For those that have been using the Reward Entry feature on http://ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com/, I have an update.
You can now edit your entry if you make a mistake.  Wink
I plan on expanding this feature more soon. I plan to make it so you can pick a time duration and see your total BTC and averages for the specified time span.
582  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [8 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: January 05, 2016, 01:51:50 AM
This alerting function for Block discover / workers low hashrate alearting that DMwardjr shows me for Kano pool is so awesome.

Zach, is the one to be thanked for that.  When one gets to a point where they can send him a donation for his time invested, I know he would appreciate it.  Any amount helps.  No pressure, just when one gets to a point where they can donate a little.  I know he would appreciate our generosity just as we appreciate his pool monitor.

Thanks Zach!

Thanks for the kind words!

Indeed, I have found Zach's pool monitor app quite useful, and a bit of a time-burglar, so I am sending a bit o' ye olde BTC to the Zach-man!

Thank You!

Here's his address:  1ZACH1xYA5dxtZcwEPgdE7SfARJiKsSA5
Sent to the address linked in his app, different but I'm sure it's going to him!

I'm sure that one works as well.  I sent a donation about 10 days ago using the one he provides in his signature in the forums.

That is the same address that is shown on the monitor, not sure what address you would have sent it to?
You mention using the address linked in the app, do you mean the android app? Because that is not mine, that is CKPool Stats by TheOneJester.
If you are using his app and appreciate it, then I am glad that you sent the donation to him!  Smiley

I believe that all of us find it useful!  I need that email notification.  Thanks ZACHM!

I'm happy that it is working good for you.

Thanks Zach!

Your Welcome!

How long have you been mining on kano.is?

Here is broken down weekly BTC/THs/Day:

Nov 1 to 7: 0.011289
Nov 8 to 14: 0.005393
Nov 15 to 21: 0.008118
Nov 22 to 28: 0.004809
Nov 29 to Dec 5: 0.010969
Dec 6 to 12: 0.010881
Dec 13 to 19: 0.005943
Dec 20 to 26: 0.004633

You notice that Nov 8-14 and Nov 22-28 are just as low as the last two weeks, but those were when the pool hashrate was around 2PH. Those are the times of bad luck. But notice Dec 6-12, that is the week that the pool hashrate really started climbing on the 6th it was 2.7PH on the 12th is was 4.5PH and that was a very lucky week, 11 blocks!

Pool hashrate will not effect it, only luck will:
Black October we only found 12 blocks!
Pool Average was 2.07PH rewards worked out to 0.005 BTC/THs/Day

September = 0.0095
October = 0.005
November = 0.008
December = 0.0075

4 Month Average = 0.0075 BTC/THs/Day

4 Month decrease of 0.002 or 21%
Difficulty increase of 72%

I would be curious to see what the payout decrease on that PPS pool has been over that period of time, I bet it is a lot more than 21%.
587  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [6 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: December 27, 2015, 11:21:44 PM
Here are my numbers for November and December so far:

November
Avg Hash Rate = 15.605 THs
Total BTC = 3.75469745
BTC/THs = 0.2405964438
BTC/THs/Day = 0.2405964438 / 30 days = 0.00801988146

December
Avg Hash Rate = 15.945 THs
Total BTC = 3.21162685
BTC/THs = 0.2014151087
BTC/THs/Day = 0.2014151087 / 27 days = 0.00745981884

So that is a decrease of 0.00056006262 BTC/THs/Day or about 7%
Difficulty has increase 50% so I think a decrease of only 7% is pretty good.

StevenD,

I don't think you are understanding how the payout system of PPLNS works vs the PPS of the other pool you are using.

Take a look at how I explained it earlier:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.msg13198117#msg13198117
590  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [6 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: December 27, 2015, 07:06:03 PM
Two example days, when I was mining with an S3. please note that I do not mine constantly, its a hobby, so I have picked two days when I'm sure I mined all day

18th nov
384195    18/Nov 19:04   24.82829424   329.586G   178hr 36m 31s   2.20PHs   0.00%   13.514M   90.27GHs   0.00101805

24th Dec
389909    24/Dec 02:59    25.39503317   469.643G   100hr 41m 17s   5.56PHs   0.00%   4.522M   53.58GHs   0.00024451

First thing I noticed is that on the 18th when the pool was only 2.2ph I got more that 4x the reward than I did on the 25th when the pool was 5.56ph, I can see and understand that as the pool gets larger my S3  is a smaller and smaller share of the total ph and so get I a smaller share of the total reward.

