those would've been more realistic.

I can understand that some of these numbers seem fantastical. However, we absolutely are not making up any of these jackpot wins. Since the day we started, we have always agreed to be 100% honest and fair with our users. We have never strayed from that.

We have no control over when the next jackpot win will happen. Therefore, some jackpots will be bigger than others.

We do get mostly 0.0001 and 0.001 BTC players, but we still get many players that bet significantly more. Slots in particular gets a lot of big players, and as a result the jackpots grow quickly. This most recent jackpot was from playing 0.005 BTC slots, which had accumulated a quite large progressive jackpot.

By clicking the "expected return" link, you can see what % of each game goes towards the jackpot for each game. From that, you can calculate how much has been bet in order to create each progressive jackpot.

The truth is that the site has gotten a lot of users over the past few months, which we are incredibly happy about. We also increased the max bet size for many games, which resulted in bigger jackpot prizes. We have worked so hard on this project, so it's really wonderful to see users come and enjoy the site.

If there is anything I could say or do to convince you that we are 100% honest, please let me know.

Hey Tom, I am a player on btcasino, name is BigMonty/ShisoLeaf/BlackSheep on there. Are you all hiring? Also, I noticed on the slots something, if you click spin too fast after it rolls, does the win amount get messed up if you do it too fast? Just wondering because I was clicking it very fast at one point and got very little return. Thanks.

Howdy BigMonty! Smiley

It shouldn't matter how quickly you press the spin button. Your web browser sends a spin command to our server, and the game is instantly resolved and the result is reported back. If your web browser is somehow messing up the display, that would be a bug and we could try to hunt it down if we got more information.

We're not hiring at the moment, but perhaps in the future we might want some mods to help out new users. We'll be sure let you know if this happens.
