581  Bitcoin / Hardware / KNC NEPTUNE UPDATE 2/4/14...Thoughts? on: February 05, 2014, 07:33:29 AM
Any Neptune Pre-Order have thoughts on the update released today regarding Plan B? Are you going to use Plan B or have them ship you your Neptunes...any input?
582  Economy / Economics / Re: Quick way to buy BTC without a long wait???? on: January 30, 2014, 06:18:39 AM
I'm definitely biased, but CoinRnr.com has some of the fastest delivery speeds around (most orders processed within 15 minutes). We are US based and are accepting cash deposits to Bank of America and Wells Fargo at this time. Looking to add other banks as well as payment options shortly. You can also sell your coins to us and receive bank transfers (US only).

Our bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=426068.

What % is your buy-sell spread?

Our priced aren't fixed on a particular exchange and instead on our own supply/demand so they vary over time. On average our buy price (including fees, if there are any) is 3-7% above bitstamp's price and our sell price 1-3%.

Are you licensed to sell bitcoins? Do you have an AML program and keep track of identities? Im not looking to get busted by the feds like shrem

584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can help the aids / hooker community? on: January 28, 2014, 02:44:49 AM
I think the point of strippers and hookers is you touch them...but yes it would be safer. Probably less dead hookers in the trunks of cars
585  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: KNC NEPTUNE PRIVATE BATCH SALE on: January 27, 2014, 03:07:18 AM
Keep your brick. I'll keep my 25K and invest in BTC.

Yeah but after you invest youre done...thats it...you just stare at it...at least with a miner it has potential for future earnings after bitcoin
586  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: KNC NEPTUNE PRIVATE BATCH SALE on: January 27, 2014, 03:05:39 AM
I got an offer for 25k, and on the surface its good, but no one really knows what will happen for future coins and a very powerful sha miner will probably come in handy after bitcoin becomes unprofitable...any input?

wow 25k for a miner. i would rather buy 25k in bitcoin, mining difficulty and mining i general seems to be a volatile business

yeah but you can make a lot of money when new coins come out that are only available by mining...so it has a lot of future potential for future earnings...and if bitcoin goes to 2k by March, the neptunes could be worth 40k or more
587  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: KNC NEPTUNE PRIVATE BATCH SALE on: January 27, 2014, 03:03:56 AM
Did you really believe in bitcoin when you placed the order? Or was it purchased on speculation?

Mtnminer

Oh i believe buddy...im all about it. I ordered 3...I should of said that. This is 1 of 3

589  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Why people buy not profitable hardware? on: January 26, 2014, 10:24:56 PM
I agree with fsparv.
I think one can spend a couple of hundred bucks "as a game", or even for the sake of community, but who spend many thousands of dollars must see some profit in it.

I saw even more priced ebay bids than these:

http://www.ebay.it/itm/Bitcoin-Miner-Bitmain-Antminer-S1-180-GH-s-1-3-KnC-Jupiter-Standalone-ohne-USB-/251432829377

Maybe they buy ASICs, mine some week, and then resell the items.
IMHO it's one of the many ways to make profit with BC.

Did you factor in that bitcoin isnt necessarily always the most profitable sha coin to mine, and there might be other sha coins that come out in the future like unobtanium?

.76 BTC

Great info everyone.  I am checking this all out now.
I appreciate all the help.
So many scams it's difficult to know what to do.

How many coins are you looking for?

How are you trying to pay?

594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BFL: Hardware Wallet?! on: January 25, 2014, 06:55:03 AM
I won't give BFL any of my money unless Josh personally gives me a rim job first. Oh, that should also include a reach around and a slurpy tea bag.

hahaha, I need a slurpy tea bag from josh too...
595  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Disclose the identity owners of exchanges BTC-e.com on: January 25, 2014, 05:19:08 AM

Anyone who puts any money that they cannot walk away from (with a laugh) under control of someone they cannot ID and go after is a total dumb fuck in my opinion.  Bitcoin's short history is replete with examples of why.

That's part of the reason I don't have a BTC-E or Bitstamp account.  I value my document scans at about $10k so right there is plenty reason to avoid these two operators even if I could limit my losses by holding few funds with them.

---

Everyone who provides any 'financial services' to the Bitcoin community should be pre-doxed IMHO.  I wish someone would set up a service to do this.  Most legitimate and responsible shops will dox themselves, but it would be of value to have someone proficient verify anyway.

596  Economy / Economics / Re: BFL ASIC REFUNDS - Why? NOT FCC APPROVED! Class action? on: January 25, 2014, 03:57:19 AM
They pissed me off... Their customer service is terrible... I have had their products for less than a month!

I just purchased form them nearly 9k worth of equipment, 1 defective powersupply out of the box and another 50 gh unit failed after 24 hrs
now I have another one that just went under 45 GH so I need another RMA as its under thier 10% tolerance policy and they dont respond! I think they are selling fixed / refurbisned former RMA parts right now cleaaring out the warehouse so to say. If they are that is another crime selling refurbished as new... cant be done in this country either.

So I want my money back!

After looking into things, I see they do not have FCC approval and the posting quote above seem to think so, I called the FCC and spoke to an agent they are going to get me to the right person to have a definitive yes or no.

The law is the law and you cant violate the law for over a year and then try to fix things after the fact.. This is AMERICA and we all HAVE TO HAVE a level playing field.

Quite simply put they need to be responsive to their customers or they are going to piss off the wrong person and... well... now the FCC can have their way with them.

I am also looking into a lawsuit at the moment, anyone want to join, PM me.

Im in, you should post on reddit too...im sure everyone is getting sick over those bullshit monarch preorders. I just saw one on ebay with a 99 cent starting price...They have fucked over so many people its obviously laughable...we should start a Bitcoinstarter campaign to raise money to sue...seriously
597  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Disclose the identity owners of exchanges BTC-e.com on: January 25, 2014, 03:41:08 AM
Well of course withdraws will work smoothly until they shut down and take off with your money. Im all for this...everyone has a right to know who is in control of their money. If you dont want your identity known, obviously youre up to some shady shit.

So insist on seeing credentials before using a service or otherwise sending BTC. This approach whereby anyone with a tempting enough promise can be trusted up until things get uncomfortable at which point pitchforks is as ineffective as it is insensible.

Have an office, be public, speak, and help the community...these Fers make enough money to be totally legit.
598  Economy / Economics / Re: mtGox vs btc-e price? on: January 24, 2014, 10:51:59 PM
Pardon me...but your noob is showing  Shocked

Yep I'm sure it is, but why not explain what you mean.

You couldn't buy the BTC at btc-e and sell it for $100 more at mtgox?

You will never get any money from gox...its always at least 100 more than other exchanges. You cant even get an account approved...

Josh and Slok refuse to deal with the question... over at BFL

Perhaps if we start a class action suit that will get their attention to give prompt customer service

I want to fight Josh...I would of so fucked their shit up at CES if I could of gone. I would of protested their booth and sent their potential customers running for the hills