You say that you mine off and on, you picked two "days" that you mined all day, but did you mine the full 5N prior to those blocks you picked? The answer is no. If you look at your average hashrate for those two blocks you picked you will see the average rate for the first one was 90ghs the second was 53ghs, so my guess is that you mined for nearly 1.7x longer during the 5N of the first block.

You can't compare blocks, you would need to compare something like a full week or month, and would need to mine for the same amount of time.

The other pool you were using was probably PPS, and for short duration would appear to payout better, but if you looked at a longer timespan it will be less then you would be getting here (as long as our luck stays as good as it has been).

Love that chicken!  Cool
592  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: December 22, 2015, 02:31:18 AM
As I said it is a work in progress.
I noticed two problems with the Rewards page:
1. The calculations are not including days when no blocks are found.
2. The 7, 14, 30 & 60 day averages are not calculating correctly.

I'll try to get these fixed tomorrow. Not a lot of time available right now... still need to get my wife something for Christmas.  Embarrassed

I had chicken tonight, so maybe some blocks and I can get her something good.  Grin

edit: Just noticed, if you only enter one block it won't give you any calculations, you need to enter at least two blocks.
593  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: December 21, 2015, 10:50:43 PM
New feature on ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com

Click on the button for "Your Rewards"

It is a manual one, but if you can enter your rewards for each block and your avg hashrate for that block.
Get the data from the Rewards page on Kano.is
This will let you keep track of the blocks and rewards with a calculated BTC/TH/Day.

It is a work in progress. Give it a try and let me know what your think.
594  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: December 19, 2015, 05:26:11 AM
Hey thanks and sorry for my mistake. Too many damn usernames to keep track. Will fix when home.

Cheers usukan

PM me your api key and I can manually update it for you now. Then your graph will start filling in.

edit: Never mind, I see you got it in there now.
595  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: December 19, 2015, 05:22:55 AM
...
On my site he has his username as usukanbay
Well that wouldn't work now would it Cheesy

Only if you had your api setup to say "well that's close enough".  Cheesy

One of those easy mistakes, I've definitely done things like that.
Check it 10 times thinking yeah everything is fine, why the hell isn't it working.
Then the 11th time you look at it and notice that you typed fast and wrote CAt instead of Cat.

He probably uses both usernames and typed the wrong one without even thinking about it.

edit: yup just saw your post above.
596  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: December 19, 2015, 04:54:21 AM
username ok - check
APIkey OK - check (pasted direct from Kano site) - suppose you just past key - not the whole /index.php?k=api&username=usukan&api=6e91XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXce815&json=y
BTC address blank (cos I dont use BTC address) - check
Primary email OK - check

zilch - try again

Your username is not correct.

I know it is telling you the APIKey is bad, but it needs both the username and APIKey, it happens to be the username that is wrong in this case.
...
Oh, heh didn't think to check the database Tongue

Nope, his username is correct (unless he's added spaces somewhere we can't see)
The parts of the key he's shown are correct also.

On my site he has his username as usukanbay

also another question - For LOW Hashrate notification - do you enter a low total for all workers - or a low limit for any individual worker?  I assume its total for all workers.

Thanks

Yes, low hashrate for the total of all workers.

Thanks, glad you like it.

Depends on video card, I have a Nvidia Geforce 660 Ti (a couple years old).
I ran it for 1 hour and found 4 addresses matching this prefix 1ZZZZZ
So average of 1 every 15 minutes.

i did mine case sensitive.. took forever but its just luck.. same as solo mining..

Yeah, mine was case sensitive.

hey Captminer,

I have all the links and resources i used to get it to work on my hd7970. it would hash at 25.2 mil keys a sec.  If you have amd still and want to give it a shot again i can give ya the links.. I used it for my addy here
1D57HeinZbBcBejL6Vp5pwEWsXfyHYUu4o

I didnt set it as case sensitive thats why its upper and lower case.. i tried it and it jumped my time to find to over a year lol

Best Regards
d57heinz

The Nvidia GeForce 660Ti gives me 28.5 mil keys per sec.

If I do the same 1ZZZZZ but case insensitive I get roughly 1 address every minute.

Noticed an unexpected transfer to my wallet.
Thank you to whoever sent me the BTC!
Much appreciated.  Grin

Nice... btw, off-topic... how did you get "ZACH" on your BTC address? Luck? Buy?
Noticed that Kano has "Kano" in his signature BTC address too!
While I know its purely random this BTC numbers -- how you stumble on to yours?

Have a look here @ Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0

Yup Vanitygen!

i would suggest not using the online one, but the link flikflak posted is the source code..
you do have to patch it for newer amd cards.. nasty has a txt at about page 100 or so that has the patch..

it takes about 2-3 days to get a nice 6 letter vanity address.
