581  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: KnCMiner or BFL on: July 27, 2013, 09:24:30 PM
BFL is a scammy worthless company. Go with KnCminer. They have more hashpower and cheaper and they have a better price.

No contest

They did not deliver anything as of yet. I heard that they ran into some delays making the september delivery impossible.

I wouldn't buy any of these at the moment, but your argument is laughable at best.
582  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: KnCMiner or BFL on: July 27, 2013, 10:30:15 AM
I would wait with an ASIC purchase until the market cools down. eg: BFL catches up with their back log.

The competition will be stronger when new legitimate ASIC vendors appear and deliver.

No matter which company you order from I think it's crucial to be in the first "2 batches" of shipments.
583  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: July 26, 2013, 06:05:06 PM

a.) Liquidity problems.  Buy MOAR BTC to increase our arb profitzz! (I'm sure they don't have an account at Bitstamp)
b.) Lies Lies Lies.  1.2 M is a minuscule fraction of daily flows for a bank.
c.) Gox's incompetence/banks
d.) Silence is golden?  They have no idea how to shore up confidence.  They are out of excuses and have decided to play the quiet game.

I know that it is frustrating especially if you had plans with the money.

On the other hand, I can understand the massive number of "unforeseen" problems. Even if you have a normal company, which doesn't deal with "exotic" currencies, banking and payment processing can be a nightmare.

Raging about mtgox anonymously on forums won't net anything positive. If you lost faith in mtgox then use an other exchange.

I'm just trying to warn people to get their money of out Gox before its too late.  A member of the forum posted that a WSJ reporter is working on an article as we speak.  Now its only a matter of time.

The problem is "A member of the forum posted that"....LOL

590  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you deal with grief? on: July 25, 2013, 11:09:11 AM
It was hard to change my view about death, but I think it's not something anyone should fear or be sad about. Everything in the Universe are destined to die. planets, suns and even black holes. I don't look at it as a negative event, more so the only granted thing everyone is going to "experience" sooner or later.

I think that the common stance of religions about death is as false as any other ideas they represent. Having said that, I don't believe in afterlife or in any spiritual nonsense.
591  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Dead Seasonic PSU! Please help! on: July 24, 2013, 01:52:34 PM
1000W seems a little low to me. I would've used 1200-1500W for piece of mind.

Can you test them with a bigger PSU?

Also, How's your airflow?
592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using a separate bank account for Bitcoin income on: July 24, 2013, 10:56:29 AM
As always, redundancy is very important. More so If there's a 3rd party (bank, payment processor) involved.

593  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What will 100GH/s earn per day in October 2013? on: July 24, 2013, 08:14:09 AM
In total I have purchased 100 GH/s of mining gear due to be delivered* sometime between September and October.

I am estimating that 1 GH/s in September/October will earn ~0.01 btc per day, do you guys feel that this assessment is high or low or about right? This estimation is based upon my own gear earning .0175 @ ~850 MH/s up until about last week, when I shut it down.

Is it reasonable for me to expect that 100 GH/s will earn 1BTC per day in September/October? Or do you expect it to be more like 0.50-0.75 per day? Or even less?

*The devices will not be delivered per say but hosted and hashing.

Your thoughts and math are appreciated.

Assuming 12% growth compounded growth during each difficulty adjustment, you should still see about 0.8 BTC per day for 100GH/s machine if you receive the machine on 1st week of Oct.

However, if you paid more than 100 BTC for the machine, you will most likely not make your ROI.

The last 2 difficulty jumps were ~20%. I expect this rate to accelerate. :O
594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin becoming the one world currency for the New World Order? on: July 24, 2013, 08:07:48 AM
then there really is no hope left for this planet. You will need to find another one to live on.

The planet will be just fine. When humans end their lives because of their silly behaviour or an accident then all the remaining organisms will have a lovely time.

Simple life forms, like bacteria will be the last survivors Smiley

As for the new world order conspiracy:

I believe that ultimately, the controlling elite always wants the "upper hands" no matter who are they. Every single time if a humanoid gets power in their hands they abuse it like there's no tomorrow. So I don't think there's a specific circle of people in control, rather the ones who get in influential positions.

Also, don't forget that most people doesn't care about things many of us care here. they don't want to think (about anything). :O
595  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: July 24, 2013, 07:56:25 AM
My girlfriend has 6 bitcoins. Acquired them when they were around 50-60. She isn't the shopaholic type though and doesn't need/want to spend them.
596  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [12000 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + UserDiff; ASIC tested on: July 23, 2013, 05:45:33 PM
What's that?
Three invalid blocks in a row?

19247, 19248 and 19249

On the first one only a few validation were missing ....

Weird indeed. Wanted to look up but blockchain.info is down.
Does anyone have info about what was happening?

   T

It shows ok on blockchain. I really hope it's possible to fix :S

Yes, I have also confirmed it via blockexplorer during the outage of blockchain.info.
Everything is back to normal by now on the stats page as well.

   T

Interestingly, I'm still missing the reward for the invalid blocks :S

The invalid entries on the stat page disappeared though

Is there an official MTGOX statement which I have missed?

I have 2 SEPAs stuck:

2013/05/29
2013/06/11

None of them got to my bank account.

600  Economy / Speculation / Re: I believe the price has nowhere to go but down and here's why I think so. on: July 21, 2013, 05:30:50 PM
We've seen the speculators get flushed out, when the price moved down to $60

Now it's only strong hands holding bitcoin.

I don't see any downwards movements in the near future, unless there is a fundamental cause - ie. a problem with the blockchain or protocol, or a serious competitor

Speculators will move in full swing when there's a significant drop.
