Why do we have to get out of ETH when it is rising? Look at the price now, It has reached over $450 now. So, we should hold it until 2018. It will go up to $1000.

Its unbelievable how quickly thing have changed in 6 months. Ethereum was close to passing bitcoin in market cap, but now ethereum is just a tiny fraction of bitcoins market cap.

No, just remember when it was about 0,12 each ethereum a few months ago. It is never going to be the same, because bitcoin has increased much more than ethereum during the last time.
It might be dropping to 0.03 if bitcoin decides to go up a little bit more.
Ethereum has been increasing too, but it is not following the real pattern of bitcoin, and that is the reason of why the btc/eth price has been dropping like water from a cascade.
Poor of those people who bought ethereum with bitcoins when it was 0.12 each eth. What a huge loss.
And the worst thing for them is that I do not see ethereum recovering that ground anytime soon, they are going to remain in a position that is very difficult, do they hold waiting for the price of ethereum to recover or do they sell and admit the fact they made a mistake but at the same time forfeiting any possibility of recovering their losses. Many people are prob trying to figure that out. It's not looking good for ethereum right now. |

Everyone is complaining about cryoptokitty bogging down eth network but I see it as a good thing that real use cases will be built using ethereum. Scaling will obviously get better just like the internet did.

Why do people usually call Ripple a scam? I'm honestly trying to understand the criticism to make an informed investment on it.
It's not a scam but people have lost a lot of bitcoin buying it over the last 6 months. Its the only top 10 coin that has been going down for 6 months and no amount of great news has had an effect on its price. |

You obviously haven't been reading the news then. There is a ton of media coverage on XRP/Ripple, from an XRP hedge fund to the latest deal with Amex. There is a lot of activity. What people in the crypto space don't understand, typically because they're chasing short term gains, is that XRP will be a slow burn. By releasing more XRP in a controlled manner over time, they limit the inflation/deflation of XRP, so that it's costs don't become untenable for their corporate users. Nobody expects massive returns from Tether/USD, because that's not their model. Ripple is similar. If regulators clamp down on the BTC and ALT markets, Ripple will stay solid because of it's corporate governance and use cases. Like I've said numerous times on this thread, XRP is not a coin for explosive growth. Think of it as more of a safe haven ( a bit like Tether) with slow steady growth, that will survive regulations, should they start closing out the BTC market. xrp had the most explosive growth of any altcoin in the spring this year! It is a good coin. Thats it. You do not need to care much about the reason. IT is good, and because it is good, we need to buy it. Ethereum is better than bitcoin in many many ways and if you know how the blockchain work, you will know why ethereum is stronger than bitcoin. Just buy ethereum when you can. You will never regret aobut it

Its great that you believe in your investment with ripple but you have to admit. Most xrp investors would have already made a fortune if they just left it in bitcoin.
