I created this poll for alternate coins only because I'm totally sure that Bitcoin will remain #1 digital coin. Despite this I think there's enough space for another coin which will become a real alternative to BTC. Not competition but an alternative. Something like gold and silver.
I did want reiterate though, I only mean the Alternate Cryptocurrencies subforum. All other forums seem to either not recognize the existence of anything but Bitcoin or enjoy living by a haters gonna hate sort of lifestyle, it's hard to tell if there exists anything other than those extremes. . I think overall Bitcoin would still be #1, but it would be an interesting peak into how strongly people here feel about the other currencies |

So a kid is building with his Lego blocks having fun. He builds a bank. Some of the kids at school pretend to use it. The neighbor kid keeps telling all the kids on the school yard that he is going to rob that stupid Lego bank and then break it, I mean, it is made of Lego's, people should have no joy in life says the kid, and then one day he breaks it. So he does, and even robs the imaginary money that school yard chums had in their accounts. I believe if you tell this story to the police, they will say it's time to grow up and stop playing with Lego's. At most the neighbor kid might have done some physical damage or something that maybe the parents can cling onto for hope of repercussion. |

What are the requirements to become a Silk Road seller? How does a person go about that?
I figure a few things you could drop off as requirements if you were not concerned about the legality of your goods. I would love to sell people on the idea of taking their merchandise to the marketplace that supports alternative goods.

I love sitting back and watching the progression of alternative cryptocurrencies as they march past.
I swear to Christ someone needs to get http://z1x.dk/ on the blower to do a webcomic showing the presidents or governement or somebody putting together the american dollar bill, except it is being done out of spite of other peoples dollars and there is a flame war going on. Here is a thread I started about it on reddit. It got downvoted. I want everyone to see this and have a fair chance to be an early adopter. I don't remember such a well-planned release schedule with one of the design goals being fairness - if you agree, vote it up. Wow, beat me to that idea. I'll put up another reddit with a catchier headline tonight if yours stays downvoted. I already had the title in mind, something along the lines of "Did You Miss Out on The Bitcoin Gold Rush? Here is Your Chance Now" or something like that. |

Takeown the AppData folder and set Full Control permission.

Fuck yes it does. Of course it was something basic, I had to triple check every possible tabbed window with checkbox options to find a fucking Deny permission, really sorry guys, I swear I'll go full on Linux one day, I just don't have the time. Thanks guys. |

 I just pulled that from Google images, but that is the the window stopping point for me. Folders can be seen. I have show all folders, show hidden files, all that jazz, I am one of those odd computer users that doesn't like my files inaccessible to myself, so I think this is why it is bugging me. If anyone has a direct way to help, I guess PM or something, I don't want to clog up this thread with such a basic seeming issue. Also, can someone say that they can't get this working on their Macbook so I can feel a little less retarded here lol |

I fucking hate Windows 7. Only because I don't use it so don't get the little changes still. I have no access to the Application Data folder, and even so the icon is just shortcut to something else. I was reading how Win7 changed the Doc and Settings to Users and other little changes, but it seems one of the changes is I have no actual Application Data folder. Sorry guys to throw this in the thread, if anyone knows the quick easy way around whatever this is, thanks. Otherwise I guess I will just make a master .conf file to copy and paste to every directory till the right one is found :p
I'll be throwing this on an XP machine I guess, but I am curious about what changes Win7 made with all this shit, I am way late to finding all this out lol
